The teams consisted of Terra and Gau on team 1, Cyan, Edgar, and Locke on Team 2, and Sabn and Celes on Team 3. Team 3 was the one I defeated Kefka with, though it took a bit of strategizing.

With Celes low on MP and HP, My first instinct was to have her use Runic all the way to absorb Kefka's magic powers while Sabin did the damage to him. This would've been fine had Kefka not physically attacked, killing Celees and then zapping Sabin with magic.

This continued for awhile, which made me worry about having to restart again. It was on the way back that i got into a random encounter and discovered something interesting. At some points when Shadow was in the party, a dog ran onscreen, barking, and attacked enemies for me. After making my way to Kefka again, the battle with the four guards went a LOT quicker--though helped by the fact that Sabin leveled up by the time I got back.

I've been thinking on and off about what I like/don't like about the Megaman comic and, to an extent, the franchise as a whole. One of my earlier posts complained about a lack of "heart"--emotional resonance to characters. And that can be hard when adapting a simple game to a long-term comic format. Sonic had the benefit of the cartoon's characters, and Megaman certainly has a lot of characters to play off of.

So AMA, me, and other big-name fans got an advance copy of some Act II supplemental material. Entitled 'Act II: The Private Logs', it was journal entries, computer transcriptions, etc., of Wily and Light during and before Act II.

It was a mix of the Megaman cartoon, the Protomen, LEGOs, and real life. I was at school when Dr. Wily's voice came over the airwaves and brainwashed everyone somehow. Since I was listening to the Protomen at the time I was unaffected.

What was weird was that, in a line verbatim from the cartoon episode 'Cold Steel', Wily told us to go to some mountain or something. Knowing that if I didn't go he'd get suspicious, I pretended to be brainwashed.

The episode was "Goodbye, Baku". Even if you're not a dog-lover, you will be BAWLING by the end.

Basically, Genki and company found a Baku, a monster who's like a big friendly dog. It latched onto Genki immediately, protecting him from harm. As it turns out, the Baku's owner had been killed by Moo's forces. And his owner looked like Genki. As a puppy, he tried to fight them off, but failed...

I was at a school-sponsored business contest thing, held yearly. I was at it last year, too. Both years, I made it to the state competition. Last year i didn't place, though.

This year, I placed 3rd in Advanced Word Processing. In the entire state of Ohio.
