That pretty much sums up my attitude to art. I'd love to do lots but its not feasible, so when I do something that's worth sharing I'll put on here.

My girlfriend has been kind enough to let me do glass work at hers, because I have no room at my place, as I starting a coffee business and my garage is full with my roaster and coffee beans.

I'm planning to sell my coffee beans art farmers markets and also going to take along some art as well, to make my stall as interesting as possible, hence the experimentation of hessian and spray paint.

I was throwing bits away and it was just a bit depressing! So many ideas just thrown away.
I need to focus on trying to set up my business (which I'm keeping pretty close to my chest) and I can't have many distractions.

I will be back one day. When I'm self employed and hopefully have a spare few hours here and there.

I've been away for some time and I'm back now (sort of).

I learned a great deal in 2011. It was a challeneging year in my personel life which impacted upon my creativity. I had bursts of effort and made a few items but what I learned most of all was my limititions. I had ideas for glass projects and develop my drawing with the idea of a graphic novel. I did little drawing and the graphic novel is in no way going to be completed for forseeable future. People are burning down buildings which surived the Blitz during World War 2 and looting shops.

It started in London as a peaceful protest to a man being shot by the police and soon it escalted into chaos. The riots then spread to other cities, such as Manchester and Nottingham. 30 people fire bombed a police station in Nottingham and 3 people died protecting their shop against looters as a car was driven into them.

The police were struggling to cope, theres been a number of cut backs in govenment spending which means theres been less police and they have been struggling to stop this.

Update on current projects:

Drawing: I haven't drawn in over a week, so I need to -re-devbeote time to this, I feel I was really getting somewhere.

Stencil: I'm currently working on a really exciting MGS stencil, which has got me really pumped... I'm gonna work on this alot!

T-shirt: I've made a cool T-shirt for my Daughters 1st Birthday, although the t-shirt was sprayed on Friday its still tacky! The paint was too thick and think I'lluse another type of paint. I'll upload a photo of this within a week.

But now it seems I have some interesting ideas I want to follow up...

First off, I went to Lanzarote and when I was there I collect some beach glass, I now have quite a bit of this (most of it from the UK) and I have an idea... When I have enough of it, I would like to re-create a glass bottle, maybe a wine bottle, by copper foiling the pieces and then soldering them together, I think this could look pretty interesting, of course most beach/sea glass is from beer bottles so I think this would be quite unique.

It was really great to see lots of other peoples work, as everyone creates soething different, from one person who focused on Oriental theme art to another whos glass work was very sublime and very pyschedlic.

The aim of the exhibits are for students to share their work with each other, discuss ideas and generally meet up and have a chat. I will still attend the studio where I did my course for 3 hours every thursday evening.

Once the course is done I really want to create some album art but I spoke to my tutor and he thinks its a good idea to work on some areas which I have trouble- for example I get hugley frustrated with the leaded panels- I find them very tricky and I just need to build up my confidence...

Its a free exhibt with stencil work, animatronics and sculptures. Its ending on the 31/08/2009 and tomorrow I'm heading up there! Along with my girlfriend and my sister.

Apparently the queues are massive! 3-4 hours- so we're leaving at 6am to get there 8 and then start queuing (it opens at 10am) If I don't see this I will be very disapointed!

I'm going to take some photos- but shall I post them on here? I obviously won't claim any of it as my own work but I'm sure lots of people would like to see whats there. At the moment I'm really looking forward to finishing my stained glass course- I've enjoyed it so much more than I expected but I'm already thinking of what I can do with glass in the future.

I think after I do my first fused pixel art I'll be doing some more- probably do a mario or yoshi and maybe a megaman- starting off with ideas which aren't too complex (number of pieces or colours)

I'm currently doing a stained glass city and guilds course and for my main leaded project I'm doing some art inspired from Bioshock- I'm currently drawing up my design and I hope its going to be good!

Also will be fusing my stained glass Link togther- currently doing some test firing- to see if the glass is compatible- the overall image will be fused onto a clear piece of glass and I might frame it... We'll see...

Also working on a really cool stencil- from one of my favourite game series! I'm hoping to have that done in the next couple of days...
