And in other news, I got a new job! One where I will be getting a decent amount of money per week for once! And I still have my old job as well for now. So I should have enough money to go to Dragon*con now! yay! And I'm probably back on for going to mini-mega too!
I'm extremely happy to have gotten this job, and I love it already, but it is a lot of physical work and it leaves me completely exhausted x_x and I have to get up early every morning which I am soooo not used to yet so I walk around like a zombie all day lol. But once I get used to things I should go back to being sociable and productive

...and now I have to go get ready for bed x__x ahh oh god its so early I feel old.

Well This was Jacon's last year and it definitely went out with a bang. There was tons of crazyness and drama at every turn. Like the guy who felt up a girl at the dance, or the girl who set off mace at the rave, and the flooding flooding everywhere. I was really stressed out at this con for many a reason, but I think socially this has been the best con ever for me. I made so many new friends and chatted with lots of flat out awesome people over the weekend <3 I love all you guys. I'm still trying to hunt down several people I was too dumb to get info from D: D'oh

The Artist Alley was decent but the lighting was horrible and made it hard to do commissions x_x and it was rather hot. but I loved the art director for the artis alley. She was so nice and helpful and friendly, and I dont think Iv'e ever even seen the face of the art director for any of the tables I've done in the past, but this girl stopped by like every hour to check on the artists. It was really nice. Now I'm tempted to get a table for AFO because she runs the AA there too @3@

The dealer's room wasn't so great, but someone was selling Key: The Metal Idol in there which I have been searching for for yeeeeears. But it was $80 and I found it 3 minutes before the Dealer's room closed on Sunday x______x so I couldn't get it. I did get some new Eva figurines though!

ON Sunday the con did something Iv'e never seen before and set up a garage sale area! I wish I had known about it sooner, because I would have gotten a table too! I scored tons of pokemon cards there and some old games and a ryo-ohki plush. It was my favorite part of the con! I hope the idea catches on.


Now I have a few homework commissions to finish up, that I hope to have all mailed out by Monday. then its off to start working on new merch for Metrocon!!! yay

My car's radiator started leaking and is currently in the shop. My boss hasn't been paying me what she owes me. My dog has to go to the vet..... It's just been one of those weeks. x____x so hopefully all goes well this weekend!

luckily he was pretty tame (i would have done the same even if he wasn't) and I happened to have a empty 40 gallon tank handy. it turns out he belongs to my new neighbor and he escaped sometime this morning, so he is safe and back home now.
Boring end but I still feel like I had and ADVENTURE day lol. Also taught some local kids about reptiles, and somehow ended up giving them two of my toys

in other news I might be getting a puppy :3 I'll post more about it when I know for sure.

DONT BUY THIS PRINTER.

So after my long loved printer died, I went and got a Canon Pixma 2600, since the one I had has been discontinued, and the 2600 is essentially the new version that also allows bordless prints, which is something I've always wanted.

It was supposed to be an amazing photo printer, much improved over the pixma 1500 I had before.

I FUCKING HATE THIS PRINTER.

It prints black and white beautiful, but any color it desaturates the crap out of, and it will often add hues to things that should not be there. on certain images it'll even print the background grey when it should be pure white. Iv'e adjusted every setting I can find. the printer itself has some "automatic correction" apparently that I cant get rid of no matter what I do. And my brand new printer heads are constantly clogging and ruining images.

so now i cant make prints of any of my things. including keychains and bookmarks for cons. So I guess I wont be doing any cons for a while.


I plan on taking my old printer to the shop this weekend. hopefully the can fix it SO I CAN MAKE THINGS AGAIN. but that'll still leave me with this $50 POS x_x /end rant

its slowly been dying this past month, allowing me only a few hours a day to use it. this of course during the end of school where i was like OMG FINAL PROJECTS, TESTS, AND EXAMS OH MY! and have been super stressed, and then it died completely THE DAY my online final exam was posted -_-

then after a week of it being totally dead, while my computer told me i had a perfect connection, and i bought a new modem that did nothing, and verizon couldn't figure out what was wrong, FINALLY someone figured out that verizon changed their equipment to something crappy that left many people in my area (who are on the borderline of being to far for dsl appearently) without net, so they changed it to dsl2 so all is well again.
so people of pasco with verizon internet, your welcome.

ALSO IN ANIMAL NEWS: anyone who cares about me bird that was attacked? she's fine now, although during recovery she seemed to hit puberty and apparently she's a he. sooo now i need to find him a good home.

and i my snakes finally mated! i cant wait to have snake babies!
although my poor female is um... kinda bruised and swollen, if ya know what i mean. :/ seems to have taken more than she can handle.

First off, earlier this week one of the puppies at my work (I work in kennels) died in a freak accident during one of my few days off and everyone is really upset about it.
Things at home started getting really bad, but the day before i was set to move out my brother ended up going back to jail. Thank god. but not before stealing $100 from me, more than that from my family, not to mention my Dreamcast, a few DVDs, some games, and possibly my digital camera. oh and a gun. but we got it back. So I am really broke thanks to him.
and to top it off for a while we've been having a problem with rats getting into the porch and eating my animals' food and we thought we had finally fixed the problem, but last night the rats broke back in and BIT A CHUCK OUT OF ONE OF MY BIRDS. to any of you who may have heard about them turning Earthquake into a new ride....

I was one of the first people to ever ride it

its called Disaster Studios, and when you stand in line there are a bunch of destroyed planes props laying around .....and a big, rotting, jet propelled shark. I kid you not. I have no idea what it has to do with anything, and it wasn't finished so im not even sure its for that ride. but i will be haunting me for a long time because i will forever be trying to figure out WHY there was a jet propelled rotting shark there. coolest thing ive ever sen btw.

then when you get to the ride, there is a freaking holographic Christopher Walken talking to you about his movie he wants you all to be in.
then you go to the next room and a few volunteers do all this weird green screen stuff and talk about how they do movie effects.
Then you go to the next room and get on the subway tram. its just like Earthquake but closer to the action. everything has had a face lift, it still has the falling truck and all

but

now they added much more intense motion on the tram, a runaway subway car that almost hits you, RIDICULOUS amounts of water flooding the place, (a lot of the cars got flooded) and the whole time it records your reactions.
then it plays a trailer of the movie you just helped make and it is the best thing ever. It is so campy and horrible and has cheesy celebrities, and then puts clips from the green screen stuff and the tram in and ...i cant even describe how awesome it is. Everyone go ride it in January.

whoo its now one month till Supercon! We still have room for another person in our hotel room, so if anyone is interested in staying with us and splitting the cost even more, thats totally doable

a cat got to em but hes okay. hes doing pretty well now, just a little stressed. I'll be keeping him until he's old enough to release. I have no idea if its a boy or girl. The poor thing needs a name. help me think of something good something that starts with "k" cause all my birds have had K names.

also, AFO is this weekend, I'm not quite sure what I'm gonna do with my bird while I'm gone. I could aslo really use some extra money now, to help take care of her. I had sooo much fun at Metrocon and my first artist alley booth eva with . Friday I got really stressed out,because really I had no idea what i was doing, but by Saturday I came much more prepared and had a lot more fun.
I snuck away from the table for a bit to watch the chess match on Saturday, but i ended up leaving halfway through. It kept dragging on and on, and I couldn't hear, and I had commissions to go work on, so I got mad and left shortly after they, ya know, SHOT SAILOR MOON AND TUXEDO MASK TO DEATH D:< (and sailor moon's wig came off XD). so if anyone saw the whole thing, I am kinda curious how it ended.
but anyway, my favorite part of the con was definitely the artist alley. I spent all my money on other artist's stuff because I just loved everything there (i spent only $2 in the dealers room haha X3) and made lots new amazing friends there <3
and thank you sooo much to anyone who stopped by. anyone who bought keychains/commissions, talked to me, or so much as took a card, I now <3 you. You are my new BFF. And apparently I'm becoming rather famous for my Tentacle Rape keychains, which I'm rather proud of :3

oh, and I know we told everyone that we would be at AFO, but apparently we were lying when we said that, because when I got home to get the tickets for it, they were sold out DDDD: WTFFFFF.
but at AFO you couldn't reserve booths, you could only buy tickets for chairs at a booth. and there are 2 chairs to a booth, and I dont think there was anyway to reserve a specific spot. It's all first come first serve, which would NOT have been fun to deal with x_x
But i'll still be there walking around if anyone else is going. I plan on wearing lots of cute lolita stuff and cosplay while i can, so feel free to yell at me if you see me
