Well, we finally were able to get my daughter a proper evaluation and the doctor pretty easily identifed her as having Aserger's Syndrome. So now at least we know what we're dealing with and it's somewhat of a relief.

We've been busy reading up on it and formulating a game plan. Although it's still going to be work, I have to admit that there is a good bit of stress relived at having the diagnosis.

I also should have time to get back to working on the comic, for those of you who have been waiting on more of The Pack. I've had one page nearly done for weeks now, so that ought to be up in the next couple of days.

Anthrocon this year requires a down payment at the time of room booking, plus my dealer request went through, so they'll be looking for their money soon. Plus I owe taxes in PA that if I don't pay I won't get my ID number for this year.

I seriously have no idea what to do. I'm so stressed out that I can't seem to pull it together long enough to deal with all this. I am going quite out of my mind.

That being said- that's why I haven't been able to get any more of the comic or my other projects done lately.

My grandmother in law gets so pissed off when we don't call her for a couple of days. She takes it like we're blowing her her off because she's had to ask other people for stuff, but in my way of thinking if she needs something she only has to call and ask. But it doesn't even pass in my brain to call her each day and ask if she needs something. I am almost always so busy with so much in my head going on that I just don't think of it. I'm not being malicious about it, or not wanting to do anything for her...but damn she knows how to lay on a guilt trip.

So now I have to spend the rest of the day feeling like crap and guilty because I have to think first about my kids, my finances, getting a job, my art business to make money, cook meals, clean the house and a million other things but OMG I didn't call her to see how her day was?

Sigh.

Each of the Through the years paintings is taking me three days per pic because I only really get to work on them between 8pm and 1 am. There is just no TIME during the day while my kids are awake. Now, wonderfully, I'm sick so I'll have to fight against being tired and wanting to go to sleep so that I can still manange to get it done.

Then on top of that is Wolf, which has us scrambling to figure our what we're going to showcase. I had wanted to be able to spend more time on it this month to hep get what needed to be done, done...but one thing after another.. I swear I've never had less time in my life than I've had this year. Next year probably won't be much better, not until my kids are old enough for school. No time and no money is making this whole venture so stressing.

I can't wait until AC, to have fun there, but these next 10 days are going to be HELL.

The conditions are just that the concept for your bank needs to be something that won't violate any copyright laws. Some ideas I had were animals, ninja, pirate, fursuit costume, ren faire or character based (As long as you own the copyright on the character). You can give me your own ideas too! I am looking to do only concepts that are fandom based, so no baby or child themes.

I really wish I could draw humans! I'm all jazzed about doing some HP fan art now, but it'll probably be a couple weeks before I post any of it. I need to go through a human re-training process since I really haven't drawn any people in at least a year. I know I can do it..I just need to retrain my brain for a while before my humans stop looking animalistic. This is where I go and google over galleries like Makani and Shoomlah's so I can try and get back into my own swing. This was really a pointless journal wasn't it?

I'm giving this journal thing another whack. I'm not usually good at putting my feelings and stuff down on paper, but I'm going to give it another try..mainly as a way to stay in contact with people and keep up friendships, which I aslo tend to be bad at.

I'm glad I was able to make it through my birthday at least before he decided to drop in on the world. He's just adorable, of course. Tall and skinny and the opposite of our daughter who's always been on the big side and who now seems to tower over her little brother with only a 10 month difference. I don't understand why people have to be hateful and feel the need to knock people down, people who haven't done anything to them. What is so horrible about some people using their free time to try and do something they love? Create something that they can be proud of? That really is our only goal in making Wolf.

So why is it necessary for people to rant and rave about how our art sucks, about how we're immature and have no idea what we're getting into? Why is it necessary to say 'you'll never make it so stop trying?' Who are we offending or hurting by trying our best? Maybe we'll fall flat on our faces, maybe we will succeed. Only time will tell. But at least we can say we tried. At least we have the heart and the drive to TRY.

I don't see what joy insulting us brings to people. I realize that this is a life lesson. I hope that I remember these times when raising my children, that I never squash their dreams with negativity. To tell them that the effort is greatest reward, not the final product. To live their lives with passion. I feel that those naysayers must have had thier own dreams crushed, if they ever had any to begin with. Some people just cannot see past the end of thier noses, and what a shame. They miss so much potential in the world around them.

But despite your beliefs, it just seems to me that people want to be mean just for the sake of being mean. They offer no advice, no critisism, just vengfulness and anger. I do my best to ignore it, but it gets to me. I do get angry...very angry deep inside. But my goal is to make the film, not to argue with sensless people who won't listen anyway.

My point is, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT- JUST GO AWAY! We didn't do anything to you, we are minding our own business, so just do the same and LEAVE US ALONE! ]]> ~krazyklaws
