I got acrylic paints and a book written by Sofi Oksanen from my parents. the book is called "Baby Jane" and it's the second best book imo. my younger brother gave me few black pens for line-arting and some chocolate. and i'm getting mattresses to my new 160cm wide bed today, yay !

what comes to my art, uh huh. i've really lacked inspiration and haven't really had energy or interest to draw/do anything. ecpecially 'cause i've stressed about all this school-stuff. but i think i'll get better once i'll get back to school.

whaaaaaaaat has happened?
suddenly, after lovely =lokelani featured me on her Finnish artists journal i got so much attention from you guys ! so many watchers in a single day whooooo thank you very much !
and uh, haha, i've also missed my page views, almost 30k? wow.

okay, what has been going on? my life is open for a whole year, i have no idea what should i do. i got "accepted" to this one school where i could draw everyday without busy school schedule and get feedback from professionals, but since i'd have to pay around 500 euros/month to study there, i'm not sure if i'll go there or not. my other option is to study Russian, Spanish and history at the open university, but i think that's my least favorite option. third option is to become an au pair, but that's still open since two of the families i sent email to haven't answered anything yet. fourth and the last option is to find a job, but it's pretty fucking hard nowdays. but i'm not getting depressed, i take this "openness" as a chance and as an adventure.
like now i'm @ vammala visiting my friend. it was supposed to be a quick meeting at my home yesterday, since she drove to tampere with her friend and i wanted to see her (it had been a long time since we last met). but then i just hopped in their car and now i'm here. next week i'm going to porvoo to visit another friend of mine and i'm pretty thrilled about that too.
how's stuff with you guys? and hey. i'd like to experiment new music, tell me your favorite bands/artists and i shall try them out!

i haven't really drawn anything during last weeks, so the next thing you can expect from me are art-trades. and maybe some fanart of one piece, since they finally translated book number 46 into Finnish and BROOK is in it! i've waited for it for so long *_____*
i've booked two art-trades for me atm, but i think i could handle two more. anyone interested? :----)

maybe it's because i'm applying to these art colleges and i don't really know what will i do if i don't get into any of 'em. yeah, it will be a year off, i could concentrate on working/ finding a job, to my art, etc etc and apply again next year, but i've started to doubt my skills and ...uh. idk.
i've always known that one day i will be a true artist, maybe an art teacher, that i will graduate from an art school, but. but but but. what if that never happens? who am i? if not art, my life has no other meaning. sigh.

IÂve always wanted to start a comic project and boy, have I started many of them. Unfortunately, every one of them have met their end in a way or another.
Anyway, I was drawing last night and some new characters were born. I got this idea of starting a comic project, starring these pirate ladies wearing animal masks. IÂm not actually sure WHY are they wearing those, but IÂm sure IÂll figure it out later. The story will contain kidnapping a princess, relationshit stuff, fighting in pirate-style, weird people, fantasy, harsh language, prolly some sexual themes, awful humor and girl loo~ve.
Now you wonder WHY am I telling this to you. Well. This is the part where YOU come in, dear reader oÂmine.
I really enjoy drawing figures and characters themselves but doing backgrounds isnÂt really my thing. Firstly, I donÂt like it, and secondly, I donÂt know how. Since I thought that I might actually want to make this comic look good (coloured pages etc), IÂd like to have proper backgrounds in it. So, anyone interested in doing the backgrounds for the comic?
Because almost nothing is decided yet, we could also take your own characters in, we could develope the story together etc etc. The job itself would be done like this: IÂm doing the character stuff, youÂd be drawing the bgÂs.
IÂd/WeÂd publish this in Internets, and weÂd be doing this for our own pleasure and fun. Later we could see where this might lead, aight?

If you have free time, you like comics, youÂd like to practise your bg skills (or you just enjoy drawing bgs) and this could be something youÂd like to do, NOTE ME (IÂd also like to see some pictures with a background drawn by you. Link some in the note, pls!)
IÂm doing this anyway, but itÂd be SUPER AWESOME if someone wanted to join me !

aaaaaaghhnnnghh i'm going insane. it's been too long since i've read one piece, for example, because those retards who are translating it aren't translating it anymore ! or that's how it seems to be ! DD: and i liked those silly finnish slang translations so much, i did 8__8 so. suppose i should start reading it in english from teh internets so i can have my comic satisfaction again... OP is prolly the only comic that makes me feel. you know? cry, laugh out loud, feel anger and disgust and empathy. dammmmmn.

i'm doing commissions for 5-10 euros (10-15 dollars, little less), line-art traditionally and simple colouring digitally, so the commission includes no shipping. you'll recieve the picture only in internets, for at start at least.
H'ANYWAY. What I'm offering is something like this:

one character is done for 5 euros, if you want more (2 to 5 characters and 5 is absolutely the max.) characters, it'll be 10 euros (so choose more than just 1, heh heh )
oh and of course you may print the commission for yourself if you like it on your wall or something !

The end of the book (the last 300 pages) was good, though.

I've been busy so that's why I'm sorry I've been inactive again; not uploading anything and haven't even written journals. OR commented your awesome works, I have ~300 deviations waiting AGAIN.

and some special greetings to ~tinakirurgi and ~MiSmAtChEd I'm working on your commissions. ~tinakirurgi's work is missing only few finishing touches, so I'll prolly send you a note of the picture tomorrow and then we settle things up. In the other hand ~MiSmAtChEd, I'll start working on the colouring of your commissions asap as my exam week is over, because now I have to read read and read (prolly I will colour it a little during the week too... because... I'm not good at prepearing to exams, heh.)
(+ ~onnenruikku same thing for you, I'll finish our trade when the exam week is over. I PROMISE.)
So why am I busy? I'm working. Yes, I'm working in a supermarket and I'm a cashier. It's a nice job and I get 7,4 euros / hour. Not bad. I haven't left the school, so I might wake up at 6:30 am, go to school and it may end at 4:00 pm. Then I'll go to work and I'll get out of there at 9:00 pm. I'll be at home at 9:30pm and if that's the case, I'm exhausted. Plus I have to do some schoolwork and meet friends and drawing haven't been the number one thing for me for a while now.

Some illustrating coming up ! I'm illustrating our fantasy project and my boyfriend's dragon creatures for example. You'll see when I finish them. Yupp.
(plus I'll start working on a book, which will contain the creatures of my own world, Astria. I might do few extra books traditionally and sell them when they're finished. Dunno. If someone's interested.)

i just finished playing Final Fantasy XII. and i was kinda disappointed because of the ending, bleh. once i realized that the undying vayne was the final boss and that the game ends after i beat his ugly ass, i went all "AKJGDASDASDASD" because.... i still had some hunts to slay and some sky pirate's den's to get and and ! oh well. balthier is the sexiest mmmmmmmm "Fran, please" comment made me orgasm many times.
so my best characters were at level 55 and the worst at 54, not bad. but too easy final boss for my taste. i usually lose my nerves fighting ff's final bosses, but... well, maybe it was because of the levels.

next, kingdom hearts two ! (but first, i'll play the ff xii end again so i CAN slay the hunts and so on.. ke ke ke)

I don't really have strenght to draw or photograph or do anything. I have so much stuff to do @ school and it makes me go NUTS.
I'll try to finish (actually start) the pieces I've promised to do that are in the to-do list. Exam week doesn't help either, it's coming. Lucky me I have only two exams; english and psychology.

Anyway, do you guys know any good art challenges? Because I'd like to do one. Maybe it could help me to draw or something. Thx.

I need to draw a christmas card for my school, because my school sends every year christmas card made by a student to... other schools, I guess? Anyway, this year it's my job, because there were no art classes going on but the art diploma-class, but they're too busy with their diplomas, so my art's teacher came to ask me if I could do it. "Ohh I knew I could trust you!" ..yeah, sure.
PLUS, I need to do invitation cards to the ball we're having at school, just for the second year students. We'll dance waltz and rock and whatever. I'm gonna wear this.
I'm not sure if I'm going to do each of them (the cards, I mean), one by one, traditionally, which would look more awesome, or if I'm going to do one/two example cards and then we will just copy many versions of them at school. The last option is cheaper, but if school wants to pay for the material so I can make the cards one by one, then I'm okay with it. (though if that's how it'll be done, I need to make ~100 unique cards.. errr)
PLUS PLUS, I'm going to take part to school's lunch room's competition, where you need to think a new name for the lunch room and draw a sign for it too with the new name on it. I'M FULL OF SCHOOL WORK. AGH. LetÃ¤'s not forget that the examination week is going on again. NextSo I don't have time to do my own stuff. Baaaad.
