I'm a big fan of movies...particularly those that feature some sort of transformation in them. Unfortunately, due to budget, time, lack of resources, most promising movie or television transformations either occur off camera or are poorly done.

An example of this, and the subject of this contest, is the character Sorsha from the movie Willow.

As many of you already know, Sorsha, along with her new boyfriend Madmartigan and an entire army, are forcibly transformed into pigs by Sorsha's mother, Bavmorda. This scene caught me off guard when I originally saw the movie in the theater. My latest photomanipulation, Red Riding Hood, is an example.

In this version of the story, Red begins to change into a wolf.

I've had a few people come up with ideas for other fairy tale transformations but I'd love to hear some more ideas.

Over the past few months I have discovered that quite a bit of my artwork has been posted on websites other than deviantArt without my permission.

Out of respect for my model, I have chosen to remove all photomanipulations of her (there may be a few exceptions). It bums me out but I have not been able to find a better solution.

I still plan on posting photomanipulations based on stock found here on deviantArt. I also plan on using my model for commissions if a model is requested.

I just want to thank all those of you who commissioned artwork or who bought a print. Thanks to you, I was able to purchase a replacement monitor and still stay within budget. I really do appreciate the support and I hope that you are happy with your artwork or your print(s).

I'm sure some of you are wondering why the lack of updates. Where is the female teenwolf sequence? Where are the next two Beauty as a Beast photos? I usually try to put at least one or two photomanipulation out a month.

Well...a month or so ago, my HP monitor stopped working properly. At first the screen would just randomly go black and would solve the problem by turning the power off then back on again.

About a two weeks ago my temporary "power off then on again" solution stopped working altogether. About a week ago, I finally finished replying to the 783M, 168C that I received in the 24 hours following the DD I received on Aqua Change II.

The move is done...well at least the actual relocation-of-all-our-possessions part of the move. There are still many boxes that need unpacking before the place feels like home.

Things have been quite slow as far as posting new art. This has been a very busy summer. Back in June I began house hunting as a result of being fed up with loud and inconsiderate neighbors. Two months later, I own a house and all of the fun maintenance work that comes with that. The big move will be tomorrow. I must admit that I am really going to miss some (but not all) aspects of renting. At least now my monthly mortgage payment is going toward a house instead of toward nothing.

I'd like to thank those who left feedback regarding prints with borders versus prints without borders. While I personally love the way a print looks with a border, I have chosen to sell prints without borders for the time being. The absence of a border makes it much easier for me to submit a print without having to crop too much of the image away. I also do not want to deal with crooked or uneven borders.

Well, as of today, I have posted the last of the images I created as part of my thesis project. Overall I got some good feedback and a ton of really nice comments. It was a great project and I would love to eventually do a part 2.

Because I really don't have any more "old" artwork to post, updates may be few and far between. My requests for specific stock photos (based on sketches in my scrap gallery) went unanswered. A few kind individuals pointed me to stock in their galleries but nothing was shot based on those sketches. I'm kinda bummed, as there were some fun poses there.

As is life, I have been quite busy with things other than photomanipulation. I am still able to submit new artwork because I have been submitting older pieces. What is old to me is new to most of you. At some point, however, my cache of old artwork is going to run out.

My art was recently found on a another website. The title and my name were missing from the lower left-hand corner. Now I'm sure this isn't the first time this has occurred but it is the first time it has been brought to my attention. I have added the watermark as a deterent to such actions. I'm sure it won't put an end to the problem but it will make posting my art elsewhere more difficult.

Why do you create images of people changing into animals?

Because I can. Well, that, and because I have always been interested in the idea of one thing becoming another.

When you imagine a person transforming into an animal, there is an in between stage where there are visual characteristics of both the person and the animal. What this looks like is different for every person who visualizes it. My art is what I happen to think that in between stage would look like.
