most people i've seen like/don't care about the seemingly minor change (from what i've seen). yippee.

there. because i was told writing how i felt would help me and since i wouldn't write that anywhere but mr. micro word, i figure ms. McKay can cover the basics.

it makes sense to me and that's ALL that matters.

on a lighter note, the recommendation of this week is the movie, Revolver. for one, it's directed by Guy Richie ('Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' and 'Snatch'. two, and not oddly, in relation to one, it involves a lot of the same elements you'll find in his other films, with a psychological twist (if you haven't seen those, i recommend them before Revolver, no competition).

p.s.-i also recommend boy's pajama bottoms. i'm sure i've always liked them, but recently i've gotten very intimate with their kind and they're amazing on many levels.
p.p.s.--remember to always wipe front to back, girls, and never fold your toilet paper. i'd hate to promote yeast infection.

Gears Of War 2. amazing. i mean it. it didn't completely blow Gears 1 out of the water, but it came dammit close. focusing more of story and the addition of new characters was a great draw for me. there were new enemies, of course, and one, whose name escapes me at the moment, that i'm pretty sure was based off of Predator. other great addition is the flamethrower or, as i like to call it, the wretch-flamer.

i won't give anything away here. i'm just writing this to say i thoroughly enjoyed it and it's moved to the top of my suggestions list, atm.

George Carlin was honored with the highest comedy award, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. It was announced before his death but, sadly, awarded post-humusly. however, i'm sure he's happy wherever he is, as it's the only comedy award he saw as legit. reading that there were protesters ("Carlin is going to hell!" well. who knows?) 1. Butterbeer or pumpkin juice?
Pumpkin juice. At least I KNOW I enjoy the taste of most pumpkin-flavored foodstuffs. I’ve always taken MightGodKing’s comment into consideration, “I mean, for some reason the concept of beer tasting like butter is something wizards like. What the hell is up with that, I ask you”. Seriously? Seriously.

2. What House would you most likely (or want to) be in in Hogwarts?
I would either be sorted into Ravenclaw or Slytherin (preferably the latter)

3. If you were an animagus, what animal would you turn into?
A hawk. Or perhaps a smaller bird so I could get closer to people and observe.

4. What character do you empathize with, or resemble best?
Both my roommate and I thought of Luna, first, so I suppose her. Maybe a mix of the twins to balance out the crazy.

5. What position do you play at Quidditch?
Beater or keeper—my arms are surprisingly strong and it always seemed like fun.

6. Which teacher is your favorite?
I find so many teachers completely lulzy. There are a few, but at the top are probably Snape, Slughorn and, at times, McGonagall. My favorites by sight (from the movies) are Snape (Alan Rickman), Hooch (Zoë Wanamaker) and Flitwick (Warwick Davis—WILLOW!). When movie 6 is released, Slughorn will make the second list, as Jim Broadbent was cast in the role, which more than pwns.

7. Any Harry Potter 7 predictions? Most “WTF” moment in Harry Potter 7?
Most of the book, no bullshit (see: [link] for further details). I’d have to say the part that actually shocked me, the most, in a positive way was Narcissa saving everyone’s ass lying to Voldemort about Harry’s state of life.

i was all, "what anime should i suggest for my cousin?" and i made this huge list and she never actually came by to get all the shiz i downloaded for her.

so, out of respect for what i've finished downloading, I'M going to rewatch stuff, YAH DIG? michelle and i are scheduled to watch Outlaw Star when school starts up again (...eventually). as for me, i have three completed (and fourth in the works, hell yes!) of Slayers to rewatch. i've downloaded a large chunk of Ranma, but seriously...that's a long-ass series!

at the moment, i'm eye-raping the HELL out of Cardcaptor Sakura.

okay, you want a good magical girl series? Forget Sailormoon. 1) you already know what's going to happen and 2) there's just so much better out there.

in my opinion, CLAMP is the way. now, don't get me wrong, CLAMP CAN fuck you over six ways to sunday (see: Chobits), but in the magical girl genre, they have yet to let me down. i'm not sure what magical girl anime is on the market right now, but from what i have seen, there are a lot of really bad premises and cat-girls (LOTS and LOTS of cat-girls). but, in CLAMP, we have manga/anime such as Magic Knight Rayearth (which is still one of my favorites of all time) and Cardcaptor Sakura.

i don't think i could give an adequate review of either, actually. so i won't. i'll just say that i still like CCS. it's just amazingly fun, i like the premise and i'm not going to deny that i'm a bit biased due to the prettiness of the Clow Cards. i definitely bought the Clow book when it came to america and CRIED when i lost my Firey card. CRIED.

on a completely seperate, but related note, i don't know what the differences are in MKR subbed and MKR dubbed, so i can't really fault you on buying the dub. however, i CAN fault you for buying the dubbed Cardcaptor Sakura (also known as Cardcaptors--yes, they changed the name, whatever, deal with it). SO much is changed, mostly relationship-wise and i have a little rant about THAT:

I HATE IT WHEN THEY CHANGE RELATIONSHIPS to fit the moral standards of our country (see: CLAMP's series, Wish)! every relationship in CCS the dubbers saw as inappropriate was turned completely around and it drove me BATSHIT INSANE! seriously, i would go to my cousin's house and be able watch subbed CCS with the knowledge that Rika and her teacher were blushing because they had a thing for each other then go home and watch the dubbed version and Rita or whatever the fuck they call her is blushing because she FEARS HIM? that is COMPLETELY the opposite--as i said! THEY ARE ENGAGED IN THE MANGA! ENGAGED! DKFAHKWBEBSKDAAASDFAJKHQIW!

ooooh, and (because i'm all "woo, yay gays") this bit REALLY grinds my shit:
"In Cardcaptors, all overt references to Yukito's homosexual relationship with Touya were removed, and Syaoran's 'crush' on him was played down. Sakura's crush was still present however."
uh, DUH. because Sakura is a GIRL and we're all down with that. now, i also can't say much for the anime in way of Touya and Yukito's relationship. it's also pretty low-key when compared to the manga, but they, uh, make it pretty obvious in later episodes:
"Toya's main relationship is with his best friend Yukito. Throughout the series Toya and Yukito are extremely close and eventually Yukito openly admits his love for Toya to Sakura...Toya says that he would not be able to stand losing Yukito...Toya and Yukito are one of Clamp's "soulmate" pairs (a common theme in their stories). They are each other's special person and are always together when they appear in other works by Clamp."
...okay, maybe not SO low-key >_> so you see why i would fault you? also, the character's lines aren't nearly as cool and everyone should know by now that any jokes told in an anime become REALLY lame when they're dubbed.

i need to get a few more episodes in before i get to bed. i actually have the cards in The Clow book lined up in the order they're sealed in the episodes and i look at the next card before the episode to see what she's going to capture because i am just THAT DORKY (liz, tell me you would do it to make me feel better).

what i'm trying to say is i had a tummy ache this morning. the result was u-do-2-poo and if you do't get that you should read more harry potter.

on a similar subject, my favorite thing to do, ever, now is read the harry potter books, out loud, with accents or speech impediments. ulana and i spent, literally, HOURS doing this (and waging a war against mosquitos) yesterday. it was amazing. lisps were thrown about. hermione was sultry.

i've talked about ulana reading anne rice and how i'm really excited about it because i hate twilight and blahblahblah. well, i realized yesterday that EVERY one of my friends that i've talked to (besides melissa who is my roomates little sister and 15, thus excluded) has THIS to say about the novels:
1) they (like me) don't see them as vampire novels. just cheesy teen romances that easily sucked them in (harhar, sucked. like vampires).
2) they hate bella
3) edward is why they read. he is beautiful and sparkly. la ti da (funny, because the ony reason i'm going to watch the movie is Robert Pattison, lawl lawl--seriously, liz, HAVE to show you this forum thread full of hotstuff pics of him. you WILL fall. you will DROWN =.=!)

so, i wish they would read more anne rice, but, uuuuh, her 100 mill copies sold over the years still kind of tops meyer's 7 mill, sooooo. i'll let it lie for now. just kind of...spread the word.

okay, now onto a more aoe journal. in other words, drawings to come:
i'm going to draw hp ocs (blech) in response to liz's. but it's going to be years in the future because...i fail at hp oc's in their year. especially if they have ANY interaction with the characters. in other words, mention of hp event will be minimal to none. it's sort of like ww2 to us. important, yes, but in the past and only the history buffs deal with that sort of thing.

you think i'd have a slytherin, right? WRONG. ravenclaw. i've needed to draw one. this is mostly because, when i go outside and swing, i contemplate what a harry/snape child would be like. michelle (my roommate who isn't into harry potter slash but can make even a character death seem like, "THE CUTEST THING EVER") and i agree that snape/harry child would actually be very pretty. either elegant and tall with a WELL-DEFINED NOSE and sparkling emerald eyes and straight black hair OR slightly shorter with dark eyes and classy glasses. both would have beautiful hands and would be raised in a house that's not really full of joy and sunshine, but at least it has love and that would make them very dear children, indeed. michelle and i determined their house: ravenclaw. it just HAS to be.

but i HAD to write this SOMEWHERE. i started catching up in the Countdown to Final Crisis shiz last night. i took a break a little while back when the plotlines just got way muddled (which seems to happen quite often, but it was getting RIDICULOUS...and a bit dull to boot). but THEN i remembered it was time for Final Crisis to start up. and it had. so i started reading again, because i actually do want to read Final Crisis (the promotion for Final Crisis was ridiculous and i love it XD PLUS, Batman R.I.P. story, ftw...ilu, major comic sites online <3).

anyway, i got to Countdown to Final Crisis #2, which i actually rather enjoyed. Darkseid v. Jimmy Olsen---> Darkseid v. Orion. the father v. son thing was great fun and it was a pretty epic battle after forcing myself to get through the rest of the mush that is CtFC. okay, yes. i did not enjoy this miniseries very much *SIGH*

i can't wait till the end of Final Crisis. you see, i've already planned to read the latest issues of Wonder Woman <3 (there's some Batman shiz i want to read too...but that can wait until after i've seen him FINALLY killed off frealsies :3 gee, why do i want him to die so much? i'm so STOKED for The Dark Knight XD)

Teatime. Sadly, no. But, if I could, they’d probably be full of laughter and death.

Would Two and Six make a good couple?
Death and Vimes. I don’t think Death couples well with anyone. There’s the cold fingers and lack of emotion and certain body parts and all. Plus, they’re both pretty wrapped up in their work. It’d only end in misery.

Five/Nine or Five/Ten?
Drumknott would probably be uncomfortable with both Teatime AND The Luggage. In the end, I think The Luggage would probably be a more suitable choice, though. At least it’s loyal (low risk of death). So, Five/Ten.

What would happen if Seven walked in on Two and Twelve having sex?
Nobby walks in on Reg and Death. Now, Nobby is a pretty strange guy. He’d probably watch…or cheer…or take notes or something. And see, a zombie and Death makes a whole lot more sense than some of the other couples listed above. At least they’re both missing body parts (just sometimes, for Reg) and then there’s the whole DEATH thing.

Make up a summary for a Three/Ten fic.
The Luggage follows Havelock everywhere and maybe humps his leg sometimes. The end (lolwhut XD).

Is there any such thing as One/Eight fluff?
Angua/Wolfgang. Yes. Absolutely. You just have to TOTALLY ignore canon, be into incest and maybe make up a past or an AU for the siblings. For instance, Angua and Wolfgang were close as children and Wolfgang loved her and Angua sort of loved him back and things progress from there until he goes batshit insane and kills their sister. Wrong move, fluffy. In the AU…well, wth do you want, it’s an AU.

Suggest a title for a Seven/Twelve hurt/comfort fic.

What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted Four to deflower One?
Moist/Angua. The fact that , in Making Money, Moist figured out that Angua was the werewolf in the City Watch. In canon, the threat wouldn’t work, but this is fanon and it’s NEVER about working…it’s about porn.

Zane Lee and Allison Paige. I was excited because, although babies make my eye go twitch, I adore my 3 nephews and 1 niece :3

2) Applying for a job at the theater at White Oak. Wish me luck.

3) Shane from The L Word is really boyish and I so would. Surprisingly, so would my (extremely heterosexual) sister. Speaking of; ban on gay marriage lifted? Can I get a, "HUZZAH"?

4) A few...not so great grades for my second semester. The guardians were not pleased, but I toughed it out *wipes away beads of sweat* I think the whole, "Getting a job!" thing helped out.

5) I wish Pratchett would come out with a new city watch book. Selfish, but true. The fanfiction just isn't up to par.
