but not entirely...

for the fish where I live...are likely radioactive.

I am student teaching full time at the moment...and my 100+ page thesis is nearing completion.

As a result...art has been put on hold for now. Most things have been put on hold for now!

The chaos of the past few months is winding down. When it does, I hope to become active again on DA...as new work materializes.

Please dont think that the project has bee dropped...its still happening! However...I am currently immersed in my graduate thesis...so work on the project will be slow and gradual. Please continue the glass search and spreading the word. Many thanks to all who have contributed in any way!

Many people have agreed to contribute to my project, and I thank them all. However, I want to get the ball rolling even faster on this project. Although there is no timetable, and I foresee it going on for a while, we need to continue to spread the word.

Therefore, if you know anyone who lives outside the USA, or if you know someone who knows someone....or if you know someone who knows someone who knows someone....I ask that you get me in contact with that person. Only by spreading the word can this project succeed!

Hello all,

I am looking to begin a new project, but it depends on the help of all of you! I am looking for artists across the globe... anyone and anywhere. I am asking for small pieces of glass from places around the world (and in the United States), hoping to use these pieces to create a massive stained glass window. The end result...although we are living in an age of constant violence...we all see the same light...and when the light strikes the colored glass it can create something beautiful.

The glass can be all shapes and colors. I only ask that it is flat. I cannot offer anything in return for your help...except for tremendous gratitude. Once the project is complete, you will become a permanent part of it.

A single piece of glass, wrapped in bubble wrap, paper towel, a napkin...anything...can be placed in a regular white envelop and mailed to me. If you are interested in helping out, please email me at mccabeart@hotmail.com. If you know anyone who might be able to help, or can spread the word of this project, I would appreciate it very much.

We will see how this goes. I appreciate your time and consideration tremendously.

I am quite busy with graduate schooling and work....so unfortunately...creativity has to take a back seat.

However...the imagination is still running strong....and I am beginning to come up with images for the next project.

I am always lounging around DA...so just because there wont be new art for a while doesn't mean i'm not here!

I want to extend a thanks to those of you who have left kinds remarks...and even gone as far as to promote me on your page....it is very very kind of you.

If it seems like I'm not very active on DA...that isnt the case. New art is coming soon. I like to sit back and let people seek out my work...while browsing around once and a while...

And although I'm not the 'promoting' type...I do appreciate what you guys/gals have said/done. It has been very kind.

All of my photographs are taken through reaction. I don't plan to seek out an image and capture it. Part of my photography...and a significant part at that....is the experience. I carry my camera with me a lot, and react to things that I find beautiful. Of the photographs posted on this site, the only one that had any degree of predetermined though is 'mike and mary'.

I use a Kodak 35 mm fully manual camera from the 1970's for all of my photography. I use no zoom. I develop all of the film in the darkroom, and make all of the prints as well. Method is very important to my art. The raw, somewhat grainy, and often unrefined images that you see are the direct result of the process. 1. The powercord on my laptop decided to rip the wires apart from within and fizzle to death. Therefore, I cannot upload new work until it is repaired.

2. I have been SO busy with work/schooling lately I havent been able to be creative.
