Run visions of commissions and monetary gain...

In lieu of external pressures and the desire to avoid performing manual labor this upcoming year, I have finally gotten my act together and decided to start taking commissions. Below, you will find all the information necessary to procure a piece of original artwork for yourself or a loved one.

Important Information:

To order a commission, follow these simple steps:
1. Send a note to me in the format of the form provided at the bottom of this journal entry
2. I'll respond to your note with a confirmation of the projected price
3. Time to complete a commission varies based upon the piece; once completed, I'll send you a low-res thumbnail of the finished art
4. You send the agreed upon payment to me via Paypal
5. I send you the full-res, high-quality final image via deviantART note

Let it be known that I reserve the right to turn down any commission based upon my personal judgment and whether or not I feel comfortable drawing your particular request.

Commissions are made on a first-come, first-serve basis, with a limit of five requests pending at a given time. Current commission statuses and open slots (if they exist) can be seen at the bottom of this journal entry. When a slot opens up, the first new note I receive will have the first opportunity to take that slot.

Make sure to send a note rather than post a comment when ordering a commission.

When I first started Deviant Art I never imagined that my art would hit it this big, (guess I have to give some cred to the whole Ben 10 shebang) but low and behold it has come to pass. Thank you so much to everyone out there who have been watchers and favoriteers of my art! You guys are the proverbial bombs!

---CONTEST---
Anywho, I digress. In honor of this momentous occasion, I am hosting my second ever drawing contest! Instead of Ben 10, the drawing contest will be to see who can create the best SUPERHERO. I call this contest, BEN MACKEY PRESENTS: THE FIRST ANNUAL KJMARCH SUPERHERO CREATION CONTEST! (A subsidiary of Firstartman Enterprises)

INFO:
-GOAL: Your goal is to make a new and exciting superhero (or if you are feeling dastardly, a supervillains)! Create a character, give him or her some fantastic new powers and background, and submit your creation to the contest. Who knows, yours just might be chosen to be the best new superhero!

-JUDGING: Like last time, my sister, some friends, and I will be the judges. And no worries, everyone will be judged as if I did not know them. I promise that previous Deviant friendships will be abolished for the duration of this contest.

-CRITERIA: The superhero will be judged on a ten point scale. Factors such as originality, creativity, and costume design will come into play. Skill is NOT a deciding factor, but it can sometimes help you express your character concept

- The deadline for the contest will be Friday, April 17, thunless otherwise stated. Simply send me a note entitled Superhero Creation Contest Entry with a link to you pic. Otherwise, your entry might not get judged. One entry per person. Edits are allowed, but must be substantial. Most importantly, have fun!!! I look forward to seeing some sweet and original superheroes!

So far, the cape gloves, and utility belt have been completed, but there is still the hood and brown underwear to be completed. I have been utilizing the finest of materials: $2 fleece blankets from walmart, colored duct tape, and of course some delightful long underwear. Upon completion, expect some photos to be posted of me in my geeky glory. This movie has me amped!

Secondly, I have recently made a change in living accommodations (aka I moved). My new house pretty much rocks. Plenty of room for a flat screen and lots of video games in the basement. Not to mention, a giant Halo 3 logo on the basement floor. But with this move, I have currently lost the scanning capability. Expect to see some more pics later this week. Also, my school has finished it's first semester. What does this mean? More free time and more DRAWING!

Lastly, I have decided to host my own BEN 10 ALIEN CREATION CONTEST I, along with my sister will be the judges. And don't worry, everyone will be graded the same. I promise to abolish all former friendships and biases. First timers and long-standing watchers, will all be the same in my eyes. I will also be asking some friends of mine there opinions. Judging criteria will be as followed

CREATIVITY (Is it interesting to look at? Will it jump off the screen?)
ORIGINALITY (Is it something new and not just a recolored Fourarms?)
DESIGN (Is this alien going to be able to function? Are the colors gaudy and un-ben 10?)
And don't worry, skill will not be a deciding factor in the picking of a winner.
