What is it to be popular on DA? I mean I'm fine being the common artist, I don't think I can keep up with the comments.Also my artwork isn't up to par, DUR. But what does 'opular' truly mean?

All my years on DA and all I've all I've seen are typical art on deviants popular. I've run into artist that draw or take photos in an AMAZING manor! Yet only have 1,000 page views.
Well, long ago I created a picture, It was princess peach and by God it was very ugly, and yet, I've received comments and favs... on art of a character that doesn't belong to me. So the question is. Do they like my art? Or the person I draw?

Lately, I've seen a lot of Kingdom hearts, Emo, sailor moon, and Naruto on the popular. Why spend so much time perfecting ones art that's already perfected?
Once in a while I find a picture on DA's front page and I am TRULY With out a doubt amazed! But then I see fan art, and I'm say " Blah, seen it all before" To become popular.... I must draw someone elses art? I'm not saying that all popular art are fan art. I've seen some gorgeous photography and drawings. But if I'm on popular because of fans of shows that I didn't create....is it worth being on popular?


So I know your art doesn't have to be good-- but does it depend on what or who I draw?

How do you feel about popular?

2.OC WEEK!
Thats right, this week starting today Sun Sept 21 ,08 all the way to Sat sept 27, 08 is OC week!

"What's Oc week?"
Oc week is a week for your original characters. You've worked hard making them so now its times to appreciate them.
Oc, as many of you may know means " ORIGINAL CHARACTER" That means, No kingdom hearts, no FF, no dbz, no cookie monster, no POKEMON and NO zelda wind wakers! Lets see some straight out original characters people!

" How do we celebrate oc week?"
Well me and my friends are pairing up and drawing each others OCS. How fun is that!? Seeing your oc in alot of different art styles!


3. Now when I post up a journal its normaly something I would want you to read. I won't make journals about my day because in reality, who the f@#k cares about my day!? I am definitely one who can care less about your day <3.
I'm being perfectly honest, I'm not phased by the emo days some people had because it just....wasnt my day.

Artist Comments: Very good! Improved! greeeaaatly from the first one. I like the whole tight suit thing. Makes him look like a laid back spy because of the open neck part, interesting. Going to have to take out the red stitched x's because it makes it look identical to sealconflex's suit and they dont know each other at ALL. Also remember the shoes would have to match his coat.

I need help designing the clothing for icurus! !
Please help me make something fit for him. I have a coat of course so I can have pics with out the looong coat. But I need clothing for under his coat <3. Who ever can help me design the best clothing get a chibi line art from yours truely.

I was in Photoshop class today and I got up to use the bathroom. I came back shortly after and the folder with all my hard work was missing. Yes completely deleted. I felt like crying in the train today. I didn't know who did it. I tried putting everything together on the train, put some clues together. I now know it was my teacher. He didnt want to tell me because he thought I'd hate him forever. I know it was him because no one would delete my stuff and Everything on the computer was gone but Sarah's art folder. My work was in Klydekiss' art folder. I guess he didnt know who that was and deleted it thinking it was a student of his from last year. Im not...really mad at him but I REALLY wished he'd ask before running around deleting EVERYTHING! Ugh, I wonder could this day get anyworse.
