Or I should say...if you are going up for a BFA, you have the choice of either graduating with a BA or trying again next semester. We had to have our projects done for the midterm review and for the most part I did fairly well in our midterm. I still have to finish up the animation I'm doing to show in the museum and tighten it up and I'll be good.

So I'm actually making me and my fiance's halloween costume...and I was wondering...does anyone have any type of form or pattern to make a male vest. I need to find one for a XL. I've already looked at good will and salvation army and I was trying to figure out a good way to do it..but if you know of any website or anything that might have a form I would really appreciate it.

An Update from the last journal.
I had worked on some portraits but unfortunately they won't be shown in the show this December. I'm working on some other drawings that will be later turned into an animation.

So I thought I would change the last journal (so negative it was) and replace it with a little more positive one. As some of you know, I am in my final semester @ FIU. Us Thesis II students now have to get up our Artist Statements and Thesis' up to par and also keep up with creating new work for the show we have December 3rd. Here is a sneak peak of what I plan to show in the museum.



I won't really go into detail but right now I am currently going into the duality of the characters I have talked about from the famous Grimm Brother's Tales. I am really enjoying getting down to the knitty gritty of it all. I have my first review this Thursday so please think well of me this week and please do pray I make it through ok.

IN OTHER NEWS:
For those of you who do watch me you might have noticed some deviations have been deleted...especially the Snape Stamp. DA deleted it because it was in violation of the copyrights code they have. Although it was the most famous deviation I had here, I'm kinda glad it happened. It made me want to delete the others to make myself a better artist. Not saying I didn't like them, but honestly, they were made out of fun and I would rather have my other art take me farther than the stamps ever did.

Some SAD news:
I had to resign from my position as owner at . There is just too much on my plate with the BFA and I genuinely need to focus myself more on school. I don't want to let anyone down or not update like I used to...so if you are interested and most importantly **have the time** to dedicate yourself to updating and keeping up a club please note me.

By the way, thanks for all of those who have ed a deviation of mine or ed me and I haven't replied to. I sincerely thank you.

Take a look. I have a new pair of shoes I was working on for my Cousin Carina. It was her 15th Birthday two weeks ago and I was working on these as a Birthday present.

Problem is: Once I put scotch guard on them...it bled and I'm not happy at all with how it looks right now. I have to go draw on them again...yippy... :/

So right now I'm not the happiest person in the world right now.

I currently have no actual financial aid like I used to. Currently all I'm being offered is loans. I know I'm lucky enough to have that but honestly I don't have the money to go into debt so I'm kinda screwed at the moment.

I'm not producing enough artwork for the Fall graduating class show I'd be in. I'm artisticly stuck and completely out of it.

I've been on DA for a good 2 years now and do you want to know my most popular deviation???



Funny enough its been on the top (last time I checked) of all the Snape Stamps here in DA....but I'm just coming to the conclusion that no one on here is really into personal art work from artists. All we deviants seem to be into is the fan art or even those great DC and Marvel illustrators on DA that show all of the comic artwork and such. I think its a load of crap. But then again I'm guilty of the same sin although I do watch some people for their artwork that has nothing to do with fan anything. I'm just frustrated because I don't know if its just I'm not getting out there or if my work actually does suck. Its very depressing to me that I feel this way...but everytime I think I might get a bite from some people whether it be through commission work or free stuff....I always come back disappointed. Whatever. Story of my life.

Sorry for the rant. I just needed to get it out of my system.

I would like to make more but honestly no one has contacted me to ask for a commission so I won't make any more until I either do get a response or get inspired.

Anyway, I have a poll going on and I was wondering.

I was making a small drawing to place on a 1" square canvas...just different characters and such...and I was wondering...



If I were to put them on sale, would you buy them? I think I would place them from $5-$10. I would be including the price of shipment.Another thing is Who would you guys like to see on these??

So far I have Harry Potter. Who else (any character) would you like to see? I'm not set on a number of how many I would do. It depends on the feedback I receive. I'm trying to raise money for this final semester of school. I'll be graduating in Fall and don't know how financially things are going to pan out. So yea.

I'm so excited. I am really glad I was able to do this. OH and FYI for those of you who go to Miami Dade Community College, I will be there tomorrow at the Kendall campus from 10-10:50am for a student artist panel that will take place at the library. I know its short notice but if you guys are close to there...hopefully you can make it.

I've been really busy with school lately. I'm only one semester from graduating. That kinda says enough LoL. Due to some changes in the curriculum, we will be expected to do a lot more things before we actually are able to even try out for the graduating class. It will help us out in the long run but it just feels like really short notice kinda stuff. Whatever. I'm tired but I think I'm gunna start my thesis paper...or at least start planning it out. :/

There was a car accident this past Sunday and it was on the news and everything. While making a right turn in a right turn only lane that is safe to do when you are going through traffic...some guy making a really wide left crashed into the smaller car and ended up smashing him into the sign on the corner of my university. The next day I found out it was the older brother of a child I take care of at my job. Maybe its just the timing but its really tainted my days a little. On Monday they dropped her off at the daycare and just made it seem like a normal day. She didn't come in today so they probably told her what happened. We were also told by parents that live across the street from the family that the cops got to the house at one in the morning and all she could hear was screaming. The mother is still in shock and hasn't been responsive at all. Its really sad just with the fact that they are so nice and will always have something nice to say to you. Coincidentally the child I take care of is my birthday twin. He was so squashed in that car that they couldn't pull his body out. They had to take the car and slowly take it apart away from the accident scene. The other guy is at fault but damn...

BY THE WAY....thanks to all who participated in the feature journal. That was the first time in my DA history that the list was actually filled. Thanks for making that happen.

I will report tomorrow on how everything went. I really hope the week gets better.

Sorry for the lack of updates...so yea. I had a pretty good Christmas with many people giving me cooking stuff indicating I need to learn to cook before me and Gus get married so he doesn't starve. LoL I got my Steel Wok and a George Foreman grill. LoL I need to start practicing. OMG and then my dad decided to drag us on a road trip to San Antonio, Texas....by car. Needless to say it was an interesting experience especially since we celebrated two new years. Once with Miami (where I am from) with Time Square dropping the ball and listening to the Jonas Brothers and poor Taylor Swift who was made to stand next to them after the whole text message break up between her and Joe. That was sad. Then an hour later we celebrated with Texas and watched Robby Keinevil perform his first original stunt. Other than that with my family, grandparents, dogs, and Gus it was pretty interesting. I'm pretty much just kinda rolling along with everything. Started school again and all my classes are at night. I am taking one online class (Asia in Film). I need to get a move on and start working with animations. oh...AND I HAVE MY OWN STUDIO!!!!! I'm so excited I had to paint the walls and broom the place up but so far I have the Grimm drawings pinned up and some others that I had done of Gus and what was left from the Batman mask I had killed to make Gus' Gambit head piece. So yea that's pretty much it...oh

I'm semi-ok with just having to deal with her and make my work that much better than hers...but I just don't like having to keep being badgered into having to say, act, or do something that I am not ok with. So mark my words...if she tries to get me to say that or won't leave the issue alone 'til I say that.

Ok on Thursday I went to class as normal and found out we actually had critique. Randomly as I was working on something...some girl in my class who rarely goes comes to talk to me and my friend. She checks out the animation I was working on and then seems (to my friend at least) to be shocked that I am using a project for two classes.

W/e we started critique and when we got to her drawing it was the same size as mine and had SNOW WHITE in it. As she started to talk, she started to explain how she is going to illustrate Fairy tales and Bible stories and mash them together. @ this point I paused and did a what?? I'M USING FAIRYTALES!! As I look at the picture there was Jesus Christ standing holding an apple with the serpent coming out. When I asked what Jesus was doing holding the apple instead of Adam...she said that that was the way she wanted to portray it.

I got up from where I was and as she kept explaining everything she basically said she planned to do 5 more of the stupid drawings. She said the Bible was sexist and the only thing it did was degrade women. When I asked her what she was going to do next she said it would be a mix between Goldylox and the Three Wise Men. I got so pissed I left the room.

People said that she was brave for doing it and that it was awesome. I also got mad at the fact that there were two women protrayed in the drawing, both naked, Snow White reaching out for the apple and some woman laying down. When I asked why she had done that she said that Snow White was begging for the apple while "EVE" was painted on a mountain tempting Jesus Christ to give her the apple.

1. you stole my art and the elements I am portraying in them
2. when professors look at her crap they are going to put her in the same box I am which I am not ok with because personally I believe that if you are doing something like that (something with a lot of history) look it up and research it. If she had any sense or had checked or had cared she would know there were some women praised in the bible (other than virgin Mary) and that she could easily also take from other religions as well. I find it offensive that she seems to be doing this to make a point.

What really ticks me off is that she had been brought to me by the professor and he asked me to show her my stuff. she asked me about some stuff and I tried to encourage her. If you don't show up for class and you feel like you aren't getting anywhere...

1. you need to show up to class
2. honestly you need to do what makes you happy

So I almost feel that since she is an advertising major...she just took whatever she could and ran with it...including my element of size and fairy tales and a contemporary view on it.

So really my question is...I want to go approach her. I'll take off the Christian hat and ask her solely why she decided to take my stuff. Not only is it appropriate but do you think I should confront my professor as well? I mean it really bothers me that if he is bringing a student to me to give them advice or anything...that doesn't mean its ok to take what I worked so hard on...NOT TO MENTION SHE ONLY HAD OUTLINES OF THE STUPID THING...I've been really furious about it and I will probably confront them both anyway. I can't ask her to stop but I just want to know if she could change it in some way.

Honestly I think America made the wrong decision. I know we are all gunna just have to get used to the Obamanation nation put us in out of their ignorant ideals. Honestly, yes we made it very far as a nation by voting in a black president...but it was for all the wrong reasons. I don't think that either candidate was qualified for the job and we could have picked way better candidates for the job. But This is what happened. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me but honestly if you are going to leave a stupid "hurray hoorah" message...just save it for someone who shares your happiness.

I really feel really scared about what is going to happen in the next four years. I really am. If it was bad enough to try to get a job...its gunna only get worse. I'm trying really hard to keep a positive attitude but I find it really hard to feel positive when we have some hypocrite as a president. Who asks the press to keep their children out of it and then invites In Touch (or one of those stupid tabloid magazines) into a private affair (his daughter's birthday party with friends and family) and make it into a photoshoot?!?!?! Mark my words people....put your seat belts on because its gunna be a bumpy ride and not in a good way.

Any who....now that I got that off my chest....Halloween was pretty good. I dunno if any of you saw the photo but here it is...

GAMBIT AND ROGUE!!!!!!!!

Yay!! I was REALLY happy with how it came out. I dunno if we won the contest over at Gus' job but I hope we get some prize or something especially since he had to rely on half of his costume to get to work.

In other news I'm working on animating . I've gotten like 20 frame on the bent over character and I need to completely animate all of them before the 18th of this month to have it ready for thesis review.

And just in case anyone is interested....
I'm still doing the custom tshirts (which would be a great idea for a Christmas gift for people!! ) and actually am painting a shirt for the digital winner of the Halloween contest over at :icon-disneyprincess-club:. I'll be painting an Ariel shirt for her. Let's see how it comes out. I'll have to take a picture when I'm done and take a picture of the actual X-Men shirt I wore for the Rogue outfit. I painted it and so far a lot of people have actually like it and thought it was store bought... Anyway...

Oh and has a new game. I'm totally addicted...still haven't beaten it though...Go play it!! [link]

By the way...here is some stuff I've been working on.

All of this work is what keeps me really busy and once I'm done I'll put it all up.

So Halloween quickly approaches and I am almost done with the Gambit and Rogue costume. It is quite exciting especially since yesterday me and Gus tried our costumes on and we looked fantastic. All I have to do is actually finish the head piece. My boyfriend came up with the brilliant idea of getting a batman mask and cutting it (yes I know the anguish horror and hurt that I and others will feel knowing I am massacring a gorgeous mask..) to make the actual headpiece for Gambit. It will work and I have the wig so...I will be doing that today.

In other news...I'm currently dealing with a bunch of stuff over at so if you leave a comment or anything and I don't reply that quickly...its because I'm doing the voting process over there with the current Halloween contest we are doing.

Unfortunately, I can't find the photo reference that I want for Rogue.

I am basically dressing all in black as well as Gus(boyfriend). I took the idea from one of the covers of the Xtreme X-men issue #35 cover.

I can get his shirt and I have boots. I guess I also need to find 2 really good wigs. I can't dye my hair(don't really want to) and my boyfriend has none. LoL. Noth only that but my boyfriend has aksed that I really do take into consideration that I do the classic rogue hairstyle with the big texas hair. LoL. and my hair doesn't hold curls nor is my hair very thick. I might be sounding a bit scatterbrained but right now I'm in class. so I'm doing two things at once.

Its felt like a long time since I've updated here. I have been working on stuff but unfortunately I can't post them just yet.

In my Electronic Art class, we've had to create a hoax. I'm still working on transforming Gus and two of his friends into The Punisher, Spiderman/Peter Parker, and Gambit. I'm done with Eddie(The Punisher) and I'm comfortable with Roly(Spidey). I have the AWESOME task of creating my boyfriend's Gambit character from scratch. On the other two, I only transplanted their heads onto their super hero bodies. For Gus I actually have to make the whole costuming and even the fake hair on his head(he's bald and Gambit just wouldn't look the same).

I've also been working on more of the Grimm Series. I have to go in and scan the "final" copy and upload it as an actual deviation instead of having it in the scraps gallery. I also have to redo one of the drawings due to the fact that I actually tried to paint the image onto a glass. I'm not a painter by any means but for the most part it was quite a funny reaction from the class when I showed it. So when my professor saw it, she basically gave me the idea of making an acetate transfer from the computer of my drawing so that I can put it in a light box to give it the stained glass effect. Not only that but I have to start writing a companion piece to go with the drawings. Possibly take the German translation and then next to it write my own translation of the tales. I'm really excited about it.

Well then...I must go. I need to out of work so I can go see Eagle Eye with my boyfriend. We barely go out any more...Just on Fridays...It makes my heart grow fonder. OH....and just in case anyone is interested....

My birthday is in 11 days!!

Here is a great surprise:

I'm so excited that I've actually gotten it done for the most part. I drew the lines for WALLE but the design will be different due to my inability to have kept him the same size I drew EVE. But I still think it will be fantastic.

I will be sporting the shirt with my boyfriend in a photo of which I will put up in DA but it has to wait until November. I am giving this as a present to him for our Anniversary and I don't want to spoil the surprise.

I PASSED MY CAT-CLAST EXAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so relieved. I was actually spewing this morning when I woke up at around 5:15 in the morning(mind you my test was at 9:30). I had to get my boyfriend and my mom to psych me out of the whole "nervous nelly" act I was pulling(not on purpose). I'm just proud to say....

I DON'T EVER HAVE TO TAKE MATH EVER AGAIN IN MY CAREER

So yea...I still have to read for my Gothic Art in Italy class. I got started on the new drawing. Lets just say...it has to deal with some more unnecessary surgery...

So I was actually really surprised to find out how many people actually were fans of Robin Hood...the series on BBC. I've been dying to watch the second and third season. My cousin got me hooked one girls weekend and we watched the first whole season in one weekend. I am dying to get the second one. I have it on my wish list on amazon Well anyhooo...I'm going to go read now.:/

I've been answering questions to this worksheet my VisThinkingII professor gave us and realized that I went all the way to at least the 4th section of questions when all we needed to do was look at the first section and complete another part to the assignment that she had given in class. I'm just peachy. To look at it positively, now I'm a little ahead.

I have to read some chapters for Gothic Art in Italy(this I am dreading). I always fall straight to sleep reading those books. :/ I also have to study for the CAT-CLAST I have on Tuesday morning at 9:30am. Its quite the challenge. I took it once before and didn't pass by a tiny amount of thirteen points. I know I'll be more prepared, I just have to go over the techniques they use and make sure I become a master at it.

Oh and not to mention...I have to start a drawing off for my Drawing V class. This is going to be an intense 3 days(although for the most part one is almost gone). Listening to this soundtrack is making me want to watch the film.

Sorry to those who are waiting on the unveiling of both the Custom shoes and the WALLE&EVE Shirts. I keep forgetting to wash the two shirts to prep them for drawing and I still haven't found a quote to go on both shoes. If anyone has any suggestions as to the shoes, please comment. I have become perplexed. I know on the Will Turner shoe I've wanted to use the quote "Keep a Weather Eye on the Horizon" but I don't know if I should just put 1/2 on each shoe or have Elizabeth have a completely different quote or w/e....just by reading this you should see how perplexed my mind has become.:embarassed:

Well anyway. I am going to go finish my proposal now that the trailer is peaceful and quite. :joy:

figured it out. It was the fact that all of them are created by a traditional medium. So he gets another free commission. I still owe him one for something else so hopefully I'll have something done by this week.

In other news I start school tomorrow. I'm really really excited. I now have actual work to keep me occupied with. I'm taking an electronic art class, drawing V, Gothic art in Italy (Art history), and Visual thinking II. Visual thinking II is one of those courses that makes you expand your research and ideas for your work. I'm currently working on the Grimm Series but because I got stuck, I stopped for a while and have actually moved to some fun things. You tend to need a break once in a while I think. Well anyway...so I'll get that to ya hopefully and hopefully I'll also have up the finished completion of the custom shoes and my custom shirts.

Other than that...all I've done is come on DA, check emails, facebook, myspace, and try to start finishing up 's free commission. it was a nice break from the usual black and white stuff I'be been doing. Surprisingly I've been having fun getting some watercolor into the drawing. I'm just trying to get dong with the ink drips and such. I'm really excited.

I'm currently sitting in the studio listening to the pouring rain outside. It sounds so relaxing. Anyhoo...I found out I won't (crossing fingers) have to be paying just yet for school I am still covered by my scholarships and financial aid my parents had put in. I'm really happy because looking at how much money I had in my bank...I was going to have to pull money out of places the sun doesn't hit...haha.

I have been drawing a bit more. I got stuck again on the Grimm Fairytales. I have an idea for the Godfather Death but it doesn't pan out as nicely as the StepSisters did. It would probably be an updated sort of look for Death but who knows. Its sad to say but Dog the Bounty Hunter might come into affect. LOL

I'm thinking about possibly making some WALLE and EVE tshirts and possibly even a shoe commission (for myself) hehehe. But seriously I am thinking of making some of those tshirts for sale. Keep an eye out. They may be here sooner than you think.

Hope everyone is well. I LOVE THIS NEW VERSION OF DEVIANTART!!!! Its so shiny and new and is so effient!! I am really enjoying the looking through messages and deviations and such.

Anyway...I've put up a journal specifically with information as to commissions if anyone is interested.

I'm working on the next piece to the Grimm Series. Thanks to those who have commented and given some feedback on them. I really appreciate it. Shirt Commissions

We would have to talk about the design and such but for the most part payment will include:

the cost of the shirt ($10)
painting fee(starts at $25)
the cost to ship it out(depends on how quickly you want it to get there).

It takes about a week for the process I use. I also wash it so it is already pre-washed and ready to go.

I know its been awhile since I've updated journals but w/e. Susie got kicked off So You Think You Can Dance because we didn't vote enough for her and the judges apparently didn't care for her nor her partner either.

In other news I finished my Drawing IV course and I'm pretty sure I got an A. For those of you who keep up with me....I'm currently working on a series with the Grimm Brothers. I'm really finding that its really hard but I am enjoying it.

In other news, I need to figure out about doing commissions. Due to everything going crazy in the world and certain things needing to be taken care of...I want to be able to try to do commissions and such to keep up with certain things like school and supplies. So if you possibly would want me to do a commission...please note me and I'll give you info.

Well I must tell you all how much of a scare I went through last night. I had to take my sisters to their flamenco class since my parents went on a trip to LAS VEGAS and so I was catching up on some research for the new drawing I'm doing for the Grimm series. I was watching "Snow White: A tale of Terror" on my laptop. The dance studio is a tiny little hole in the wall...so we are all kinda cramped in there and there isn't really much space to move at all. My youngest sister had signaled me that we could go so I don't remember what exactly I did but the problem happened when my laptop started to slowly slide off of my legs and reached the floor...as I was still connected to it with my earphones. I reach down for it quickly and as I do so I hear a someone startle themselves and there went the drops of water onto the crease where my laptop bends to open and close. I started to have a fit yelling that I needed paper and my sister took off an extra shirt she had on and handed it to me. It all happened in a matter of seconds really. Some idiot girl started laughing like it was a joke. I just kept trying to dry my laptop off and just replied , "Its not funny!!" Really why would you laugh at something like that...but anyhow. I called my boyfriend who lives only like 5 blocks away from the studio and he didn't pick up the phone...so I called his mother who always answers her phone and I told her quickly the situation. she started to get scared again for me and yelled at Gus (my boyfriend for you guys that don't know his name)...to get up. She then went into a horrific story on how at one point one of her employers had the same thing happen to her and that they had to buy a new computer all together. I about almost started to cry. I let her go and I sped all the way to Gus' house as if I was in NASCAR or something. LoL. Once I got there he got outside and he told me he would blow dry it and let it dry over a couple of hours and that I could leave it there. I thanked him and I left.

Anyway at about 9:30, he calls me with a really sad tone of voice...you know as if you were a doctor at the hospital and they are telling you that they did everything they could kinda thing...yea...that is what my boyfriend did. Then he starts to laugh and says that my computer was gunna be fine. The little ****** (insert appropriate curse word there). Nearly gave me a heart attack. Here I thought I was gunna have to save up to buy a new one and lose all my memories and such that I have stored into my computer.

W/e I'm always going to have a water stain on my screen but if anything it will be a reminder to sit in my car and watch w/e it is if I ever take them to flamenco class again. LoL. So that is it for the most part. Thought you guys would enjoy me sharing that with you!! Have a great day guys!!

Well, in other news, I'm currently trying to develop a style or even a concept for a project I have for class. I am concentrating on objects and possibly trying to repeat the image many times or even try to incorporate the idea of how in fairy tales either a certain number is repeated or how the character over time has been used to refer to someone or something in a conceptual or modern manner. My brain feels kinda blocked but I've been drawing more this weekend than I really have before. I just need to figure out something for tomorrow. Who knows what I'll come up with. I just know I'll be showing a bit more stuff on here soon. Just be patient and it will be up sooner than later.
