I friggin' hope so, guys. Those were THE best Pokemon games. The music was absolutely godly. I could care less about how they do the graphics, they just need to update all that beautiful, beautiful Pokemon midi music.

Been having a rough time here personal life-wise. I think selling old games coupled with art isn't a bad idea. Harvest Moon Cute wasn't that old though... Hm.

If anyone wants to see anything else up for sale (suggestions for new drawings, old art in my gallery) just let me know. I realized that I'd draw just about anything for money except scat and gore. If someone throws money at me and asks for vore I'd be like, "Comin' right up." I blame the internet for destroying any values I had left.

Apparently if you feed a baby under about one year of age too much water (as in, besides the water thats mixed with a powdered formula) they die. Baby bodies can't handle water and they become over waterized and keel.

I am twenty years old. I feel strange not being a teenager any more. I took my mom to a doctor's appointment and while I was out of the room the nurse told my mom I look fifteen or sixteen. That made me feel a little better. Hopefully I can keep that up so when I'm thirty people will think I'm only twenty-five or so. I guess it doesn't matter much after thirty. It just all blends together after a certain age. I can't stand women who are OBVIOUSLY old enough to be your mom or grandmom and tell you they're twenty-nine.

Not drawing much. Boyfriend is in town and I still haven't had a summer off from school in two years.

My computer, my little Sony Vaio died a little while ago. She was only one and a half years old! ONE AND A HALF! I'm tryin' to send her off to get her fixed, but the prepaid shipping box they're sending to me is like... a week late. Wtf. So there she sits... Behind me on the floor.

The only other computer in the house is a five year old Dell clunker that can't run two things at once without freezing. At least I can use the internet.

However, there will be no drawing updates or fun of any sort until the laptop is fixed. My updates aren't very often, but at least I have an excuse now. I did draw a rad little Bulbasaur girl face on the back of some college stuff, though. It's a shame I can't scan her because she would be a blast to color. OH WELL.

"Artist Finds That Snow Is Cold"

I visited South Dakota for New Year's and got to experience snow. It was pretty darn exciting considering I've lived in a snowless state for almost my entire life. I had no idea that snow was powdery when it first came down. It almost wasn't cold to the touch. And man, when you walk through it... Minus the fact that your shoes will get very cold and wet... it makes an AWESOME "crunch" sound.

"Grunch, grunch, grunch, grunch."

Plus there were lots of drunks for New Year's. Wow. This one fat lady in an all you can eat crab and prime rib buffet hobbled back to her table with a plate literally piled a foot high (not kiddin' you here) with prime rib. Then she ran in to a wall trying to set it down. I have one word for that.

INTENSE.

Thats what South Dakota is. Whether it's by intense suck, or intense cold, it's an intense state.

"Deer Dodge, Hunters Upset Again"

Damn deer. Didn't even see one this year. It's not like last year where we saw a buncha babies and ones you don't wanna shoot-- I mean... WE SAW NOTHIN'. Apparently they were moving midday, which is pretty unusual. One neat thing was though, one of the lodge owners went hunting around noon and the forest just EXPLODED into noise. She said there were deer fighting in front of her and behind her so all she heard was the most intense horn-crashin, body-slammin' action ever. Too bad I was sick that day. The other lodge owner had the flu and I guess my body decided to pick it up and take it back to Florida with me. We got back Sunday night and I didn't show flu symptoms until this morning (Tuesday). I thought that was weird that it would wait that long to hit me. Oh well, I'm here, enjoying the view which is... much more porcelain than I ever wanted to see.

"Movies Push Defect Acceptance"

WARNING: This entry contains opinions that probably will offend you. Please don't leave the author an angry reply. If this bothers you, leave my page and rant about it elsewhere. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Man, I bought a Tamagotchi when they first came out. Waaaayy back in 1997, it was my first "major" (major as in twenty bucks) purchase seeing as I was only about nine years old. I recently found it, pried open it's back, and put new batteries in it. So now I've got this bright yellow screeching hunk of plastic dangling from my neck. Whuzaap? Who's cool now? OH MAN. It just evolved... into... a fried egg!! SWEET.

ANYWAY, onto the meat of this journal. I've noticed something. Let's think about animals. If one is born with a defect, the other animals will usually leave it to die, or... if the parents are caring, they'll protect the baby until another animal comes along, singles it out because of it's defect, and kills it. It's called "survival of the fittest", and it ensures that the weak or defected creature doesn't breed, and therefore continue the pattern of faulty organisms. In the wild: Birth Defect = Death.

Now, think of humans! For example, SPARTAAAANNNSS!. What would happen if a baby SPARTAAANN was born with a defect? They'd kill it. End of story.

Now think of today. Humans have evolved to be a much more compassionate species than what we used to be. If a baby is born with a defect, we don't simply take it out back and kill it. We raise and nurture the baby as best we can. Therefore, seeing someone with a mental retardation or physical defect isn't an overly rare event.

The reason we have less birth defects than oh, say a couple hundred years ago, is due to our advances in science, not weeding out the weak genes. The parents who have defects themselves, or have the "bad" genes dormant in them are still producing defective offspring, and we let this continue.

Now, unlike our more barbaric ancestors/animal friends, we just accept the fact that people born with defects is a normal thing. Movies are being made that are centered on embracing defects, and accepting them. Do you know which ones come to mind? Two recent animations aimed at children. "Finding Nemo" and "Happy Feet".

"Finding Nemo" was all about a single survivor of a clutch of fish eggs. Since his egg was damaged, the newly hatched fish had a deformed fin that he called his "special fin".

"Happy Feet" was about a baby penguin who was born with a slight stutter and a pair of twitchy, spasming feet. How did this happen? His father dropped his egg out onto the cold ice for a minute or so, thereby damaging the unborn chick.

Both of these movies have happy endings where everyone accepts the two critters and everyone lives happily ever after.

... Let me tell you something, Nemo would have been eaten in a heartbeat due to that small, worthless fin of his. And Mumble (the twitchy penguin) probably would have been abandoned by his group, been an easy target for predators, or not been able to catch food effectively.

D'aww... My little birdie is fallin' asleep on my mouse pad... It's so goshdang adorable. He's so cute when he's not screeching his head off. D'ooooohhhh....... How cute.

ANYWAY, Megacon 2007, right right. Suprisingly, I saw alot of people I didn't want to see... and then I saw alot of people who I DID want to see... So I guess it was a fair trade.

Let me just get this out of the way... I was walking around with these two: Nelson and Charles .... So you imagine the fun... of being escorted around by two ..mexicans....

Anyway, those two were all fired up to see Kevin Sorbo because... I dunno... they're weird. So we get in early to see Mr. Sorbo... And while in line waiting for him to show, they won't shut up about how he's going to enter. Now, secretly, I could care less about seeing Kevin Sorbo... Who I was interested in seeing was.. Sean Astin.... THE Sean Astin... You know who I'm refering to yet? Let's try....

SAM FROM LORD OF THE RINGS, GOSHDANGIT. Yes, Sam... Pohtaytoes Sam. THIS Sam: [link]

I did not get to talk to him, nor did I get a picture... or an autograph... Because I'm stupid. HOWEVER, I did get to see him walk by. I was within twenty feet of him, and that's closer than most everyone else has been. So for this, I am grateful. Maybe next year they'll get Frodo... Oh Frodo... Ohohoho...

Anyway, remember the two guys I was pallin' around with? There was a tattoo artist at this convention, and by God, they both got tattoos. Crazy boys.

I also got to see , but sadly, I didn't get to spend much time with him. He got a picture of us together, though, so as soon as he get's that to me, I'll be a happy camper. Oh, and aparently, he got to urinate (or watch him urinate, I can't remember) while standing next to Sean Astin. Now if I was a guy, that would make me really excited in a non-gay way, but since I'm a girl, that... I had a point, I just forget it.

I didn't buy anything, but I did find a cute statuette of Lilith from Darkstalkers... It was too expensive, though, so I passed on that. I need to learn how to splurge, but not having a job makes me such a penny-pincher.

"Krazed Driver Survives Crash"

Well, how to start this... Hmm... I'll start it with this picture that I've already posted on myspace:

I can't even look at that picture for too long because it just makes me so angry. Yes, that was my car, yes I was the driver (and only passenger).

I was going to head over to Charles' house because he was going to take me to the gym. I do... have pretty flubby arms. ANYWAY, so I finally got everything I needed to do out of the way, and I told Charles via IM that I was on my way-- and the ironic thing is, we exchanged a joke about my poor driving... Yar, anyway.

So I head out. I'm going around a curvy two-lane back road that's by a river (two lanes as in, my lane and the opposing lane). As I round the last curve, my car starts to slide. Now, my tires are notorious for spinning out. I just have awful traction on those suckers. Also, the roads were slick, and I was going ten miles over the speed limit. So I'm like, "Crap, if I'm sliding anywhere, it's going to be into the damn grass or a tree."

Yes, I illustrated it. I'm an artist, it's what I do. Besides, it made me feel better for some strange reason. Red box with a K is me, the white box is the mini-van.

Anyway, so I start to break lightly and turn the wheel as to aim my car towards the grass/fence to my right. But since my tires aren't the best, and the road was indeed wet, my car instead of turning (or regaining traction) kept going straight. My tires didn't respond to my turning, and as you can imagine, if you go straight on a curve, you eventually cross into the opposing lane.

SO THAT HAPPENED. I slid right into a white mini-van. But it all happened so lighting fast, that I don't remember seeing what I hit. All I felt was that impact, and even then, it was over pretty darn fast. I ended up basically where the mini-van orginally was, facing the opposite direction than I was originally going. The mini-van went off into the grass and stopped there.

So I see what happened, and I look around my car, examining the damage. To put it lightly, my car was frucked. So I unbuckle myself and try to get out my door, but it doesn't budge. I even kick it, but it's stuck. I pull myself through to the other side and get out the passenger side. My legs were suprisingly weak, so I kinda catch myself on the open door, and as I hang there, I look up. I hear screaming. Then I saw them. Tons of small, screaming Muslim kids pour out of the van.

I HAD TO HIT A MINI-VAN FULL OF CHILDREN.

So, then comes the boring part. Cops show up, people jump out of their cars and ... run over to the kids. Once they noticed that I wasn't decapitated, they all ran over to the damn kids. Two nice people kinda stayed by me for a few minutes. A man and a woman. The woman informed me that the only injuries were that one boy had a bloody nose, one girl had a little cut on her forhead, and the woman who was driving hurt her arm a bit. Nothing was broken except maybe the boy's nose.
Consider the following:The two drivers (the woman in the mini-van and myself) and the man in the front passenger seat of the mini-van recieved absolutely no facial injuries. Now, note that the people in the front seat were the ones closest to the impact, and also the ones with steering wheels and glass infront of our faces. Yet.. two children in the back seat of a mini-van... had hurt faces. Some of these children weren't buckled in, methinks. That's the only way their faces could've gotten smashed.

I called people, my mom first, of course-- because EVERYONE else was already calling 911. I very calmly told my mom that I had just totalled my car and that I needed her down here. She was suprised at how level-headed and matter-of-fact I was, and my dad who found out a little later was (in his words) "proud" of me for not freaking out. I don't understand why people become hysterical-- well, if someone dies, I can see why, but other than that, there's just no need.

So my mom shows up, and helps me pull some stuff out of my car, and then we both sit back on the railing. She's like, "Does anything hurt?"
Me: "...

"Deer Dodge, Hunters Upset"

Haha, like my new webcam down 'dere? I decided to get rid of the overly, "Lookit me I'm so awesome." one and went with a, "This is really what I am, fool." version. NOW YOU KNOW. While the hula-hoop picture was being taken, I was sayin', "This is my I was gettin' some face." Unusual, yes.

I went to South Carolina, but the weather was very weird. It was still cold in the mornings, but during the day, it got hot. Like.. in the eighties hot. Deer feel this and go, "Hmm, we may be in full rut, but this weather turns me off. I think I'm only going to go out and chase other deer at NIGHT. NOT DURING HUNTING HOURS." So nobody shot anything. Except for one hick boy. He shot a friggin' huge pig. I mean... 250 pounds of big hairy boar. Everyone else though, we got stiffed. Oh well, my dad shot three last year, so I guess it all evens out.

I mean, we did see deer. Alot of button bucks and spikes-- both of which are illegal to shoot because they're too young. So alas. No meat or antlers.

My dad made me.... socialize... with the other hunters, and by socialize, I mean show them my sketch book. There were definately boobs in that sketch book, so all the men were like, "WHEEEEWWW DOGGIE! That one thur' is MY favorite!"

Moving on... I did steal a branch of cotton from someone's field and gave it to my American History professor. We're going over how cotton was a huge thing once the cotton gin was invented, so I figured I could get some brownie points. I mean, I am getting a .... not-so-good grade in there. Anything helps.

I really don't have much to say... Nothing overly exciting is going on in my noggin at the moment. Oh well. I said I'd update, and so I did.

Oh man, I just looked up my kinda updated grades. I'm good in Sociology, average in Comp, low average in Finite Math, and... not so good in American History. They sent me a warning letter because of what a low grade I have. The school informed me that I should drop the class, thus saving my GPA-- but you see, dear reader, I need to take twelve hours of classes per week in order to keep my scholarship. I am currently taking twelve hours. This means I cannot drop a class, because if I do, I will lose my scholarhip. This also means if I don't pull up my grades, my GPA will take a big hit AND I will lose my scholarship due to the low GPA.

I am in a pickle.

Oh well, on to more light-hearted matters:

I attended a lovely convention called, "Necronomicon". I was invited by Nelson, and even though the convention is heavily tied to RPing, LARPing, and sci-fi in general, I decided to go. NOT for the convention mind you, but for an opportunity to be with friends. It was Nelson, Sam, Chuckles, Joe, (please let me remember these last two guy's names correctly) Tom, and Luke. I won't bore you with too many details... Number one, because I'm typing this while in a college lecture, and number two, you probably just don't care.

First night we went, we all met and screwed around a while, mainly setting up a big ol' Lord of the Rings table-top RP game. At first I was like, "Sarah, you are a friggin' retard for coming to this con... You HATE Role Playing. Oh well, just say you'll watch, and then you won't have to play." YEAH, that didn't last very long. I was dragged into an RP. At least I got to be an elf. That game stretched and lasted over the two days I was there. I did discover one interesting thing; I love the word, "dunadane". Especially when Chuckles said it.

OH, and some goth guy wiped his ass with Nelson's face during a dancing spree. Strange, but true.

After the initial night, we all went home to Chuckle's house and slept there. Chuckle's parents are very nice people, but his dog is not. His dog, Coco, likes to jump... and bite... and scratch... and.. gnaw the flesh off my body... ANYWAY. We all slept in the living room (I got my own couch), and it was all fine and dandy until someone started snoring in the middle of the night. I think it was Nelson, but I wasn't sure. All's I know is that I woke up barely to roll over, but as I came out of unconciousness and into that semi-awake state, I definately made a loud snort/cough/inhaling/frickenweird noise before returning to sleep. Embarassing, but oh well.

We all woke up, and today was costume day. I wore my school girl outfit, Nelson was Alucard, and Tom was Tidus. Many Sailor Moon jokes were made about me, but oh well. Saw alot of things, did alot of things... Crazy fun. Sam bought me a mouse pad, Nelson tried to bite me, Tom and Luke played "Hotdog/Meatball" which is a game that involves rolling around on the floor. Overall interesting day.

AAANNNNDDD, that's about it.

I CAN'T STAND THIS MATH CLASS. I'm gunna lose it, I swear. It's supposed to be one of the easier maths, but my LORD... It's so difficult to grasp. I want a break... A nice long break. I'm not even done with a single semester yet... I guess I'm pathetic. I will perservere... I hope.

It's like you're working your butt off in one class... Ohh, oh boy! Almost done ALMOST DONE! OH YES. I FINALLY FINISHED. And then you go to class the next day and find out you forgot you had a paper in Sociology due and another assignment is due two days from then in American History. That's the best way I can describe it. It's like there's no breaks where you -- I JUST FIGURED IT OUT. Ya know in high school where you had lotsa classwork to do, and then you didn't have too much homework. College is the opposite. You have little to no classwork, and EVERYTHING is homework. Tests and homework. Exams and homework. Essays.... and homework.

AARRGGGRAWGGAHHAHHAARARARARRRRRG!

Okay, I'm cool... I'm good...

Also, thanks to Brad for igniting my addiction and Aaron for fueling it, I am now a slave to World of Warcraft. Isn't that lovely?

Hahah, I totally just watched an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I really like that show... I really do. It amuses me greatly. I AM CURRENTLY DOWNLOADING IT. Huzzah.

Okay, pardon my lack... um.. Activity. I just started college at the University of South Florida... Woo! Third week! OH BOY! I'm takin' Sociology, Comp I, Finite Math, and American History.

Sociology is pretty neat for the most part. Get to watch videos of famous experiments. Haha. People were put in a position of a teacher, and they were told to shock the student in the other room everytime they gave a wrong answer. The voltage went up with each wrong answer. The people didn't know it, but they weren't shocking anyone... HOWEVER, they heard a recording of the "student's" voice everytime they got shocked. They'd scream and complain of heart conditions and if the teacher kept shocking them, they wouldn't respond at all. Alot of the people tested laughed and some even kept shocking them after they stopped screaming. It's amazing what people will do...

English is the best because it's basically a writing class. I LOVE TO WRITE.

Math sucks. It's incredibly difficult and full of brand new concepts... I'm doing okay so far, but the stuff we just got this week is completely stumping me... I am saddened... I'm an SLD student, so if it's hard for normal kids to grasp, you can imagine how I'm going to do.

American History makes me want to cry. Most teacher let you out early, but this lady... HOOOHHH NO. No way. She literally talks for an hour and a half. Just... talks... Oh Lord...

Anyway, that's about all the excitement that I want to type about right now... Especially since I'm getting yelled at, and Kazoo is climbing all over the mouse... His feet dangerously close to the back button... HOO. Anyway. Bai bai.

Ohohoho... I am... totally blank. I watched this animation right here: ( [link] ) and I went on a quest to find the whole version of the song that was used. LO AND BEHOLD, it comes into my possession. Yes. Effing yes. So I am now listening to it on repeat.

What was I going to write about again? Oh yeah, my trip. I'm probably going to be scatterbrained about the whole thing, but that's okay. It'll be just barely understandable, and that's what makes for a good read, yes?

The flight was pretty fun, I got to meet a fellow deviant who also happens to be a pilot!! This guy: and we had a little art trade right there. That was fun. He even put my art up on his fanart section of his website: ( [link] ) Very flattering. ANYWAY, I get there. Er... I get to Portland Oregon... The family I'm staying with had to drive me up to their house which was about an hour and a half from the airport. Good stuff. The family I was staying with is the family of Mister Brad, the guy I mentioned in my previous journals. A very very nice family. (Random thought: I really want Flash because I want to learn how to animate.)

Now for the fun part! Attempting to remember what I did on what days... I can't remember... I'll just talk about what I did, time lines be darned. The main happy thing was bringing my games up there and stayin' up all night playin' against Brad. Hahah, oh man, we actually sat there and unlocked all the characters in Tekken 4. We are NERDS. Moving on. THE MELTING POT. Holy crap, that was fun. It's a fondue restaraunt for those of you who haven't heard of it-- and a very nice one I might add. I won't explain every little faucet of the dining experience, but I will say that it's awesome beyond belief. I would suggest going with an empty stomach, because ... damn. They give you a crap-loadah food! The cheese part was so good... Uurrggh.. GET THE SPICY CHEESE. SPICY, I SAY. And we got a chocolate fondue that was in the shape of a yin-yang... Okay, what else? OH! I went to see Mount Saint Helens. That was fun stuff, because I made Brad go into a lava tube. I dunno about you people, but caves are beautiful and amazing. I love going into caves. I will admit that lava tubes aren't half as interesting as normal water-formed caves, but it still held some of the same concepts. Total blackness when the lights are off, and a very cool temperature. Mm, fun. After that we went over to see this one place... Arrgg... I forget what it's called. WHATEVER. It had a waterfall, so that's all that matters. Hang on, my bird is screeching....

Pardon, I just had to watch like... the last ten minutes of Resident Evil.

Where was I? Oh, I went up in the Space Needle, too. I spit my gum off it, so that was fun. I love being mean. I think it landed in the grass somewhere, though. Prolly next to this WEIRD freaked out lookin' building that was a Sci-Fi museum.. It looked like it was an implosion of multi-colored glass and metal.. Really funky. What else did I do? Oh man, I forget everything. Uhhmm... I watched the third Lord of Rings for the first time. Hmm... Arr, my brain is so frazzled. I can't think of anything else. OH, OH! I went to the fair! AND IT WAS FULL OF CHICKENS AND PIDGEONS!!1!!1!1 I love chickens... They're so cute, especially cochins. Big fat chickens with feathers on their feet. BIG'UNS! Like 'dis: ( [link] ). SO CUTE. A famous group was going to perform at this fair... EVER HEARD OF "STYX"? It's the band that sang "Domo Arigato, Mister Roboto". That was going to be later in the day, so Brad and I sat down to eat. I wanted fair food, dangit, so I got a big ol' corn dog. About five minutes after eating this monstrosity, I began to feel rather ill. Let me clear this up first, though: I have a stomach of steel. I've never eaten anything that actually made me sick. I drank a whole cup of spoiled milk before and didn't hurl. But this dang corn dog... Oh it made me feel so ... BAD. My stomach was in so much pain. We had to leave early thanks to that effin' grease ball. No Styx for Sarah. Was a shame, I really like that song... Domo... domo...

"Of Visits, Coasters, And Bird Rescues"

Well heavens. So much has happened, and so many people DON'T want to read about it. Oh well, like I've said many times before-- journals are for the writers, not the readers.

This window has been up for an hour. I totally just got side-tracked and watched "A Fish Called Wanda" while ignoring my poor neglected journal. NOW to write.

I'll shorten things for the sake of time. Not yours, mind you, but mine. My dad wakes up every night and groggily saunters around the house looking for people who're still awake. If you're caught, you get a nice, stern, yelling-at.

I went to Oregon and Washington semi-recently. I believe I talked about this in a previous journal, but due to time constraints, I don't want to check. Met the son of a family my parents are good friends with. His name is Brad. Yes, yes... I did INDEED talk about this... I think.. Anyway, we got along pretty well, so when I started talking to him online about how neat the Florida theme parks are, he didn't really hesitate to fly down here and check 'em out. And so that's what happened. Mister Brad got to experience my... wonderful driving skill as I got to chauffeur him around. Poor kid, almost gave him a heart attack on more than one occasion, I think.

One of the parks I took him to is called "Busch Gardens". It's basically an African-themed park that's got tons of coasters as well as tons of animals. Brad, Rachel (my sister), two of my sister's friends (Maria and her emo cousin), and I had one heck of an adventure. Towards the middle-ish of our day, it decided to start lightnin' like mad. It was some of the loudest thunder I've ever heard. After that it promptly began to pour. Storms in Florida never stay bad for too long, but this one seemed to come down rather heavily for quite some time. Anyway, during this downpour, someone happened to spot a baby sparrow hopping around on the ground. Normally, my parents wouldn't let me touch a bird like that. My dad would just say, "Leave it alone. It's sick and you need to let nature take it's course." WELL GUESS WHAT?! My parents weren't there, so of course, I picked the little thing up. So I was cradling this very small, very wet bird and Brad grabbed a food tray and held it over my hands. Our whole group walked for SO long in this horrible rain just to attempt to find the aviary. The aviary is a place on the opposite side of the park that hatches baby birds, so I knew they'd be able to take care of it. We got there and no one was there (go figure) but after much running around, Brad finally found someone to come and take the pitiful thing for us.

It was a very rewarding experience, but I can't help but think they fed it to a python or smashed it with a rock... or something. I'm just thinking that he's under a heat lamp being fed by loving, caring employees. As long as I think about him like that, I'm fine. Well, even if they did feed him to a python, it's more comforting that thinking of him just dying in the rain.... I... suppose.

Moving right along. Just Brad and I went to Islands of Adventure a day or two later. Not to be confused with "Adventure Island" which is a water park filled with Europeon tourists who sport very small red speedos, and [not so small] hairy bodies. Islands of Adventure, on the other hand is made up of four other smaller themed sections. The themes are Dr. Suess, Jurassic Park, a kind of mythical land full of dragons and stuff, and Marvel Comic book land.

This theme park just happens to be my favorite theme park ever, because it has so many original things bundled up into one place. The only thing that was bad about the day we chose to visit was that hordes... Swarms of Brazilians were invading these parks... The exact same groups were at Busch Gardens two days earlier. They just HAD to follow us. It was oddly coincidental. We delt with it, though. ANYWAY. Dueling Dragons is a duel-tracked roller coaster that is in the mystic land. A fire side and an ice side are set off at the same time, and when you ride it, you feel like you're going to collide with the opposing side a few times. BEST ROLLER COASTER OF ALL TIME. For some odd reason, this ride's wait was unusually short. Sooo, Brad and I decided to ride this thing like... at least ten times. Once or twice they had to shut it down while we were in line due to weather, but we used these down times to sit down and relax in the semi-air conditioned "waiting castle". One time while...

I forgot to mention that despite Christopher Walken having sucky lines, and Adam Sandler not being exactly the right person for the role, the movie "Click" was pretty good, and made me cry like a baby. That's one surefire way to make me cry, take me to a sad movie. Titanic, The Green Mile, and that one old movie about the midget kid who dies... I think it was called "Simon"-- all those come to mind as tear-jerkers.

On to more pressing matters.

I don't like people that drink. I really, really don't. I can't stand being around them. It just... bothers me. Even something like two beers a night... Some of you think that's small, but to me, it's excessive.

Someone in my imediate family used to be a heavy drinker. It hurt me... It really did. Having someone come home one night just plain crap-faced. I know this person as being a very smart individual, but when they start talking like a teen on weed, it just hurts.

Me? I mean, I'm eighteen, and I've never drank an entire beer before. I've only had little sips of things here and there. I believe in what my ninth grade health teacher said:

"I can count all the drinks I've had for this year on one hand. Maybe I need the other hand, but rarely." -- Coach Barber

I don't like the taste, I don't like the smell, and I don't like the fact that your brain power goes down. I dunno, but the idea of going into a semi-retarded state just doesn't appeal to me.

I can never ever be with anyone who drinks. Friendship, family, romantically-- it just doesn't work.

And don't tell me you can't quit. I know people who've dropped cigarettes and/or drinking cold turkey. I've known a few. It's quite possible, most people just choose not to.

Oh yeah... Today is my third anniversary of being a Deviant. Happy Anniversary, Kazoo.

Hey guys! Remember me? I'm back from Oregon and Washington! Huzzah! What an eventful trip... Hoooo doggie.

First, the lovely plane ride to Oregon. I can't remember anything too eventful... Oh, I found out that the game I used two Target gift cards on was a waste. Super Mario 64 for the DS sucks. Not the game really... Just how difficult it is to play... Ya know.. One hand is over here trying to guide Yoshi around, and the other is down here trying to make him kick and you're falling off mountains in the process... It's just hard to play.

First night in Oregon, we get to go to my cousin Gary's house. He's my dad's cousin, so he's old, and has a lovely wife named Sin Sing. She's kinda hard to understand at times, but she's an excellent cook. We got real homecooked asian food EVERY SINGLE DAY for the three days we stayed. The one thing that freaked my dad out though, is that she fixed Chinese noodles with fish cakes and mustard greens for breakfast. Hahha, my dad got over it though... He tasted how good it was then forgot that it wasn't pancakes. Anyway.... We left there and went to my uncle's house which is in southern Oregon. So we drove for a long, long time... He just moved, so he lives in the BOONDOCKS. Deer and wild turkey all over the dang place. Right in the middle of a forest on the side of a mountain. It's a gorgeous house though. Brand new and not hick-ish at all.

Oh Uncle Johnny. I love that guy. He's so weird sometimes. He lives in this big house by himself with these four big dogs. Ivy [AKA: Nanny/Twinkie] the Veesla, Matilda [AKA: Ti-Ti] the Rotweiler, Hilda [AKA: Kook] the German Short Haired Pointer, and Lou [AKA: Gouda] the English Pointer. Pardon the misspellings, but I'm too lazy to care right now.

Does everybody remember when the buncha black guys from Florida said they were gunna blow up the Sears building (or whatever) and "Kill all the white devils they can"? Those guys were on the news along with their nicknames. Like one guy was "Brother So-and-So" and another would be "Brother Whatever". You get the idea. So my Uncle got this high-pitched voice and started petting his dogs saying, "Oh look, it's Brother NayNay! Oh, and Brother Goud!"

Just random weirdness.

We also went to a restaraunt by his house with my Aunt Christy and Uncle Rainman. (His name is Raymond, but when I was little, I couldn't pronounce it, so I just called him Rainman.) And my sister is really little and skinny, so when we went to order food, she was all emo (and getting over a flu of some sort, I guess) and not wanting anything. Well my mom makes this a big deal and mentions to the waitress that she's "worried about her daughter's anorexia" in an attempt to get my sister to eat, I suppose. Well, the waitress goes off on this long spheal that I shall describe:

Waitress: "Oh, hun. That's bad. That's not good. I was like that for a few years and they got me in the hospital and everything! You need to eat now! It'll get bad!"

Well, that poor woman just told us how she's a single mom and struggling to get by, and she just got bitten by a spider, and has to work to pay for her hospital bills... Etc etc... So my dad gives her like... a twenty dollar tip in the end. It was all good.

THEN... After the stay at Uncle Johnny's. We drive allllll the way up to Washington state. The place I was born. .. Tee-hee. So we aranged to stay at some of my parent's old friend's house. My mom and dad lived right across the street from these people when I was first born, and they became close friends. Unfortunately, my dad got orders to be stationed down in Florida, and they moved away when I was just a baby. Well, I got to meet them, and they seemed very nice. They also have two kids. A girl named Tawny (14) and a boy named Brad (21). Tawny was okay to be around. I mean, she's younger and not really into the same stuff as me, but I liked messin' with her and stuff. Brad was more my type. Very nice guy. He liked video games and stuff like that. So I kicked his butt in SUPER BUST A MOVE (whoot) and he kicked mine in Bomberman. It was all good. The night before I left, I watched him play World of Warcraft.... It was interesting... He was with like... a Guild of fourty people, and they were all trying...

Listening to: "Wicked" soundtrack

Mmmph. I actually really like the Wicked soundtrack. It's really good drawing music. Not good typing music, though. Dialogue-heavy songs make it hard for me to write, because I focus on the words in the song and it like... Makes what I'm writing come out weird. So, I apologize in advance. ANYWAY.

I'm going to be leaving for about ten or so days on vacation. Mmph. I bought every single Hsu and Chan comic for the plane ride.. Haha, a lovely seven hour trip. I also went to Target and used a gift card to buy Mario 64 for my DS. Hopefully that's good. We'll see.

OH, and I've definately been doing some SERIOUS cleaning in my room. Since I'm starting college soon, my dad decided to make me do a room-overhaul. I have stuff stuffed in every corner-- under the bed, behind the dresser, shoved in drawers... I mean... Tons and tons of junk. Mainly papers and awards from elementary school up to recent high school years. But I cleaned out all the junk.. Bags of stuff. Oh man, it was hell. But for once, there is nothing under my bed... It's AMAZING. (My dad just called for me to go to bed for the third time).

In my cleaning, I found my original Tamagotchi (however it's spelt) that I bought in 1997. It was dead, of course, so my mom went and bought new batteries for it. Yaayyy... I'm going to put them in tomorrow and see if I can figure out how to work it again.

I had fun going out with and meeting all his friends down at the Tampa Bowling Alley. It seems like all the guys have a ritual of.. uh... Humping each other... Frequently. That's the only scary thing. I did get to watch alot of old school arcade action and some pretty decent DDR players. A mosquito just flew infront of the screen, and I attempted to kill it. I failed and now I don't know where it is. I hate Florida. OVER RUN WITH 'SKEETERS.

I need to go to bed... I hafta pack in the morning.. Haha... Oh, AND NOTE TO RELEND. [ ]. I drew and inked your drawling, but I won't submit it 'til I've come back and colored it. Hokay?

Mmmph. They do indeed. The USF college orientation was much longer than necessary. They honestly could have condensed two days into one.

The place where they housed all of us were dorms made only for freshman, meaning freshman didn't have to use them, but only freshmen were allowed to use them. What it was, was a small room that had two mattresses that were very high off the ground. Like... They were both top bunks of a bunk bed. No bottom bunk. Very obnoxious, especially for me, because I get up to pee at least once a night. Anyway, my roomate was a nice girl, but the problem is, she started to snore at around two or three in the morning. This was a big no-no for Sarah. I'm a very light sleeper, so even her loud breathing kept me awake. That, and the combination of the vent blowing cold, humid air directly at my bunk was a little too much for me to take. I grabbed my thin pillow, my blanket, and my alarm clock and I trudged out into the bright hallway. There were these very small couches at the ends of the corridors, so, that's where I set up shop. I wrapped myself in that blanket and curled up on that tiny little couch. ... In the hallway... And I actually slept alot better that way. I'm tellin' ya, it was a little annoying.

I talked to one of the head art guys because I was a little concerned, and it went like this:

Me: Well, yeah, I wanted to get into animation, or computer stuff, and from what I'm seeing this... this school has nothing.
Him: You're right. If that's only what you want to go in to, then this isn't the right school for you. We have none of that.

THANKS, UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA, THANKS FOR TELLIN' ME THAT THIS FAR INTO THE GAME.

I dunno what I'm gunna do. I guess since my schedual is already set up, I'm just going to get all my core classes out of the way, and see in two years if USF is really the right school for me. If not, I can always transfer to UCF, which does have what I'm interested in. They have a prettier mascott, too. They have a flying horse, while USF has bulls. Wooo... Go green and gold. The only thing is that UCF is in Orlando, and Orlando is like... an hour or two away from where I live right now. I'd hafta move away and set up shop closer to the school. I guess we all have to leave the nest one day, it's just very intimidating.

In other news, I finally got Bixbi's skull mounted up on my wall. It's pretty scary-lookin' actually. Oh, Bixbi is the deer my dad and I shot last year. The one with the very weird rack that I uploaded pictures of. Here he is: [link]

I think that's all the news for now. Uhh... I'm going to be going to Oregon and possibly California in a few weeks. Not sure when exactly.

Oh Jeez. I am so overloaded with things.

Congrats to me, I finally (regretfully) crossed the border from childhood to adulthood in the government's eyes. I have bank accounts, a car, a debit card, a check book, a job, and tons and TONS of things to worry about. Like college. Mainly college. Oh, I'm scared.

I have an orientation thing coming up, but the catch is, I forget when it is, and they're also making us spend the night. Without parents. This bothers me greatly. I mean, it specifically said, "Parents will not be admitted. Students need to experience life at the school by themselves.." blah blah BLAH blah blah. And to get into the art school, I need to fill out crap-loads of paper work and send in a portfolio. I'm not even sure how the whole thing works, but still, it's due soon, and I haven't even touched it. *sighs*

Crap... The scholarship I just won for nine hundred clams... was that check ever deposited? Where is it? What the heck happened? I don't know what's going on anymore.

I'm so stressed.

I did graduate though. Walked across the stage in my cap and gown. Hugged teachers. Got my picture taken. The whole ordeal. Happy day. Only one thing. My favorite teacher, Mister Pinzino, didn't show up. He said he would. This greatly depresses me. Oh well. My second favorite teacher showed up, so that makes me happier. Thanks Mister Nick.

I'm downloading the whole first season of Robot Chicken. Already watched episodes one through six. That show makes me happy.

I did turn eighteen, but I didn't have a party. No presents really... No nothing. I did get some clothes and a birthstone ring from my parents. My mom also let me pick out a little heart-shaped gold locket for my graduation gift. I really like it. Hopefully gunna get it engraved soon. It may be too small, I dunno.

Been playing God of War lately. My precious, bought me a manga and that game. Thank-chuu~ I haven't played a video game in a good long time, so this was nice. There's one part where you first fight a horde of Cerberus, and I kept dying and dying and DYING. So after seeing "YOU'RE DEAD" flash on the screen about six times, it finally said, "Would you like to switch to Easy Mode?" It took me a while, but I finally decided to go with the Easy Mode. Hahah, everything dies a little faster, which saves my fingers alot of pain. I've had it for only a few days, but I'm almost done with it I think. When I get a new game, I don't play it on and off, I sit down and PLAY that mutherfrucka. Hours and hours. Until I get incredibly bored, my butt hurts really bad, or my vision blurs. I'm hardcore like that. My dad usually makes me get off if I play for more than five hours straight though.

ANYWAYS. I have to go to work tomorrow, so I guess I need to sleep. My butt hurts, too. Mmph. Too much gaming for one day, I suppose.

I think I'm in disbelief or something. May 15th, 2006 is my final full day of high school. I've been so busy lately, hence the lack of art. Good news, though. I did get a Florida Bright Futures scholarship which pays for 75% of my college tuition. Oh, and I got that Brandon League of Fine Arts scholarship, too. I got a huge cardboard check (like the ones they give to people who just won a million bucks) that has my name on it and everything. They put up this picture ([link] ) in the library's art gallery, too. Not bad considering my catooning is going to be hanging next to beautiful paintings of bowls of fruit. I'd say that counts for something.

I still can't wait for the new Pokemon games to come out... I'm just prayin' for a release date ... ANYTHING would make me giddy right now. I live for Pokemon games.

On a lower note, I'm not happy about this "Wii" business. (Har har... "What's this 'we' business?") I mean, come on... I'm still a little uneasy about the whole remote deal, and now they come out with this lame name? Oh well, Nintendo has never really been too wrong, so they'll probably pull it off with amazing results. Let us pray.

I want to draw... Mmm.. Summer break...
