Fra Fee has been cast as Courfeyrac in the Les Mis movie! And I think I totally saw him on the West End in the show this spring! Will have to check my program when I get home.

Anyway, he's officially on the IMDB page and you can check out pics of his cute self here.

(BTW- I'm very pleased that my character is being played by such a cutie)

Also, Alistair Brammer  (Jean Prouvaire) and Killain Donnely  (Combeferre) have both mentioned the casting in their Twitters! Although they are not officially listed on IMDB yet.

Taylor Swift has been passed over. The role of Eponine has gone to Samantha Barks from the 25th Anniversary Concert instead. I'm not a huge fan of Samantha, but I will HAPPILY take her over Taylor. She's got experience and true pipes. Hopefully someone will talk to her about smoothing out her accent.

The Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Concert DVD is finally up for preordering in Amazon.com (20 $), as is the Blu-ray version (28 $).
Both will come out on February 22 - less than a month left anymore! :la:

The Matt Lucas document about the concert has been put to YouTube. The quality is not the greatest out there, though...

I gather this must mean the DVD will be released around that time, too.
Of course I can't say that for certain, but I believe it's rather rare to release a Blu-ray version of something without releasing the DVD.

Coincidentally, not only did I volunteer to help with this club this summer, but I also assistant directed a local production of the musical of Les Miserables! This show was such a struggle and a triumph. What was interesting, is three years ago, I was Courferyrac for this same company. (They've decided to make Les Mis a tradition).

There's still a few things that need to get done, like reorganizing the blogs and creating a new system of rules now that we're a group, not just a club. For the most part though, this group is up and functioning like it should! So here's a run down of how things are working now:
