So... So I haven't posted a journal in ages. Nor have I written much for The Everything Girl, although the story has been evolving in my mind. On the other hand, I've got a bunch of other stuff coming together, such as the storyline for a novel project of mine as well as university applications. Yeah, I've decided this summer that engineering just wasn't going to satisfy me for the rest of my life... So I'd rather hit the litterature scene I've been accepted into 2 litterature degrees but the one I'm holding my breath for is Creative Writing at Concordia. Cross your fingers with me, will ya?

On another note, I'll be participating in Itti's Secret Santa project. Can't wait, by Saturday, I should know who my giftee will be! I'm pretty anxious to get started. I have a gazillion ideas to decorate the pages of whatever I'll be writing with drawings and doodles... I want it to be eye catching! And hopefully I'll be sufficiently satisfied to scan it and post it here ^^

Oh yeah. I have a gazillion doodles I want to a) finish up and clean or b) just plain clean up to post up here. I'm actually pretty proud of my doodles. It's not faces or people or animals or anything like that, it's... it's... very hard to describe. And I'd say that it's similar to what my tattoo is like but barely anybody here knows what it looks like... Ah well. Guess I'll have to post up a picture... I'll see. But whatever. Doodles are priority.

By the way, any Wheel of Time fans around here? The 12th book is out and Brandon Sanderson seems to have done a mighty good job taking up the challenge of finishing Robert Jordan's series. I can make out his own style, but he's blending himself so well with the story that it really doesn't matter! I'm having a great time reading The Gathering Storm so far

Okay, so that was it for this randomness of a journal, I won't keep you much longer... Otherwise I'll end up babbling like usual. Take care, yall!

Love,
Pat

PS: My birthday's coming up, I'm getting pretty anxious!! I think I can feel the wisdom cranking up a notch... Or not x)

Edit: btw, the next chapter of 1/2 Prince is out... Gosh, I wish the updates were more frequent! *blubbers*

Hey everyone!!

So I decided today that I'm participating in Leucan's Shaved Head Challenge. Leucan is Quebec's foundation supporting leukemic children and their families. And the Shaved Head Challenge is exactly what it's name calls for; shaving heads to raise money for the foundation.

I've wanted to participate for a few years now but never really got around to doing it. But here goes. I'm sufficiently ahead of time so I figured "Why not?". My boyfriend isn't all too keen on the idea but he will support me all the way through and probably tease me to death once my hair is reduced to only a few milimeters long. Although I have to say, the idea of having shorter hair than him sort of scares me. Actually, it gives me the jitters like crazy. But I shall succeed! I will do it! I figure it's for a good cause. No, more than good... An excellent cause! And it will also cross it off on my "Things To Do Before I Die" list!

So if you're interested in donating or just to see what the site is, here is my participant page: [link]

Wish me luck!

So I topped the 1000 pageviews a week and a half ago. Yeah, it's cool, I'm chill about it... Aww, who am I kidding I'm SUPERCALIFRADGLISTIKEXPLIALIDOCIOUSLY HAPPY!!!!!!! And I could add a hundred more adjectives before the word happy. I'm thrilled, even thought compare to many, it's an infinitely small amount. I mean, after all, I haven't been on DA for a year yet, thought I've accumulated many years of fandom.

So as I'm trying to figure out what I'll do for a 1000 views thank you (or maybe a 1111 views, I like those way more ), I wanted to say thank you here, in my journal, to all those who have visited my page, added favourites, added me to their watch list and commented on my stuff. Because it sometimes still feels strange to call my work art, considering I get the ideas pretty easily... It sometimes seems that everyone is like that when in fact, I just have a really active (and often childworthy) imagination.

So a gazillion big hugs ans kisses and a million years worth of love to all of you!!! You make every one of my days special as I see that people have been interested in my page

School's started again. Two weeks for Christmas is so short!! Especially when one has an engineering competition to prepare for. Yep, I missed my 3 first days of class for a 5 day competition... We didn't win much but we sure did have an amazing time!! So now I'm catching up in Differential Equations and Electricity and Magnetism while looking forward to yet another competition no sooner than next week!

So that's what's up with my life. Oh yeah, I have photoshop now. I don't have a clue how to do any of the cool stuff others do with it so I'm going to just... Play around with it, swear a little, play some more then get used to the idea I need to actually read about it, find myself cornered with nothing better to do and finally read up on the subject. All in all, that will probably take a while, especially considering I have to do just that with C programming, but with an accelerated process because school just doesn't wait around for anyone. On the other hand, I can't wait to be able to write programs for silly little games like Minesweeper

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I'll begin taking djembe lessons next week and for the next 9 weeks over lunch hours. How cool is that? My school, an engineering faculty, organizing djembe and guitar classes for really cheap!! I can't wait to get started!!!

Hugs!!

Yays!! I've finally finished writing chapter 5 to The Everything Girl. Didja know that chapter 4 officially beat Muted something like 3 weeks ago? Yep! I've got high hopes for chapter 5. It's not that long but I hope it will have people smiling a little. I sure chuckled while writing it.

On another note, I've been mighty unlucky lately. So I have to say that it was such a relief to see that the few people who saw the two new photos I added (Luna and Cutting Awayblabla) really enjoyed them. So big thanks to those who saw them (even thought you probably won't read this)! You really made my day on one that most desperately needed it. And I luvzzz you for it!!!

And now, to quote the famous Red Green... Keep your stick on the ice!

PS: Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you... It's my birthday after tomorrow

Wowsie! I never expected my texts to be *legasp* read by so many. I mean, 115 views for the 4th chapter of The Everything Girl, I'm amazed!! I really should give myself the kick in the butt I need to start up on the 5th chapter, I think some would be real glad. Gosh, it's so great to know that (even if only a few) people are waiting to read the update! It's a real heart-warmer. Especially with the temperature going down nearly every day now... Speaking of which, I'll have to get my softshell out pretty soon. Hehe, to think my roommate (who's French, btw) already has her winter coat on the ready

On that note, I think I'll get back to my math homework. I never thought I'd say this, but thank God our teacher gives us hard work to do... It'll be making the exams so much easier! And finally, math has gone back to being the fun thing it used to be, yays!

Oh yeah, and as soon as I can find the cable I need, I have a whole bunch of pictures to go through. I made another trip to the Montreal Biodome and got absolutely fabulous shots on birds I hadn't been able to catch last time as well as on the golden lion tamarin, whose last picture was slightly blurred. Oh yeah, I also had the chance to see the Madagascar lemur, visiting the Biodome for a short while. Can't wait to share them with yall!
