Even though I have a lot of free time from work in these next few weeks, I don't feel like stressing myself by trying to write quicker than I feel comfortable. I'm going to keep writing at my own pace, and use my free time to chill and hit the arcade up tomorrow (I need to find out how out of shape I am, ahaha).

So, yeah. Looks like not many people that I know are still doing NaNo ): Oh well, it was fun while it lasted! And Ian, if you'd like to hang out again now that we've freed up a bunch of our time and don't have to sit in front of laptops the entire time, that would be excellent! ...WELL, I did get a new computer, and so far all my hardware seems to be operating just fine on it, so I'll likely be able to scan stuff without booting up my laptop again!

Ironically enough, my first entry on this account was posted about two years ago, when I got a new computer that I thought was so awesome- before none of my hardware would work, and the sound inexplicably stopped working after one of those automatic "updates" (which I have switched off, goddamn). Hope THAT doesn't happen again! *

I'm probably being waaaay too optimistic... but damn, this computer rocks my entire sock drawer.

Off to draw! ...hopefully.

I'm... somewhat alive again? I might be posting more on DA now that I've kind of gotten back into drawing seriously again. As busy as I am, I'm trying to find time to do more artwork.

And I'm going to try to balance out drawing fanart and original content. Fanart is fun, and sure, it'll get me more traffic, but I do love drawing original art.

...On a totally unrelated note, it's so cool to click on the subject line on here and see all the previous subjects I've used on other sites. For some reason, they don't go away when I clear my cache? But they're fun to look at.

Trying to get more proof sorted out here... I also have this [link] <- a screenshot showing that the person with this name didn't change my website when they hacked my account and changed the name. They changed the email and password, though.

Not that I really care since I don't go on Gaia a lot, I'm just upset that Chikky just bought my penguin slippers for my birthday and she goes on Gaia a lot so that's big for her, and now her work was for nothing.

This is a meme in which I am to list ten things about my art, so um. ...yeah, this is more difficult than it sounds.

1. I really don't like digital art... it's too time-consuming and not as much fun, and it's harder to make sketches come out right. (But I'm still practicing like crazy to get better at it, go figure.)

2. I don't finish a lot of stuff (past detailed but rough sketches, anyway). Call me lazy. But that's why my gallery is so empty.

3. I struggle the most with feet and legs. I'm also pretty bad with arms, which is why it's difficult for me to figure out interesting poses.

4. Except for... rappigs and Skitties, I fail hardcore at animal anatomy. I need a ton of practice drawing animals.

5. ALRIGHT HOW ABOUT SOMETHING POSITIVE? I would sell my soul for Copic markers. *v* Expensive they may be, but I'm so used to them now! Although I can still do fine with any other kind of markers.

6. I love coloring things with BRIGHT, HAPPY COLORS that make your eyes melt and your teeth fall out just from looking at the picture. Yay for pink, yellow and green! Some of the stuff on my old gallery was a better example of this, though.

7. Sadly to say, I don't draw a lot of original stuff anymore lately, because it doesn't seem to be as interesting to people as fanart is. o: Or if I draw it, I don't finish/post it...

8. I find that for me, trying to draw in a bunch of different styles helps me develop a middle ground between the ones that I like... if I find something that looks good, I consider it an improvement.

9. Beyond that, I've always wished I could broaden my horizons a little further than just anime styled/cute art... but I have no interest in realism, at least when it concerns drawings of people. I'm planning on practicing realistic-ish backgrounds, but I always want my humans to look somewhat toon-ish.

(I know, I know, realism helps you learn and all that. I study realistic poses for anatomy and such, but I think it's mostly the faces. I like anime/cartoonish faces, that's just the way my art is.)

10. Half the reason I like magical girl stuff is because their outfits are so bright and colorful and detailed and pretty, and it's so much fun to draw fanart, or at least clothes in that style. Lace/ribbons/frills/accessories = WIN.

Now I'm going to have to fight with my scanner later, because I'm heading down to meet in a little bit o: We were originally going to go to the casino near here and apply for work together, but he's not feeling so hot today, so we're just going to chill at another friend's house and hack our PSPs.

D: So now I post 8 facts about myself that are hopefully interesting enough to keep the reader's attention. lol?

Okay here I go. UMMM...

1. I feel really uncomfortable undressing or changing where there's a magazine or poster of a person... it feels like they're watching me, which is really creepy for some reason. It's kinda the same with anime pics and stuff, but it doesn't bug me as much since they're not real icky-looking celebrity people.

2. I pretty much never watch TV, except for Robot Chicken if I happen to catch it. ...well, there are a few other things, but that's my favorite. I'm too busy drawing and absoring intarwebs into my brain to care about the boob tube.

3. Maybe ever moreso than rpgs, I like video games that are on heaps of crack, like Banjo-Kazooie and Rayman. The first Banjo-Kazooie is my all-time favorite video game. I think I have the whole thing pretty much memorized, except for a few little details in the last couple of levels.

4. I'm almost always cold. Even in the middle of summer, I can sneak up on people and stick my cold feet on them. Or SHOVE MY COLD HANDS UP THE BACK OF THEIR SHIRTS. (sry caps.) I think it's a little better if I spend a lot of time outside, but... well, yeah. I have to wear slippers around the house all the time, or I die.

5. [fandom secret!!] I secretly like making Jade female and pairing her with Peony like that. stfu, if I can't have canon Peony/Nephry and almost everyone is going to bitch at me and call me a rabid fangirl for liking Peony/Jade, I can at least make it more suitable to their hetero purist tastes.

...anyway IT'S JUST FANDOM WHO CARES

6. I get completely disorganized when my room or workspace is too clean. ...then I end up pulling everything out just to look for something, and it's messy all over again... ahaha. I'm a bit of a slob, really.

7. The only reason I'm afraid to go to school for fashion is because the thought of celebrities wearing my designs kind of sickens me. Ugh, I know it's pathetic, but I really do dislike most famous people THAT much.

8. I can't drink a lot of plain water. Drinking something tasteless makes me sick D:

Windows Vista is pretty nifty too, there are some things that I dislike, but some things that I like a LOT (such as the awesome features it adds to my tablet, I get a little pop-up when I'm typing in a chat window or something and I can write my short message instead of putting down my tablet pen to type. This wins.), so I might keep it around and decide whether I want to downgrade or not later.
