I love working there, because everybody is really nice. I don't have a lot of time for drawing or coming to DA, though.

The next week, the woman who is in charge of me is going on holidays, so I'll be in charge of most of the duties of the lab. I'm really nervous, because I've only worked there for a week and I don't know if I can do it. I hope everything comes out right.

Also, I bought myself a subscription again. Now I can use the thumbnails and stamps here in my journal and a lot of things more... I still don't know how everything works, but I'll learn. I´ve added my favorite stamps here, just to try this feature...

I know I still have some art trades going on with some of you, but I don't have a lot of time now, so they might take a while to be ready... I'm sorry for that.

I want to do a lot of things, and I have now the time to do them, but I want to do all of them so much that I cannot choose a single one to focus my attention on it.

Projects I've got started:
1) Coloring my tiefling
2) Redoing Sherlina, :devengerin:'s snake woman.
3) Drawing Istixia (aka. Izzy, nothing to do with D&D's Istishia... I just took the inspiration for the name looking D&D deity names XD) from the Ravnica (Magic: the Gathering) D&D adaptation I'm storytelling.
4) Drawing Valania and Zoltan, also from Ravnica, in a D&D book style. Both are mad cultists of a demon (cult of Rakdos) and they are really fun to draw.
5) Drawing Elena and Tanya, an unusual couple from Demon:the Fallen... Well, Tanya is a Werewolf, I'll tell the story some day.
6) Thanks to ~Vladimir3d now I'm drawing also Zhyzhak (W:tA) in her homid form. He didn't ask for an art exchange, but I always wanted to draw Zhyzhak, so I accepted the idea anyway.
7) Drawing Hilda and Brisa together... I had a nice idea for that one.

I have also 2 art exchanges going one, one with ~lancea and other with ~Galatea-DNegro, but I still don't know what to draw for ~lancea and I'm still thinking for a nice idea for the drawing for Galatea.

I'll probably focus on Sherlina for *Vengerin and Athan for ~Galatea-DNegro, because I'll go insane if I don't stop working on everything at the same time!

Now, I only have to do one more exam, to make a presentation of the essay I've been doing all this year to all my class (it's about stem cells, and it's a bit difficult and boring, but I am optimist with it). I have to do it today. Wish me luck, even though I won't probably be here to read it before I present it XD

I see it so near that I don't believe it's possible. I still think I'm going to fail and have to be there for another 3 months even though I know I've been getting high marks for all these 2 years.

Also, my glasses are broken. They won't be fixed in a week or two, and I have a terrible headache because I can't go without them.

My scanner is definitely broken, so I'll have to fine any other ways to upload my pictures. I have 6 images I want to scan, I hope I can do it soon.

I know I don't really have terrible problems... But I feel a bit sad anyway. Too much stress because the proximity of my final exams, I guess.

Anyway, I'll be better. Brighter days will come. I just need to relax a bit.

About my laptop... I'm kinda glad with it. I'm playing again V:tM Bloodlines (which I had started playing a few days before my old PC crashed). It also can make wireless connections, and I have a free access connection from my room... But I still couldn't make it work. I can use one from my classroom, but I cannot take my laptop there all days. I'll continue trying to make it work. If anyone can give me some advice on wireless conections, I'd be very grateful.

Another new is that I am making some progresses with my attempts of drawing crinos forms... I know I posted it yesterday, but today I've been practising all morning, and I have 2 pictures in progress. They are not great, but I think they don't look too awful. I'll upload them so I can get some advice to improve my style.

I've been trying for about a month. I've been looking galleries of some people who draw werewolves, to get a bit of the technique, and now I'm starting. I might upload any of my attempts if I get any ressults that don't completely suck.

Anyway, I feel already lucky because I've got a lot of awesome art for my faves and I've known the wonderful *CrescentMoon who also plays W:tA and is from Spain as me.

I've counted my favorites... I have about 500 pieces now. I'm an art freak, that's official. But, what am I going to do if I find great all the pictures in this list? I'm not going to delete any of them.

Aside from that, I've had a heavy day in school (which doesn't mean that they were playing Metallica in the speakers) and I feel tired, but kinda glad, because taking note of the weird speech of my Biochemistry teacher has made the time go faster. I might write some of his infamous quotes some day, even though they'll be in Spanish.

What else? Ah, yes, I'm researching some stuff for a project for school about stem cells so my brain is bursting with stem stuff... But I love making researches, so I don't care (continues searching)

And, to finish all this random things, I've been tagged to do this thing, so here is it:

I hadn't looked at my pageviews in a lot of time (maybe in 2 years) and I got surprised when I realized that now I have more than 14,000 pageviews. I'm glad now and I feel proud.

I know I have not commented all of you, because I don't have so much time, but I've seen everything, I swear. And now, I've done it. I'm officially back.

I still don't have a PC, so the scans of my pictures will continue being a big and stinky piece of shit and I won't be online all the time I would like to. Also, don't expect to see any pieces of digital work until I get my new PC (which can be tomorrow or can be in a few months), but asides from that, you can count with me for checking my DA often.

Now I've started classes again, and I won't say that studying for being a Lab Technician (sp?) is such a hard work (at least I relax and take it easy like Mika says) , but it takes time, so I'll probably draw less than I've been doing at summer... And I still have about 10 pictures that I MUST finish, some of them art exchanges with friends... *Sighs* I'm going to be busy ^^U

Wow... I'm glad. This has been my first long journal since September 2004! That must mean that I'm back FOR REAL ^^U

Nothing more to say. I'll be around, even if I don't write any journals... I'm too lazy and I'm not good at this (and I still think that my English is not as good as it should be).

*Sighs* Nah... It hasn't anything to do with DA, but this is the only ACTIVE journal I'm writing, and I had to write it down anywhere...

One of the "bosses" of my RPG club has kicked me out! Why? Just because we held a discussion and I said to him "Sometimes you look like you were stupid"... And now he says that I broke some rules and that I have been mean to other members of the club! I just can't understand... I've always have a nice relationship with other members, and just because we held a discussion he wants me out! Just because I asked him for the members having more freedom of speech! Well, that's definitely NOT freedom of speech...

OK, think what you want, maybe I'm the guilty one, I don't know, but from my perspective it seems like a completely unfair choice... I hope other members see things the same as me and help me with that, because I know it's the only way they would let me come back...

Now that I felt like uploading some pics, my PC is broken... Well, I hope I'll be able to fix it (or something) soon, because I've done some new pics and they are pleading me to color them.

I usually hate this kind of stuff, but this time I thought it could be fun to fill it, though. If somebody knows which are the missing questions please tell me.

Too many to tell here... Mainly LeonaHeidern, Delta, and my opwn name, Leila.

002 How did you get the name?
LeonaHeidern- She's my favorite character from King of Fighters
Delta- She's my V:tM most used character.
Leila- My mother gave me that name, and I like it

003 Do you use PC or Mac?
PC

004 What software you use most often?
For my drawings? Painter Classic and sometimes Photodeluxe. I would like to have Photoshop, but I don't.

005 Do you use mouse, or tablet?
Tablet

006 The color you use most often is?
Earth tones... and black

007 What area of the pictures do you put most effort into?
None! I just start coloring and I let it be how it wants... I'm so lazy... Well, I sometimes spend a bit more time in the hair and the eyes, but only when I feel like it.

008 How long does it take you do draw a picture?
Just the lineart, from 10 minutes to half an hour. To color it, 3 hours max.

009 Do you keep your rough drafts?
Only until I clean my bedroom.

012 Do you do anything else when you're drawing pictures?
Watch TV (listen TV, to be more accurate), listen music... Sometimes I chat when I'm coloring, but I end not answering to the people I'm chatting with or not coloring the picture.

Yes

I like, but I haven't done much dojinshi and all my comics are crap.

021 Who are your favorite artists?
Uh... Let's start.
From DA, I really like Kunkka's art. He's a great artist and I like his style a lot.
Then, I like Luis Royo's art too, he's just so talented.
And finally, I recently found a taste for Christopher Shy's art. His art is dark, with a mix between realism and surrealism. Very original.
There are a lot more, but It would be too difficult to tell. Check my friend list, there are great ones there.

022 What's your favourite Anime/Manga?
Hum... Ruroni Kenshin, Slayers, Blame!, X1999... Agh, too many to tell.

Dificult choice! Now I can't think a fair list of favorite characters, so I'm going to say "my own ones".

I won't be able to upload stuff, since my internet is definitely stupid and won't obey me. Now being serious... I can only enter MSN messenger and a few other applications, but not IE or any other browser.

I'll probably surf the internet from my university PCs, but I don't have my stuff there, so I won't upload anything.

I don't know if my PC has a virus or it is plain stupid and dumb (like I said before) but I hope I can fix it soon. It might be for a week, a few week or (hell, no!) even some months.

I finally could check old deviations from my friend list, surf DA and devwatch and fave things like hell.

You should check the pages of the last people that I added to my devwatch, because some of their art is pure gold. Well, I started checking from friend list (I do it very often, great artists usually have another great artists in their friend list), so a lot of them come from there.

I wanted to organize my "footer" a bit better and divide people between "great artists" and "friends" but then I thought "Hell no!". Some of the great artists are good friend of mine, and some friends of mine are also great artists so... I'll keep them together... Anyway, I'm thinking of rewriting my "footer", adding some people and removing another.

By the way, Alseid, Where in the Hell are your pics? You haven't updated in months, man. Are you still thinking your stuff is crap? Uhm, I've just remembered that I owe you a pic (and you owe me one to)...

Wheeew! It's late! I've got to go to class!

Well, before I leave, I'll just say that I recovered my inspiration (I guess it was in my other trousers) and I'm starting to draw again. Yes, the damn book has already came out, but as I'm Spanish, the book won't come until it's released in Spanish (in a long, looong, time... ).
I've already read a lot of spoilers, and I'm obsessed with getting the guide. I already have thought about some minor changes I'm going to apply to the story, and which version I'm going to use (well, after reading the book I might change my mind). Now the problem is that... I CAN´T GET THE FUCKING BOOK! (No, let's not insult the book, it's not its fault)
I suppose I'll download it when somebody scans it to PDF file and buy it when it comes out in Spain. I'm lucky of not having a lot of problems with my English. Yes, I know it's not a very good thing to "steal" books like this, but I don't think I have another way. International shipping is too damn expensive... So I'll have to wait. And I don't want to, because we're playing our chronicles almost at real time, and we're now stuck in early December.

Man, I'm really, really obsessed. Somebody here was talking about "thin something" and I thought they were talking about "Thin Blood". Sometimes I hope I didn't feel so easily obsessed with things.

Well, now talking about DA, I like the new features and so... The friend list might be under the favorites list instead of under the journal, but it's OK anyway. Now I'm trying the new journal. It looks nice. And the new " today's faves/today's prints" looks much better than the old one.

I'm now working on a few pictures, but I know the most of them won't make it... I'm so uninspired... And busy studying for my university exams. I have an exam on Friday... Damn... I'd rather be at home than staying on this city for another day. I don't hate it, but all "my people" is in my home city.

Well, I've already divagated too much, so I'll write more another day.

I love his drawing style, it's almost perfect, with so much detail.

Yesterday, I bought one of his books " Millenium III".

I showed it to my aunt, who lives with me. And... do you know what he said?

"I can't believe you're buying PORNOGRAPHY. This is the kind of book fifteen-year-old guys hide under their bed to keep it away from his parents. And NO woman would draw this kind of stuff because it's not artistic. It looks like S&M. This women look like whores. The guy who drew it must be a pervert or something. You better return this book to the shop, because if I see it again I'll throw it in the dustbin"

I was really sad. I hated her for not being able to see further. She could only see those girls in skimpy outfits and revealing poses. Why a dead guy who has drawn a naked person is an artist and a guy who is alive is just a pervert? Damn people with their dirty minds... It's just art... No matter the theme you draw about. Too many people censors art just because the theme... Where's the freedom of speech? If you don't like something and it doesn't hurt anybody... why should you keep other people from watching it? I just can't understand it.

She made me feel like I was a pervert or something... But now I don't care. I'd rather be pervert than blind.

Sorry for the long speech. I needed to tell it somewhere, and I thought it could be the right place. Please, I'd like to get some opinions about this.

I still can't continue painting my stuff because I can't CG here, but I'll be at home on friday, so I hope I can finish my entry for

I'm about having 2 weeks of holiday. I don't specially like Christmas, but at least I won't have to be traveling twice per week (I study on another city but spend weekends at home). Anyway, I start my exams on January, so I won't have a real holiday.

Finally! I was able to draw Anatole! (can't show the pic, I don't have my scanner here) He doesn't look very Malkavian, though VV... But at least I tried. I based the pic on the one in Malkavian clan novel cover, the same outfit and such. Now I'm trying my best with a background (the ones who know me a bit will know I'm a complete nuisance with backgrounds). I want to make the scene from the Malkavian novel when he arrives to the cave where Leopold made his *ahem* sculpture, so I'm getting tired of drawing statueized Gangrels. I'm finding some dificulties, because I'm doing MY view on the cave. I know it has to be some sort of disturbingly beautiful thing... But my idea of beautiful is... well, something between a gangrel's and a tzimisce's... So it will probably be more primitive-looking and disturbing than beautiful. I also found some problems with the gangrels... They should look like statues, also like gangrels and finally they should look like they were in some sort of pain, as many of them were still alive... *Sighs* I hope the results are worthy the time I'm wasting. Yesterday I forgot to have dinner because I was so busy drawing that the hours passed and I didn't even notice... When I realized it was around 12.30 in the night... Well... Actually the main pic (Anatole and Hannah's statue) took me around 15 minutes... But I wasted a lot of sheets of paper until the good one came in... It's so frustrating when you have the whole thing in your mind but you can't translate it into a picture... Now I just have to add some more gangrels to the background and it will be done...

Whew... It was a long speech... I usually don't speak for so long about a picture I'm planning to do... But I usually don't try to draw scenes from books, so this one is a bit different from my habitual stuff...
