Oops. I totally got super super busy in the past like, year and horribly neglected my DA account. Anyways, I'm working for Estee Lauder currently in Baltimore, MD and I am also going to assume I will see some of you at DragonCon this year. So, you live in or near Atlanta? You may have heard of Dragon Con then, and if you haven’t go to their site and check it out.. If you have a love of art, fantasy, sci-fi and anything and everything in between, this is a must see event. Spanning over three hotels and in downtown Atlanta.
By now I’m guessing you have gone and checked it out a bit and you might be thinking “Woah! That looks cool as hell!”

Wanna hear something even cooler? How about a devMeet there on Saturday?
Native Atlantean and Dragon Con veteran =kristyvictoria is going to doing just that. Hold a devMeet right there at the convention. At our very own table that Patrick Roberts has set up for us. Those of you who attended the Summit may have met him. Great guy and has the time to speak to everyone who comes his way.
So go check out the con, and maybe get some free DA stuff and maybe go check out the print shop where you will find the works of `arcipello, ^alyn, *blackeri and ©suzi9mm Real world exposure for our print artists is taking its first step here folks. Sit back and watch what happens.


So what was that about this devMeet? Where do I go? Who do I talk to?

=kristyvictoria will be taking the lead and the plan is to meet at the deviantART table at 5:00 PM and then at 5:30 Pm head out to the Pacific Rim Bistro for food, beverages and to get to say Hi to everyone. From there it is back to the convention, and we think between Kristy, you guys, and the convention you just might find something fun to do.
The problem will most likely be there is too much too do!

Just an update because I was bored and felt like updating. The book sales to fund my holland trip are going pretty well - but I'm still drowning with more than 200 books in my inventory and no place to put them all! ( You can see what all I have for sale Here - I have alot books listed for as cheap as 75 cents brand new /endspam. )

In other news I got a full scholarship for my next quarter in college, for making all A's. Hooray!

I'm still scheming up some crazy things to do on that video, but don't worry, I haven't forgotten...

And that's about it, aside from looking for some odd jobs to keep me occupied during my short 3 week break. What an exciting life, eh?

The purpose of the Proteus Knowledge Base Project is to create a web-based network for sharing artist information resources. The Project is designed to help artists find articles, tutorials, and reviews created by other artists, in one high-quality, user-friendly website. The Project is broadly focused, encompassing all forms of digital and traditional artwork, as well as general theory, styles, and history of art. The Project will be implemented through online collaboration of volunteer project teams.

We all know how hard it is to find decent help, whether it be tutorials or web resources. That is why the "H3lp" chat room was founded by Kickintheteeth and Simgfx. It was to become a place where any and all could find help with their various problems. From Photoshop to PHP, and Illustrator to 3D a team was assembled which could offer professional help in these areas. Although our Founders, Operators and Members are very experienced, and we try to help as much as possible, there is often need to refer to people to tutorials and resources around the web. Hence our "Idea" was born.

Although there are numerous tutorial sites around the web, there is no clean clear cut way of finding them, hence we are planning to build a complete online help system, that will not only feature it's own community, but a current list and representation of the tutorials located in the far corners of the web. Although we will host our own tutorials, our goal is to categorize and index all of the wealth and knowledge that is out there, into an interactive and easy to use system. The web portion will be powered by a powerful backend database, that will "verify" it's tutorials so that you do not continue to get "404 Page Not found". It will be organized, fast and extremely useful. We are currently brainstorming to come up with all of the included features of this project, but I can tell you that we also hope to integrate a standalone program that will plugin directly to this database, so that you are merely one click away from finding your solutions.

Project Description

We all know how hard it is to find decent help, whether it be tutorials or web resources. That is why the "H3lp" chat room was founded by Kickintheteeth and Simgfx. It was to become a place where any and all could find help with their various problems. From Photoshop to PHP, and Illustrator to 3D a team was assembled which could offer professional help in these areas. Although our Founders, Operators and Members are very experienced, and we try to help as much as possible, there is often need to refer to people to tutorials and resources around the web. Hence our "Idea" was born.

Although there are numerous tutorial sites around the web, there is no clean clear cut way of finding them, hence we are planning to build a complete online help system, that will not only feature it's own community, but a current list and representation of the tutorials located in the far corners of the web. Although we will host our own tutorials, our goal is to categorize and index all of the wealth and knowledge that is out there, into an interactive and easy to use system. The web portion will be powered by a powerful backend database, that will "verify" it's tutorials so that you do not continue to get "404 Page Not found". It will be organized, fast and extremely useful. We are currently brainstorming to come up with all of the included features of this project, but I can tell you that we also hope to integrate a standalone program that will plugin directly to this database, so that you are merely one click away from finding your solutions.

As always, anyone who is looking for print permissions (or if you have a print I haven't added to my wishlist) should send me a note, and I will provide permission ASAP. My stock may be used without asking for permission *on deviant art* (but please send me a note or comment with your deviation! I love to see the amazing work you guys do!) - if you would like to use it for some other purpose please send me a note and ask!

Also, I've heard that people have seen my stock used in layouts on blogspot.com (or something similar?) and I'd just like to ask that if you know of any layouts on that website, or if you see my work being used off site without a link to my website this probably means I did not give permission for it to be used, and if you could drop me a note it would be greatly appreciated!
