God I hit a pregant woman with two kids in the back seat... The situation could be a lot worse for me... my car could be totaled, which it isn't... I can still drive it and it isn't leaking anything... my dad can fix it for me for pretty much nothing... Although I really cant drive it around now... I'll have to have my dad fix it before I can drive around the town again... Someone could have died... although I'm worried for her baby... if she miscarries at all she could so blame it all on me because I was the unlucky sucker who got caught up in the middle of all of this... I'm just so scared what this could all mean for me long term... my insurance will go up ... again... This is the third rear-ender I've been in since I started driving and I'm a good driver... it's just who ever's last in line gets the big fine...

He is more of a slinky than a kitty and was quickly deemed the nickname of "flopsy." He loves to climb up onto shoulders and loves to jump. He purrs like a machine for hours and hours and cries when we're not in sight. (I hope he grows out that one quick!) Still working on the whole potty training gig, so he's been confined to the bathroom which makes him terribly sad.

Within two hours, there were over 20 different comments on my SCRAP and 5 different favs. The comments were from horrified and outraged Zutara fans. I wish I had saved them, because I lost them all when dA deleted my screen shot. Some were just priceless. One person said that I was an asshole for rubbing it everyone's faces. (Obviously, since it was a scrap, something you don't just run across when doing a random search on dA.) Another person went off on me, a complete stranger, how although we won the "war" he still believed that Zuko and Katara were ment to be married forever. Another person asked me to change the name of my SCRAP because she kept finding it in her search for Zuko and Katara fanfics.

It blew my mind how retarded these people were. Why bother me? Why leave comments? One person said "Well we can tell that the Kataangers are handling this maturely" ... ... ... Yes by posting a scrap to link to my journal cause I'm too cheep to pay for dA, obviously it is a message I want, nay, NEED to convey to the Zutara fans out there that they were wrong and we were right.

I began to think more on this phenomenon. Why had it bothered them so much, and why were these people so adamant that Zuko and Katara were going to end up together despite 3 seasons, 60 eposides, 300 hours, 1800 minutes of character interaction and development between Katara and Aang.

My theory is that Zutara fans are simple minded creatures. Having no real relationships of their own, they go off of what makes the most sense and what our culture deems as correct. Fire and Water are opposites and opposites attract (and make fun duality for poorly drawn fanart and fanfics! ) Forget things like character interaction and development... bah! That's for the birds! Our culture tells us that it's weird for men to be with older women so Aang couldn't possibly be with Katara because of their obvious 4 year difference. That, my friends, would be FAR too WEIRD!

The whole Zutara "Ship" is just lead by hopeless romantic 16 year olds who lust after things that they would want for themselves. Oh Zuko! He's so dark and mysterious! If you all can, try and remember back a long time ago when you were 16 years old (and a girl) and try and recall that guy you had a crush on. I know I (being the retarded, anime junkie 16 year old I was) had a crush on that dark mysterious guy who wouldn't talk much in the back row. He was just like (omg!) sooo cute! I just like... wanna know all his secrets! This is why they're all so fucking annoying and make no sense at all. But just as I was once young and stupid, these things shall pass for these young girls and (hopefully) they'll look back at all of this and laugh at themselves for being so weird over a cartoon show.

Before my scrap was deleted for copyright infringements, I had had 20 favs on a screen shot. This stupid scrap had more attention, favs and comments than any of the stuff I actually spend time on. Ahh, tis the bane of all actual artists here on dA, right?

I could leave this review just as that and it would cover most of what I'm about to talk about... but I never liked making things easy for myself.

First let us begin on the half of this movie that you should watch...
When I first saw the trailers for Hancock I laughed at the idea of a disgruntled, alcoholic, asshole of a Superman type character. The first half is mostly just that and then later a disgruntled, alcoholic, asshole Superman trying to be nice. Will Smith has really been impressing me with his most resent films and Hancock didn't let me down. He only really knows how to play himself... this is Will Smith being an asshole, this is Will Smith being a crazy doctor trying to save the world from vampire zombies! Anyway, lots of laughs from the first half.

My theory: The writers finished the first half of the movie and then went out to the pub to celebrate. Tad's retarded cousin broke out of his cage and took it upon himself to write the second half of the movie. The writers came back to see their movie had been destroyed by Brad and that he had taken the liberty to send the final draft to the director!

This is the only possible answer. If you go and see this movie, or have already seen it, you will know when Brad hooked his speaking computer to Tad's old compaq.


It's right after the dinner scene. So if you go and see this movie, you might want to go, leave the theater and have dinner yourself, other wise you'll be dry heaving through the rest of this shit pile.

Is it just me, or is every new leading female role in recent Hollywood blockbusters look fairly familiar to you? Blond, straight hair... anorexia skinny... same stupid porn star, I mean "dramatic" deer in headlights neutral face... too fashionable for her own good.... always has good makeup even if the world is coming to an end...

Yeah, guess what? She's got superhero powers too... her name's ANGEL. She and Hancock are ANGELS or something... not really explained... they're pretty much as old as time... they were married until THEY (same verbage that was used in the movie, unexplained) tried to attack them (after a movie and dinner date) but Hancock SAVED her receiving a really bad blow to the head causing his to loose his memory. They become mortal when they're near each other... So instead of a rock being Superman's weakness a skinny, ugly girl is. Why couldn't she had been black? With a fro? gaaaahhhhh.....

The ending is so bad I can't even... describe it to you via typing without wanting to hurl all over the place...

All in all it was a real let down. The first half was really awesome and if they had kept up with Hancock having troubles being "good" up until the very end you would have had a much better movie than this stupid ducked taped together "story" that really shouldn't have even tried to explain what was going on.

I'm done... this movie kills me with the stupid... Just make sure to leave early, you'll thank me later for it!

For those of you out there who didn't know, Osamu Tezuka published a series of manga about the life of the Buddha running from 1972 - 1983. 11 years he worked on this beautiful 14 volume series. It wasn't so much dumbing down the story of the Buddha, it was making a rather hard to read story easier available to the masses. [link])
I bring this up only to mention the shear stupidity of "The Manga Bible."

"The Manga Bible" isn't reaching out and celebrating the life of Jesus. MANGA IS IN THE FUCKING TITLE. This was made to BANK ON THE MANGA FANS. Or the moms who don't know any better.

Imagine with me, if you can, a Christian mother walking through the isles of her local discount Christian supply store. She's looking for the right bible to give to Timmy for his 17th birthday. He's been reading a lot of of those weird main-gah books lately and she's concerned for his eternal soul. He could be getting into that... WITCHCRAFT!!! So she continues her search and out of the corner of her eye she sees something a little bit too colorful for the muted pastel themed store. Lo, she has found "The Manga Bible." How perfect, Timmy will just love it! And maybe he'll start going to church again instead of hanging out with those kids who dress up like anime characters or depressed little girls...

I'm moving out May 14th (probably the weekend of) to Kent with my handsome partner in crime So I've been going through 20 years + accumulated crap and throwing out what I dont need and packing the rest.

Spring has kind of sprung her in the pacific northwest, so my boss decided to order every plant to deliver for the nice weekend this weekend and I get to unload, price, and clean 500+ plants by my lonesome. There are worse things, I dont mind. I like getting in all the plants, I'm just getting beat. I love hauling huge trees around all day long!

My witch group (Witches of the Emerald Forest) is putting on a handfasting (pagan marriage) during this years Beltaine and I was asked to help be apart of the ritual. I couldnt say no, I really really really wanted to help out and be a part of it, but more of my precious free time on my weekends has now officially gone to helping with the rit until the day of.

Long story short. No new arts. Not until probably a month or so when I'm all settled into my new place and feeling like drawing.

What was our childhood about. Think of 7 facts such as heroes, future perspective, shows or embarrassing facts. Let's see how good your friends know you.

1. When I was in Jr. High I used to wear my hair in Sailor Moon odangos like every day. My mom had to take me this business open house (or something) when she was working at the Museum of Flight and I insisted in wearing my hair like that. Her friends said to my face that hopefully I'd grow out of it soon. That was the last day I wore them. Isn't public embarrassment a great way to change your children's bad habits?

2. When I was a little girl I used to think that the rain was Jesus' tears and that I had done something to cause him to cry. I also talked, sang songs and shard my snacks with the trees in my back yard.

3. I couldn't talk until I was 2 (which is really late for kids, for those who dont know) and when I did start talking I spoke in my own language. My parents called it Stephie language and only my little sister could understand what I was saying and would translate for me. I still have diffucaility with English (it wasn't my first language!!!)

4. When I was in the 3rd grade I had a really bad bladder control problem and would accidentally pee myself. I have a very vivid memory of holding the door open for all the kids in my class on our way to music and I had accidentally peed myself. Everyone saw. And it was my birthday. After the last person left the classroom I ran into the bathroom and cried while trying to clean myself up. My teacher Mrs. Griffy was totally awesome. She felt really bad for, so she set up a schedule for me to go to the bathroom a few times a day so it wouldnt happen again, and it didn't.

5. I used to pick my nose a lot as a small child and would leave my boogies pretty much everywhere. My mom was so pissed when guests came over and they'd find little green treasures on the arms of all of the chairs.

6. When i was in Jr. High I used to print off millions of sailor moon pictures from my parents computer, laminate them with this sticky plastic clear stuff (my dad used to sell this stuff, so we had a lot of extras) and put them in catageories of sailor scout, group, inner/ outer senshi, etc. and cover my walls with them. I dont know why I laminated them... I guess I had to protect them or something... I have no idea.

7. I used to think that when I would go into a different town I would would become a different person so I would act differently every time I would see a "Welcome to cake town" sign. I thought my parents would think I was so smart for figuring that out, but they just told me to be quiet.

The members of TPWTTSNKPP, and myself feel that Gabriel Gray, Sylar, should just kill Peter Petrelli already. Since it is quite aparent that no one has the ability to kill Mr. Gray, despite being gutted by a katana and having no regeneration abilities, our organization's solution to the Sylar situation is to give him what he wants... power. We here at TPWTTSNKPP believe that once he held the power to take other's powers just over a cup of coffee rather than ripping their brains out, that the need and desire to kill will no longer be present in Mr. Grey. We also believe that although power is desire, wold domination is not. It seems like far too much work than it worth when it seems that Sylar would prefer to just do what ever the fuck he wants to. No, we feel that once the power-trip was over and done with that Mr. Grey would want to partake in other activities to gain attention for being "special." The following are some of the activities our organization feels that Mr. Grey would do instead of killing for powers.
1) Joining the Peace Core
2) Find the cure for cancer
3) Donate healing blood and platelets once a month
4) Start a family
5) Go back in time and take the bullet for Martin Luther King Jr.

As you can clearly see, if Mr. Grey was simply given what he desires, the benefits out weigh Peter keeping his life. He's kind of a winy, emo, jerk off anyway. Nathan was willing to give his life for his brother, Peter should do the same for the rest of the world by letting Mr. Grey remove his brain so he can figure out his power. Sylar is the true hero here once given the chance to do so without killing.

So the whole online gaming thing kind of flopped... for those who were interested maybe we can all get together one of these days... maybe make it once a month or something and do some fun stuff then...

Okay an update... right...

My car got broken into... and they tried to take my CD player, but my car was too mighty! So they just fucked up the front of my dash with a crowbar... Dang... The night it happened I had to go and meet my client to talk more about her garden design I'm currently working on, so I didn't have time to sit in my car and report what happened to 911, I made the report while on 409. (the freeway...) The lady on the phone asks me the licence plate number on my car which I didnt know. She tells me that she cant make a report unless she has that information, so I pull over, jump out of my car leaving my phone on the seat (I didnt want her knowing I was on the freeway), get the number only to realize I had locked myself out of my car. I was so angry at myself I screamed like a crazy person. Thankfully as I was walking on the side of the highway a guy pulled over and let me use his cellphone to call my dad. Thankfully he got there no problems, unlocked my car and I zoomed off to meet my client. But as I was on my way I called her (I had missed 3 calls from her while I had locked myself out of my car (while I was talking to 911!) and she needed to tell me that she coudlnt make it because her drive way was covered in ice. :< So I went home to find out that the operaterator who I had been talking with on 911 had called the house and was very worried for me because on her line all she had heard was me open the door close it and then me screaming. She thought I had gotten hit and she had no idea where I was. Thankfully though when she called my house my parents informed her that I was fine, retarded, but fine.

CRAZY!

Ua... I still go to school on Fridays for landscape design...

I still work full time at GrassRoots in B-town...

I still live with my folks, but probably will be moving out this May with my partner in crime Daniel...

Tomorrow I'd like to try and do a test run of the Freeform Online Game that I hope we can keep going every week on Mondays. I'll try and get everything set up around 7ish and have the chat open for people to come and go as they please until maybe around 11-12. So don't worry if you cant be there until 9 or later because hopefully we'll all still be rping. HOPEFULLY. I completely understand if those of you who would like to join cant make it to the test run, it is a week before present holiday and most people are crazy busy. LOL, I haven't even started my shopping really. I'll do it later... I'm good at putting things off!

So to make things easy since I am posting this kind of at the last second, I'll make the theme and situation a fairly easy one to RP. I had a couple of ideas and realistically I would like to have people vote on which game everyone would like to play, but since Monday is like in an hour, if I dont get very many votes I'll just stick with option A. (Cause I'd like of like to save Option B for a night when I know a lot of people will play, but it's not like we cant play in that world/ situation again.)

Option A:
Ye Olde High School. Yes, hormone high, emotional train wreck, Prozac drunk High School students. That all just so happen to have one thing in common.... LARPING!!! (btw, real friends dont let friends LARP.) The game will take place after school on a Spring day close to the end of the school year at gaming club which is short for an excuse to LARP on the school campus for free. Let inspiration settle and get ready to ORPGLARP!!!!

Option B:
Super Villainy Support! Ever had plans for world domination deflate before you were even able to demonstrate the true power of your newest deadliest device? Have you ever been hospitalized just after you were able to obtain the Holy book needed to raise an 800' Hannuman of super hero destruction? If this sounds like you, please join us at the Gotham Community Center (Room 6) for this months' Super Villainy support social. The topic of this discussion, "Secret Liars and how to Keep them that way!" Free coffee and doughnuts!!

Actually I'd like of like to play option B a bit more... but I'll let you all decide. If I don't have a clear answer before the game I'll make a decision.

One last thing to clear for technicalities, since this is free form let it be said that all things in (parenthesis) are out of character comments. Let it also be so that all things in "quotations" be things that your character is saying. And let all things that a simply written be actions or other descriptive things your character is doing. Also I would like everyone to choose a different color of font when they enter the chat room so we can all clearly tell who is who. Either that or a different type of no larger than size 16 font. I am claiming green for myself and fire engine red for game support issues.

Remember, I am not running this game. I am simply setting it up and we are all helping running it. I dont want to ST/GM/DM I just wanna game. After I help set it up, it's all of us who are going to change the game anyway and because it's just for fun it doesn't matter.

So, where to start...

~WORK~
My summer job/ the best job I've ever had, is now offically over. My last day was Saturday and I cried. They all signed a card for me telling me how they'll all miss me, and they sang me a song about how they loved me!! I'm really going to miss working there. Although my boss Steve said that if I needed hours that he could always find a place for me here and there. (It's really sweet of him!)

However, my new job at a local nursery, Grass Roots, starts this Wed! The woman who runs this place got a lot of help from my old boss at City People's (Steve) before opening this place in Burien. When I was there talking to Tina (my new boss) it looked pretty much the same as City People's. Also everyone at my old job knew Tina and all told me how nice she was and that I'd really enjoy working with her.

Wish me luck guys! I'm really excited!

I'm also doing gardening during the off season to help pay the bills! So if any of you or anyone you know need help weeding, gardening, or cleaning let me know! My rate right now is $15/ hour with a mininum of 2 hours.


~OMFG I'M GOING ON A TRIP!!!~
My boyfriend/ partner in crime/ lesbian lover (haha) and I are going to Ocean Shores this weeked (the 10th - the 12th) for our 4 year anniversery. Holy crap time flies by fast! We're going to drive a long the coast and take in all of the sights. On the way home on Sunday, we're planning to go to the Gig Harbor Ren Faire. We havent had this many days off together... well probably since last year. I'm very excited!


~SCHOOL~
As I mentioned, I have two more weeks of my online class/ the very last class I need for my AA. I'm just so ready for it to be over. September 22nd (I think) is when I start at South Seattle CC and start learning more stuffs about plants. It should be really cool. My class is also going to have the great oppurtunity to work and be a part of the new Chinese gardens that they're in the process of puting together right now. Like I said, really cool...


~RELIGION~
Yeah, I'm trying to settle down with a religion. Actually I've been following the pagan/ Wicca path for about 10 months now, but have been bouncing back and forth during that time. Last Friday, I decided to finally go to my first group ritual! (It was actually for one of the sun festivles, Lammas, or Lusaganah.) I was really nervous since paganinism does draw out the weirdo crouds that think they're vampire/ fairy/ dragon warrior princes/ses. That and I'm kind of shy when it comes to religion. (Long boring history with super crazy christian family has made me this way.) But thanks to the support of my boyfriend I got the balls to just go. I thought I was going to be late, but I turned out to be just on time! (I had to commute from Seattle, home to shower, then down to Tacoma!) I'm really glad I went, there were a few crazy people, but not too overtly "I write in my dead journal about my out-of-body otherkin experiences."
I'm getting back into Wicca heavily again and I hope to be able to hold onto it. I'm going to try and go to more rituals with different groups to see which one works best for me. If any of you guys would like to come a long with me there's always room for one more!


Well... that's pretty much it for an update... nothing else going on in my life that worth talking about. Hope you all are doing well!

With the release of the newest Harry Potter book out today and the new theatrical release of latest chapter featuring everyone’s favorite stubbly faced 14-year-old white wizard, I being part of the 10% of the population who does not masturbate to Hermione, thought it best to inform all of you of the top five reasons why I FUCKING HATE HARRY POTTER.

5) Let me first start this right by saying honestly, the movies ruined this series for me. Back when I was in Jr. High and the books first came out, I read them, and loved them. This was back in a day and age where all those who claimed to be HP fans were cast off as devil worshiping pagan whores. (Well at least by the major Christian groups and my parents.) Then as though the heavens parted and the voices of angles sang on high, Harry turned out not to be so bad after all. (My theory = they finally read the books and realized they weren’t about killing goats to pagan gods. Christians even write about how Harry isn’t bad despite its clear connections to magic use. [link] ) Anyway, getting to my point, I read the first two books, people made fun of me for liking them, then J.K. Rowling must have broken her hands a few times because she just stopped writing them for a long time and I just sort of got out of the whole Harry phase. Fast forward to four years later. The cute book series explodes into a whole dark fandom that cannot be explained. Then the first movie comes out. Good, bad acting, but cute, I liked it. Then they make another. Kind of similar to the first, but still keeps the magic alive. Then they make another. Okay, same idea, is something supposed to happen? Oh my god; how old are these kids anyway? Then they made ANOTHER ONE. This series has gone on for way too long… I just feel embarrassed for these kids… The acting is so bad. Whoa, did someone just die? Then just this year, they MADE ANOTHER FUCKING MOVIE. Is this the longest running series? I think it might be. They could have made this a TV show and gotten more money and have had time to do things like… hire real actors, or train the shitty actors they have, or actually go in depth and follow the story. What a concept! November of 08 “The Half-Blood Prince” is due to come out. I have not gone to go and see Order of the Phoenix and I think I’m going to have to be pretty blitzed in order to not be angry and everything I see on the screen if I do go see it. All of the movies are terrible and make me hate Harry Potter so much.

4) Hermione. Enough said right? Let me explain… I can understand a character that uses her brains and likes to use her wit to win rather than brawl. I can get behind and support a female character that can play along with the boys but who will always beat them through her charm and smarts rather than her boobs and thighs. These were some of the things Hermione was based off in the books. In the movies however, she is nothing of these things. The stupid fucking bitch Emma Watson with her whiney gritty voice that makes me want to punch babies, and her miniature, I wanna be just like Keira Knightly porn face, is not someone who I can stand behind. It’s not just her voice, or her face or her inability to act, it’s also the fact of how they are using a young girl like her as “the sex idol.” They do it by pushing up her AAA, training bra sized boobs up into her face, by taking her out of her school uniform that actually fits and covers her body and into a sexy ambercombie and fitch short mini skirt and low cut top that shows off her anorexic boney body. Example A: Beginning of the series. Cute, dumb nerdy bangs, schoolbooks, school uniform, and a bright happy smile. [link]

Before I go into any of my thoughts of the movie, I think it’s necessary to take a short walk down memory lane. I was born in 1985, a year when Transformer re-runs were on early Saturday mornings. I was also born into a very, VERY Christian influenced household and the idea of giant robots shooting guns at each other wasn’t their idea of little kid friendly. Good thing I’m a girl and wasn’t even into those things anyway! No, I was far too busy watching Ducktales, Smurfs, Captain Planet, Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony, Rainbow Bright, and many other shows that girls wouldn’t be made fun of by other little girls at school for watching. So needless to say, I missed the whole Transformer wave.

So when I found out that they were making a Transformers movie, I think my exact thoughts were, OMFG WHY??? I HATE FUCKING FANBOYS!!! I couldn’t believe that someone actually, one, wanted to turn an 80’s kid show into a live action movie, and two, that there was someone actually willing to pay to have it made. Well, then again, Hollywood is running out of ideas, they are after all, making a FUCKING UNDERDOG MOVIE. The end of the world is truly upon us.

But I actually wanted to go and see the movie to see how terrible it is so I could write this wonderfully terrible review. Daniel, my partner, was surprised that I had suggested it, not only once but about three times before we actually went and saw it. This review had to be written, homework or not.

When I entered the theater, I prepared myself for a mindless action flick. Thankfully I had just recently seen the new Die Hard film (that’s a whole other review… so I was fully prepared to turn off my mind and just watch the pretty colors and robots fly across the sliver screen. Also, my partner said before the movie started that it was like watching the cartoon, only it was live action. Which is exactly what this movie was. A Saturday morning cartoon movie that happened to be live action.


Content:
As I mentioned it was like watching a cartoon. The story was as simplistic as I think they could have made it. Bad robots wanted to take over the world. Good robots come and save the day. The end. Then there was another element that took me by surprise. There was a lot of adult content in this movie; which has led me to believe that Transformers was not made for little kids in their pj’s eating captain crunch Saturday morning. This movie is for the adults who used to be those kids growing up in the 80’s. For the adults who still have their posters of Optimums Prime up in their mother’s basements (or what they like to call the dragon’s tomb), for the guys who work at Best Buy with the Decepticon logo tattooed to their sagging bicep, for the bachelors who come home from a long day at Game Stop to their Autobot action figure collection that is under lock and key just in case… Yes it is these nerdy fanboys that this multimillion film was made and why they are in the works of two, YES TWO MORE FILMS!! D: But going on about my point about the adult content, they talk about masturbation, our main male protagonist tells his hot female counterpart how he would love to ride her all the way home, Bumblebee (the little robot that could) pisses onto a police officer! Then Bumblebee GETS HIS FUCKING LEGS SHOT OFF!!! There’s much more than this, but actually trying to recall anything that wasn’t said by Optimums Prime or Megatron makes my head hurt.


Acting:
Was terrible. The end.


Action:
This was the only reason to get off your ass and watch this movie. As Screaming Cricket mentioned, when I got out of the theater and walking through the parking lot I almost expected to see some of the cars turn into 10’ tall loveable robots that would be my best friend. There were times when it was hard to see where one robot started and where one robot ended when they got all close and were kung fu-ing each other in the robot face. That would be my only complaint about the action. It was done really well and the special effects made every thing look really believable.

With that being said when I went to go and see Ratatouille I had mixed thoughts. I love all of Pixar's films up to Cars, and that being their last film I really honestly hoped that this would not be another let down.

And I was not.

Pixar has done it once again. Ratatouille reminded me why I love Pixar so much. All of their wonderful characters, character designs (the old woman with her huge glasses and a shotgun) beautiful story with ups and downs, everything. I dont think Ratatouille can take the Number one favorite Pixar movie slot from Monsters Inc. but it's up there.

I can probably go on and on in a huge tangent about why I love this movie, but you're probably going to hear the same exact things from everyone else. Instead I'm goinng to take a side step and tell you about my only consern.

It's not even anything bad about the movie, but it made me a little consern about the kids who go and see the movie. There is a lot of death in this movie. In the begining some one very important to our main character Ramy the Rat dies. Later we find out that our main human character, Linguene, his mother has just reciently died. Then Ramy is taken to a place by his father where there are dead rats hanging in the windows. Even in conversation, charcters were telling other characters that they would kill them (in a jokeing matter but still!) I watched some of the younger members in the audience and there were parts where she was really scared and there were parts where I dont think she got it. If you are a conserned parent, and not ready to talk to your kids about death, you might want to save Ratatouille until they're a little older. I was honestly really suprised at the shear amount of death in the film since most Pixar films are geared towards the little ones.

But that was my only un-positive thought about the film. Everything else was so wonderful. I'd go and see Ratatouille again and again, even though I'm not the biggest fan of rats. (haha!)

This is a great refreshing film after (as SC mentioned) a summer of sequels. I give Ratatouille 9 out of 10 cups of tea.

The weird thing about this program is how the classes are set up. Classes are only worth about 1-3 credits each and only meet up once a week. This sounds great and all, but the classes are fucking long.

This is how my schedule is going to look for the fall:

I think I'm going to bring my tent on mondays... I'm going to be there pretty much all day. But now learning my new schedule, I have to figure out how I'm going to work around all of this. City People's is more than likely going to let me go after the end of the season like they said they would, and trying to find a new job that isnt a huge corperation that's open past 5pm is going to be hard too... I guess we'll see what happenes. I'll let you guys know when I know.

So today I went and talked to a counclier to see if I could even walk for my graduation. Thankfully I can, I'll just have an empty diploma and hopefully after this summer quarter when I finish up my FINAL class, they should just send it to me in the mail. Fuck you highline. I'm taking an online corse so I dont have to waist my time going there every fucking day. Thankfully everything is cleared up, for the most part. Thanks highline for letting me know this... oh maybe a few months ago when I could have signed up for two classes instead of just the one. Thanks highline for actually caring about your students. >


But now on to something completly different... remember how I'm such an Avatard... yeah, and I got the box set for season one... it's pretty fricking amazing, let me tell you.

But I actually re-watched a movie that has always been close to me and I had forgotten how much I loved it. Yesterday I watched Princess Mononoke and now I cant stop drawing her! haha! I kind of like her shirt too... I think I might and try sewing one up now that I'll have a bit more time. I think I might watch it again soon... Hopefully my bf and I will have another miyazaki night and rewatch some of our favorites.

OMG my soul... has got me utterly addicted of AVATAR. We started watching the first few eposides at her house on Tuesday night around 6 or 7ish. I was hooked and realed in. After she tooke me home I had to keep watching... so I did. It wasnt until I realized that it was time to go to school the next morning did I realize what I did to myself. 15 hours of Avatar... The funny thing is... I dont regreat it at all. I'd do it again. I wanna go and get the dvd box set so I dont have to watch it on my compy and actually watch the really dark or really light scenes, but it's $70. TTTT_____TTTTT Well $50 on amazon, but that's more moneys than I can afford right now. And I still owe my dad $600. And my boyfriend $100. I'm just glad all of that debt isnt on a credit card.

But going back to AVATAR... honestly, I'd agree with kii in that it is much better than any anime I have seen. True, series like Coyboy Bebop, or Escaflone, or other series that I cant seem to come up with right now, are good, but you know in a lot of anime there always tends to be holes in the stories.. or eposides like, here's our hotspring eposide guys! Avatar is like a really good book that you cant seem to put down. After every eposide I just really want to know what happens in the next one.

Okay I'm done. I could go on a lot more, but I need to clean up the fangirl drool bucket. It's starting to over flow.

Stephanie's humble review of PIRATES OF THE CARRIBIEAN: WORLD'S END

I walked into this movie with high expectations and did not leave disapointed. This will be the major blockbuster of the summer.

The ending is predictable and actually pretty good for me only cause I hate Orlando Bloom and Keria Knightly.

In the past two films, the two would grate on my nerves almost to the point of removing my own limbs or eyes or ears. However, they both didnt seem to bother me as much in this film. Keria Knightly is given way too much screen time in this film and a lot of scenes could have been left out. She gets her own "braveheart" battle speach.

You also learn more about the voodoo chick and she was my favorite character in the second film, but now she's my all time favorite movie of the whole series.

Acting was good, save for two people who I already mentioned. In this 3rd film it seemed that they got it. Or perhaps I was prepared for bad acting on their behalf so it didnt bother me as much. Jeffery Rush was great, Johnny Depp was amazing like always...

Story as I mentioned before was a bit predictiable in places, but it wasnt to the point where it got boreing. I really enjoyed it and followed all the way through.

Action scenes were fun and kept in par with the other Pirate films. The final "battle" scene was a little over the top, but it is to be expected from a film like this.

I'd love to say more about the movie, but I feel that I would be giving a lot of it away if I did that so I will leave it here and now in a safe zone.

I dont think I would have been able to handle the movie at all if it were not for his prior warnings of emo-spidey and other such things. I also want to take this time to thank a stranger. He was in my theather at the time and also made the movie far more enjoyable because he was funnier than shit. I will explain later.

At a glance:
Before going to go and see this overly hyped up summer blockbuster I had a sence of dread deep within my dreads. Honestly the only reason I wanted to go and see it was for Venom. Daniel, my boyfriend, thought that was a bad move as far as ruining the suprise goes. For me, it made me actually want to see it. When the first few trailors came out, I could sence the bad acting. "The only way for us to trust eachother is for us to forgive eachother..." -MJ.

Acting:
Really really bad. I mean, it hurt me at points. And then there were points where it was fine... it wasnt as bad as Ghost Rider by any means, but it wasnt good either.

Which leads me to....


Rant: Emo-Spidey.
O.M.F.G. He even does the emo bangs. It was so... dumb... I cant put words to it. Which is pretty fucking amazinly bad. Sure it was only for a small part of the movie, but still. I can understand that it was trying to show how venom was taking control of Peter, but still. They could have done it a million other ways, but emo-Spidey? Wow, this series has reached an all time new low. I can only hope that they dont make anymore. Which at this point it highly likely. Most series dont do well past 3.

Fludity:
The movie had a few lulls, but for the most part it kept you going. There were times when it felt like I was watching a date movie that was made from a romance novel or something, and then the goblin would show up or Sandman would go chacing after money or something to remind you that, yes in fact you are still watching a comic book movie. I dont think this film is going to do as well as the other two because there was too much love in it. Which as an adult doesnt bother me at all, but the number of little kids running around in spidey costumes I think is going to be much less than in years previous. This wasnt a kids movie.

Story:
*shurg* It wasnt good, it wasnt bad. I agree with what Mike said, in that the director did pull off 3 villions in a movie and make it work, giving each time to develop and build characters. This wasnt a movie to watch and enjoy, it was a movie to watch the action scenes and see spidey get his ass kicked by one of the coolest villions, Venom.

Special Effects:
The only reason to go and see this movie. Sandmand was done beautifully. Venom could have been cooler, but I'm glad they at least had the wicked grin with the fangs and tounge. Green Goblin Jr. was also pretty cool. I dont want to give much away, but the last battle scene I think was done well. I would go and see this movie only for the special effects.

Ending:
Like the acting. Really, really bad. It just seems to end. There's a funeral (snape kills dumbledor) and then Peter Parker goes and sees Mary Jane and they hug. The end. What do I need to scrafice to which demon in order for them to not make another movie.

Fun Note:
One of my favorite actors made another special guest appearance! Bruce Campell! He plays the greeter at a very fancy French restrant, that Peter invites MaryJane to where he plans to perpose to her. He has a few great lines like, "Mister Pecker..." My boyfriend totally called that it would be him and we freaked when we saw that it was Bruce.
Stan Lee also made a guest appearance and tells Peter Parker, "One person really can make a difference."

Over all:
I didnt hate this movie. I didnt love this movie. I'd go to see it again only to see the special effects and Venom. Emo-Spidey made me want to punch him. MaryJane made me want to chock a bitch. Over all I give it 3 out of 5 kitties. 3 only for special effects and Venom.

Yeah I broke and got Pokemon Pearl. Normally I dont really go for the other versions of pokemon that dont have my regular, charazard or pikachu in them. I'm sorry I'm an old school pokemon trainer, okay! But I did break down and buy Pearl. I really wanted to play pokemon again and I really wanted a new game for my DS. (Yes Daniel, I do owe you a movie times, with POPCORN AND A DRINKY POO.)

My thoughts so far 4 hours into the game? Hecka awesome. It's like playing pokemon for the first time and falling in love again. It's like going to the carribiean for your 30th year anniversary with your spouse. Sure you loved the person for who they were when you got married 30 years ago, but now you see this new side to them that you've never seen before and it makes you fall in love all over again.

Other thoughts, they could have done more with the touch screen other than battle and dressing pokemons (yes you can dress up your pokemans and take pictures of them.) But then again, I'm only 4 hours in, there might be more options avaible later. But the touch screen battle makes things like vs. pairs a lot clearer of who's attacking whom, etc. It also makes me feel better cause I'm not just using my A button all the time. I swear my orginal gameboy color's A button is almost dead from Pokemon. haha!

Another cool addition is the poketech, a wrist watch that does things like tell the time (there are night and day pokemons, a feature I really liked in I think it was Emerald, I forget.) how many steps you have taken, a calculator, tells you what pokemons you have on you, all of the great things that any digital wristwatch should have. It even has a note pad! And being the very mature person I am, this [link] was the first thing I had to draw on it. I'm soo going to hell.

Something I thought was a cute change was the rival character. He's not your rival, he's just your excentric friend who's got ADD... Bad. I feel pretty neutral about that change. It's only really there so that parents dont get all weird about the idea of there being rivals in a video game. I'm alright with him being my buddy rather than someone who hates my guts.

I'm not sure how the other non-traditoinal pokemon games were set up because if they didnt have pikachu in them, I didnt play them, but I like how in this version there are still some of my familar pokemons mixed in with new pokemon. That way there are still new changes but still some familar faces along the way. So I dont feel like a noob when I play one of my favorite games. Yeah that makes me feel a whole lot better about myself.

God, I tell you, sometimes I feel just... weird for like pokemon sometimes. One time I was at a bank and I saw some 7 year old boy playing pokemon. Being the strange person who reaks of hippy with frizzy dreadlocks, I love talking to little kids when their parents are around! I smile at him and ask him who his favorite pokemon was and he said one of them few fangled pokemans, I bet he didnt even know what an Alakazam was... anyway. Long story short I made a pretty much silent bank into a dead silent tomb as everyone watched as I talked pokemon with a 7 year old boy. Good thing I'm not like a 40 year old, obease man... then I think they would have called the cops on me.


But I'll let you guys know more about it as I play more.

So far I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 rating. It feels good to play pokemon again.

Things are starting to get stressful again. I have one more quarter at highline and I'm not offically in the class I need to be in. Woops. I'm going to go into the teachers class on the first day and beg her to let me in. It literaly is the very last class I need for my AA.

I'm also thinking about quitting my other job. I only get 3 hours a week there on Sundays. And thinking about another summer of working weekends, unable to go and do any summer things like the midevil fairs, hemp fest, freemont fair, makes me really really sad.

The catch is that they keep me year round unlike City People's will. Offically I'm still seasonal help there, they said that there might be a spot for fulltime employment, but I dont want to get my hopes up.

Lowe's said they'd always rehire me, so I guess if City People's did have to let me go at the end of the season I could always go there. It's not like Herr could even give me more hours.

The more I think about, leaving Herr sounds so much better... Usually when I call in sick for work I feel guilty, even when I was working at Lowe's, but when I called in on my one day cause it was the morning right after St. Patties, I felt no remorse what so ever. I think this is a sign.

I owe you guys a review of 300. I've been too busy trying to do nothing lately, lol. I'm going to go and see it again today.

Oh what's that? "But Stephanie, WHAT IS City People's Garden Center?!?!?!?" Well then let me tell you young pandawans!! This specific nursery is by far, one of the most fanciest, trediest, garden centers in all of Seattle. Landing this job is going to look great on my resume and can easily get me jobs in other places!

The only draw back is that the guy who hired me said that this is a seasonal job and that in the end of summer or begining of fall that he'll have to let me go. He did metion that there might be a place for a full time posistion, but he didnt want to say that that is guarenteed to me and that it depends how business is this year.

However when talking about this to both my mother and my boyfriend they both agreed that because he mentioned the slight chance for full time posistion that I could very well get it, I just have to really impress him.

Ouuu it's so exciting!! This is my first job downtown! Oh my eggo is soo out to here!

This morning the car I've been borrowing from my dad decided to not start across the street at Lowe's while I was filling my tank. So I called up my dad and told him his car was broke. He took care of it and then he actually bought a newish car from someone from craigs list for $200 and it doesnt really even need that much work done on it. I think he might give it to me!! I hope I hope!!!

Another thing about working downtown is the commute. I'll have to see when I can get there every day by bus. Thankfully the bus I take to school goes all the way into Seattle so it wont be that hard of a commute.

Oh and now I wont have to work until midnight at Lowes!!! I am so on cloud nine right now!! XD

Oh and Russell, the fucking asshole from hades? I got a little something for you... I'm fucking gone!! You cant yell at me anymore for being 5 minutes late you hyprictal bastered!!! And now what you've all waited for...


I've decited to turn in the towl for college. That instead of doing what I love for a career that I need to turn in my life for the greater good. I've decited that I need to edit movies for a living. If I had decited this life altering path maybe I would have had the chance to save Ghost Rider.

Ghost Rider wasn't bad but it was no way near good either. The only reason to see this movie is the special effects. They were amazing! I mean a-ma-zing! There isnt much I can go into detail however with the special effects because if you saw the trailor, you've pretty much seen all of the really cool special effects. Unfortuantly they spent their whole budget on the special effects, Nicolace Cage's and Sam Elliots' paycheck.

With what little they had left they grabbed a bunch of okay actors. That's the funny part because most of them, were much better acted than Nicolace Cage. The problem with Nicolace Cage is that he like a fine Merlot that can only be enjoyed with certain meals. Nicolace Cage is a fine actor in certain movies. I loved him in Lord of War. His distant personality worked very well for that character. The other problem with Nicolace Cage is that he can't act. Actors like Jhonny Depp have the ability to change roles, do different parts, of course they're better at some roles than others, but they can ACT the differnt parts. Cage has one persona and he does it well. That persona did not work at all for Johnny Blaze.

This is what made this movie so horrible. The acting... or I should say the lack there of. Lucifer was an old broken man with a huge head who could have been Mephistopheles or a date rapist. He was not into the role at all and with all of the special effects to make him look evil and scary came off as cheesy and goofy.
Blackheart (Mephistopheles' son) was by far one of the most ANNOYING, STUPID, EMO, PUSSY that has ever been SHAT OUT by Hot Topic. The kid could not act. At all. His power was lame. All he did was cry to his fanboys about how his daddy hates him that he "just doesnt understand him" and then tries to do something stupid that if he was as ALL POWARFUL as he's hyped up be he would have been able to see the hole in his plan. And during the movie he pretty much tells Cage's character how to beat him. I think that during his time on earth Blackheart spent a lot of time oh his dead journal and on his myspace account finding people "who really understand him." I can also imagine that Mephistopheles must have been pissed to see that the credit card he gave to his son for emergincies was racked up with purchases from Hot Topic.
Blackheart's three emo fag fanboys were also done very poorly. They're "fallen angels" who "hid themselves in elements." So there's a dude who's always wet, one guy who hasnt taken a shower in a really long time, and one guy who has fake fangs and the wind blowing in his really nasty trying to be dreadlocks wig. The producers could have easily picked up these kids at a convention or some rave club, and promised them that if they would suck their cocks, they'd put them in a movie.

For one the female love intrest did not suck... well maybe like the emo fag fanboys she might have... but didnt suck in the sense of non-acting. I actually liked her. She had spunk, she was in love and she was planning on leaving him for plenty of good reasons. Maybe if the fucking Mephistopheles Mob would have stoped masterbating everytime they saw her, they could have learned how to actually act.

Sam Elliot was also excellent in this role... but then again. Sam Elliot is excellent in every role he's ever done. He is pure cowboy through and through. When the man wakes up he eats fucking bacon and eggs with his black coffee. He could break Chuck Noris with a glance. He made this movie enjoyable when all looked bleak and too fucking emo.

The acting was horrible, I mean really horrible, but the true reason for my convert to the holy carrer of film editing was the story it's self. We have our main character who is stuck in a hard desion. Run off with the girl he loves or stay at home to take care of his Dad who he loves that is dying from lung cancer (btw kids dont smoke! One cig'll get ya!! This advertisement paid for by the Non-somkers Inc. who want to remind you all to be sure and vote Republican!) Then we meet a character who is old... kind of weird looking, wearing Hot Topic clothing and holding onto a skull cane that looks like it came from a Halloween super store that he doesnt actually walk with. Now this is when I'm thinking that his guy could either be a date rapist, a child melstor or maybe the unholy ruler of hell... maybe. Now for a real update...

Work isn't so bad right now... I'm not working the second job right now because they're closed for the winter and they cant afford to pay me! lol, which is cool because now I get three days off in a row to catch up on homework! sweet! And I'm still getting enough money at Lowe's to live and pay back my dad the $800+ I still owe him! lol

School is good, although I'm not sure how some of my classes are going to catch up due to the week of no classes. Oh well. Their problem, not mine. I'm currently taking Yoga and Tai Chi in the morning... 8:00 fucking am... yeah I'm not too sure what I was thinking either, but it's not that bad. I've been getting really tired lately, but since I have three days off in a row, it gives me time to catch up on sleep. I'm also taking cultural anthropolgy and the gentical revolution! Both interesting classes I need for my science credits. Also I am happy to announce that this quarter at highline is my last one. HOORAY!!! It only took me three years to get a two year degree... funny isn't it?

Boyfriend is doing well. I'm very happy because he's going to be working the morning shifts at his job on Mondays and Wednesdays! So I'll actually be able to hang out with him on Monday nights! XD

So I got Burning Crusades and it makes me joygasim... so much. I went to the midnight release at my local gamestop and talked to really annoying paladins who only play on pvp servers. All I hear when they talk is that annoying rerererer sound the adults made in the Peanuts movies. I sometimes make out some random numbers that are supposed to mean something to me, DPS, and pwnd. My friend Andrew who works at a gamestop was called a carebear because he didnt like playing on pvp servers. I hate people.

Well I need to go and play wow with my boyfriend... he's probably pissed cause I told him I'd get on right when I got home from work... sorries!!!

This horribly choppy film made me want to go and watch the Dungons and Dragons movie, or Mannos Hands of Fate, or jump into a swiming pool of thumb tacks to end my agony.

It had no imagination or anything new at all. My boyfriend and I were quoting every other single movie that Eragon had Scotch Tapped together to make their film.
One instance is a scene in which Eragon comes home to find that his Uncle had been killed (in some sort of way to find Eragon... I guess...) (The enemy didnt keep him alive to try and get any information about his adopted son, like where he would be... or maybe even try and use the uncle as bait in a trap to try and capture the hot-headed 17 year old duffus, no no no... that would be FAR too EASY!! Instead they kill him.) As he's looking for his uncle, I could hear in the back of my head, "Uncle Owan... Aunt Baru?" The whole scene it's self ends up in flames and him riding off with his new teacher.
Another example of movie theft was in a scene later in the film after Eragon, the mighty Dragon warrior!! has just saved the beautiful warrior princess from the unknown and unmentioned land!! They are getting their things to go when the chick falls down in horrible agony! Eragon, knowing NOTHING about ANYTHING and turns to his dragon who tells him (via mind link!!) that she has been poisened by the evil icky poo bad guys and that they need to hurry to the one destination they've been trying to get to during the first horribly boring hour of the movie or SHE'LL DIE!!! Oh no Frodo's been stabbed by a Nazgul! I mean... the princess...

The action scenes made The Last Unicorn seem like Lord of the Rings (not animated). They were horrible. Like the whole theme of the movie, short and choppy. It was as if they felt like they needed to put them in so that they could actually sell some tickets. Another example? The final battle scene was just a bunch of flashy lights and explosions with the random guys falling down every now and then. I couldnt even tell you what happened in that battle because it was kind of over when Eragon defeated the evil icky bad man with his shiny dragon sword. Even the dragon battle was horrible! It lasted maybe... 3-5 minutes and consisted of more flashy fireballs until Eragon figures out the ONE way to defeat his undefeatable opponent. (Honestly, I thought that Eragon would take off his vest and say, "I am no man!" in order to defeat him. What? They stole pretty much everything else!)

Also there were only 3 black people in this whole movie. Three. And they had wigs on! I felt bad for Djimon Hounsou! He's a great actor!

The magic in the world was confusing... Magic comes from dragons except for the ugly guy who really needed some chapstick and a hair cut. He doesn't have a dragon, but seemed to have a lot more powerful magic than winney Eragon. He couldn't be killed unless he was stabbed in the heart. Eragon could have been killed if he got a fricking papercut!
It reminded me of the scene in the horrible classic Harry Potter in which Lord Voldomort in all of his epic evilness tells his worshipers not to help him, that he could take this stupid "14" year old. And by some stupid unbelieave reason, Harry manages to get away again. WTF? Why do writers ruin stories by always making the good guy win? Especially when they cant and they shouldnt? It's like reminding your kids, who already think they are invincible, that they are and that no matter what happens they, Harry Potter and Eragon cant die! Eragon didn't even get beat up in the movie!
In the newest Pirates of the Caribbean movie (which a lot of kids did see and enjoy) Jhonny Depp's character gets eaten! He is defeated! (Of course he'll come back, but it did show him being defeated.)
Do I even need to mention Empire Stikes Back? Han was practially dead. Luke's hand... Gone. That'll teach your kids a lesson about lopping hands off!

This movie tried to steal greatness from great films and failed at that.

In closing, this movie would only be good if you are or have the thought process that of a 10 year old. If you do not fit into said catagory, then do not see this movie. You'll thank me later.

In other news, Seattle had a horrible snow storm pass through on Thrusday night last week stealing my power among 2 million others around my area with it's mightyness. omg! If some of you read 's journal she said that she still had power and a working computer and a working fridge and a working stove and working heart... NOT ANYMORE!! Yep Saturday night as the electric companies have been working madly on the clock day in and out to get everyone's power back, kii, and her neighborhood lost their power. She called me right as I was getting out of seeing happy feet with my mother and asked me if I had power. When I told her no, she told me that someone had stolen her power! haha! I think that, that is hillarious! She was one of the lucky one with power and then she lost it!! When there wasn't even a storm! So for any of you wondering why she isnt online, it cause she cant! lol!

Other than that, nothing too new with me. Trying to stay alive through this holiday season... going crazy poor... T-T

So sorry for the disapearing act I was trying to pull. The quarter is almost done for me and I've been really busy with EVERYTHING. Mostly I'm just stressed cause I'm getting so close to finishing. :c Which is good, but it also means I have a lot of big desions to make here real soon. I'm not even going to go into it now...

Right now I'm working on a Yule / Winter Solsistce card / picture for the end of next month.

But honesly... other than that... I havent been drawing more than the random girl every now and then in my notes.

Sorry if some of my new COLORED pictures all seem to have the same outline. I'm just trying new things out with COLOR since I NEVER COLOR ANYTHING. I'm very proud of myself. Makes my gallery look sooo much cooler when it's in COLOR.
