Yeah, no Sonic-related stuff recently because I'm really not interested in the franchise anymore. Sure, Chao are still cute, but... There just isn't a desire to draw Sonic-stuffs anymore. I'm quite unhappy about it, actually... Sonic artwork was the reason I became an artist. But now it's just... Boring. The same. Either 'lol omg KAWAII!' or 'thts so kute!!11' or... Well...

Damn, I just hate drawing cute things! If you need someone to blame, blame this kitty-cat: ~Infernal-Device . Too much time with this awesome guy at school has influenced me big-time. The evil has overcome me. I forever wish to draw people suffering =3 There's so much friggin' FUN to be had drawing dark, horrible things! I love it. Anime and evil artwork have been ruling my sketchpads (all four of them!) since October... Not a trace of Sonic anywhere...

...This account sucks. It's too damn happy.

I mean, if I submitted my 'evil'/anime artwork, I predict that 89% of my watchers would run the hell away (the other 11% are probably inactive ¦D). I don't much like the idea of fusing cute and sinister, ya see... It makes my gallery uneven.

The other thing is, anime is a tetchy subject on DA. From what I've seen, if you draw crap-tacular anime, you get slaughtered. Which is why I feel so, so scared XD

'In The House Of God' - because religion and faith work in mysterious ways, and I find both of them very beautiful. The power people posess inside is remarkable... Call it corny, but it's true. I love cathedrals, they're my favourite places to visit. There's an energy inside them that you just can't get anywhere else... It's gorgeous.

11) Best COMPLETED piece you ever did?
'Butterfly By Candlelight" - My first Pen-Tool completed picture... I look back, and it's very dated. However, I still love it because I remember that I enjoyed every step of making it.

12) Work that took the longest?
'SA Style Tails' - It seems the longest because I got so Emo while making it XD I kept losing my Pen paths and getting annoyed and having to re-save and start over SO MANY TIMES. ...Gah, that's the last time I try THAT style.

13) DA artist who has influenced you the most?
Oh, without a doubt it's miss =kaoru-chan . She's so talented and I adore her artwork... Before she became famous, she drew everyone pictures over at SoaH =3 I still cherish that piccie she drew for me and my hubby Mini XD But seriously, I've watched her on DA for years. I've loved every piece of her artwork, and it's inspired me to keep going and keep improving. I've witnessed her evolution from a Sonic Fan Artist to a top-notch Anime/Anthro artist and it's unbelievable how far she's come.

14) What is currently the funnest thing to draw?
Chibis. I love them and they're adorable. I draw sketchy chibis beside all of my big Anime pictures, usually doing something random 8D Or if it's got some kind of bishounen in it, there'll be a Kit chibi in the background perving in on the scene XD

Easiest thing to draw?
Female torsos. I love them curvy bodies ;D

For this reason, I've decided to go ahead and finish Kilphy Chao before Chalulu, because I don't want to risk doing a bad ink job on her... Kilphy's pretty much completely inked right now. She'll be the next completed, mereckons .o.

I think that's about it. I have so many unfinished pieces of crap on my hard drive that I think it's about time for a cleanup. I may chuck stuff in scraps, beware.

Thanks to everyone who commented about the fire, it certainly shook me up a bit... And I had a hard time getting to grips with the fact that some people actually have nothing, whereas others have art folders full of burnt, ruined pictures. But your comments were much appreciated, thank you so much~

I got interviewed for the local radio station about my thoughts on the fire, and I sounded like the biggest pillock ever. "Grow up... Burning down an art block doesn't make you any smarter," and "I'm gutted, absolutely gutted," were my favourite craptastical remarks.

I went and inspected the damage, because school started up again today. Heh, I was expecting the carnage from the newspapers, but it turns out they've removed the rooms completely and there's just a load of charred shapes on the ground. My form room, however, was still intact and absolutely charred to hell. Upon peering inside, I could see artwork that had been detroyed, some of it still peeling from the walls. It didn't make me a happy panda.

My art teacher told us that she had managed to save some pieces from the fire. I'd rather have all of mine burnt to cinders than see it in a ruined and unfixable state. But I should know sometime this week just what is left.

On to better news, I'm all ready to submit some new pictures! I have a list of commissions that I can start on now that I'm back from holiday, and I'm also working on a Halloween picture...

All in all, I feel much better. I can make a new start once again.

Holy crap. I played Halo for the first time (campaign, that is... I've had previous experience with multiplayer linkups and stuff) and it's actually quite fun. Although I felt better when the Marines were hanging about, I managed to get quite far on my own (considering I'm crap with first person shooters). But really, most of the time I was either getting lost or blowing the crap out of The Flood with a shotgun... Great fun, by the way. Flood go pop!

School is slowly devouring my brain. And work is slowly devouring my limbs. I must now retreat to the sofa and collapse.

Hello all. I'm in need of public opinion =o

For one, my >Amy On Ice< pic is leading my gallery with like, 70 faves. And little babykins >Rouge Chao< is running up behind with like, 60. Only one problem with this: WHY?
I've done plenty of Amy pictures, and for some obscure reason that I can't fathom, this one is the most popular. It's insane.
But you know what's more insane? Rouge Chao was originally a scrap XD And people love it to pieces. Someone even made a jacket transfer out of it: HERE.
I'm confused. Why are these pictures the most popular? Someone please enlighten me.

In other news;
English exam was awesome. I must've at least gotten a C for my efforts on grouping the language features D: If not, then AQA can expect bombs.

Meh, on the art side, I've been set the lovely task of doing 10 pages for my art homework. 10 pages. But I'm only going to do five, because I'm a rebel. In the meantime, I'm going to draw some pictures of foxes to make everyone happy; everyone loves foxes, right?

Oh, oh! Shadow's out now, is he? Lovely. Too bad for him I already got my hands on the soundtrack to his new game courtesy of the internet. You will all bow down to 'Chosen One', or suffer my pink and fluffy wrath! Aye, aye. I'm not getting this game anytime soon, though. Put it on my Christmas list, because I'd feel much happier seeing his gun pointing in my face at that time.

I should really post something soon. Luckily for the majority I have more pink fluffy hedgie-ness on the way, plus *finally* the ending piece of my Catsy trade. I'm a retard for taking this long, remind me to slap myself when I feel a little less ill.

School is a biznatch. Today we had a discussion on n00b talk, and when I wrote '1337 5p33k' on the board, everyone thought it was some super secret government morse code or something. All of my haunting Drama memories came flooding back, recently. I never told you guys about it when it happened, because I didn't feel like it. ... You know what? I get sad about the most stupid of things... Yet I can find reasons to get sad about them.
I haven't cried in a long while. But I broke the barrier last Drama lesson. We were asked to do a monologue (a piece you perform alone), and I had a go at it. I guess I got a decent mark... Kinda. Although it still depressed me like hell. A 16/20. That's around a B. But the problem was, every single other person got 17 and above. Even the people who don't give a damn about their lives. The people who skip lessons and spend all day smoking. They were all above me.
It hit me like a wall of ice. I was underneath them in quality. And nobody cared. During the break, I cried my eyes out. v_v When we all came back, no-one noticed. Man... I haven't been the same since that lesson. I have so many reasons to be sad about it. The fact that I want to take Drama as a career, and I was below everyone else. The fact that nobody noticed. The fact that I had to cope with everyone bragging about themselves. It was a pure shotgun moment. A moment that, if I could, I would whip out a shotgun and pick them off one by one. v_v Life sucks...

Uhm, let's just say I'm not feeling too great right now. I read the last few chapters of The Catcher In The Rye, which was for homework. Aww, poor psychopathic Holden.
In art-related news, I'm getting on with stuff quite casually. Not too casually, mind. Art Class is still sucky... I'm guaranteed to fail, but to tell the truth, I don't give a damn.
Most Haunted Live is on tonight, tomorrow and Sunday. Something to look forward too ^_^

Meh, I really shouldn't be on DA, right now x_x I should be doing my art homework. I have to say, I hate art with a passion. It's always draw something that already exists, or paint something that someone else has done... Hell, I thought art was about what you, as an artist, can create. Sheesh.

Speaking of kickass animé, whilst I was watching Mononoke, mum walked in. Heh, we had a little conversation:

KK: It's animé, mum. Just because it's a cartoon, doesn't mean it's for children. Want me to show you why I'm not too old for this movie?

Mum: Go on, then.

KK: *Flicks to the demonisation of the warthog* There. Oh, yeah, I see what you mean. A red, bloody, maggoty warthog demon throwing up blood and screeching like a dying bird is something we should let my little sisters watch. And, if that's not enough, *Flicks to the beating of the samurais* Oh, yeah. Heads, limbs, swords flying everywhere. I think kids would enjoy this movie so much.

Do you see what I mean? I'm sick and tired of people degrading animé because it's drawn the same way as some of the sucky kids shows on TV. People, Pokemon is a disgrace to the word, 'Anime'. The games are good, but... Heck. People just don't understand v_v;

If you like anime, I salute you! I'm determined to show the people of this world that there's more to cartoons than children. And, without furter ado, I will go and eat something sweet that decays your teeth.

^_^ Hi!

Current stuff is meh. I entered a competition with some pals (a drawing one, mwahahaha) to win Final Fantasy ... Um.. Whichever number it is, with £500 worth of New Look vouchers. GO ME! Hopefully we'll win, and then I can buy my mom some nice stuff for Mothers' Day! ^o^

Sonic X:Ok, I got my first glimpse of the plotline, I think. Last ep I saw was 42 or something, now I've jumped to 50. Oh, my, GOD. The furries are going back to their planet, right? But when our favourite blue bishounen-hedgie attempts to leave, rich boy Christopher turns the friggin' machine off. I think he deserves a great big 'KUSOOOOO!' Right now.
And next ep looks STRANGE! Either the artwork has been flushed and then published (nothing unusual there), or we've got a random flashback on our hands. Whoop-dee-frikkin' DOO. Another chance to screw up the storyline X_x

Oh yeah, I still hate CiTV because the presenters own this completely gay Sonic hat that I just want to BURN. In fact, I want to burn them ALL for putting Sonic next to Angelina Ballerina. Those idiots... I think I should write a formal complaint.

I use Adobe Photoshop 7 for all of my computer-aided work. Most effects can be produced with other graphic design software such as Paint Shop Pro and Painter.

Either by looking at existing works for inspiration and getting a new idea, or just doodling whatever comes to mind.

...Learn to draw like that?
Practicing and studying existing works. You can't just suddenly draw like Bara-Chan, right off the bat. There are lots of things that you need to understand, like physics, basic anatomy and proportion. After that, you get a higher sense of what should go where...

Can you teach me to make a website?
Uhm, no. But I can say that the basics are easy. Find a web host, design a site with a graphic program (I used Photoshop), and then code it with html/php/java. If you're not into that kinda stuff, then you can use a layout that sites offer for free. Try searching Google if you're stuck. For html coding, you'll find Lissa Explains very helpful.

Why are half of your characters Sonic recolours? Can't you think of something original?
*Counts* Overall, I have around 34 characters of my own. Only two of them, (Rosá and Kit) are considered recolours. They were made before I started drawing seriously; so back then I wasn't able to draw them properly and so I had to resort to recolouring existing characters. But they've evolved since then.
