I did some math in my head, and I reached the conclusion that if I don't start working on it like EVERY DAY, I'm practically screwed in getting all 12 (or more?) chapters finished before everyone disappears and I never see them again. I have less than a year... and it takes fucking ages. I would be better off finding someone to add the screentones for me, but... well, it's my baby^^ can't give it away to just anyone.

Like going to Japan for a year. 43 000 swedish kronor (roughly 2900£), it's a real groovy thing, living with a family and all. Problem is just the money thing... where the hell am I gonna get 3000£ from (without selling drugs or my body haha)?

I should find some scholarships... yeah, scholarships would be cool. But for what? I'm like the definition of mediocre when it comes to school work, and I don't know, feels like scholarships is for brainy people. And the reason I'm not considering taking a job here is 'cause I don't have a work permit and therefor can't work legally here in England.

Anyhoo, met my grandma too and gave her a pic I did (and I didn't have time to scan it before I left unfortunately...), and my mom told me that they'd been on the phone, and my grandma had been like: "Yeah, Hanna (my older sis) has sent me some good art too, but I think Ellika's the true artist in the family" Yeaaah, I kick ass^^ thanks granny. I'm acknowledged by a 93-year old lady. Cute though.

I drew some stuff for Erik (the guy I was living with, he's a sweetie and it's way too empty sleeping on my own now, kinda miss him, he's a great friend) and Fishy. Fishy's stuff was kinda rough and rushed though, 'cause I did it on the plane. When I appologized and was all like "sorry it's so crappy", he was like: "Yeah. Horribly crappy. Suuuuure. You kick some serious ass". And you know what I realized this morning? I was keeping the pictures safe for them and accidently brought them back to England with me. GOD I'm so stupid sometimes. Ah well, that means I can submit them.

Speaking of submitting... my comic is almost finished. My parents are out buying the special pen I need as we speak (my foot's fucked up, I have no idea what I've done). It's getting a little stressed now too, I mean, it's due to be in Sweden the 13th and I need Joel's approval before. I'll submit it sometime soon.


OH! And I've been hired. I'm gonna go into psychadelic photography (DON'T ask me how...). I was asked by Andrew, the son of some people my parents work with, to do some art for his band (he's the drummer and waaaay cute, how could I say no?^^). Anyhoo, I was sitting there on my floor just feeling like something my sister Hanna back home would look at and say "looks like you've been drugged, thrown into a ditch and crawled all the way home", when I started doodling my Christmas present for one of my best guy friends, Erik (who I'm also gonna celebrate new years at back home^^ yay) (oh yeah, and I asked what he wanted for Christmas, and all he replied was "a drawing and a hug". How sweet is that?), when I (dammit, this sentence is getting long, sorry for boring you^^) remembered a conversation/fight I had with my inkybrother over artistic jealousy. I'm naturally a rather jealous, territorial person, so I almost get offended when people are more talented than me. We were kinda discussing how crap it would be if I'd get a boyfriend with a talent for art, 'cause my "artistic jealousy" (or "stupidity" as my inkybrother would probably put it) would just eat up all emotion and make me view the person as a rival instead. I am such a sad person^^ I'm so sad I almost cried when Haku died in Naruto (WHAT, he's like my favourite character, Haku kicked ass). But hey, artistic jealousy is a good thing, it made me a ninja (yes, that's also Naruto's fault. dammit, i'm so sad^^).

ANYWAYS ('cause ninjas have absolutely nothing to do with this), I wanted to draw a portrait of Mi-chan as pretty as my inkybrother's done, and I remembered me groaning about not being able to draw portraits and him just telling me to stop be such an emo and just try harder^^ but hey, everyone has their own style. So I just gave up trying to draw a serious portrait of Mi-chan, and I drew him in manga, and I was just awed by the utter kawaii-ness.

I heard the little lying monster in my mouth tell Fara's mom that "change is good" while heading out the door, longing to just throw my stuff and run back to mornings of waking up with Fara poking my side or watching Conan O'Brien and joking with japanese words until way past midnight or falling asleep curled up on the bed like a kitten soothed by the steady noise of the typewriter. Smiling and waving I said goodbye, but truth is, I'm heartbroken.

Love being home. Love Joel for what he did to my hair (it took 12 hours [!], noodles and zombie noises from Resident Evil II to make it look this great), it's all purple LONG yarn (it was knee-length to start with but now it's just "ass-length") and I just love it. LOVE!
