GORDON'S ALLLIVE!!!!

Yes we know Gordon's alive....I'm alive toooo I'm just gonna give ya'll a wee bit of an update.

I'm just wee bit busy being back at uni and what not.
Not much has happened apart from the progression of my uni module which is 'Forms of Ambiguity'...sounds fancy doesn't it? It's a clever guise to make me sound smartness!

And you know how I was monaing last year aabout the really pooty studio space? Well this year I have such a fab space!! It's roomy, bright and light pours in from the parital glassed roof! I loooove it!

We also get a chance to do some placement work at the Walsall New Gallery or the Ikon, but there's sooo many applicants that you have to go to interveiws! Count me out! lol I may try and find me own placement though, I'm not sure yet.

Also Semyon Faibisovich is one of my new favourite painters. He paints from photos taken on his mobile. The paintings are just simply epic when you view them in person!

I have many a things in progress and many many ideas just not enough time to do EVERYthing. I'm currently working on a skirt of epic proportions, that was orginally inspired by the New Romantics movement....but I got a bit carried away and now it's gonna be all sorts of crazy!

As always I'm loooking for more shoes to paint, I currently have rescused a few more pairs from a thrift and vintage shop.

I also opened a print/orginal art store on etsy. I'm gonna move all my arty shizzle over there and then I can just have clothes and shizzle in my main store.

AND finally I have some awesome news, but I'm keeping my mouth closed for now But I promise it's RAWRsome!
I think that's all I'm gonna bombard you with for now.

Back at Uni

Well peeps that time of year has rolled around again. I'm back at uni tomorrow although we don't actually re-enrol til the 29th I think it was..but yeah so you'll see even less of me me thinks.

But if I look back to past trends, I'm thinking I'll be more active round here!
This next year will consist with more individual practice, more theory and essay writing(sad face) and my study trip to NY! I canae wait!!!

I'm still working on stocking up my Etsy store for the coming gifting season, but I doubt I'll have that much time to make a shit load more.

Lastly I apologize to you all for being a sucky internet pal, I promise I love you all!

Well I fail at keeping up with shiizzle over here.
But I have reasons! I have been sewing like no one's business. I have 5 new tops/hoodies to list, that were all made for the DiyScene Team's monthly themes. (That's a mouthful! )

I've also just opened up shop on Folksy and I'm gonna see how that does in the next few months. [link]

Erm what else...? HAYFEVER. I'm telling you people hayfever is the bane of my exsistence. It lives to make my life miserable in the summer. The sad thing is, I really love the summer. I hate bein cooped up indoors, with a bloody nose, itchy & swollen eyes, not to mention difficulty breathing. It's all starting to piss me off.

I'm not driving around either because of my haver [and my knee]. Last I drove with my hayfever, it was a driving lesson, I sneezed as I was coming to a stop at the give way. My foot hit the accelerator as I sneezed almost hit a car that was moving faster than I.
So I've begun lookinf into alternative therapies for it. If any of yourselevs have had any experiences with hayfever relief that isn;t meds, feel free to share!

Erm that's all for now me thinks. I will get caught up on comments/replies/journals/devs asap.

As the title says..I'M FREE FOR THE SUMMER!!!!!

The first thing I did, when I got back yesterday (from handing the mammoth essay in)was sleep like a bear. Man I sooo needed that! Although I think I could sleep for another day!

I'll take some pix of the work I've done for this semester, when I go later today to get it all back.

Oooohohohoh I've also got some modelling pix to show yee all too. Unless you're Kat, then you've already seen them!

Yes kookees duncked in berry tea to taste rather yummy! It's like a berry cookie, or cookie berry flavoured..tea? You get the idea!

Asides from the tea adventures, I'm on easter break, but with two essays to write! WTF?!
We hand one in and they GIVE US TWO MORE TO WRITE?!?!?!?!? What went wrong!? Which also means still going into uni in the hols for some researching! Woo!! I really don't mind that, tis a beautiful building!
But I has it under control one is almost written and the other..well *coughs* I still have to settle on which question. Atm I'm swaying towards the land art related question. Well because that was the only lecture I didn't fall alseep in!

I also have a crapton of clothes to list on Etsy, which I've had finished since Feb! <_< Falling behind....I can never get the right balance between uni stuffs and the crafting stuffs. You'd think I would be slightly more organised with it this year...but alas it's quite the opposite!

However I did spend a good 2/3 hours yesterday gaming with my lovely younger sister. I haven't so much as looked at a game in the past few months, never mind about playing one! So that was a nice change.
And tonight me and mom, plan to stay up til the wee hours of the morn to catch up on our indian soap dramas. I am hooked on them!*shock horror*

I did have alot more to say, but then the tangents above made me forget!

I must apologise also I am sucking majorly at replying to comments and commenting on journals and devs and stuff. I'm slowly gettin back into the groove people, just bare with me.

In other news I got my essay all done and handed in! Wooo!! Such a weight lifted. Now I can use my new serger and make moar crafts!!

Also I am in the process of binding books for the awesome peoples that are =Lustful-Sin & ~un-earthed

Asides all that craftyness going on I also baked Moe a rainbow cake for her birthday...that turned out epic fail. I watched it slowly deflate into a deflated rainbow birthday cake! But we had a fun day to make up for lake of cake. Twas yummy though!

I am currently working on my last project of this year for uni. I may eventually need peoples to participate but that's after I have worked out all the lil' details!

Lack of March Feature

Well turns out I need a sub so I can haz thumbs for ma journal.
Without thumbs for ma journal there won;t be any AC Features.

So yeah, I'll either start doing news articles of AC Features or I'll has to buy a sub and continue with the journal features.

Asides all that, I have an essay to write. We have to read and compare Clement Greenberg's essay on 'Modernist Painting' to Donald Judd's 'Specific Objects' essay.
...and I can DEFINATELY say that Greenberg's essay left me confused. Judd's essay is easier to understand coz he doesn't use as many fancy words as Greenberg.

And fo those of you that know me properly..know that I don't mix well with fancy words! XD The essay is due in one the 20th march.. <.<
Only given a 1000 words to cover seven given [detailed] points.

WHY MAKE MY LIFE HARDER!? I just wanna paint and make things. Dream rainbows and eat cupcakes. *sigh*...oh well....

I just dread to think what next year's essays are gonna be linke..not to mention the 3rd essay which is a pretty big deal.

Okies right I'd best stop ranting and actualky get some of this stoopid essay written

Hey peoples just dropping a line or two, to let you all know that I've gone into lurking mode.

I promise you that I am actually being very productive on a day to day basis for once!

The exam wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Now just gotta sit tight for the results....which is gonna be a killer. The second project is done and has been assessed. I get feedback on the 9th of Feb.
The next thing we haz to do at uni, is to curate a show of the second years work <_< But thankfully this is just a fun thing and won't count towards our overall grade.

I got two weeks off uni (I think I'm not sure...I haven't actually checked, but it's something like that ) I'm as busy as ever sewing and painting stuffs. Hopefully I'll being to spam you all with photographic evidence of thee productivity I talk of

For I haz been asked to take apart in The Remade Fashions Fair
which takes place on the 21st of Feb! I'm sooooo flipping excited but at the same time nervous coz it's the first time I'll be face to face, selling my wares to the public! eeep!

That title can mean only one thing!

I finally watched The Dark Knight last night! ZOMG!
So fucking excellent! I love it! I weren't too keen on Batman's slight lisp....but that may just be me!

How great was the Joker? Heath was bloody brill! I also thought the upside down bit he did...was jaw droppingly amazing! It's such a shame that he too has become another lost talent of this world. R.I.P Heath.

Also the pencil bit was pretty slick.

I can't believe it, I've grown quite attached to them. But then would it be any fun if I made something I didn't love?

My cousin's wife and my niece were in a car crash! Some morons who stole a car smashed into them! Thank god they are both ok, but bloody morons. The people from the other car did a runner.

Apart from that I'm back at uni tomorrow for a meeting bout the new module. Back to working socks off. I managed to finish 1 of the 3 scarves I started. I reconned a new top and managed to do more to =votrereine coat I'm making for her. I've got pix...just need to find time to post!

Plus my etsy needs new items, I wanna paint more heels but I'm too fussy when it comes to picking shoes to paint on.

Man have I been working my socks off this week. Hopefully all will pay off and I'll pass assessment.

I've got two days off next week because of assessment that'll give me time to craft and paint and generally veg out on the sofa watchin the box!

Well i've been at uni for 3 days now.....and at the mo I'm thinking what have I got myself into???

But on the plus side I made more friends!! I'm not sure when we have lessons or whatever you call them properly yet....

Anyways, the police phoned while I was at Uni today they wanted to speak to me about that incident with the bottle. EEepppppp I ain't got nothing to be scared of that idiot almost had me out cold! Well my uncle, auntie and gran left for india yesterday!
And normal chaos is restored!

It's so quiet now though my ears have gotta get used to that.....

Well apart from that I'm working on making a dress.
Looking up recipes to make my sister a b'day cake. Just simple ones mind you. If you have any for simple cakes that even I could make, send 'em this way!

I learned how to crochet yesterday and spent the whole evening adding a border to scarf. And it looks fancy!

My Hand

I can't do anything crafy or painterly, until I've rested my hand for atleast 7 to 10 days!!!
How am I gonna cope?

and I got a few projects on the go! I started a massive painting, I'm in the process of drawing my grandad, I'm also on a knitting frenzy! Nevermind the random nights I stay up to paint shoes.

Oh well, I suppose it's best to rest now than later on and making my hand worse. So erm yup.

I learned somthing new today. How to make clickable banners. You see that pretty thing down there? I made it today and figured it out in a matter of mintues thanx to some lovely people on Etsy.

Me and ~wenamestars have a collab in planning, which should be mind blowing! Once we get it together. Ain't that right Kat? So watch this space!

That's all I gotta say for now....

Noodles Missed My Mouth...

Well concerning the title, yesterday I was feeling quite peckish. And after asking my beloved sister to make me a bowl of noodles. She finally got up to do it.

After waiting so hungrily to eat my bowl of noodles.
She brought it in, holding it with a kitchen cloth. And puts it down infront of me.

I go to take out the cloth from underneath when BAM!!!!

THE BOWL OF NOODLES FALLS OVER SPILLS ONTO THE TABLE OVER ONTO THE TABLE, OVER THE EDGE OF THE TABLE AND ONTO MY LEG!!!! OMFG!!! THE NOODLES BURNT MY LEG!!!!

Runing up the stairs to pull off my trousers to see the damage, it was a massive red patch across the majority of my thigh.

And this is the part where most people cause blisters. Don't put cold water onto the burn cause that will cause the blister. Instead smother it with toothpaste. It works a treat. It cools it down, prevents blistering and well smells minty!

So I trott back down the stairs, to see my sister cleaning up the mess and my mother in HYSTERICS!!! We did get a good laugh outta it. And there are no blisters not even red marks.

I did manage to eat the few noodles that were left in the bowl, along with some cheese toasties.

Another classic kezbirdie clumsy moment. Although it was my sis's fault!

_{My Grandad is back in hospital. He went in last week wednesday...I think.
I went to see him yesterday he is in CCU (Coranary Care Unit) He went in orginally coz he was having chest pains again. But they found ulcers in his stomach. Where as the first time he went into hospital, they said there was nothing dangerous in his stomach.

So they hooked him up to some blood and meds. He looks alot better now. Hopefully he'll be home again in a few days.

I am also in the process of drawing a portrait of my Grandad. It's a wonderful picture of when he was in his prime and worked at a metal forging place. I dunno what kind of metal. But me thinks is was either steel or iron. Hopefully you'll be seeing that in a few days.

I'm also making a spiffy jacket from curtains I found in a sale. That's nearly finished I just need a zipper some trim and attach the lining.}

It's quite a shock, to say I'm not nearly as good as the other people feature in the article! But it has made my weekend!

That's it. I've handed all my work in! and now I gotta wait a week til I get the results! Fingers crossed that I get a pass.

I feel like I didn't do enough work although my folder was full and my sketchbook. But we'll see. We get our marks the day of the opening of the exhibtion! So it coud ruin the evening or make it very enjoyable!

Mom got back from india on sunday. It was a big relief to have her home. It was enough having to worry bout the bills and food and stuffs for a week!

I also saw my mate off today. She's going back home til September. Which is a good few months away! I'm missing her already!
But she'll be back before I know it! Ready to have more adventures! XD

I really don't think I have much else to say. Apart from I'm not sure what to wearto opening night. I was thinking of fancy dress, but I'm not sure. This is the end of an amazing year. It really is.

Time for another small update.
Well I went and voted yesterday!

More importantly, my year on the foundation course is coming to an end. The year has flown by so quick! Done so many new things this year too.

Anyho, the final project has to be handed in on the 28th of may! That like in a FEW WEEKS!!!! Got soo much to do!!!
And they also want the exhibition up by them too!!! I'm gonna be crazy come the end! Dudes you're all welcome to come to the show. I think it opens to the public on the 10th of june, that's what it says on the website, but I'm not sure if the jigged the dates around.

I gotta go get a job too for the summer. So I can buy stuffs and hopefully I'll pass my driving test and buy a car.

...I'm gonna go and pull my hair out now.

Fishes Everywhere!!!

I took a lil' trip to the Sea Life Centre on Friday with my mate. Oh bloody nora we had fun. The stingrays are real cute up close even more so when you can see their happy faces! There were gi-norumus turtles! I've never seen any that big!!! And the sharks...were pretty big too.

There was a cute lil' fish called a box fish, it was like a lil' floating box! I'll put some pix up, but they weren't very good coz the place was pretty dark and weren't allowed to use a flash and if you did it reflected off the glass.....problems all round.

Ooo the octopus was awesome. The tentacales were soo long, looked like it was trying to escape.

Anyhooo, apart from taking a trip to see fishies, I'v been busy with uni. Only bout a month or two left until the end of year show and our final marks! Eep!
And i am currently sewing another bag, which is proving a lil' tricky. I've also altered another jacket and sewed on some most funky buttons.

...And still knitting them! It's for a great cause!
I've also booked a driving test which is like in a month's time. Double Eep!

Finally yesterday I bought a mannequin for Â£13!!! Another fab bargain!
I also watched Spirited Away from start to finish. When it's been on TV I've only watched the middle bit. So I bought the DVD for Â£7 and watched it with my mom. I'm also addicted to Starbucks. Not so much the coffee but they do a mean hot chocolate as well as the muffins and cookies!
