Sakura-con came and went and It was pretty awesome... been laying low since then. I'm attending Cos & Effect on 13-14 of August, a small local con that is trying to fill the gap that unexplained death of Anime Evolution has caused. If you're in the area, check it out - it should be pretty mellow and fun :D :devkenshiro-fdp: and :devweatherstone: are running FFFT too, so if you've never played here's a good chance. We'll probably be cosplaying DBZ's Androids and Macross F girls, but no promises ;)

A little bit more chaotic than last year due to growth and being on two floors instead of one. Chaotic yet chill... I love Aki-con to death - lazying in our room, in the lobby, in the pool, in the restaurant with Katie :heart:, at dealers... Cosplay happened, notably our Arcobaleno cosplay group on Saturday. I also wore my Mokona kigurumi on Friday and at times on Saturday since it was the most comfortable garment I had to go down to the pool with (it's practically a bathrobe). Steamcon... We had no idea what to expect and ended up having the time of our lives (and I owe it all to youuuuuu) :heart:

Airport Marriot in Seattle was the perfect location for the con with it's antique look and central atrium, people were polite, older with fabulous and original costumes, mood sophisticated and panels interesting. Food was good though service was slooow, but with good company one couldn't really complain.

Kei-kon went, and much fun was had. Met up with Panda and WA folks, and Vancouver Island natives. Much better than last year in my opinion, it felt a lot more like a con than a meetup and it's such a shame it looks like it'll be the last Kei-kon... I hope someone steps up and does more cons in Victoria.

My biological family is back in Finland so family Christmas for me means spending it with my cosplay familia... our Christmas party was last Saturday and you've by now seen some of the photos from that. I loved it, undoubtedly the best con experience this year.

Because I couldn't take time off work I wasn't traveling with the rest of the group - I arrived by plane on Thursday evening, had a pedicure at the airport and slept for full 10 hours in a very comfortable bed. For once I didn't have to take care of anyone, arrange anything, be anyone's mom, drive people anywhere, feed anyone... just one big (gay) holiday for kolibri.

I'm at home, maybe suffering a bit from post-con blues... it was a very different con for me in many ways. I had cosplays planned for all days, and I made the decision to leave my big camera at home. Yeah, I regretted that...

On Friday I was cosplaying Orochimaru which would have made any camera use just impossible anyway.
