Since I'm sick and have a lot of free time (between my computer and bed mostly) I decided to update this journal a bit.

So I have been photographing few nights at few clubs where my friends have been playing records.
And since it has been 2 first times ever doing something like that I'm quite satisfied with the results.

Some other things, I ordered a Holga 120N which should arrive in few days time and I bought a Rolleicord Va (type 1) [link]
and can't wait for it to reach me, so I can start playing around with it.

My new appartment should be ready in the end of February so it's going to be a great b-day present for me.

And most of all: can't wait for christmas with all the great FOOD.

It's been a while and a lot have happened. Last friday I bought a apartment with my girlfriend shame that it's going to take a while before it is built. but anyway I'll be leaving to Sisily Italy this thursday for 10 days of relaxing, drinking, diving, EATING, and photography! My spirit so high it could be flying.

I also decided to skip school wich I was supposed to start this fall and I'll stay at work for atleast few more years... maybe go to a photography school someday or not.. only time will tell.

It's going to be autumn soon and I can't wait to take photos of coloured leaves on the trees and stuff since I wasn't home last fall I got high hopes for this years..

Last weekend I spent with my girlfriend in our summer cottage and got some pictures I really liked and ended up putting here.

Yesterday I bought a new 26" lcd screen to go along with my "old" 20" and a new 40" tv.

I love the new monitor but I don't have enough space for my new tv untill I find a new appartment wich I should have done allready but I hope everything ends up ok.

That's what's taking most of my time atm so not much time for photography and DA... it's a real shame but I have to work as much as I can since I'm starting my studies this fall and I'm hoping that I will have more time for da and my cam..

So I've been home now for a week and a half or so.
The trip itself was amazing I really do need to get back to Lake Toba someday it is sooooo beautiful!!!

Last 3 days of the trip I was really sick just when we where travelling back from indonesia to singapore... ...sleeping in the airports and stuff...
so when we made it back to Finland my girlfriend drove me strait to hospital where they put me on a drip.
But now I'm all well and just started to go through the pics I took on the trip and going to upload few in here in near future (first 2 allready done). I never take enough pics but this trip was just a short holiday so I think I can manage...

Now I should just work too much to get some money together since I'm starting my studies this fall so I will need the money...

and I need to find a new apartment soon...

I finally have it.
Ok I got it a week ago but since I've been besy with everything I haven't got the time to to try it out or anything.

So tomorrow I have a day off work so if the weather is nice enough I'm going to get out with my brand new 5Dmk2 and 24-105 f/4L and my new manfrotto 190XPROB tripod and hopefully get some test results of the new setup.

First impressions of the cam was: now I know what a decent camera feels like. I love it allready, but we'll see what kind of pics I can get out of the baby.


Some other things:

Just 3 more weeks and I'm off to Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and I'm anxious about going to Lake Toba Indonesian Sumatra... If you don't know why try to search some pictures of lake toba here in DA and you should know why.

I'm trying to be a bit more active with photography and DA and everything else in my life...


I'm back at work and don't have that much time, but still trying to make the best of it.
So you can expect some new stuff from me in the near future and hopefully for a long time.
Some other stuff: I'm going to buy a Canon EOS 5D mark II + 24-105 f/4L sometime soon and I'm going to Singapore, Malesia and Indonesia in a few months and this time I'm going to take a lot of pics (atleast trying to), It will only be three weeks but we'll see what I can get out of it...

It was one hell of a trip. Even though I just stayed at one place the whole 3 months I didn't have much time to take pictures or visit DA or anything else, just diving diving diving drinking and stuff, but anyway it was the best. I did work as a dive master and that took most of my time in between enjoying the island.

So back home now and it's freeking miserable. Cold dark amd depressing. I just started to look for flights to New York so I can buy the new 5D mk2 alot cheaper than in here and also flights back to Thailand to get back to Tao and diving again.

I'll post some pictures from the trip in a minute or so. Took only 300 pics in 3 months and now it feels like I wasted a opportunity for atleast thousand amazing pictures, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Oh yeah some good things about being back home: Fallout3, anime, MUSIC with my own soundsystem and FAST working internet connection.

It has been some hell of a holiday and it's just the beginning.
Tomorrow I'm leaving to Thailand and I'm going to spend there 3 months doing some scuba diving and photography.

It has been a bit hectic in Bangkok since there has been some major protest against the prime minister (which are still on) so I hope to get some photos of the protesters and the military personnel.

So I won't be so active around DA not that I have done anything here in a long time, but I hope it will change when I get back home.

70 days and I'm going to Koh Tao Thailand again \o/
It's going to be 3 months of diving, good food, good beer beautiful scenery, hopefully some great pics and most of all relaxing and hanging in a hammock.
It has been a bit hektic with work and all so I just can't wait to get away from the rat race, some time with my cam.


I been thinking of buying a new cam but just can't make my mind on wich one and that should I buy some really good lens with it.

So few months ago I was supposed to concetrate on DA and photography but just yesteday was the first time to grab my camera and do something with it in ½ a year.

Currently working on a shitty job and collecting some money for a year long around the world trip starting next autumn.

So now would be a great time to straighten up, stop drinking on daily basis and honestly start with photography and maybe even consider applying to college but we'll see.

This week was a shitty one in army... we were crosscountry skiing in the midle of forest with these "planks" on our feet for about 25km and spent the night sleeping in front of a fire and it was about -28 degrees celcius and windy...

Clad that next week we get to spend the whole week in forest...
