So please, forgive me for overreact over this piece, as I’m trying to show you how happy I am with it, not so much with its result but, most of all, because I finally did it.

I remember last year, I had a talk with Sara (aka Evanesco75) when she was finishing her fanfic "Never Enough", as we talked about ideas for a new story.
Then I showed her a picture of the great artist Luis Royo as I said her that maybe someday I would make a Ron and Hermione version of it and that the original one could give her some inspiration for a new work.
Well, I don’t know how much of this picture will appear on her amazing new work "Of Blood and Magic", but you can have an idea how long it took for me to find the courage to do this art.

I have already showed you many times how my fixation in this couple makes me to see them everywhere and this is not the first time I make a Ron and Hermione version of some famous picture, but this one has a special meaning for me, not only because is over one of my favorite illustrations of all times but also because I only felt security on my skills with the pencils for doing it in this moment.
Although the image looks simple it took me about one month to make it, more hours in one work than any other fanart I have done till now, I think, so many details it has for its coloring part.

I finished it last October and my happiness afterwards, to have finally reach a dream, was so big that I decided to only post it by the end of the year as a reminder for me of this achieve and because I want to give it as a gift to all my friends here, HP lovers, specially those who like me, love an AU fanfic involving these two: it may have not a story for it written yet, but I think the picture tells it all!

This fanart was made in a 200gr A4 Canson paper with gouache, dry watercolor pencils and pastels sticks. NO PHOTOSHOP used.

I’ll have a break till next February, because it’s summer vacations here and I’ll be out with no computer, but I’ll have a new art post meanwhile, as an anonymous at LiveJournal community "hp_canon_love".
I hope you could see it as I hope everybody have a great time in the next holidays!

I remember I've read sometime ago, here in my friends list page, someone who was saying she knew that artists use almost all the time references and to know them, could finish the magic of an art work.
My opinion is that the problem is not the public to know from where your ideas come from but how to transform these references in something that express so deeply your thoughts, your own style, recreating what was already created and changing it in something new to everybody's eyes.
You won't end the magic if this happens. It will be transformed.

Like I told you sometime ago, I've been working in old fanarts I've started for some scenes of an specific chapter of Redblaze(or Bluerain)'s More than Memories(for a while now ), and it's being hard to finished them because, apart from real life's problems, new ideas are always coming to my mind and I'm always putting the old projects aside. But this time, the idea for a new fanart that came to me was for this same chapter and I had it while I was reading a "Rolling Stones" magazine few months ago and I've watched a jeans advertising.

And today I'm showing to you how Calvin Klein helped me to make this Ron and Hermione's moment comes alive.

As you’re getting older you also learn that sometimes life looks like a great mosaic made from little moments, people and things you love, all of them put together and forming who you are.
Although we’re apart by many things, different countries, cultures, languages, life stories, age and so on, I like to think that you and I have some parts of “our mosaics” formed by the same pieces: our love for this character, Ron Weasley, for art, music, movies and these girls from this site, Ice Cream Man, that support your career, working everyday to bring it to many fans and are great real friends of mine.
My first idea for my gift of this year, was to draw all the photos that were taken for Blag magazine, but unhappily life also makes you leave by its way lots of things you planed.
I think they are the blank spaces of the “mosaic”, where we couldn’t find the right piece to fill it, or even pieces lost with the passing of time.
These drawings I finished, look a little different of what I use to do. I made them while I was rediscovering a great artist that I admire, Dave McKean, a comic illustrator that has been working for a long time with the wonderful writer, Neil Gaiman.
I made them by his influence but, of course, in my way and capacity.
All of them are handmade, using different techniques: pastel, gouache, dry watercolor pencils.
Funny that while I was working, I discovered that this artist collaborated for the conceptual art of “Harry Potter and the Prisioner of Azkaban” and “Goblet of fire”.
Another common piece.
The lyrics I used came to me always with some relation with you.
Just one of them, “Good Riddance” by Green Day appeared at my iPod, while I was working and typed the world Life.

I made a “little change” and I think it turned perfect for a guy that is completing 21 years old.
Perfect to add to these drawings that I hope you could have with you, forever, as part of your “mosaic”.

Another turning point;
a fork stuck in the road.

Time grabs you by the wrist;
directs you where to go.

So make the best of this test
and don't ask why.

It's not a question
but a lesson learned in time.

So take the photographs
and still frames in your mind.

Hang it on a shelf
of good health and good time.

Tattoos of memories
and dead skin on trial.

For what it's worth,

When Karo, a staff member of Rupert-Grint.us(Ice Cream Man), asked me at the end of May if I could make a drawing as a surprise the others staff members and all the fans of the site to celebrate Ice Cream Man's 5th birthday, I didn't think twice.
Ice Cream Man site is part of my daily life, where lots of my online friends are. We don’t only share the same love for Rupert Grint but also for many other things. It always seems that the talk starts on him and ends with all of us speaking about music, books, movies, food, everything.
It is a place where Rupert’s fans also know that behind my art there’s a person, because I was always respected there not only as an artist that can eventually contribute to the site, but also as human being.
So, my first idea for the drawing came quickly for sure: to draw Rupert as an old fashioned ice-cream man, which was approved by Karo immediately.
The idea developed to the one that I’m giving to you today, a drawing based on the magnificent work of one of the most wonderful illustrators of all times, Norman Rockwell, and his work for the covers of the Saturday Evening Post.
Although it might look simple, it was hard to do it. Everything handmade including the fonts, like it was by the time of the magazine and also doing a foreshortening drawing, is never the most easy thing to do, but I really hope you enjoy it.
It was made with all my heart as I know their work is done there every day in the site!

I’m not sure if this is totally true.
Not for all the cases.
I heard The Beatles for the first time when I was twelve years old and became instantly a beatlemaniac.
After them, a hundred new ones, new passions came and I still love them.
I got married with my first great love and we had three kids.
I only felt that, through the years, my heart was getting bigger and bigger with plenty space for everybody.
It happens here, all the time!
Friends that are here with me since the beginning and I know will also be after the new ones that are always coming.
Old friends like Monica, one of my oldest friends at LiveJournal who is celebrating her birthday on July 6th and to whom this picture is dedicated.
We discovered together this new love for Jamie and Claire from Diana Gabaldon’s series "Outlander", but we both know we’ll never give up from our old and great love, Ron and Hermione.

To make a fanart for “Outlander” was a different experience. I came to Ron and Hermione after the movies, so it was easy to picture them, as you know I do, when I’m reading their stories or making fanarts.
Now, with Jamie and Claire, their images are not so clear and definitive to me, it’s like I’m looking for references every time I’m reading them and for me, being a portraitist, this could be a good or a bad thing.
I’m trying my best to have this in my favor, so, I have for this one “very famous” references, and I decided not to confirm them (but would be funny if you give your opinion), because, although this is the most closer I have in mind when I’m reading the books, you know, they can change a little in the future.
Yes, I’m planning to do few more for these books that is my great new love.
To make fanarts for this story is even harder than to do for the Harry Potter series because of the millions of details, that you face while reading them, that aren’t only fruits of a great author’s imagination, but also historical facts.
I still have so much to study and research but this is the great challenge in to work for them.
And if you never read them, please don’t wait more!
Hurry up and do so!

So, this fanart doesn't have a different story, and I'll tell it to you now.

I'm kind of obsessed with the image of Ron and Hermione in his Hogwarts bed since I read the fanfic that made me well, obsessed with them, Emmilyne’s "Of Hearts and Heroes".

I already did one almost two years ago based in a Beatles song, called "Golden Slumbers".

But I’ve decided to make one of them on it again, when I saw a photo of Ron/Rupert from HBP movie lying in Ron's bed smiling and there was an amazing red fabric behind it.
So my first idea was to use in this art a technique already used by many artists much before PhotoShop was invented. One that I learn to love on my studies about art history, when I found out about the work of the great pop artist Richard Hamilton and later, in the works of some comics illustrators like Bill Sienkiewicz.

I found out a very blurred reference for the pose of the characters (that ended doesn't helping me much) and started to make some sketches.
When I finally thought one of them was fine to start to color, I was giving it the first brushes when a video were Rupert Grint was interviewed in a golf camp surfaced on internet.
On it the reporter asked what was the most important rock group in the history for him.
Although I disagree with Mr. Grint, I felt surprised when he answered "Oasis" and I looked down to the paper and the perfect name for my art appeared so clear in my mind:
"Wonderwall!"

Well, you will find out why when you watch it!

The theme for it, they both together in the "four-poster bed" was something I wanted to draw since I started on fandom and my opinion is that this could hardly happen in the canon world. But in fandom we have many examples like the one I mention above.
And again for my surprise, during the days I was working on the fanart I discovered an incredible fanfic, "The First Two Times" by Potterhead37, placed hours right after the last battle in "Deathly Hallows", where they both share Ron's bed in Hogwarts and have their first moment of intimacy.
It was the story I had in mind when I was creating the art.
I love the thought of them being the comfort for each other in those moments, but also surrendering to the feelings they just found out were mutual.
And wanting to be only one forever!

So, I had everything when I finished the art last January: the theme, the name, the song, the perfect story for it, I even asked for "Potterhead37" permission to post the links of her story, but I don't know, I just didn't had the feeling to post it.

Maybe because my adult art always has a light and subtle sensuality, and I felt that maybe this one had a "little more" than the usual. I though that I went literally a little bit "lower" on it!
And you already know how people here, at DeviantArt, think about Ron and Hermione as adults.
Maybe for them the image of the couple at "Deathly Hallows" epilogue are of two 11 years old boy and girl, married taking their two kids to the Hogwarts train station!
And these thoughts kept chasing me till the last week, when I open the file with its image while I heard Oasis at a live show on TV here in the city I live, São Paulo.

For the record: at the day of the final battle in Hogwarts, May 2nd 1998, Hermione ( The Brunette witch) was 18 years, 7 months and 13 days old as Ron (The redhead wizard) was 18 years, 2 months and 1 day old.

As you all know, Rupert Grint filmed an indie thriller/drama Cherrybomb last year; but the film hasn't been released yet. IceCreamMan site have received word from the Cherrybomb production team, The Little Film Company that there's been a problem with securing a distribution deal, because the old dudes who run distribution companies think that there isn't enough interest in Cherrybomb. So, The Little Company asked for our help!
We need to prove these old dudes they are wrong!
Thus a campaign has been launched in order to ensure the widest possible cinematic release for Cherrybomb. Here's how you can get involved: IceCreamMan(and they are not asking for any credict) has composed a petition and they need your signature to show that, if given the opportunity, you would actually go and see this film!

There are six separate petitions targeting the US, the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Brazil. If your country is currently not on the list, please sign the petition for the country nearest to you (for example, if you're from Argentina, sign the Brazilian petition); have no worries, they will be adding more petitions in different languages soon, but it is important that we collect as many signatures as possible before the Cannes Film Festival screening of Cherrybomb (14 May).

Yes, maybe this is the hardest price of fame, of giving something only you can create to the others. To police yourself in every step you take, asking all the time Am I doing right? Am I doing wrong?, while at same time, you can't forget to live your own life in the way you think it should have lived and to believe in your principles.
In the latest days some photos of Rupert and Emma with their dates or friends (nobody knows the true and it really doesn't matter), had surfaced in internet.
After I saw them, I thought that maybe this is the perfect opportunity for people see in my art what I really see on them, before, while and after I’m working.
My love to Ron and Hermione.
That is all what they are about.
Art about this love, and how I see it in my mind.
And if, like I said many times before, they look like the actors, this is more than anything, a tribute and respect to their work.
Maybe for these two young actors, I’m taking my part in their mind sanity, but I have to declare, believe me, I’m giving lot of mine too!

You have noticed that my life isn't giving me many chances to draw, my enthusiasm declined a lot, or I'm just tired, too.
Maybe because I've been a little lazy to start, to draw something new, I’m working lately in some old works I did last year for "More than Memories"and "Never Enough" and I have never finished. Making those sketches has taken me a lot of time too and I couldn’t left them undone.
So probably it'll be a little repetitive for you, but I need this feeling that I’m finishing something that was left aside that I shouldn’t have.
Like I had to finish them before to start something new.
And there are so many new things I want to do now, like for example, to dedicate some of my work to this new couple I found out in "Outlander" series, Jamie and Claire.
Like to work in some originals for the original work, of this friend of mine, Kele , aka Redblaze or Bluerain, who wrote this incredible unfinished fanfic.
A story, which I truly hope, she could find someday, with herself, time, peace of mind, joy to finally end it.
I have already read some roughs of the next chapters, and believe me, they are amazing!

I chose to illustrate a part of it that in my opinion is one of the greatest moments in all Ron and Hermione fanfics history, where you can feel while reading it, the tension growing up between the characters till it culminates in this scene.
I hope you enjoy the drawing.

But I wanted to let you know that your words fill my heart with happiness and power to keep me going on.

Well yesterday was my Birthday, and since I didn't post any new drawing since the year had begun, I think this is the best time, right?

Some of you could like to know from where my ideas come, what you know, was my first wish when I chose to post my fanarts at the web: to share with everybody, the shinning moment of the creation!
Great part of the images I've been creating come to me after reading some passages of, most of the times, fanfics.
Sometimes the idea comes from different images, photos, pictures, art, that I transform in Ron and Hermione's moments.
This one came to me after I listened to a song, one I have already knew the lyrics and the story behind it since I was too much young.

It was back in January, when I was spending my vacations on the beaches.
I watched, in the beginning of one afternoon, a "House MD" episode where this song appeared.
Later, at the same day, I was walking on the beach and remembered to search for it in my iPod that was with me.
And I will never forget the image of the drawing coming to me while I listen to it and watch the sea!
Ron passing his hand in Hermione's hair, while she was sleeping!
The place where they were, for most obvious that could had been, when I had my first thoughts about it, just came to me days after: Shell Cottage!

For me, R&Hr time in Shell Cottage was crucial for them understand the feelings of one for another.
At Malfoy manor, Ron faced the terror of almost lose Hermione, and she had the certain of how much she was important to him.
Like someone said at "Checkmated" site, "on those moments Ron turned his feelings from what does Hermione think of me to no matter what she thinks, I love her and the world cannot be right for me without her in it, a similar emotional awakening that for sure Hermione felt when Ron was poisoned about a year before".

He realized what to love her really was. The pain of she doesn't want to be with him couldn't be worse than the pain of not to be around her anymore.
He wanted first of all to see her safe and happy.
And of course he wouldn't be insecure anymore to show her his true feelings by his acts, without fear of her answer, because they faced the reality, through Bellatrix madness, of how fragile could be their future.
He wanted to be loved by her, but most of all, he wanted her near to be loved by him!
So, he would fight to have her alive by his side at the end of the war.

Again, my love for them turned this song in a perfect one for this moment.

While I was working in this drawing I read many, many wonderful fanfics about missing moments of this DH's passage, but I decided to invited a friend to post a new one with the fanart, and I'm glad that my dear Tammy, aka "Missgranger2" accepted my invite!

I hope you like to read her fanfic as much as I did!
And isn't great to know they will be filming Shell Cottage moments for "Deathly Hallows" movie in a few days, just after Easter?

I wasn't there!
So it's like an internet fairy tale that became real!

I couldn’t believe in how many people I have here that really cares about me and my work!

I sent another message to DA explaining how Harry Potter fandom works, and also how the characters ended in the last book as adults and I got this reply:

“The logs indicate that the characters depicted in the work are underage characters from the Harry Potter series.

Our rules prohibit established underage characters from being depicted in any sort of nude or erotic manner and all instances of this sort of things are removed immediately as they come to the attention of the staff.”

So my decision is that after this answer of them is that

I NEVER DID AND NEVER WILL DO HARRY POTTER ADULT FANART!

ALL MY ADULT WORKS ARE AND WILL BE ABOUT AN ADULT REDHEAD WIZARD AND AN ADULT BRUNETTE WITCH IN LOVE!!

So, you’ll never find my adult work under the tag of Harry Potter or Ron and Hermione in DeviantArt because IT’S NOT ABOUTT THEM!

I edited all my adult fanart to correct “my mistakes” in called them as Ron & Hermione.What a hard work I had but from now own my adult characters will always called as

“THE REDHEAD WIZARD AND THE BRUNETTE WITCH”

Will be much more difficult to find these works around the galleries but I prefer this than to have my drawings that I worked so hard to do, being deleted and my friends that fav them, losing the image in their galleries.

And just to think about that there is a huge Harry Potter fandom around the world that see them as adults in the “nineteen years between the last chapter and the Epilogue” in Deathly Hallows!

Maybe DeviantArt and some viewers, think Rose and Hugo were made by them using “wandless magic”, you know what I mean!

Well, I had the same problem last month with an anonymous viewer at LiveJournal!! Someone that clearly can't see art as art!

I think lots of people didn't read well "Deathly Halllows" or forgot the Epilogue where Ron & Hermione ended married at the age of 38 years old with two kids!

I also want to know how did the person (and wrost the member staff of the site) conclude that the characters were underage in my picture?

How the member staff, that probably never read Harry Potter books and also doesn't know nothing about its fandom, based his conclusion in just a single person oppinion?

I am right now, not only mad but amazed with this whole sitiuation!!

If you remember this work of mine, tell me I pictured on it Ron & Hermione as kids or adults in love?

When I saw some of the latest pictures of Rupert, that were taken while he was filming "Wild Target" in London, with stubble on his face, I thought how "our boy" isn´t a boy anymore, and right in that moment, this picture above came to my mind.
This is a proof, one more time, that I can see Ron and Hermione everywhere, but certainly when my "real Muse" is helping me, it’s much more easy!

This one was made with gouache, watercolor pencils and a little bit of pastels in a A4 size 180gr Canson paper.

This is my last drawing from this productive year, one that I´m certain will never repeat, so I want to thank you all for your love, wishing to all my friends at LiveJournal, RupertGrint.us (ICM), Checkmated, DeviantArt, Oclumência and many other sites I love to be a member and watcher a

“Do you know that you have your mother’s eyes, pumpkin?” gushed Ron. “They are the prettiest Daddy has ever seen. Oh yes, they are… they’re chocolate, the sweetest thing in the world. But you can’t eat some just yet or your mummy would have kittens. You’ll fancy it, when you’ll have teeth and can properly enjoy it.”

Rose put her little hand in her mouth and sucked. Ron laughed while he put the last piece of chocolate in his mouth, and Rose put her hand in her mouth again, imitating her dad. Then Rosie cooed, stretching her arm towards the window.

Ron turned around to face the window and saw the backyard getting white. “Look, Rosie! It’s snowing! Have I told you that I once made snow for your mummy in a Charm class? When it happened, she gave me one of her brightest smiles that I won’t ever forget, just like your gorgeous smile, pumpkin.”

Slowly and quietly as to avoid interrupting what was happening close to the window in their cottage’s living room, Hermione leaned against the kitchen’s doorframe and smiled indulgently. She watched her husband with delight. He was holding their six month old daughter, Rose, and whispering to her some words that made the little girl move her arms happily towards the window.

Hermione enjoyed watching Ron and Rose together, his grins filled the room with light, and their little girl’s smile warmed the cottage, even on snowy and cold November evenings.

She warms our whole world.

Hermione got closer to Ron and Rose, who stretched her arms out to her. Hermione held her daughter in her arms and kissed her cheek. Ron grinned and put an arm around Hermione’s shoulder. The pride that filled his eyes as he looked lovingly at Hermione and Rose held too much emotion to be described.

Hermione got closer to Ron and lightly kissed his lips. “I was wondering if you would like to sit closer to the fire while we drink tea and eat the delicious chocolate cake I made. Then we could wrap up in a blanket and watch the snow until dinnertime. How about it?”

Ron winked and took Rose in his arms again. “Only if Rosie agrees. Right, Rosie?”

The baby cooed happily, and Hermione rolled her eyes playfully. A sense of déjà vu swept over Hermione; it was as if the cycle had been repeated. However this time, everything was happening with their baby.

In photos, pictures, songs, poems…

It happens with me all the time!
Does it happen to you too?
Have you ever had this intoxicating experience?

I'd already showed to you some of my reveries, when I made R&Hr versions of Klimt's and also Rodin's The Kiss.

This time, this association came when I was, as I do many times, lost in Deviant Art Gallery.
I found there some references of a Polish artist, Zdzislaw Beksinski, then I started to research through internet, and found myself totally involved with his art.

The image that called my attention and suddenly transformed in my mind in a new Ron and Hermione´s one, shows a couple embracing.
But this couple has only few characteristics of an alive human one.
They are consumed and lost in their feelings of love, despair, need of each other and their image bring you feelings that remain in a thin line between the macabre and the divine!
It was easy to transform this picture as soon as I saw it in another R&Hr moment on my mind, but I tried to change the emotions on it to complicity, tenderness, although it's also could read as the despair, the urgency of lovers that need each other!

No, it isn't an easy and helpful image to use as reference and I tried to keep some links of it to my drawing.
I kept it showing some signs of the original one like colors, textures and proportions, but the differences are putting out not only in the forms of the human beings on it but also in the technique I used.

Pastels gave him a smooth atmosphere!

And I'm glad that from times to times, I still feel the need to use them, one of the first mediums I felt in love, one where you can reach the perfect fusion of colors while doing the skins, it's quicker for me than others where I need brushes (this one took me about two days of work) and could give me a huge feeling of being doing really art because you have, with them, your hands, fingers literally dirties and impregnated with the colors.
Certainly some computers programs could show close results on the screen but I'm sure that never the same ones on your soul!

I've paid more attention and when they started to play this song, "Chasing Cars", a new idea just "burst in to life"
inside my head:

An end of a cycle in Ron and Hermione's lives, a beginning of other,
just like a circle, that started and ended the same way.

While I was working in this new drawing, I thought, why couldn´t be this a scene about Ron and Hermione, at the same place of the last one, the Orchard, but a year later?

I told Willowwand about this and here is part of our "new trip" to Ron and Hermione's Orchard!
Unhappilly I can´t post all the fanfic here , because it´s a NC-17 but I hope you like the summary of this wonderful "translation of the image to words"

Back to the Orchard

"The day was stifling hot. The sun was dropping low in the sky, causing the leaves in the orchard to glitter. The afternoon was clear, just like a certain afternoon not quite a year ago, when they’d spent a similar afternoon in this spot.

Ron was sweaty and lethargic, but he couldn’t blame the heat entirely for that. He rolled his head lazily to face Hermione, who was curled up on her side beside him wearing his most-worn Chudley Cannons t-shirt. He could see the outline of her nipples through the faded shirt and he felt his arousal stir within him. The shirt was riding up her thighs exposing just a hint of her white cotton knickers.

“God, I missed you,” Ron whispered into her hair as he hugged her tightly. It had been two long weeks since he’d watched her emerge from the Hogwarts Express. He had been disappointed to find out that, contrary to their plans, just because she was home from school, it didn’t mean that they’d get to spend any more time together.

Her parents had surprised her with an extended holiday to Italy to celebrate the end of school. Quite unexpectedly Ron and Hermione had been separated once more.

“I missed you, too, Ron,” she said.

Ron had been worried about how it would be for them to reconnect. He had hoped things wouldn’t be awkward, but thankfully, things had come together nicely. Better than he expected, really. With the help of his mum, he had packed a nice lunch. The plan had been to spread his Cannons blanket near the pond, within sight of the house, but Hermione had expressed a desire to return to the private spot in the orchard where they’d spent several glorious hours the previous summer.

Luckily for Ron, the location wasn’t the only part of that day Hermione had wanted to revisit. Ron had pressed her down on his blanket, her hair spreading out wildly over the orange patchwork. They’d made love slowly, taking time to reacquaint themselves with each other’s bodies. Afterward, she’d slipped on his favorite Chudley Cannons shirt and her knickers, forever worried that the spells she put up for privacy wouldn’t hold. He himself had pulled on his jeans, sans boxers, not even bothering to button them. Ron hadn’t felt so content in nearly a year. He finally felt whole having her lying in his arms. It was a wonderful feeling.

“So are you going to show me all the new spells you learned?” Ron teased.

Hermione laughed. “I thought you didn’t like me to talk about schoolwork.”

“But I like when you teach me new things,” he said with a sly grin. “Come on, Hermione.”

“Do you need a review first?” she asked. “Maybe a little swish and flick?”

“I think I have that one down,” Ron said. He groped for his wand with his left hand, unwilling free his wand arm from around Hermione. He gripped the handle and brought his wand up. She was the person that had addicted me, with her stories, to the image of "Ron, Hermione and his Chudley Cannons blanket", and if you had read this story or some others of her, you know what I´m talking about.

She asked me for a hot scene about it, and knowing how she is a fanactic fan of Rupert, I could understand her!!
As she also understood me when I said that, because the "same reason" (Rupert), this subject always must be (and it´s being a lot lately ) lightly touched on my drawings.

With this in mind, I started to think how to do it. And the idea didn’t come easy! :S
It only happened when after, re-reading the story for the hundred time, I, with my iPod on my hands, put on the search the words "Make love".
This Snow Patrol’s song, "Make love to me forever" appeared and like a video-clip (and I wish I could make one with this idea) the image blowed up on my mind:

"Ron and Hermione, only involved with his blanket, lying on the grass, in a "wind tunnel", like a delicate whirl of colors, fabric, leaves, flowers, skin, pleasure sights, circulating like the song's melody and rhythm, while their thoughts were only make love to each other forever!"

And here it is!
I really like the fact that it ends looking something like an illustration for an Art Noveau poster, with all the organics elements and bright colors!

Rupert Grint's 20th Birthday!

How couldn't I make something for him that, beside Ron, it's my great Muse!
Of course, I shouldn't even be telling you that they are like one in my work!
Because of this "connection" they both have in the drawings, that last year, when I made his Birthday Card for RupertGrint.net I tried to emphasize Rupert as the real and normal guy of his age, showing things that he loves and that every fan could easily see him on them as himself did.

I can't believe one year had passed since then!

I´m so happy about all the things we're reading about his new movie "Cherrybomb"!
And for this "gift" I choose to work over the only promotional photo we have for this movie so far.

A photo that I consider one of the best publicity moves made by any of the actors from the main HP trio!
While Dan's "Equus" photos had also their impact (and this last one made by Annie Liebowitz is wonderful) I think they don't have the same dimension of this single one made by Rupert, because we all know what happened and what was expect about Dan on "Equus"! While on this, the first reation of everyone that had looked at Rupert's "bloody face" was "What the hell happened to this guy?" and we still don´t know anything precisely!
The photo is perfect as it is!

I noticed that the answer for it by many of his fans was, that his eyes are so impressive on it that the last thing we see on it is the bloody make-up!
But the idea of this drawing came to me after this reaction of my youngest son, that is a fan of him since he was in diapers:


"Oh, Mom, what had happen to him? I can´t stand to look at his face like this!"


So I decided to challenge myself and made the drawing of him but without the make-up!
I also used gouache, the technique I'm experimenting lately.
It was really hard, one of the most difficult works I have done so far, and after about 19 hours with my computer screen open on the high quality photo, this was the result I got.

I ask you ever to consider that this is a drawing with all its limitations (but also the freedom of an art piece), not a photo, that at least made my son happy:

This is also the drawing that is on its way to Rupert's hand with the gift RupertGrint.us (IceCreamMan) prepared for him this year, a beautiful scrapbook with many works made by his fans!

Fans that are crazy to see him as Ron in "Half Blood Prince" and got disappointed by its postponement, but also want so much to see him on this new movie, wishing and certainly knowing he´ll have a great career ahead because they, like me, know that

Ron will always be Rupert for many HP fans, but Rupert, will be much more than just Ron!!

Well if you haven't heard yet, this is obvious for everybody that know my work!
Why?
Because he's probably, to me, the most close of a human being of all characters in HP. With all the fears and doubts of a "normal" teenager.
This opinion of mine you already know, as the one about his incredible sense of humour, some of the best lines and quotes from the books! But what about his bravery? One that wasn't imposed but was a choice!
Yes, since the first book I've found on him what certainly Hermione had too, watching her friend,"the knight on the black horse"!

As the movies seem don't bring up too much this side of Ron or sometimes even change it, what clearly (and I'm certain of this) had created a legion of people that don't capture, the importance of this character, by the other hand, in a great number of fanfics these qualities of him are explored in its true essence.

I remember, while I was reading the fanfic "Never Enough", I think a little before "Deathly Hallows", had thought to myself "Here´s is the "normal teenager", revolted about the pain that the destiny brought to him, the murdered of his mother, turning into a man in his fight for justice, and finding the love in the middle of an external and internal battle. Here´s Ron Weasley!"

This is my first drawing by this story made by request of its writer, Sara (aka Evanesco75).
On it we can see Ron as a "Clandestine Combatant" with some specifc characteristcs Sara gave me:

"Ron clothes, well mostly black: I was thinking, black jeans, black dragonhide boots, black leather overcoat. Stubble"

And she gave me freedom for all the rest!

So, I choose Ron's wrist for his tattoo (yes I'll be an expert on this), the right one so it could be seen when he points the wand; some other detail that I'll explain better in another art (leather bracelets), his belt (and Rupert´s fans will know why I did it this way, for sure). [link]

And, one more time, I worked with an abstract background, that at the end, I think fits well and says a lot about "Never Enough".

"Yes, the features that I picture when I'm reading Ron and Hermione on the books, on fanfics while they were talking, arguing, fighting against Voldemort, kissing, eating chocolate frogs and lollypops, running through the fields with little lambs are Rupert and Emma ones, but when I'm reading scenes of them having intimates moments, in fanfics rated R or NC-17(which I read a LOT), no, no, in my mind I don't picture them the same way!"

Well, I'm not a hypocrite. So, how could I turn up in one when I have to put a moment of love between my fav couple in a drawing?

I'll never do anything explicit because, putting aside all the ethic discussion with the images involved in something like this, that is a quite obvious point, I think, and now saying my opinion, artistically, when you leave "somethings in the air" in a picture, you created a vast space for people complete your work with their own ideas. This isn't easy to do and is one of the greatest differences (for me) between erotic art and porn. And I'm not (again) criticizing anyobody, let this be very clear. In art, I may not do, but I watch everything.

When I made this [link] drawing for redblaze 's "More than Memories" I wanted, also, to transform into a drawing an image that was, I thought, a beautiful one I had inside my head which was Ron with his hair in the same way, spread over the bed.

The difficulties I found to do this art that I'm posting today, like have no references of them kissing just a dark and little screen cap of Rupert on "Driving Lessons", made me put it aside even when I finished it, not, you know, so happy with it and the results I got. I was also reluctant to post it, but as many of fanartists share even their sketches with their public, like I did many times too, why shouldn't I show it?

Even because I was wanting with it to illustrated (not literally) one of the most beautiful moments of "More than Memories" and I think of HP fanfics history, but also in this image I created for it, I can see many moments of Ron and Hermione I had read through these years on fanfics and, I can say, too, a moment that happened so many times (oh happy thoughts!) with our dearest ones in the gap of the nineteen years we have in "Deathly Hallows" between the last chapter and the epilogue!

And at the end, I don´t even think they look like Rupert and Emma, do they?
Nah, they are Ron and Hermione, dear.

Ron singing a song to himself while everybody was working for Harry´s party; as he was going around, noticing every move Hermione was making, trying to find something nice to say to her.
That's how I particularly picture this part of Deathly Hallows, one of the most sensual things JKR ever wrote!
Now you are asking me: most sensual?
Yes, we all know how she works so well the details in her books, so did you pay attention where this male and female seductive dance happened?


Next a crab-apple tree!!


This few lines of Ron and Hermione have a subtle sensual way to show their situation in a, should I say, most Biblical way ?

This piece took me an eternal time to finish, because the difficult size of the details I was working on! There were sometimes I got up my head from it and all I saw around was streams and stripes!
It was made on a Canson 180gr A4 paper with watercolor and watercolor pencils (NO Photoshop).Again the golden ink doesn't appear after I scanned it.
I asked for some help at Checkmated forums about Ron's watch, and people there only found one reference about Dumbleodore's, that was a pocket one. So I decided to make Ron's as a wrist one, because it's much more modern, practical and for sure, sexier.
I think it shows a brief moment of happiness of my fav couple before the storm, and the palette of colors I chose for it passes this feeling. And of course, as I am a left-hand drawer, the composition is perfect for me!

How wonderful is to be transported by a situation, a place while you are reading a well written text? How wonderful is to have a full image formed on your mind made by words?
Sometimes these words made you associate this image with others wonderful things you have lived, with things that you love.

This was what happened with me when I’ve read this singular passage of Redblaze ´s "More than Memories" for the first time.
I remembered instantly of Paul McCartney's song Calico skies. One of those only he knows how to do.
His voice, a guitar, a love song.
Listening to it was how I worked on this piece.
Imagining Hermione "feeling", with the pads of her fingers, the words of love on Ron's lips:

"I love you enough to die for."

How canon sounded the characters ?
How beautiful is this image?

And I wanted to have drew them lying, in this moment, on the sheets of their bed.But at the end, surprising me, they look like, in this image I made for this scene, living their forever love under "Calico Skies"!!

"It was written that I would love you

And the morning when I first saw you

“Oh, um,” Hermione sighed, rolling over in his arms and staring into his eyes that seemed so very blue in the darkness. She never remembered them being so bright. She stroked his cheek, feeling stubble against her fingers. “Enough to die for,” she said, and smiled at him. “That’s a lot.”
“It is,” he agreed, his voice sounded hoarse and choked. “But, that isn’t an option. We’re making Harry Secret Keeper tomorrow.”
Hermione traced his lips with the pad of her finger. “Tell me you love me, Ron.”
“I love you, Hermione,” he said against her fingers, which was nice because she felt the words as well as heard them. He kissed the tips of her fingers and then grabbed her hand and pressed his lips against her wrist and whispered softly, “Enough to die for.”
Hermione smiled and closed her eyes, finding that it was really easy to fall into unconsciousness."

"My grandmother used to say that photos are snippets from our memories, kept in pieces of paper, so that we might remind ourselves when our minds become lazy with age.
I'm not convinced our minds will forget the most important moments of our lives. I believe that there are unforgettable moments that we won't remember only when we are no longer alive. But maybe it's only me in my late twenties.
Although I couldn't agree more with her when she said that photos hold a Magic of their own, especially once I saw the Magical photos. They are more exciting and catch more details than the Muggle ones. Looking at them is like we are living the moment over and over again, and it's quite fascinating.
Because my mother grew up in a house full of framed photos which represented the most cherished moments of her family through the ages, she did the same in the house we lived in until I was twelve. So I've been in love with the idea since always.
I dreamt of having a large shelf in my own house, in the living room or in the library. And upon them would be nice and simple photo frames displaying the cherished moments and familiar traditions that connect my family with Ron's. Just as Molly very much likes to put photos of her children and grandchildren in the The Burrow's living room where they are like wallpaper pieces, which make walls almost come alive with colors, moving, and Weasley grins.
There are snippets from my childhood, amazing moments from my time as a student at Hogwarts and my and Ron's happiest moments, displayed on the large and simple bookshelves in my library.
Photos from our time at the Quidditch World Cup before fourth year with Ron's family and Harry.
Summer moments at The Burrow as everyone sunbathed or had fun on in the pond.
Everyone sharing the indescribable sense of accomplishment and peace after the end of the War.
The first time Ron and I had dinner at The Burrow as a couple.
Broom flights for Ron and me on Saturday afternoons when we dated before we went to our favorite place for our private snogging.
The evidence of being caught once by Bill when we were returning to the backyard of The Burrow, which is one of the funniest photos ever: Ron and I blushing like tomatoes with our messed hair and clothes, riding a broomstick. George and Charlie still nag Ron about that nowadays.
On the day we and Harry received our 'Order of Merlin' awards for services to the Wizarding world, a proud moment for all of us.
Mine and Ron's wedding day reception at the moment that George tried to vanish the mud from my bridal veil, performing a charm that made the veil become red and too hot for me to wear it. The photo was taken the moment that most of guests were laughing and trying to help rid me of it. This memory brings always a smile to my face.
The day Rose was born, as Ron held her in his arms, his grin getting bigger as my eyes filled with tears of joy, looking at them and at Charlie, who took the photo, grinning as much as Ron.
The other cherished moments that my memories hold are kept in large photo albums, placed chronologically on one of the shelves in library as well.
In this moment, I'm putting on the shelf my most recent photo-one of my favorites ever.
It is a photo from Ginny's birthday party that Harry took it unexpectedly as I held Rosie in my arms and she tenderly touched Ron's face. She loves to try touching Ron's mouth as he speaks to her. Rosie's grin is just the warmest thing in this world, so resembling that of her daddy's.
Photos are more than snippets of our memories. They are the proof that our family and friends are more precious than coins or jewelry in a vault. They display golden moments forever."

What I don´t think it happens in a well written fanfic. Although, sometimes, you have forgotten them during the reading, the details always have got you at the first time you put the eyes on them. And Kele´s work is full of beauty ones.

I tried to put some of them on this work.

This drawing from "More than Memories" chapter 24 was all handmade too, with watercolor and watercolor pencils. When you will see it, maybe you are going to ask me:"Is this Ron’s flat?" And I’ll answer with a passage of the first chapter:

"He breathed a sigh of relief when he spotted the gray outline of the cabin. He considered kipping there for the night, but really, it was a bit rustic for Ron's tastes. He preferred his nice, modern flat. He'd never understand Harry, all that money and he buys rickety old cabins in the woods. His best mate was becoming a right eccentric in his old age."

What impress me most on this sculpture are the spiral movement of the couple and the size of their hands and arms!!It looks like they were telling how they were involved by the act, the kiss, the LOVE!

I choose this image to illustrate a passage we didn´t read on JK´s books.One of the many she left for our own imagination.
Before DH release, one of the things I wanted so much to read on it was Bill
and Fleur wedding!I was always wondering how could be this moment in the magical world (that we could have a kind of special magical binds for example) and I have to confess, it was a little bit frustrating, too much "normal".
When I finished the book, I started to work in this drawing/painting version of Klimt´s picture, that for me, could illustrate the union between Ron and Hermione.
While I was doing it, I start to think that it was clear for me their unity since the beginning, how much each one complete the other, and how could it be their wedding after all the losses they suffered.So in my mind, all I dreamed before DH was eliminated, and this moment would it be just for both of them, because they feel this had really happenned since one got in each other´s life.
As usual for me, I found the perfect song for this moment of them:"The Secret Marriage" from Sting.A very delicate song, with beautiful lyrics, that tells so much about "soul mates".
What I wasn´t expecting for, was to find the right description of the scene in my mind, in Ron´s thoughts of the one shot story, wrote by my friend Linda(Pigwithhair) "Duet".
It´s a NC-17 and I hope you could read it, if you still didn´t, to complete all this image.

The drawing/painting was all made with watercolours, and I have to confess, I think is one of the most complex fanarts I made.It took me soooo much time and it seems to me, at a certain moment, I was doing a one million pieces puzzle.The colours, forms, proportions are based in the picture and its a pity that after I scaned it, we can´t see the golden ink I used (oh, Ron´s cloths) all over it like it was used by Klimt in the original one!

I´m planning to do more things like this.It was really a good experience for me.

"Ron couldn’t sleep. Had she really come into the bathroom when he’d been… had she really done that to him? Said those things? It seemed unreal yet the evidence was curled around him, sleeping contentedly. He knew this was how he wanted to spend every night.
Tomorrow they would talk. There would be no big wedding like Bill and Fleur’s.
Ron shuddered at the mere thought.

Something Fred had said came back to him and he felt the now familiar pang that filled him whenever he thought of his dead brother. Fred had thought the whole wedding thing complete bollocks and Ron was inclined to agree. Harry would be there, of course and they could just get Hagrid and Hermioine’s parents, and Ron figured they could tell his mum about five minutes before the ceremony. It would be small and simple and afterwards they could all have dinner out in the garden at the Burrow. There was no other place Ron would consider at which to get married and he was fairly sure Hermione would feel the same.
He knew she loved it there. And then she could move in here. It would be just the two of them.

Yeah, Ron thought as he relaxed against Hermione’s sleeping form, just the two of us."

"A bright silver light appeared right ahead of him, moving through the trees.Whatever the source, it was moving soundlessly.The light seemed simply to drift towards him.
He jumped to his feet, his voice frozen in his throat, and raised Hermione´s wand.He screwed up his eyes as the light became blinding, the trees in front of it pitch black in silhouette, and still the thing came closer...
And then the source of the light stepped out from behind an oak.It was a silver-white doe, moon-bright and dazzling, picking her way over the ground, still silent, and leaving no hoof prints in the fine powdering of snow.She stepped towards him, her beautiful head with its wide, long-lashed eyes held high.
Harry stared at the creature, filled with wonder, not at her strangeness, but at her inexplicable familiarity.He felt that he had been waiting for her to come, but that he had forgotten, until this moment, that they had arranged to meet.His impulse to shout for Hermione, wich had been so strong a moment ago, had gone.He knew, he would staked his life on it, that she had come for him, and him alone.
They gazed at each other for several long moments and then she turned and walked away.
'No', he said, and his voice was cracked with lack of use 'Come back!' "

What was your first idea thinking on me doing this?Yes, I know, a Rupert´s portrait!

But...one of the conditions was that his face couldn´t appear on it!
Well, I understood their point of view, which was that would be strange for someone to get a card with his portrait on it, in spite of, I myself, woudn´t mind in get portraits made by any of the fanartists friends of my list!

Thinking on this and talking with my friend Lelymarques I came to the conclusion that I would put Rupert on it anyway!And the idea to show him to his fans by a different way and also to give him a memory of his 19th year was formed.After a big research about a lot of things any of his fans associate with him, I start to work,and decided to use, again, a technique I haven´t be using a long time: watercolours!

You´re thinking: "You´re crazy woman!"Well, maybe but I did it with such a pleasure and love that I think, any technical mistake, could be covered by them!!

So I did three drawings, a work for the cover, where you will find a lot of things Rupert said he loves, like if they were over some place covered by the Union Jack flag.Hope everyone could take a little of of your time to see every detail, like the light on the stones of the Horcrux in the DH book cover, which is so important for Ron´s character, and where I had more than six hours of work;the exact model of the wand Rupert uses as Ron in the movies, the colours of his "Converse" trainers, now immortalized on Hollywood´s "The Walk of Fame"; the light and bright of the ice-cream and CDs´ covers and the minimuns drawings of the DVDs´ covers and on the Mini-Cooper and ice-cream van photos.


The others two arts are, one for the inside part of the card with the greetings, where you´ll see a piece of cake with some decoration over it imitating the flowers of the site homepage header and a unicycle and the other one with the trainers, a golf ball, an ice-cream and Ron´s wand, used as a banner on the online card.

All the photoshop works( the screen of the laptop, the letters of the greetings, the frame) was made by Lelymarques.

This is a quick work I did to celebrate Rupert´s birthday at my LJ.I used a different technique by this time, pastels.I made it in a really few time, and the idea of it came to me from one of my favs movies, "Almost Famous".

I could say a lot about this movie (better if it was on my mother language) but maybe, what I like most on it, is the way it shows the idol and the fan sides and that, although we are in differents places in front of world´s eyes, how we need and give ourselves to each others and at the end we are all humans, with the same needs, fears...

I was totally in "Almost Famous" mood, listening Elton John´s "Tiny Dancer", when I saw the HP movie trio "Walk of Fame" ceremony photos and video.And there, was so clear for me, seeing their interaction with each other and the public, Daniel jumping more than ever,Emma laughing and Rupert shaking hands, "They are so equal as the people on the other side of the line, but they aren´t there anymore a long time,and by this moment, with the printings in the cement, this is forever!"

So, the idea of this drawing came to me.And it was funny to see how Ron´s last lines, that I read days after the happening, fit it so well!!

"Ron ruffled Matthew´s hair.The little boy was feeling ashamed because he had caught misbehaving.He was looking down at the floor hiding from his parent´s gaze. and nervously rolling the hem of his green sweater between his little fingers.A little Christmas bell was hanging out of the left pocket of his dark blue cotton pants.
Hermione got close to her little son and kissed his cheek.Smoothing down his hair, she sid, "Sweetie, you can hurt ´Shanks if you keep things to his tail, and he can be very angry with you because of that.Promise me you won´t tie anything to his tail again."
Matthew looked at his dad for some support.Ron nodded to him, trying to keep a serious face, while he put back his wand inside his black jeans pocket.That promise would be difficult for Matthew to keep.He had Ron´s blue eyes and red hair, Hermione´s smile and cleverness, but he had a temper very like his uncles Fred and George.Mrs Weasley had said to Hermione many times how the twins had acted out, so like Matthew was doing at this age.

Hermione smiled softly and hugged her son.He put his arms around his mother´s neck, and kissed her cheek.Who could resist a little Ron Weasley?

I SAW HER STANDING THERE!


They´ve been around each other all the summer, planning, talking, supporting each other, flirting, but some way their relationship is still in the same level.During Bill and Fleur´s wedding she was beautiful (yes I think she is, in more than one way).A young woman!With a blue night dress (to match with his eyes, like spidergirl asked me).She captured his glances a lot of times!In some, she saw reluctance, but in others, she was sure, it was desire and, it seemed he was almost...drooling!Oh, her heart melted !The night

What more attracts me in Hermione character is her passion!She has no limits with it!She has passion for knowledge, for books, for magic, Hogwarts, her family( and Weasley family ), her friends, Crookshanks, and a specially one for a certain redhead!!
This is the first draw I did with the characters themselves!It was my "Weasley is our King" out of the movie disgusted phase!Now, I´m just sad.Maybe you´ll say: Hermione is so overjoyed!Yes, and full of passion...for her King!!
