Ok, I'll start with the good news. (Well, I guess it has both sides.) Our whole stake is being reorganized. The ward boundaries are changed and now we have 5 wards instead of 6 wards. Our old ward was so small, it should have been a branch. Now the one we're in is absolutely HUGE! We're going to have at least 15 ACTIVE Young Women! Now THAT'S exciting when we used to have about 6 active before. And the greatest thing of all is that the other young women I have wanted to be friends with for so long are in my ward. That means it'll be easier for me to open up - instead of just seeing them at dances or seminary. The sad thing is that some people in our old ward are going to be in different wards so we're losing at least 3 (only 2 are active) YW. Sad, sad... Except I'm more excited than sad so I haven't cried. Our first Sunday as a ward is next week and I'm so excited to see how many YW there really are. And this week is also the last week for our ward to be together so we're doing a lot of partying, lol.

Ok, and the other sad news is that President Gordon B. Hinckley died last night in Salt Lake City at 7pm MST. I expected him to at least get to be 98 years old. He only had 5 months to go! It's amazing how fast news spreads. It was an hour and a half later that I found out he had died.

My mouth has been twitching the last two days in attempt to break out in a large smile - and sometimes when I don't want it to.

In dance class I did great! I was the only one that actually achieved a certain dance move and I got lots of compliments from the teacher. I've definitely improved in dance since the beginning of the year - especially since I never liked hip hop before.

I started high school yesterday and it's awesome! Kind of scary though... I'm disappointed in myself. After school today was volleyball tryouts and I chickened out because no one I knew would try out with me... I am trying out for soccer though (and I'll have a friend with me). I am so glad the summer is almost half over. I suddenly (ever since yesterday) have gotten very excited about going into grade 10. I was actually happy to see Nibbles our hamster and wanted to play with her - but she fell asleep. I feel so weird... And I've been feeling like school is going to be so different in January.

I got makeup for Christmas so that might make school slightly different wearing makeup to school. And for the last few days, I've been thinking about and missing all those cute boys...

I went skiing on Sunday - Christmas Eve - and there was a really cute boy there trying on snowboarding boots for my youngest brother (who rocks at snowboarding and is only 7). Yeah my youngest brother was the only one in my family that did snowboarding and he's better than all of us. Lots of older people thought he was good too because he can go down a (very small) hill with one or two falls...

Yeah, we went skiing at Mount Baldy - 45 minutes outside of Oliver. We stayed at my aunt's cabin for a few days. For the last 2 days we were there, we stayed at another aunt's house in Osoyoos.

So yeah... I'm going to be mostly bored for the rest of vacation - talk to me!

I really shouldn't be on the computer right now... I'm behind in LA only but I've failed an easy worksheet in math AND got 69% on a test AND lost a worksheet so my math mark is low now... Social I think is going to go lower if my social teacher marks the movie notes (which I always do bad on). What's worse is that we're supposed to do really good this term to get into high school and I hope I can get my marks up before the end of January...

Yet, I have none out. I did let a friend take out 3 though, and they are on the overdue list. Yet, I returned every single book (counted them all!) and I saw with my own eyes, my friend put hers down the chute. It's impossible! Unless the library lost them (yeah, right). I renewed them so I don't owe anymore but so far the fines are $7. They are all hardcover books too so if I have to pay for them, it's likely gonna cost at least $100. But what if someone had put them on the shelves without checking them in??? HUH??? WHAT NOW?! Sorry I'm kinda mad and upset. Please let them be found, I pray!

Also, today I nearly forgot my trumpet on the bus for about the fourth or fifth time. (One time I accidently left it overnight.)

Tryouts for track started today. I had all three of the ones I had signed up for for today: distance, discus, and sprinting.

Tomorrow is my friend Melanie's birthday!!!
