Just got the internet back after a long down time and change of provider. Man, this profile has been neglected...

I'm back in employment and earning money for which art materials and stuffs can be bought now. ^_^

Haven't got much of anything to submit right now as I've found no time between work and relationship/social activities to draw.
Rest assured though, with the power of the internets I shall be motivated once again to provide.

Just an quick one.

I've submitted and updated version of the Resident Evil 5 Sheva Alomar sketch that I'm currently working on. It's changed dramatically considering how little I've added to the actual piece, but it'll be the shading and detailing that did it.
I'm also looking for suggestions for the background, I've been thinking Chainsaw Man, but I'm open to see what other people think. Let me know. ^_^

I've also added three of the most 'artistic' photographs from my trip to Thorpe Park yesterday. All the rest are fun friendly ones so I didn't think they would be necessary here. ^_^"

Well, there we go. 0__o"

I knew it would happen and it did.
Just as soon as I prepare to line up my first set of commissioned drawings, ever, I get the biggest art block known to man... and woman.

I was set. T__T
Earlier on today I had quite possibly the biggest urge to draw I've had in a very long time, which was hugely appreciated considering I've had a lot of ideas and inspiration floating around in my brain.
However, as soon as pencil touched paper I was sucked into a vortex of vacuum force creativity drainage and ended up wasting close to half a sketchbook on utter pants until I had to take a well deserved break from trying before something in my head exploded.

Is that one of the most irritating scenarios.
I hate it.

I shall try again in a little while.

All of this has left me wondering whether to open commissions just yet or not... I don't want to take on drawing for people if I'm not going to be able to do it, but at the same time I think it may encourage me to draw more BECAUSE I'm drawing for people.

And so it begins, again.
I'm back, for real, subscribed once again to the deviantART courtesy of my father who I can't thank enough.
If I had the money to subscribe again I would've a good while ago but haven't been able to due to my unemployed ass.
For this privilege I am extremely grateful because this IS my community and has been for 3 years. Both the people and the artwork that accumulate here are/is astonishing and I love it.

So, down to business I guess...
I am, as before mentioned, subscribed again. This is to try and open windows I previously had open before I got cold and disappeared.

I will be opening a small number of commissions shortly not only to try and claw my way out of potential bankruptcy and the joys of unemployment but also to give something back to the community I love so much.

I'll be here frequently with updates over the next couple of weeks and let you know when the commission slots open up for those eager to have something drawn.
Prices and whatnot will be given when I can settle on what's reasonable and what's damn right outrageous.

Hello again,

I can imagine a lot of people are thinking something along the lines of, "Where did all these photographs come from?!"

Well... The answer to that would be:

I was asked if I could take some nice photographs for my lovely friend Beth because she was fed up of all her old photos and wanted something new.
I'm not the best photographer in the world but was very happy to take up the offer and shoot several different photo sets, some of which have ended up here.

Now, the thing is...
Beth is incredibly camera shy and believes that she is not at all photogenic, which, to be perfectly honest sounds quite silly but is very much understandable.
It's confidence in herself and her appearance that I wish to help her build, not just by getting her to loosen up in front of the camera, but also by getting her to read some of the lovely comments that have already appeared below the photos here on deviantART.

I thank those of you who have said very nice things already. ^_^

I have been rather busy recently, racking my brain and working hard to create some funky t-shirt designs for possible printing.
I've been working with a local clothing store owner to bring something fresh to the local clothing market and, hopefully, I can develop some designs that'll do just that...

It's been tough sitting and planning ideas and thinking of what would be good on a t-shirt.
I've got two areas that I'm currently working on at the moment;

1) Drawing designs by hand and getting my artwork 'out there'.
2) Making some awsome designs and graphics from photographs.

Another reason for exploding into action on the t-shirt designing area is that I have been added to CosmicSoda's deviantWATCH list...
Which means getting my backside into gear and making an impression.

Hello,

Back from the land of the rising sun.
(have been for quite a while sorry, been busy doing nothing).

To be honest, I haven't been the same since I came back.
Despite not wanting to leave Japan here I am... back in Weymouth and losing my mind already. Being in Tokyo for a week has made me realise just how small and how shit this town really is.
Oh well... that's more reason to save up money and go back to Japan as soon as possible and for a longer period of time.

You know, one way ticket... get lost somewhere, don't ever coe back kinda thing.

It was amazing though.
Words can't describe how happy I was just by being there...
I could walk down the street outside the hotel and my eyes would well up with tears, just because I'd made it, I was there finally.

Leaving was the worst.
I kept crying... it was like breaking up with your one true love, and I've already done that once in my life.
To go through it again with the country that I love was almost unbearable.

Sad huh?

The memories from the trip will always stay in my mind until I return. I had tons of fun and met some really friendly people.
Visited some awsome places and did strange things, but it was all good and felt so much more like home than being here.

The most difficult thing by far was being in the country I love with the person I love and just having to stand by as a friend.
But like I said, I had a wonderful time.

Long time no speak, no art, no clue (once again).

Just wanted to say thank you to everybody that has favourited my 'Metal Gear' fanart from a while back. The MGS4 boom must've helped with that I'm sure, but seriously thank you all.

Metal Gear Solid 4 truely is the best game ever.
I've nearly finished it, just saving the last act to brew some tension before I play it.
Got a bottle of sake ready too so that I can toast to the death of Liquid (should he die... and he fucking should) and to pay respect to Snake and everybody else.
Sad I know, but I also toast to Kojima for his outstanding work.

My most humble apologies to all of you that favourited my Crisis Core wallpaper as it has been removed from deviantART due to copyright violation. With any luck all you lucky people that faved it also saved it to your computers so that you can enjoy using it when you wish.

deviantART also violated ME by sending many, many notes about said deviation/wallpaper. Note has been taken of course...
However, the images used in the wallpaper were low resolution screen captures and the wallpaper was constructed and layed out by myself.

Good morning Britain, Good evening America.
It's time for a wonderful new journal update of updatiness. ^_^

How is everybody? I'm super hyper having finished my past college assignments and am free to do as I wish for the two whole weeks of Easter now. Like eat chocolate eggs and get fat. Whoo!

I plan to do a heck of a lot of drawing in this free time, but it'll mostly be sketch work and stuff because I feel my skill level has sunk below zero having not drawn for ages... ^_^"

On a seperate note, the UK finally got the downloadable PS3 game PAIN today. It's freaking fantastic and very addictive to say the least...

Things are better and the mood has lightened, however it still feels a little strange having only two cats now instead of three.

Here to say hello and inform the world that Lucky Star has taken over my life. I can't stop watching it.
The proof can be seen just slightly to the left of this box in the form of a fanart that's probably one of my best pieces to date.

Lots of hard work went into the Konata picture.
What was just a basic sketch got the complete overhaul in Photoshop in a shocking all-night venture to get it finished.
The sketch was traced with the pen tool for a nice outline and then the colour was added using careful reference to stay true to the source material. All of the digital version was created with a mouse and lots of patience.

That is all now.

All you people in the US are incredibly lucky to have the chance to go see CLOVERFIELD today. Especially as today is THE day that the film actually happens too... I'm incredibly jealous.
I want to see it now too.

As of now my eyes and ears will remain closed until the UK release of the film which'll open around the beginning of February.
I don't want to see or hear ANYTHING of the film or from anybody that has seen the film from now until I watch it in the cinema myself.

Well then, that's that all over with. Cristmas is over for another year.
Sorry for not being around much lately and for not wishing the majority of people a Merry Christmas... I've been tied up with several 'inconveniences' over the past two weeks or so.

One of them being that my 'god complex' dictator of a stepfather has once again forsaken me and kept the wireless internets' WEP key a complete secret. Leaving me NO internet access...
The epic failiure of no internets is as follows;

- Without access to the wireless network I cannot browse the internet on my Laptop, PC, Playstation 3 or my PSP at home.

- Without access to the wireless network I cannot upload artwork to deviantART, upload videos to YouTUBE, keep in the loop of forum conersations and such.

- Without access to the wireless network I cannot update my Playstation 3 or PSP, nor play online games.

- Without access to the wireless network I cannot do valuble researching or obtain information that will help me complete assignments to pass my college course.

Such things are incredibly trivial I know... except maybe the last one, that's pretty serious, though internet access for research can be found at college or the library. How else woud I be writing this journal, eh? ^_^;

However not all is bad I suppose.
I had a wonderfull Christmas away from home, but home from home at my dads house and had a really nice time.
I hope everybody else had a great Chrismas and enjoyed themselves with whatever family and friend filled activities.

Also finished Uncharted: Drakes Fortune on Normal, Hard and Crushing now. Still hunting for my 60th and final treasure though... 0_o;;

Unless I don't resurface before the end of this year I wish everybody a Happy New Year for when it comes. Drink loads for me. ^_^

A very fine hello to you all,

You may have noticed many photos in my gallery...
This is because I'm going to see HIM in Portsmouth on th 07th December and am close to exploding with excitement.
It'll be the third time that I'll see them live, having seen them 31st October of 2004 at their Halloween concert at the Carling Apollo, Hammersmith and before that at the Pyramid Center, Portsmouth further back on 29th January 2004.

Thought I'd make it a hat-trick.

The photos I uploaded are from the Portsmouth concert 04, and are a pre-concert indulgence for friday... also for reminiscence as it was the first time I saw them live and now I'm going to Portsmouth to see them again. It was the most intimate concert I'd ever been to and was lucky enough to be stood right under Ville at the front middle of the crowd. Don't think I'll be so lucky this time mind you...

I'll report back again after the concert.

I'm really sorry to have to say this, I know there are a lot of fans here at deviantART of a certain anime series... You've all seen the countless ammounts of fanart that litter the front page.

EVERY SINGLE TIME, I load up the internet (deviantART is my home page so I get the front page every time)... E.V.E.R.Y single time I see the front page there's ALWAYS a different NARUTO picture.
It drives me round the bend, I appreciate that it's a long running series in Japan and has become very popular both in the States and here in the UK very quickly... but please.
NO MORE!
I'm fed up to the hairs in my nose with seeing that little yellow haired brat and his friends everytime I log in to deviantART.
I may sound miserable and petty, fair do's it happens... some people have opinions about things and mine, I'm afraid to say, is that Naruto isn't actually THAT good. I just can't see what everybody else sees in it.
It's almost as over-promoted as the original series of Pokemon now.
There are better things out there to watch... have any of you ever considered watching Dragon Ball? Actually, wait that's pretty much the same thing, but without ninjas... Forget I said anything.

I made it.

To the end of a long road, the prequel to all happenings and to the beginning of Final Fantasy VII.

What has been the best experience of gameplaying and storytelling has ended in what could only be inevetible and the most tears I have ever come to shed over a fictional story. Zack was fantastic.
A legend... No, A HERO.
He sacrificed everything so that Cloud could escape to Midgar and carry on his will.

The death of Aerith made me sob like a baby... I'm not afraid to admit to that. Yes, it's not real... but the emotion the creators wanted you to feel was felt.
The death of Aerith has nothing on what you will experience at the end of Crisis Core though... Prepare yourself a freaking HUGEl box of tissues.

But as this chapter closes a new one opens...

"I am Cloud, SOLDIER First Class" says cloud, on the roof of the train he rides upon as it speeds towards it's destination.

I didn't mention it before hand, but I went to see Gwen Stefani at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham last night.

Got to Birmingham safe and sound on two trains and found the B&B without hassel via taxi trip. Hooray!

The concert was amazing, first off CSS's performance was great even if it was a really short set. (like 30 mins... )
Stand out songs included 'Lets Make Love and Listening To Death From Above' and also 'Alcohol' which was a really cool song.

Gwen Stefani was absolutely fantastic.
The sets, costumes and dance routines were awsome and the sound was great. She made a huge effort to keep in constant communication with the crowd and shouted up "BirmingHAM!" throughout the show.
I can't really pick out stand out tracks from the show because it was all just too good.
Though when she performed The Real Thing it was done accoustic and dedicated to her son, it was a really nice version of the song. Also the huge visuals on screen for Early Winter were beautiful, featuring a Geisha dancing in falling snow all in slow-motion.

I'm going to stop by saying; if Gwen Stefani tours the UK again in the near future I'm going again! And you should too!!!

BOOSCH! Got my Limited Edition CRISIS CORE Slim PSP today.
It feels really, really light... which is awsome. The old PSP feels like a brick now. XD

CRISIS CORE is awsome.

Not one single person from 'Team Silent' will be working on the game...
No Masahi Tsuboyama (art director), no Sato Takayoshi (producer/director), no Ito Masahiro (monster designer).

Akira Yamaoka is doing the music... But after his work directing 'The Room' which somehow found it's way to being the 4th Silent Hill game when it was never intended to be, and the poor movie that he had a part in along with that idiot french director... I have little faith in the project at all.

All Silent Hill fans will remember this as the moment Silent Hill died.

Personally I believe that the series ended at the end credits of the 3rd installment, something that other people will agree with and that a fourth... (non-intentional, crowbarred references, terrible monsters, just for the sake of more profit) ...was NEVER needed.

I now retreat from my soapbox to weep at the demise of a beautiful, involving, atmospheric, repulsing, frightening, psychologically terrifying, and truly astounding series.

Still in stunned amazement from the show.
Sorry no photos... *says crying* I was made to hand in my camera or they wouldn't let me go in to the show.

The support band (whoever they were?) managed to gain absolutely no movement from the crowd and seemed to play to themselves their egos. All their songs sounded the same too...

~

There was a long pause between the support exiting and the set up of Diru's equipment... people were getting impatient, chanting began and ceased and started again and again.
Then the crowd surged forward like a tide, screaming as Shinya and Die walked out onto the stage closely followed by Toshiya and Kaoru.
Then Kyo appeared and the screams of the crowd rose up to an almost ear-piercing level.

Short of not knowing many of the songs from 'The Marrow Of A Bone' I didn't know what to expect (I haven't bought it yet... I know, I'm a bad person) but the performance was astounding, emotional and intimate. The real stand-out songs of the performance were the ones that got the whole crowd singing with Kyo, these included:
- 'Agitated Screams Of Maggots'
- 'Saku'
- 'The Final'
- 'Kodoku Ni Shisu, Yueni Kodoku'
- 'Clever Sleazoid'

My most memorable part of the concert was straight after the first chorus of 'The Final' when Kyo climbed onto his box, fish-hooked the inside of his mouth with his fingernails and spat a mouth-full of blood into the air and rubbed it over his face.
I managed to get a few specks on me, but nothing to brag about. ^^
And Kyo dumping a whole bucket of water on his head at the end of the performance was cute... He left it on his head for a while and looked like... I don't know, it was just amusing. ^^

Most disappointing thing about the concert was that they didn't play:
- 'Child Prey'
- 'Obscure'
- 'Kodou'

However it was the best concert I've been to in years and quite possibly the only time I'll get to see Diru live. It has been noted as a very special and potentially one-off UK performance, that and the one this evening at the same venue.

My thoughts go out to the people we saw on our way out of the venue already camping out and waiting in line for tonights show... Sleep well and don't catch cold!

Thanks muchly for 30,000+ views, I know I haven't produced any artwork for a couple of months now but I'm happy to see new people finding my page and old visitors coming back.

I'm still very offline at home at the moment and probably will be for a little while longer I'm afraid. Although I'm finally drawing again, now that the band I was in has split up, and have plenty of free time to get some serious works done.

It's a small shame to have the band I was part of break up... The singing was fun and the gigs we did were entertaining while it lasted.
Maybe I'll find another band... or go solo!

Konnichiwa,

Today I wish to inform you of my decision to kick-start 'UNTITLED' back into action.
I ran a poll around the time of my last journal to find out peoples feelings about me continuing the comic in pencil and whether they'd still read it. (hey, looks aren't everything).
I didn't get a lot of response, but thank you to the three people who commented on the poll.

As most of the vote landed in the 'Whatever's good' answer I'm going to carry on and just do the damn thing!

The initial goal with 'UNTITLED' was to make it into a weekly web-comic.
Originally I went all out and inked everything, put in little details and even added some colour here and there. The only problem with doing it like that was that it took too long to produce a comic page by friday, the day I set as 'update day', and finding time in the evening to draw after working all day is a real pain when you just want to rest.

However, after messing around with a lot of sketches lately I've decided to continue the story and stick with the friday deadline but producing the pages in sketch form.
It makes doing the backgrounds a lot easier and allows for mistakes to be corrected quickly and easier without having to draw a whole frame again.

Anybody who's read or seen Megatokyo will understand where I'm coming from...

Anyway, yeah.

'UNTITLED' is planned (but not SET yet) to return next friday which will be 18/05/07. Fingers crossed.

Hey all,

I've broken free from the gripping cold/flu virus that's sweeping through my house at last. Feeling a lot better now too, other than having to go back to work.

As for the title of this here journal... I just can't figure out what's wrong with me and the activity of being artistic at the moment.
I just can't seem to be able to draw, well, anything.
Maybe it's just a phase, like when I used to skateboard lots I never even felt the need to draw and when I finally sat down and picked up a pencil suddenly I was off! Hopefully I'll be able to start up again soon.

Good day,

I feel incredibly bunged up... Well I did, until I took some Sudafed, then the whole contents of my head poured out of my nose.

Hard to believe I actually stopped by, what with the distraction of Ridge Racer 7. However, I just completed the game and became Ridge State Champion... Which would be fantastic if it were a real-life acheivement. Sadly though the world of videogames and dreams aren't what I need.
It's time to knuckle down and make something of myself.

Hopefully that'll involve some kind of fantastic new artwork.
I'd love to be drawing right now, but I keep dripping everywhere and getting childishly stroppy about the whole cold thing... keep your distance nobody need get hurt or contaminated!

Hello.

I seem to be distracted ever so slightly from drawing at the moment I wonder if you can guess why... PS3.
I feels good to actually be able to play one at long last. Certainly worth the wait too. The only beef I have with the console is it's 'backward compatibility problems'... I tried to play Metal Gear Solid 2 yesterday and the Playstation 3 turned to me and said "Surely you've gotta be joking, fuck off!" and spat the disc back out...

I cried.

Things seem to be picking up and I've started drawing again. It's all just sketches at the moment though, I'm thinking it'll take a little time for me to get back into Photoshop but that's ok. I plan to build up an arsenal of lineart to colour so I can reel them off here one after the other.

I am eargerly anticipating the launch of the Playstation 3 here in the gloriously 'left-behind' United Kingdom. It seems that we ALWAYS get everything a year after the rest of the world, like scraps fed to a dog.

23rd of March be the date of launch and I have the day readily booked off work so I can go claim my wonderful new toy!
My love Beth believes that she is to become a 'videogame widow' next week... *I'm sure I can work out some visiting rights!

Um, yeah.

As you may have noticed I haven't submitted anything for a good while. And now I give you another ID photo... Feel cheated?

I don't know what the problem is at the moment, I've just lost the ability to sit down and draw. It almost feels like I have no interest in drawing at all at present. Just diving into my journal whislt on lunch at work so I'll say thank you quickly for 19,000 pageviews. *applauses everybody*
I'm going to try my hardest to get something drawn for the big 20,000... though I'll have to be quick if I'm gonna hit that target.

In the gallery,

Three Tee designs for the Mamoo (Manga Moods) t-shirt design competition. This is a competition being run in the Uk's one and only Manga, Anime, Asian Film, Game and Cosplay magazine... NEO.

One of these you'll have already seen once, the other two are currently existing artwork fitted to a home-made t-shirt template.

I've seen some of the other design submissions... I think I've got my work cut out somewhat! One of the submitees is known as 'Matt B' and has some really awsome designs worthy of a whole series of t-shirts.

Well then.

I came to check things here quickly whilst on my lunch break at work and to my surprise you've all jumped my views up to 17,000+.
I'd just like to thank you all for sticking with me even though my artwork and submissions have been sparce lately.

As I've said before I'm working on things in whatever spare time I have and plan to hit DA hard with a barrage of artwork in a couple of weeks or so.

It's been difficult though. Yesterday I managed to get sent home from work for fainting... With the heavy machinery and such it wouldn't have been a great idea to stay as there would have been a trip to the hospital. Back at work today though... Great.

Hello.

Thank you to everybody for 16,000 pageviews, and more.

Sadly I have to report that all artwork at the moment is on definate hold until I can find time to draw between work and much needed sleep.

I am sketching things here and there, like when I'm on my lunch break at work and when I 'should' be sleeping, but nothing really worth submitting I afraid.

The comic is also on hold, as some of you may have noticed...
I can't beleive that it's been offline for five weeks.
It's a real let down because I wanted to keep it running every week, with out fail and, well I failed.

Not to worry I do have artwork that needs finishing in Photoshop so I should be able to post some stuff soon...

I'll keep you updated, so stay posted.

Hey, News and stuff from the world of Kuumuzu...

Work is killing me... I'm so tired I could sleep for a week without waking up. I have no time to draw and the comic has fallen behind by nearly four weeks now. I'm sorry to say that work comes first, but I'm going to have to. I need the money... and the sleep.

In the gallery:

Two versions of one picture... Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex. An original sketch and a marker coloured 'played with' version.

Also, a new character design for a series of t-shirts...
The unoriginally named 'Fuku Girl'.

I've put up the full character picture and also a design sheet showing three different colour t-shirts, the pink one being a girls tee. Of course pink would be available for guys too...

These are only 'designs' at the moment and won't be printed as t-shirts for quite a while...
I have begun working with the owner of a local shop called 'Juicy' and plan to create many different designs and artworks to be used as prints as well as on t-shirts, hoodies, keyrings... etc.
It's all just a lot of ideas at the moment and nothing has been confirmed, I just hope that I have finally got my foot in the door to a whole new world of showcasing my artwork. And in my own hometown too! ^^

I'd love it if you could let me know what you'd like to see on t-shirts and such an I can work towards creating some funky fasion and accessories.

I'm struggling to find my place with what artwork and commissions I'm doing at the moment, and of course I have to buck up my ideas and continue the comic 'Untitled'.
I sure as hell don't want to stop, I'm burried with being at work and sleeping at the moment and I've spent far too long on it now to give up...
