I also love Zhang He, Jiang Wei, Zhao Yun and Zhou Yu. Someone once asked me if I had to side with one kingdom, which one would it be. I answered Wei. Because if dialects and regions existed back then, Cao Cao and I could actually communicate. Anyone from the South or Southeast is out of the question. Zhou Yu would be speaking in some dialect I fail to understand. Same for Zhao Yun.

I haven't had a cold like this in ages: gross runny nose, sore throat, insane coughing, dizziness, fatigue...

The last time I had a cold I think it lasted like three days (sore throat that eventually went away). God, even my sensei today was worried about me. I felt so bad.

Funny thing is, he gave me mouth gargling solution and told me to go to the bathroom to do it, but then some other teachers followed me and I was too embarrassed to do it in front of them, so I ended up just rinsing my mouth with it.

For those of you who don't know, I was born in a city where the coldest temperatures in the winter would be about 50°F (that's about 11°C, I think). What beautiful place is that? Los Angeles. Yet here in Kyoto it's already 2°C at night, and during the day temperatures don't go beyond 13°C. And it's only the end of November.

I have to live with temperatures about 5°-10°C colder than this next month until next February.
