Hey kiddies. I joined the internet age and got a PayPal account so I can stay rolling on 25" rims.

I'm limiting commission slots, because that's what I hear smart people do and I find emulating those people can usually result in positive effects. Also, don't worry if we have a previously standing agreement for a pic, it'll get handled as well.

==Commissions==

I'm opening 10 commission slots and I plan to complete the first ten before opening any additional slots, so maybe you want to ask me real quick like if you're inclined to do so. But first let's talk a bit about what it is I'm willing to do.

Will: BBWs (duh), Preg (o rly!?), goo-ish sort of things (whut?[see also: murk]), futa (!), absolutely normal men and women, character concept work, anthros, and all of the above come in animu or western flavors more or less (less pretty much goes for the non bbw things)

Won't: Shota, loli, inflation, vore, scat or watersports, and in most cases probably not sex either but really only because I probably can't handle the perspective well homeboys

If I did not address your concerns send me a note.

Regarding the sort of things you can ask of me and their relative prices:

Quickie sketches - I say quickie, but these things can come out pretty nice. Pretty much single character shots done with monochromatic stroke work. Some examples are Ten Pounds to Griffindor and The OTHER Felicia. Default resolution on these is 500x700 px, single characters by default, larger images or multiple characters by request with the price negotiation. If you want simple linework then this is the option for you, all for a still reasonable $10.

Quickie sketches + tones - Same as above, but with value added by tones instead of linework. For example, Slippery When Wet & Yawn Still a little rough around the edges, but less so than the above, $13.

Inked Sketch - The next step up from the first option. Here the lines are a bit smoother, with only final committed lines present in the finished peice, such as Space Rider. $20+ depending on complexity.

Inked Sketch + tones - I think by now you should be figuring this out. Similar to above with the same monochromatic tone treatment mentioned before, check this for an idea. $20

Those are the defaults, I can do other things as well, but they're more time-intensive and therefore a bit more expensive. Prices for the following are all privately negotiated.

Pencil Render - Like The Shootout but varied interpretation. Tonal values and linework are all done in pencil.

Style Emulation - I will as closely as possible render the image in the same manner as the requested source material. See Masane, or Chiharu redux, for examples.

Cel Colors - A fully rendered character colored in traditional animation style with stark shadow, midtone, and highlight render. See the two examples from style emulation or Savage Hunt TAS for examples. Backgrounds extra.

Full Color Renders - Fully rendered character in color utilizing "painted" method, accounting for tonal variations, shading, reflection, texturing, etc, including background elements. Here's a bunch of examples:

[link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]...

I'm really only eager to make the transfer of maybe one of them, though, so we'll see. Mostly I've been preoccupied with coloring books, and the subject matter just doesn't mesh with my audience so there.

On the horizon I see.... the possibility of following up on some Harry Potter-ness, the after-effects of a Trainer Suit, some revision of G!S!M! at its core premise, and the usual unpredictable concepts of whimsy.

More immediately there is a really promising and kick ass collaboration, though. Stay tuned.

Hey everyone, here's a slightly less nerdy somewhat more intelligible post.

I'm eleven deviations away from having the first page of my gallery be composed of my most recent work. I'm pretty happy about that, getting into working digitally and working with colors has been a great learning opportunity, and I think it allows me to do something a bit more with the art, even just within the FA-niche.

It also means that there's been a better turn-around time for me on pics, though I'm not as prolific as certain other artists, managing to get these done in addition to the work you guys don't usually see (school, "norm" art, etc) is a pretty big deal for me.

I think it would be a good thing for everyone to maybe try and be more productive so for the next thirty days I'm going to be trying a "Sketch-a-Day" challenge. While undoubtedly some of these will only be scrap pieces I feel like it'll generally be a pretty good thing to embark on.

So for anyone reading, why not take the challenge with me? Nothing too fancy, just simple drawing exercises every day for thirty days. Think you can do it?

Also, why isn't there an FA Art meme already? Get on it, Mr.Beam.

Hey everyone, just wanted to update the prices. I decided to give both prices a bit of a cut in the interest of making a piece from me somewhat more reasonable.
===End Edits===

Yo homies.

I don't know how successful anyone has been in terms of soliciting commissions here on DA, probably people moreso focused what would be considered "normal" art. Well I do THAT as well, but whatevers.

Long story short, I'm opening up shop for commissions. I'm not entirely sure about making chea stuff available, so I don't know that I'd do anything along the lines of a "quick sketch" for a nominal fee... It would probably end up being done with pencil on paper, and I'm not sure I feel like the quality would translate into something I'd really feel comfortable putting a pricetag on, even if it was small.

So mostly I'll be offering the choices of:

A single digitally inked character for $25

A single, digitally inked + colored character for $30

For more than one character rates would vary, payment method would be limited to money orders, I would say.

Not sure if anyone is interested, really, but the opportunirt to have a request fulfilled will basically fall to this for anyone asking for a request to be filled.

In terms of subject matter I won't do anything pornographic, and I don't really do inflation/pregnancy pics in terms of that. I can draw dudes as well, not that this gallery shows a lot of evidence of that, but specifics can all be ironed out through notes.

Please note: This is the ONLY way I will be fulfilling requests that aren't from previously standing agreements.

So, the correct answers from my last journal were actually:

But thanks for everyone else for playing! There were some good deviations at the other people posted, but I really feel like those groovy cats mentioned above are pushing up on the limits of quality for "our" fetishy branch of art.

It has been a considerable amount of time since I was really active on here, at least in terms of this account. I've been working as extensively as possible on bettering my capabilities in the realm of "normal" art, which hopefully pays off a bit in some of the work I'm posting here. Honestly, my most recent deviation is probably the happiest I've been with a piece of work in terms of execution, be it the fetish stuff or the normal stuff. (Despite Murdelli crushing my hopes and dreams)

~Shugamri posted something recently speaking to the sanctity of the artistic profession, which was interesting. I do not believe the profession, hobby, whatever you call it of art necessarily entitles anyone claiming to be such any SPECIAL benevolence. Ideally people could be polite in expressing any point of view regarding an art piece, but that's not quite making the same point. I figure PEOPLE deserve a certain amount of respect until they've shown themselves to not deserve congeniality, but artist's do not hold a station particularly above any other sort of person for the merit of being an artist. "Artist" itself is something of a relative term, which in turn makes it a difficult standard to judge by.

Somewhat related to that is the idea that whatever could be called a fetish-based or admiration-based or acceptance-based "community" here on deviantart centered around the concept of BBWs, expansion, fetishism, whatever you like to categorize it as or endorse, COULD use a bit of motivation to aspire to greater heights of talent and execution. That's not to say i don't think there's some talented bastards out there among us, there most certainly are. But having the idea that your art exists within this niche and therefore excusing yourself of the necessity to try harder or make images that are relevant on simple artistic merit even BEYOND a fetish/acceptance/enthusiasm is NOT to be encouraged.

If you believe the position of being an artist should enjoy a certain reverence, you should also expect more from yourself from an artistic standpoint.

All that jibber-jabber aside, let's get down to some serious bizness.

=====================================

I don't have any of those fancy poll options that come from a paying account or anything so we'll have to do this by way of write in. Doing the Symbiote's Embrace image reminded me of my old Trainer Suit Concepts. For my own benefit I decided to re-render these old ideas with a more polished technique.

I was pretty happy with it.

Which got me to thinking. There's a few more old ideas of mine I'd like to dust off and give a post-2007 try/makeover, and to that effect I already have one in particular I KNOW I'm going to attempt. Nonetheless, I'd like to get some opinions from my fellow deviants.

What original character that I've rendered previously would you like to see me redo? I'd prefer to not have it be an anime/videogame/other liscensed character as it holds very little appeal to me at the moment, so go to the trouble of looking through my gallery please and share your feedback with me here.

Thanks all, catch you next time!

I remind everyone that they agreed to not complain about my selection. So, you may be able to hide some angry post as a one-off on some other person's site or whatever, but if I see/catch wind of anyone disputing my choices, they will have forfeited any chance of recieving an image from me in the future.

So maybe keep that in mind.

That said, i've reached my decision.

I've decided that three of you will get requests.

I was going to give one to Dominoh, but he doesn't like charity, so I'll respect that.

Princeshadow, unfortunately I didn't find your appeal very convincing, and your request wasn't super inspiring. I've never liked trying to draw a sailor suit.

MrBeam was FAR too laid back, and he'll get to see new work from me anyway, so, no go for him.

SalamanderFlame, your story didn't strike a chord with me. Sorry.

Mutsumi's, again, I just wasn't SUPER compelled by your appeal. Sorry.

Same goes for Ubiquitous.

Hokage, you must defeat me in a challenge now to ever get a request from me. However, the game must be "Hokage Loses". Good luck.

Kalliopegal, you get requests plenty, and I do work without you taking some poor souls one shot. You'll see more from me, but not for this.

MistyStuffer, there might be an Azumanga Girl in your future, but not from this contest. Sorry, man.

Tearraspades, you can contact me about an art trade if you're inclined, but you don't get a freebie. Sorry! I do like that you're a fan, though!

DynamiteKnight and BB, we might be able to work out a partnership, but you don't get the freebie either.

Shugamri, once your story is done I may make fanart for it, but for right now, I can't accomodate a request!

SO!

The WINNERS!

Ruphia! I've always admired you, fella. I wish you'd make more work, but hopefully a request from me will help that.

Vader, You probably never expected to win, but the fact is you tried a bit harder than the rest, you crazy bastard.

AND! Roverpup, I'm interested to see what you would request.

And if the rest of you are dissatisfied, well... what can I say. You took your chances.

Guys!

Well, many artists have tendency to offer an open chance to get a request from them. To be impartial the method commonly used is "first come, first served".

I do not much cotton to this.

So, I'm going to offer the chance for a request pic with a VERY partial means of determining who gets it.

The offer is simple:

Tell me why YOU of all people should get a request pic.

As I said, this will be determined by my personal choice. Even by submitting a bid to this you leave it for me to judge and agree to the condition you WILL NOT complain if you are not chosen. I will not hear your reasons why you should've been chosen if you aren't selected.

If you think it's stupid to try so hard to get request from me, hey, totally your perogative. I'd just like to create an impetus besides a completely arbitrary standard for recieving a prize, and I really don't think a few lines about why you're more deserving than the guy saying "OMG, SIALOR VNEUS PLZ! KTHNXBY!".

The ball is in YOUR court, buddies!

PS: I also welcome anyone who wants to convince me to IM me your reason. Conversation can't hurt.

Something I've been thinking of trying is morphing. I know it's all but become a dead art nowadays, but I feel that's largely due to the fact that most old morphs sucked.

Seriously. Think about most morphs you've seen.

Go ahead.

Didn't they just SUUUUUUCK?

Now, let me be perfectly clear, I'm talking about morphing PHOTOGRAPHS of real life GIRLS into GIRLS THAT IN PRINCIPLE HAVE BEEN CHANGED BY GAINING WEIGHT.

I can almost guarantee that if good quality images are used for requests they probably won't suck.

This also does not mean I'm NOT drawing. I shall/am. So don't bother with the "d00d, morphing is wack." comments, because I could very well do without them as they will contribute NOTHING to what I'm interested in doing.

However, if you know someone interested/ARE interested yourself, feel free to note me, we can talk bidness.

IN OTHER NEWS!

I'm thinking of opening up Commissions. I'm kind of tired of doing things out of the goodness of my heart, particularly as the stuff I do seems to be taking up increasingly more time from other, possibly more constructive, activities.

Now I hate to be one of those "The Corporate Kawaiidebu SUCKS!" types, but the way things are going I'm finding it increasingly difficult to justify the time spent on the material you see posted on this here gallery. The sad fact is the entire "do it because you WANT to" thing just hasn't been working towards me producing anything, because my interests are mostly focused elsewhere.

Thing is, I don't WANT to give up doing this, and I think/hope there's some out there who are equally inclined that I continue to produce things.

All that being said, I'll have details next journal update on rates/whatnot. You could also note me if you're interested in something.

Now, will there still be non-commissioned things?

Sure, when/if I feel inspired to. But a lot of my more popular work is the "anime"-esque stuff, which I personally don't bother with most of the time. So, when there's new stuff, you might expect more western-style art if it's not a commission.

So, there's some news to mull over until I update next, at which time you can expect another look into the community and some spotlights on artists I'm presently digging.

Ciao.

U.S. Is Pressing Google for Data on Searches

By KATIE HAFNER and MATT RICHTEL
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 19 - The Justice Department has asked a federal judge to compel Google, the Internet search giant, to turn over records on millions of its users' search queries as part of the government's effort to uphold an online pornography law.

Google has been refusing the request since a subpoena was first issued last August, even as three of its competitors agreed to provide information, according to court documents made public this week. Google asserts that the request is unnecessary, overly broad, would be onerous to comply with, would jeopardize its trade secrets and could expose identifying information about its users.

The dispute with Google comes as the government is moving aggressively on several fronts to obtain data on Internet activity to achieve its law enforcement goals, from domestic security to the prosecution of online crime. Under the antiterrorism law known as the USA Patriot Act, for example, the Justice Department has demanded records on library patrons' Internet use.

Those efforts have encountered resistance on privacy grounds.

The government's move in the Google case, however, is different in its aims. Rather than seeking data on individuals, it says it is trying to establish a profile of Internet use that will help it defend the Child Online Protection Act, a 1998 law that would impose tough criminal penalties on individuals whose Web sites carried material deemed harmful to minors.

The law has faced repeated legal challenges. Two years ago, the Supreme Court upheld an injunction blocking its enforcement, returning the case to a district court for further examination of Internet-filtering technology that might be an alternative in achieving the law's aims.

The government's motion to compel Google's compliance was filed on Wednesday in Federal District Court in San Jose, Calif., near Google's headquarters in Mountain View. The subpoena and the government's motion were reported on Thursday by The San Jose Mercury News.

In addition to records of a week of search queries, which could amount to billions of search terms, the Google subpoena seeks a random list of a million Web addresses in its index.

Charles Miller, a spokesman for the Justice Department, said on Thursday that three Google competitors in Internet search technology - America Online, Yahoo and MSN, Microsoft's online service - had complied with subpoenas in the case.

Mr. Miller declined to say exactly how the data would be used, but according to the government's filings, it would help estimate the prevalence of material that could be deemed harmful to minors and the effectiveness of filtering software. Opponents of the pornography law contend that filtering software could protect minors effectively enough to make the law unnecessary.

The government's motion calls for Google to surrender the information within 21 days of court approval.

Although the government has modified its demands since last year, Google said Thursday that it would continue to fight. "Google is not a party to this lawsuit, and their demand for information overreaches," said Nicole Wong, Google's associate general counsel, referring to government lawyers. "We intend to resist their motion vigorously."

Philip B. Stark, a statistics professor at the University of California, Berkeley, who was hired by the Justice Department to analyze search engine data in the case, said in legal documents that search engine data provided crucial insight into information on the Internet.

"Google is one of the most popular search engines," he wrote in a court document related to the case. Thus, he said, Google's databases of Web addresses and user searches "are directly relevant."

But Danny Sullivan, editor of SearchEngineWatch, an online industry newsletter, questioned the need for a subpoena. "Is this really something the government needs Google to help them with?" he said.

As for Google's rivals, MSN declined to speak directly to the case but released a statement saying it generally "works closely with law enforcement officials."

Mary Osako, a Yahoo spokeswoman, said the company complied with the subpoena "on a limited basis." And Andrew Weinstein, a spokesman for AOL, said that company gave the Justice Department a generic list of anonymous search terms from a one-day period.

Susan P. Crawford, a professor at the Cardozo School of Law in New York, said she could understand why the companies complied. "There's this real perception that if you're not with us you're against us," she said. "So the major companies will cooperate with enormously burdensome requests just to avoid future vengeance being wreaked on them" by the Justice Department.

Of not knowing what to draw.

And if ANYONE says:

"Draw what you like!"
"Follow your heart!"
"Let the mystical Eye of Agamotto guide you!"
"Sailor Saturn!"

Or ANY combination/variation of those, they are getting SHANKED!

Anyhow, my non-fa art has actually been going swimmingly. So, yay for that.

As usual... any helpful inspiration is appreciated. My mind is just... elsewhere.

===Deviant Feature===

I've come upon a couple pretty interesting deviants since the last feature; but these two in particular should be noted for you expansion fans, mostly of the FA-variety.

- *RamStar is a wonderuflly talented individual, with a variety of works highlighting the many beautiful ways the female form manifests itself. Not strictly FA, but he has more than a few images that any fan of curvy-women should DEFINITELY check out. His style doesn't fall into one specific category, and that unique quality makes his art even MORE engaging!

Some images of note: [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]

Another happy find of mine was actually an old favorite, who's apparent appreciation of VG cats only FURTHER cemented my fondness of him.

- ~danellz is something of an old staple of Furry FA-art, for me at least. I remember seeing his stuff over at Roundhouse and absolutely loving the look of it. His older, almost Oekaki-like, style captured the curves and roundness that makes larger women appealing. He has that distinct manner of portraying the full-female form that recalls the older online greats, particularly Studio FA and Rainer Siefert. I would again encourage you to check his full gallery out, it's got some GREAT stuff.

Edit 1:
I strongly recommend to everyone to turn on "Scraps" notifications in your watchlist. There's been more than a few occassions I've checked scraps on a whim and found some of my favorite pieces. It'll aso help you to keep track of when I update my junk.

Edit 2:
Hey dummies, why the hell aren't you watching , huh? His stuff's dad could totally beat up your stuff's dad. That is all.

Edit 3:
Recent discovery (no thanks to you guys), is making some AMAZING deviations. Everyone should give his page a look, and then a watch.

Hey everyone. I ocassionally have a feature here where I mention to you some of the talent on DA I've taken note of recently. Well, in this entry I'd like to hear from you guys about deviants you think I should be watching. I'll provide a full list of deviants I'm watching below, both for you to browse and see if you like them, and also so you can check that I'm not already watching the deviant you want to mention to me. It's easier than it sounds, as the list is in alphabetical order. Just check the letter of the deviant you were reccomending.

Admittedly, of late it takes a bit more for me to have enough interest in producing more works for this account. It can all just get a little dull after a bit, and things can seem repetitive.

I tried to freshen things up with the Trainer Suit series, but the response seemed a little underwhelming to that, and I think I would've been hard-pressed to explore the concept for new ideas much longer. I may get back to them eventually, though, if anyone really cared for the series.

So on that note, I was sort of curious. What do people look for in my art? Is there anything in particular that sets it aside from another FA/Expansion artist? Heck, maybe you even preferred the images where I moreso focused on just breat expansion. And the style of art? I have a fondness for "western" styled art, but there seems to be a proclivity for people to enjoy "anime" styled art.

So what is it folks? Do you prefer me working on established characters? From Games or comics? New characters?

I'm curious what people enjoy seeing from me, and what people think would be new and interesting avenues to try out. I'm not asking for requests, I don't want people saying they're dying to see Sailor Mars in a girdle with a fat bottom... (actually, that sounds nice), but I want people to tell me what they like, and what they would LIKE to see. Something new to breathe some fresh air in.

Amazing.

In the past couple of months I've been witness to an emergence of a new community of Fat Admiration and Big Beautiful Women here on Deviant Art.

There is, of course, a certain lack of cohesion between the previously existing, highly fetishized movement of FA-ism married closely to WG enthusiasts, and the exploration primarily of the "anime" art form; and this new community.

There is a credibility, and maturity on the part of these emerging Deviants. They hold their stock because they characterize the singular common point of interest in the FA-circles; they ARE BBWs. Beyond this, they are all amazingly talented, and intelligent women, who aren't content being used as objects, but also forge their own artist voice here on Deviant Art.

A centerpoint of this emerging group of deviants is the new community:

Whereat you can further your knowledge and understanding of those who are actually partaking in a movement.

That aside, within these ranks, I've taken note of just a few talents that struck me that I encourage everyone to visit, should they be reading this at the moment.

~ *SeductiveByatch is primarily a model, and a great one at that, but also has an impressive array of photographic portraits.

~ ~Principessa1968 is also mostly a model who has some of the most provocative and compositionally pleasing images to be found on DA.

~ *boxedphotos is both a GORGEOUS model, and an accomplished Digital photographer with a variety of works.

~ *ohfatty is anotehr accomplished and intelligent photographer with great conceptual photos and beauty to boot.

-
I'd also like to take some time to point out a deviant that a lot of people are probably pretty familiar with already, but who has emerged as an excellent liason between what could be called the previously existing BBW Admiring community and this emerging group.

His thoughtful journals, and careful catalogues show my exercises in that playground to be as novice as you'd figure!

So a special spotlight is given to:

~ ~MrBeam is one of the greatest mouthpieces for the community as it stands, and everyone would do well to keep an ear out for when he's talking about something. He covers a LOT more ground than I do, typically.

If you get 66,000 pageviews on my page, take a screenshot, we'll work something out.

Hello all and welcome to the first of my interviews with members of our corner of the art world. We spend a lot of time looking at the works of some of our favorite artists, most of the time without getting the opportunity to raelly learn too much about them in the process.

Having a fair number of friends, I figured I was in a decent position to try and track down some of these artists and let them get a word in edgewise.

I'm still pretty new at this, and there's a couple things I didn't remember to cover, but we've all got to start someplace.

So, to start I decided to sit down with ~xyxtlin, one fo the most well-regarded and well-known artists in the WG/FA circle at present.

So, without further ado, the first Kawaii Interview.

=========================================
Kawaiidebu recently sat down with Xyxtlin to get his thoughts on
the current FA community, creating art, and his future
aspirations.
=========================================

Kawaiidebu (KD): Kon Ban Wa!

Xyxtlin (X): Konbanwa Kawaiidebu-san

X: Ogenki desu ka?

KD: Hai, genki desu. And YOU? (He said, having spent all the Japanese he knows)

[A short silence]

KD: Say, you available to tackle that interview at the moment?

[Another short silence]

KD: Or are you as busy as this delay in response would suggest?

X: Oh, sorry. I was brushing my teeth

KD: Heh, no problem!

X: Ah, so... Interview, eh?

KD: If you've got a spare moment or so.

X: Sure, I can answer a few questions.

KD: Great! Then, to begin...

What was the site you first got involved with the online WG-art scene, and how did it occur?

X: Do you mean what was the first one I saw, or which one got me drawing?

KD: That you contributed to, I suppose.

X: Well, I had been hanging around various places for quite a while... Dimensions, Wren Spot, Frosty's old site [Stuffed! Online], Jessica's [Anime Expansion Realm]... but the first one I posted to was that first Animeplumpers Yahoo! Group.

KD: So what got you drawing?

X: Hmm... Probably getting a scanner.

I had been thinking about drawing for quite a while. Ever since I had started hanging around really... it was pretty obvious that anime style girls were pretty scarce. Once Oji appeared on the scene though, and a few others that followed, I felt like I needed to put something into the mix.

KD: I hear ya. Around that time there were a lot less contributors to the scene. I know that's what had initially inspired me to contribute what I can. Does the community feel different now that it seems to have grown in size?

X: Hmm, a bit different. It certainly feels much younger, for sure. A lot of new faces, and I feel the maturity level has dropped a bit. [It's] probably good in the long run, though. People do get older, and I'm sure that the level of civility will improve with time.

KD: Do you ever hear from any of the old crowd? Those friendships seemed a lot closer than some of current community, maybe only because there was so many less people.

X: Sometimes. I used to hear from some of those individuals a bit more in the past than I do now. Some are still around though. I won't name who for their privacy.

KD: Of course.

X: Let's just say that some people wanted out of the spotlight, but still want to chat with people who they know from the "old days" Given that said "old days" are still inside this decade.

KD: Ah, yeah, I forget sometimes. I recall you really got active about three years ago, right?

X: Oh, you mean that summer when I was just doing sketches?

KD: Aye, when the people who frequented Animeplumpers might be able to expect a few sketches a week from you.

X: Yeah, well, I wasn't working back then. And I had more time, less skill, and no CG overhead. I used to be able to put out 5 sketches on a good day. Though, to look at those now, its not hard to understand why... I never used to have rough drafts... I just sort of went at it.

KD: Three years can do a lot to change a person's daily life.

X: Yeah, no kidding! 45+ hours a week can really eat into the drawing time.

KD: And school...

X: Well, I was still doing some of that...

Up-And-Coming Fetish Artists

As a somewhat dated and boring old fogey, I figure there's maybe a little precident in me taking some time out to take a look at artists within the so-called "Community".

Now, I may be a bit outside of the loop, here, so I imagine there's a great number of you who are already cognizant of these folks, if not already a member of their fanbase.

Anyway, in taking the time to look about the various galleries, these folks caught my eye in particular.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

- ~Sybaria appears to be a pretty new contributor to the Fetish art community here on DA. Nonetheless, she shows a level of polish and technique that rivals some of the much touted mainstays of the community.
Her debut deviation [link] strikes me as the most technically impressive piece of her gallery, but as I was never sure I really surpassed the quality of one of my earliest pieces, a strong start is something I can sort of commiserrate on. In any case, she's already putting together an impressive gallery, and her zeal and ability lead me to believe we can expect a lot more from this talented deviant. I heartily reccomend using that 'Watch Deviant' button.

- If you want to get my attention, do a piece based on the Rockman DASH incarnation of Roll. Well, that's what ~bootsynekomata did here [link] . While his use of anime style may not be anything new to the FA-art community, the composition and choice of poses/situations is a bit more expirimental than your standard fare. Already he's created several very memorable deviations. Though I encourage a refining of some anatomical details, his art still shines and shows a lot of promise for the future. Some of his earlier color work shows what he's really capable of, and I hope that we can see more of this level of art from him in the future. consider him another deviant I reccommend you keep an eye on.

- ~DoWhatNow can't really be considered too new of an artist, having been a DA poster since October of last year. But since returning from a self-imposed sabbatical, I've found his technique to have improved greatly, if not in a somewhat subtle manner. With tighter linework and increasingly interesting composition, he's giving creedence to the employ of anime style, without being another carbon copy anime WG artist. His latest wo deviations in particular strike me as a sign of growth as an artist, and I hope that he continues to do so in the continuing weeks.
- *iamragmar's work is intelligent and unique fetish work, combined with smart and emotional introspection about being a breast fetishist. Add also, there's big boobs on his page too boot.

- *liquidxlead would be easy to simply call the king of cameltoe on DA, but there's a sublime and brilliant quality to his choice of pose and of course to his embellishment of the bodies involved in his art. More than just a fetish artist, *liquidxlead is an artist who's got the chops and fortunately for us has a keen an interest in the female form as he does talent.
You know what? Forget that.

They just need a button where you can favorite all of *In-Sane-O's deviations at once.

Yes, well, anyway....

A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!

For those interested, for those not, well... not so major.

After saying to myself, "Self, you've got a wonderful relationship, a relatively successful scam of selling non-fetish artworks, less interest in the online fetish community, and less and less time to dedicate to your drrrty pictures... why not quit?" I've done a bit of thinking on the subject.

I'd like to end on a high note, go out with a bang. Now, setting myself up like this could very well make for a whole bunch of underwhelmed people upon the final result... BUT, I've come to a conclusion that I'm going to stick to.

I'm going to finish my Prize Illustration for the Superheroine contest, and then, retire from posting art on DA.

Big whoop, right? I was supposed to do it anyway?

Well, yeah, I know. But now you know it's my last piece.

So, to all winners of the contest still present, please respond here on this very journal entry stating the fact you're still around. I believe I'm going to use all of the characters in any case, I just want to know who's still around and active for piece of mind.

ALSO!

For winners of the contest, I realize it's been a while since the contest was held and there's the chance you have grown as an artist and would be rightfully mortified if I decided to use the design you made over a year ago.

With that in mind, all winners are free to provide a new set of reference images for me to use in the final pic.

If you have any more questions I'm going to be on AIM for the next hour, or you can leave them here, OR use the note system.

Thanks all,
His work and shades of Robert Crumb's struggle with self and apparent depravity never cease to bring me the utmost joy in considering. He offers some levity to what's pidgeon-holed as the "fetish" community on here.

*liquidxlead's Falcoon influenced style appeals immediately to my aesthetic-sense. I like soft flowing curves and deliciously ripened figures abound with a hot gleam of sweat and sexuality. His singular artistic style adopts everything of anime I enjoy and tosses out everything of anime I deplore. In a site awash of carbon copy anime stylings, he offers me a breath of succulent fresh air with gorgeous women to boot.

With ~In-Sane-O's ear for satire, eye for pop-culture references, and mind in the gutter, this deviant engages the critical necessities of keeping "fetish" art entertaining. Tongue planted firmly in cheek, he's never afraid to publicly display those dirty little Hanna-Barbera fantasies you've always felt guilty about the next morning.

Ahem, but I digress!

My point in this post is I've been drained for ideas.

Aside from the things I work on that don't usually get bled into here, mostly Quark knows what I mean, I've been seriously lacking the thought process that goes into the set-ups for these pics.

I'd like to do some good pieces, with interesting set-ups, and I'd like to take them the full way, as in shading, and probably color as well...

So, if you've got something you'd like to see me draw, mention it here. This isn't me taking requests, this is me wanting some ideas, so I'm not going to automatically do everything emntioend here. Hit me with what you've got, and if I like it, you'll probably see it soon.
==Grand Prize Winners!===
===Official Runner-ups!===
Tsunami Songstress, by Webmycury
Siren, by Agent Oji
Aira Eversing, by RamzCG

---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ---

Now, an explanation of what you suckas can expect now:

The Grand Prize Winners will recieve a fully colored Group image of all Grand Prize Winners. This will be the first image to be posted, followed by Runner-Up images as I finish them thereafter. As a bonus, if I'm so inclined (<-- Check that fine print, hookers!), I may (MAY) do stand-alone images of each Grand Prize Winner; these would be completed after the Runner-Up images.

For Runner-Ups, which is composed of every entrant that was not a Grand Prize Winner, their entry will be included in one of three B&W group images of Runner-Ups. The first Runner-Up image to be posted will consist of the Official RUnner-Ups, with the other two to follow as completed.

So now you know.

Now that you know what to expect, don't bug me about getting it done or I shall hire a goomba to bite your ass. Have fun, and keep an eye out for my bew Heroine... coming... whenever...

Where's the love gone?

Anyway, I went on a trip for a cultural anthropology class to Mexico (pretty place, that is), and went to check out some ruins. The ruins were SUPER-impressive, however I apparently was not taking proper care of the old corpus, and a revolt was had upon my ass.

So, after two days in Mexico, I was sent to a hospital for dehydrations and exhaustion, where I stayed for around three days total.

So that was a lot of fun.

I'll be back posting stuff when I think I want to. I know people are waiting on things, but I'd gotten to the point where I felt people where just interested in just seeing some random fatgirl art, and if I wasn't producing I could be forgotten just as easy. And just drawing the same thing with minor changes gets very old very fast.

I'm not really feeling the community on here, there's some exceptions, but overall I feel a serious alck of commaraderie. I'll need to take some time to evaluate how I'd like to continue.
Poor, poor, packmules.

Anyway, it occurred to me I had three perfectly good pieces of lineart I could submit here that I'd been sitting on for various reasons. But due to the fact that for two of them I'm not sure when I'll be able to finish coloring I'm thinking I'll update them later.

When I was working on the Halen Versus Enorma pic, something about it really stood out to me. Looking back I can tell it was the composition, the incorporation of action, and the utilization of multiple characters. These various compositional techniques are what I've been learning lately, and I feel they've helped my art out TREMENDOUSLY. I'll hopefully have some new stuff for you guys during the break, stuff that will hopefully show some growth on my part.
I'm still trying to put together a page for the contest (Who's deadline approaches steadily), and considering time constraints, I'll probably not have it quite as glorious as I'd intended... or maybe I will. Play it by ear, you know?

Anyway when that gets up I'll post the link here.

I forgot what else I was going to say... Someone buy me the Coheed and Camrbina CD. If you do I'll draw twenty requests for you. That's an empty promise, by the way...

-- KAWAIIDEBU'S FIRST EVER SUPERTEAM CASTING CALL --

-----
So now, the Intro:
-----

It's the year 2004, the year the future was set in, and as such, our world is in need of a BOLD NEW Super-team for this BOLD NEW era, and such...

So, our resident Heroine in perpetual training; Halen, is putting out a call to arms, so to speak. She's founding a new Super-team, to act as representatives of this new era, more representative of the whole of female society.

Basically, a group of chubby super-chicks!

-----
And now, the rules:
-----

What I'm looking for, is one full-body sketch of an ORIGINAL (made by you) chubby female Superheroine. Your definition of chubby is up to you.

I need to see a full costume design (Icluding colors, or a color guide), and only female characters please. I'm very sexist.

I'll accept Anthro characters as well, but I'd prefer the character be made specifically for THIS contest. As much as we all love Lizah and Jumba...

In addition to the character sketch, I'd like to see a history written up, nothing award winning necessarily, and a definition of their powers and personalities.

I'll pick the winner, and runner ups, I'll be making my decisions primarily on personality and costume design; maybe something to keep in mind...

I'll accept more than one submission from a person, but I'll only choose ONE CHARACTER per entrant.

-----
And NOW, the awards:
-----

I'll be choosing FIVE first place winners who will:

1. Have their character included in a group pic of the new team by me.

2. Have their character drawn alone by me.

I'll be choosing THREE Runner-ups who will have their characters drawn in a group pic with the other Runner-Ups.

---------------------

Since this is sort of an undertaking, I'll have this contest open until FEBRUARY 16, 2004. After that I won't accept submissions.

Also... if you can think of the Name for the Group, I may offer a prize for THAT too...

If you've got any other questions, feel free to email me me:

Anyway, I drew a new picture of Rikku, that'll show up as my featured Deviation, since the most recent deviation seems on the bonk. So take a gander when you get the chance, and when Deviant decides its no longer Terarded.

Anyway, I know there's been some trouble with DA, so be sure to notify me when you've uploaded your submission, if the Note system isn't working here, contact me in my e-mail. Just because you've posted something doesn't mean I've seen it, and if I don't see it, there's no way it can be in the contest.
That in mind, be sure to send me your links and bios for your submissions, remember you can always reach me at grey_renoboam@yahoo.com if you can't catch me here or on AIM.

Just busy.

Hello to everyone! Just letting you gusy know I'm NOT dead, but Drawing I at the University has tapped all of my creative time and ability. It's been a real learning experience already, and there's quite a bit I'd like to try and incoprorate into my art, problem being, I have VERY little time for things not related to the class. In addition to this, I'm trying to publish an indie-zine with a friends, also tapping my art skills. So I'm all sorts of pressed for time.

I appreaciate all the nice thoughts and gifts I've gotten while hibernating, I'm still around, don't mistake that. I want to take a moment to thanks age, yoshi, and Oji. If I forgot something don't hold it against me, por favor.

Murdelli, Nick, I'm trying to fionish the trades, please offer me a little patience, I' apologize profusely in teh maen time.

Kaze, I've been missing the opportunity to chat with ya, so I'm taking this space to say "Hola, comrade!"

Anyway, I really mean to find some spare time ASAP and get something up soon. Thanks again.

Well, I normally wouldn't bother taking the time to actually make a point of saying it, however, since I know there's two people waiting for stuff from me, I'll go ahead.

I'm going to be taking a short hiatus from posting. I'm going to be working on a number of things in the mean time, some related to here, some not. But between school, and me trying to work on certain other art things, I'm just not going to have time for a bit.

I may post a few odd bits of art, I definitely mean to get up and 's respective art pieces soon.

But I'm going to be away for a bit, in terms of art. Just a little FYI.

Hmm... I wonder what that title is all about... So many people to thank... I'd try and do the Icon listing thingy, but I'm afraid I'd forget SOMEONE, and I want to be sure I'm thanking ALL of you.

THis has been a tremendous month, really. From my start of posting pics again, to me really feeling I've gotten back into my groove. I really want to thank all of you for the overwhelmingly positve feedback i've gotten, it means a lot to me coming from all the tremendous talent out there.

I've been shocked to get so many pageviews so very quickly. Hopefully I can keep improving my art, and keep posting things you guys like. I don't like listing the things I'm doing, because it can lead to people saying something three weeks from now that goes something like:

"Hey, weren't you going to do that pic of *Blank*"

,And then me going:

"Who the hell is Blank?"

But I do have some things I'm working on, getting back to my lovely Halen, and then trying to create new original characters.

First up is two versions of 80's Halen, one in her mock Guy Gardner Tribute, the other her slightly tweaked 80's version. I like big eighties hair, don't you?

Beyond that I'm desperately trying to brainstorm for new ideas, fresh ideas, new characters, and the tempting prospect of further collaborations...

Again, thanks to all of you. You don't know how happy I am to be part of this community.

Happy New Year!

I've decided I'm going to upload my older pics from RNG's great Yahoo Group, and I've got a few other things in the works too. i may just try and cook up something special for 1,000 pageviews. If the person who gets it wants to do that entire screencap thingy, that'd be cool.
