So Jason and I broke up. It was pretty mutual, I'd been planning on breaking up with him but he got to it first. What really irks me is that he did it via text.

School starts for me on Monday, and we're taking my sister and her stuff down to southwest Missouri later today.

I've been having crazy dreams still, just haven't written them down. One I can think of could be made into a really cracky scifi movie. It had to do with fuses, rocket ships, explosions, strange baby aliens, a corrupted scientist, sparkles (no really), and yeah.

Recently finished The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan. It was pretty good. Zombies.

Also, HBP = WIN.

The Dream

My parents are forcing me to go to church. I try to find suitable clothes. Someone makes me angry, so I hide in the back. When everyone else stands up I slink to the floor. Dad and the priest have a conversation with cellphones out across the sanctuary. I slip away to find several younger versions of myself. There's a glass room with a guy in it, along with what look like some trophies and stuff. A girl comes along and starts bitching to me about the guy, but walk off and am suddenly dreaming I'm on a plane that is crashing into a village full of zombies. There are dinosaurs all around and I'm helping to fight off the zombies. There's two redheaded girls who could be sisters. An alien ship appears, we fight it, and then it's fighting itself. As I'm dreaming I realize that two of the operators of the ship have rebelled. There is dreamsex. I wake up from the dream within a dream to find I'm in a car with my mother and we're driving through a craft store. Then I wake up.

The aliens are because I was watching Men In Black II earlier. The zombies are because I was reading a book with zombies. All the other stuff.... no idea.

Other Stuff

In other news, Jason and I have been going out for a month now. I have a job interview on Monday.

School starts August 24.

Quick Life Update; HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY

Okay so really quickly I wanna say I have a boyfriend, his name is Jason, we love each other, and are currently insanely happy together.

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY I LOVE YOU.

The Dream

It all started with a song about Bella being a vampire, then proceeded boasting a sort of fucked-up foreign exchange program. Suddenly I "wake up" in a white room and am told I've been raped and am pregnant. Then I'm in a room, my hair is long again, brown at the top and bottom with a white-blonde stripe all around where my temples are. I have to cut my hair, so I begin to do so. Some guy comes in and tries to kill me by slicing my neck open with scissors. He's one of the doctors for the "Oh Crap I'm Pregnant" clinic. Whoever raped me has paid him $30 to kill me.

Then I'm in a dorm room. sharing the bed with an African-American woman. I've turned up the fan, so I give her another blanket. I'm four months along and for some reason the baby's hand or something is sticking out Alien-style from my stomach. My roommate calmly informs me that what I'm feeling is, in fact, the baby's brain. I'm concerned I'm hurting her by poking it, so I stop.

I'm on the phone with my mother, telling her what's happened and worrying about the baby. Somehow my dad has found out before she tells me not to tell him. There are bright blue and yellow monkey suits (they look like unstuffed sock monkeys) in my drawer. I'm cradling a tiny blue dragon after someone has broken the egg containing her against someone's head. I speak to my father, then my youngest sister, Leah, is in my room. She's on the phone with Mom. I resume the conversation I was having with her.

"Oh, Dad's taking Mr. Obama to work again?" I ask. I peek out the door of my room (we seem to be in a hotel) and wave to the President, who waves back. Then I go to my parents' room and throw what looks like the tail from a bright blue sock monkey at them. I go to another room, where my friends are gathered. I pace the floor, fretting about the baby, then ask, "Oh god, what am I going to tell Colby?"

Then I wake up.

My Analysis

So yeah. As far as I can tell, the whole pregnancy thing is stemming from my fear of getting pregnant at this time in my life.

Colby is most likely Colby Rasmus, the St. Louis Cardinals' star rookie this year. I'm working the All-Star FanFest later this morning here in St. Louis, so this may come from anxiety about that.

Also, I've developed a head cold/sinus infection, so I went to sleep after taking some Walgreens Cold Multi-Symptom tablets.

Random Stuff

I need a job, so until someone hires me I'm taking commissions. Or you can buy one of my paintings if you really really want one.

Other than that, I've been battling allergies, crazy siblings, and other things.

I'm trying out a new CSS. Tell me if you like it, okay? I think it's cute.

My shoutboard needs love.

I need to edit photos. Make art. Get these keychains off my desk and onto the wall. Yes, I collect keychains. Dad goes all over the US and brings them back for me.

On June 7th, =MissingHorcrux came through St. Louis! She ate homemade barbecue and spent the night at my house! Unfortunately, I lack pictures. Also, hopefully she didn't leave mentally scarred from meeting my insane family.

Lately days have been spent researching stuff for my crackfic.

Nights have been spent having crazy Benadryl-induced dreams.

Dreams

The first involved a house, spending the night, a nasty lady, and me taking her very yummy-looking son and adorable daughter (whose name was Paige but we called her Betty) to my house where I lived with several people, one of whom looked like =MissingHorcrux with longer hair. Then I called a house meeting to discuss the purchase of a hair dryer.

In the second, I was packing up paintings to leave a dorm. We all trooped onto a bus to go home, where I got a very rude message about being a procrastinator.

The third one was me driving through a forest. My car has automatic lights, but somehow they shut off. When I turned them on, I was in a tunnel. And then there was a lake, with waves crashing, and I was on the boat ramp. I hit the brakes, ended up stopping when the car was about a foot deep. There was another car behind me, but I hit reverse and managed to make a U-turn. Then I woke up, or realised I was dreaming, but I couldn't bring myself to move out of the dream for several seconds.

The fourth one happened during my afternoon nap (and was not Benadryl-induced). I was conducting a science experiment with liquid CO₂. This reacted with something, turning to a brown powder. I tried to wash the powder down the sink, but when the water hit it, it puffed up into the air, I inhaled, and the powder in the sink started behaving like mousse once you squeeze it into your hand. So I'm choking on this dust, brown foam is filling the sink, and I get sent to the nurse's office. Mom picks me up, but I forgot my wallet in the classroom. She drives me back to the room, which is now in a grassy field covered in hollow fulled with gravel or cat litter. There are dead bluebirds everywhere, some are headfirst in the gravel pits, with only the tips of their tails showing. I find my wallet, grab it, and go back to the car. There is a tiny dead bird smeared across the passenger window. I wake up.

If anyone wants to interpret these for me, feel free.

So.

I was gonna write a longwinded journal about crap, but right now I'd really like to lie down and sleep.

Ever since Monday before last (the 14th), my fibro has been slowly escalating, especially in my back, hips, and neck. I get out of bed and it hurts. I can hardly bend over anymore, nor can I stand on one leg to step into my pants. Everything seems to be a sit-down job now.

And work is not good. Thursday I wasn't there for thirty minutes before my back started aching.

On better news, I got commissioned two weeks ago for two of my Happy Ninja Plushies.

They're finished now, and they're on their merry way. Paid for and everything.

Then the very nice client wrote a blog about it! I won't link the blog here to protect her privacy, but damn did that make me excited! She even linked to my devArt page!

Anyways. I'm off for a nap.

The funeral was on Friday and we buried her on Saturday in Milford, IL.

She passed in her sleep at about 12:30 am, and my Gampa and my mother and my aunt with her. I'll be here in Illinois until Saturday.

We'll see how this goes. Last time one of my grandparents died, I ended up in the psychiatric ward for a week, and I wasn't even close to him.

I pray this won't end up like that did.

1. Sometimes I wish I hadn't broken up with you. I still care about you, I really do, but you can be so immature and unfeeling at times. And other times, you make me feel like a pile of shit.

2. I wish you'd never said "I love you." And I wish you lived closer.

3. It would have been nice if you hadn't lied to her, you bitch. It would have been nice if you hadn't been so selfish. She's got a family too. And it's BIGGER THAN YOURS. You were paying her less than she deserved in the first place! I hate you.

4. I wish you were a little more free with your hugs. Sometimes I really need one and you're the only person I can come to.

5. I wish you would accept me as I am.... a failure. I wish you didn't have such goddamn high expectations of me. I love you, but sometimes, you make me feel like such a tiny tiny person. It's not like you're perfect. You're hardly ever home and the company pays you less than you deserve for working all those extra hours. Just take the fucking overtime!

So today we're supposed to get some strong thunderstorms.

Normally I'd be all, "meh but yay storms" but the SPC (Storm Prediction Center) outlook has me worried. [link]

Rarely do you see the moderate, and only when they're fairly sure something's going down.

The town I live in is in that moderate area. If you look at the Tornado tab, my town is there (just barely). Hail and wind, oh yeah.

NOW, thanks to Mucinex D (and maybe that shot I got in my hip), I am nearly well! Still coughing, but not NEARLY as much nor as hard or deep.

SCHOOL.

Is school. Gotta start reading that book I gotta read too. Had a Civ test Friday. Think I did okay.

ALSO: New Featured Artist down the box. She's lovely.

So yeah. Update on my life. Will eventually get some more stuff up.

Tried a white mocha cause ~AbbyDarling said that if I venture the road of coffee, I should start there.

And after I mixed it up and added two packets of sugar, it was all right. Had to stir it a lot.

So most of you prolly don't know I've been keeping an eye on the Oscars this season.

The main reason is because my all-time favourite actor, Viggo Mortensen, got nominated for his FIRST EVER OSCAR. Best Actor in a Leading Role.

Unfortunately he did not win, which kinda ruined my night. Though, of course, I really shouldn't be that surprised because after years of being snubbed by the Academy, why would he pull the upset and beat out Daniel Day-Lewis?

So I was doing my education homework...

This is the most work I've put into it yet. Fo sho.

So, four parts to the assignment. First part, "Text Talk." Not so much effort there.

Second part, "Personal Connection."

"Choose ONE of the schools you have attended while you were growing up. Which of the characteristics of effective schools were present in your school? What would you change about the school, given an opportunity?"

Hosheet I forgot that last part.

2 minutes later: Okay we're good.

So anyways. Here's what I wrote:

"The one school I attended that had the most of the effective school characteristics was my high school. It had a very clear mission statement that the students and parents were reminded of every semester. There was plenty of academic focus and lots of parental involvement. There was an open house early on in each semester and parent-teacher conferences after the first grading period. The school size was not really optimal, though, as there were nearly 2,000 students. However, class size was kept close to the optimum size. IÂm not actually sure about the level of collective-efficacy, but the staff sure tried to change our lives. The leadership was very strong. We had a great principal (even though he wasnÂt that great at public speaking off the top of his head) and several assistant principals. The environment was orderly when it came to the classroom, but in the hallways between classes, it was anything but! I often pondered suggesting putting in traffic lanes in the hallways, much like on a road. I donÂt think it would have made much difference. Okay. So Heath Ledger died. Yeah he was hawt. Yeah he was in a lot of great movies (A Knight's Tale ftw).

And yeah, none of us expected this. Possibly any other person, such as, oh, I dunno, one of the Olsen twins or someone else, we might not be so surprised.

But Heath? He seemed like such a put-together guy, ya know? I guess we didn't. After all, look at what the police found in his apartment.

Just goes to show you that we can't take anything at face value. There's always something deeper. That girl in your class who's always so happy and bubbly, well, she's probably hurting deep inside.

However, looking back, I'm not surprised at the anti-anxiety pills. I mean, he's HUGE. An actor like him, always out in the spotlight, hell I'd get anxiety attacks too.

Not everyone is as put-together as they seem.

Tonight, I managed to hurt my lovey and myself in one blow.

I was rather nasty to her, and she told me that if that was how I was gonna treat her then fine, and she left.

Then I realised how much I had just screwed up.

Tonight was not a good night. I'm lacking sleep and medication and I'm stressed.

STEP ONE
