Gah. Hate having an f---ing mortgage!
Word of advice to the young: SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Believe me, it'll help out BIG TIME. You won't be scrounging for every cent, in case you end up living from paycheck to paycheck.
If you're in school, NETWORK! Connections get you better jobs!
And pick a career that'll actually earn you money! It may not necessarily be the career you like, but the sooner you get the major bills out of the way with a good paying job, the rest is peanuts!
*sigh*
If I could turn back the clock and start over...I WOULD!!!

Yep, the demented, murderous, Kurodou Akabane himself, makes me put pencil to paper. I'd couldn't have predicted how much of a great score it was for me, when I decided, by chance, to picked up this set of GetBacker dvds! As fond as I am of watching my anime in the japanese language, it really surprised me how decent the english voice acting was for the dubbed layer!
Too bad not all of the anime that's spit out onto north american soil is of the same quality.
(ugh. take Gantz for instance - shudder)
Got some time off work and still dreaming of winning the lottery. (guffaws) But don't we all? (unless you already got the money to burn. then i'm just green with envy!)
Writing this crazy fanfic about the not-so-good Doctor paired with Ban Mido on ffnet. If any of you are GetBacker fans, and are simply curious, zip over here
[link]
and have a fun read! (Don't forget to leave a little note for me---if you feel like it---in the review section.
Okay. Shameless plug for myself's done now.

I finally attended my first anime convention...and I'm wondering if I didn't go about it the right way. I just showed up for one day with my guy and found it...very disappointing.

It was a Saturday afternoon so I figured it would be very busy. I saw some great costumes (Vash, Iori and Jin from Tekken) and some great artwork. But it seemed very disorganized with lots of empty pockets, especially at the Congress center. It was like goint to a flea market. There was also this huge space set up with nothing happening! Shouldn' t being at convention be like a spectacle? And for $60?! Yikes...I just felt ripped off...

Or maybe I should've gone for the 3 day tour? I just don't know. Makes me really think twice about going to another one...ever. Heck, a simple trip to San Francisco's Japantown would be good enough for me.

The highlight was meeting Starxade in the Dealer's room. I spotted her artwork style a immediately. I hope she did well. Got myself an autographed poster of a beautiful portrait of Vampire Hunter D. (you rock, girl!)

And why were they showing the dubbed versions of Dragonball Z for the marathon? (eek!)

Anyway, despite my disappointment at the convention, my love for anime will always be with me till the day I die. (hehe) I'm an otaku for life and I'm perfectly fine with that!

Now...if I could just manage to stay home and draw all day from now on, I can die a happy girl...

Just a massive thank you to everyone who's visited my little space here in DeviantArt and commented on my gallery.
There are a LOT of talented people out there. And more than once I've had my mouth hanging open in envy. LOL
I'm not much of a web personality, I just come and go when I have the time, so don't feel like you're being ignored if you send me a note. (I always reply)
I'm glad places like this exist on the net, where anybody can express how they feel, visually, in so many forms. (More power to all you deviants out there!)
Anyway, take care everyone, and hope you all have the courage to pursue your dreams in life. I'll be around.
Oh, and as far as updating my gallery...(grins) (sweatdrops)...I'm a bit of a procrastinator...
