I highly suggest that you give it a good read and also take in the comments which are posted on the article itself. It's a very interesting read and one which I find relates directly to DA. I know that many times this is a topic of conversation and one which I have always thought about.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Thought that I would write something real fast and give you guys an idea for the next time you are out shooting!<br /><br />Now, with that being said and out of the way, I have a little photo tip for you all and hopefully this will throw some ideas into your head. one of the things which I love to do is use a very long lens to study the landscape. Think 300mm and longer here. Of course this requires a tripod to really get a sharp shot and usually fstops at around f16. This though opens up a whole new world to you and your images.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ :bulletred: I stumbled upon this tutorial yesterday and thought that some of you may be interested in this. I haven't tried this myself but it does look rather interesting. The only ND filters I own are two ND8's though I have wanted a ND400 for awhile now and probably will get one shortly. I am rather impressed with the end results of this tutorial and considering how much something like a Lee Big Stopper filter costs, it would seem that this is a viable alternative. In a way the workflow is similar to a HDR workflow involving several images but that is about where that comparison ends.  I am VERY curious though and will have to try this out ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Fall is finally starting to wind down some and for this photographer it has been my most successful Autumn to date. Over 20,000 images taken and finally a little downtime. I have been going like a madman for over a month now. I spent most of my time in the northern and central Colorado Rockies, held a photo meetup over 2 weekends in Rocky Mountain National Park and shot up there for almost 2 weeks straight. Traversed in rural areas of Park, Summit, Gilpin, Teller, Boulder, Larimer and Clear Creek counties seeking out unseen and undiscovered photo subject matter and am now just starting to wrap up photographing our state parks.  It my friends  ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ You know what someone should do?<br />Create a running list of groups which are nothing short of assholes. <br />I recently has the "pleasure" of running into 2 such groups ran by the same person which were "animal based" groups, who apparently thinks that they are all that when it comes to wildlife photography. Yeah...because you take a few snapshots of a badly composed Bald Eagle in a zoo along with poorly lit photos of your cat, you suddenly think you are the be all and and all when it comes to photographing animals in the wild. Needless to say they got schooled.<br /><br />This is one of the biggest problems with DA, you have kids running around here think ]]></media:text>

I spent it at Chatfield State Park spreading out the ashes of Klaus at his favorite spot. The spot he loved so much and always looked forward to going to, to lay in the grass and cool down in the evening and to enjoy the cool morning dew of sunrise. I am not going to lie, it was tough doing this and at the same time I felt a little better knowing that he is now finally free. I did the right thing though as his health took a turn for the worst last week. It was time. <br />Right now I have a huge hole in my heart and I miss him more than I can ever possibly say in words. He is in very bad shape....right now my heart and head are weighing very heavily. He has been the best friend I have ever had and has been through so much with me. There comes a time though when we have to let go and to kiss and release and I think that time very well could be at hand. He is very ill. In fact why is it impossible anywhere on DA in the prints management area to see what earnings I had within a quarter at all period? <br />I can see past earnings what I have sold, but I'll be damned if I can see what I have as far as a current balance. <br />Ummm....  "hi, you just sold something but we aren't going to tell you how much you have made outside of message center notifications" ??<br />Am I totally missing something here or I am correct?<br />It amazes me how completely disorganized DA  ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ The Subject-- You know, it's kind of funny when I look at this shot....this Fall I really tried hard to do something which I said I would do for several years now but never really followed through with it because I was so entirely to caught up in the moment and excitement with everything; to study the textures and patterns within nature. I came away with a few shots that are certainly keepers. (this of course being one of those)<br /><br />It is amazing what we can see when we study the subject and look for negative spaces. The answer to that question is yes, and over the next couple of weeks I will be uploading a lot of photos for that very purpose.<br /><br />* Final Fall photo count of photographs shot? 12,029. In the coming weeks I am planning out another Fall photo meetup for local Coloradoans at Fairmount Cemetery for Fall color. I love that place and it is going to be a blast! That being said....<br /><br />The last few weeks have been utterly insane. Our annual Fall meetup was fun, had a great time and met a LOT of new people from G+ who joined us. (I'm dating myself here) Back in the 70s through early 80s there used to be these sheets of paper that had stickers on them, they were like 2 inches by 1 inch...3 across, 10 down...all in rows. You would insert these in to a typewriter to type on as they were used for label ]]></media:text>
