well... for the past couple of days, I've been driving to work. It was an interesting job...which I didn't move at all expect for my fingers on a nasty keyboard. It was just dirta and filthy from the previous user. No one really talked to me either except for the other temp. Not even my supervisor talked to me. I finished my work as best as I could and had to wait for another task. No internet either. I ate lunch all by myself too.

Other than that, I just came back for a Bond concert. Their first American tour...hehe...I didn't get a chance to see them when they were in Korea. Twice....and a third tour there very soon. Oh well. I got a poster, their first, and "third" c.d.s signed. Audrey got a t-shirt signed. We were about 10 feet away from them during the concert. I had to drive 2 hours from work to get to the place. They had a guy open for them by the name of Joshua Payne. I've never heard of him.

The commute to work is killer. I called the temp agency to ask for a different assignment so that I wouldn't be getting up at 5 a.m. and try to get there by 8. It's not a fun drive. Did I mention that I was really bored at the job as well. I just sat there, punching keys into a database. They could have at least as me to use the copy machine to get away from the desk. I was sitting under two air vents. I was freezing. Very bad. My temp agent said that I don't have to show up tomorrow. I just have to get my paperwork filled out and get paid for that job assignment. I would have liked to worked in the warehouse, there I would have moved around.

Deviant Art and I in some strange way share the same birthday.

My pre-birthday celebration went like this: I had to pick up a friend but he wasn't ready. We were running late. I had set a 4 o'clock departure. Traffic was horrible. The other car was too slow in following me. I had tickets for a 6 o'clock seating for 7 at Medieval Times. We were crowned as we went inside. My friends wanted to embrass meIt was a neat experience. Beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer....BEER! Okey, I was the only one drinking. Just one beer though. We were cheering for the Blue Knight. However, he was defeated in the end. After coming back (traffic was bad as well), we went to IHOP. Across from us was a group of clowns. Very strange.

Actual birthday celebration consisted of lunch, movie (Bourne Supremacy), and dinner at a Korean Resturnant. It was good. Still stuffed.

Wondering what's with the title of my journal entry?

My birthday is around the corner. It's too bad nobody celebrates this number. I don't tend to celebrate my birthday cause there's no one around during my birthday. It blows having a birthday in August because it's at the end of the summer and right before the start of the school year. I can remember when I was little and the teacher would mark on the calender who's birthday is during the year...my tended not to be posted. They would celebrate the summer birthdays (June and July) and they forget August. While other kids had those large parties...mine consisted of vacation bible school kids (enough said). I remember one time I had to register for school on my birthday and none of my friends were there. I've grown accustomed to not celebrating it. I think my folks want me to be happy on that day...but who can? They made the effort of buying me 2 birthday cakes: I don't eat cake. This year is going to be somewhat different. I'm going out to a cheesy dinner and show. Can you guess where I'm going? After this birthday, I'm just taking the day off and do something that I want to do...sleep and hide from my friends.

The job hunt is going well actually. However, not well enough for the folks. Oh well. I'll update when I get the chance.

Well...I'm not having any luck in finding a job. A few people have mention to me that I should do some commissioned art. At first I was like "Who would want to buy my art?" and "Is my art worthy to be bought?" But after being encouraged and bugged to no end, I'll consider it.

Drawings:
Sketch: $10 (a little more if you want something complex)
Standard B&W drawing: 8X11/A4-$10 (a little more if you want something complex i.e. background, details, and such)
Anything Larger than 8X11 or A4 size, has to be discussed.

*If you really want a colored drawing...I might. But there are no guarantees that it'll turn out well. But if you insist and want to pay a little extra, I'm just warning you.
Well, let me think. I got published in Apathy. It's the undergraduate lit mag at my school. Click on the current issue. [link] Note that there is a huge typo on the site: "Whitman" is suppose to be "Whitham".

Well...I finally got some things posted: four photos and a poem. yay!

I finished reading a book for one of my classes this morning and had to show my reading journal. I'm kind of put back that I have to do a book report of sorts in college. The book is "Breakfast at the Victory: The Mysticism of Ordinary Experience" by James P. Carse. This is one book that I enjoyed reading. I would recommend it.

I'm behind in my Drawing 2 course. I'm kind of put off by the fact that I have to do a series of self portraits: some of them have to be nude. One of my assignments is to take a role, and another is to make a college...now we're doing color. Pastels... I despise them. Oh well...I got to do it because my other drawing course wants me to use them as well.

The first time, I was like whoa this woman's out of her mind. I didn't take in what my teacher was trying say the first time. It went straight over my head. This time, I think I got most of it down.

One of my professor's was going around the room and looking at our drawings. He was showing us how to use the blending stump properly. When he came up to my area, he took my blending stump, did a double take look at it. He said, "Have you been chewing on it?"

I said nope. After that comment, he went around the room with it and said that this isn't the way to use it. Making an example out of it, he came back to me and waved it in front of my face. He asked me who made me abuse the stump.

I had to admit it was my other professor. He said, "Ah ha! I knew it!" My professor took the blending stump into his hands and broke it in half. My jaw dropped. He went to the trash can and came back with one of his.

"Well, here's mine since I broke yours. And you better not abuse it, too." He laughed and went on to another person's drawing.

Moral of the story: I got a $250 blending stump.
