I am Very hesitate thou and this is why
it costs $45 plus $10 per item I display there, Plus They keep 25% from any items sold in the gallery .
Is this normal, because to me it seems kind of steep . There are a lot of artists in Richmond because of VCU and I think it would be easy to pray on artists with more hope then talent that would be easily taken advantage of . For my final paper and also presentation on Newar Buddhism I will look at the symbolism of the thrown animals of the Jina Buddha's. In the iconography of Newar Buddhism Vairochana sits upon a lion, Akshobhya sits upon an elephant, Ratnasambhava sits upon a horse Amitabha sits upon a Peacock and Amoghasiddhi sits upon a Garuda (a large intelligent bird man hybrid).  However no reason is given as to why they do so.
