Halloween and bonfire night have been and gone, and now the next major event to look forward to is Christmas (or.. thanksgiving if you're American, and you probably are).

Of course, the big thing of the week/ month/ year and such is the new President of America. And being English, I am filled with imense feelings of near total indifference. The main plus is that most people I talk to support him, so it'll most likely be a while before people start to complain about the various policies that they don't really agree with.

What does amuse me is that people are making a point of reffering to him as "the USA's first black president" which, although not entirely true, comes across as if people believe this will make a difference in the way people are treated. Of course, having a minority President will unite the nation.

Anyway, it was rather simple. Apparently some high up government official types have urged people in my town of Rochdale, along with a few neighbouring towns to give up hope of things improving and simply moving to London. The term "Lost cause" was used.

So anyways, I got back from the Grand Canyon yesterday. It looked pretty amazing, pictures and videos really don't do it justice. You really have to see it if you haven't. The only problem is that, since I'm not used to those kind of altitudes, my ears are really messed up.

My Wii has arrived, but I won't be able to use it untill I get back to England, so leaving Mesa behind won't be as upsetting as it was last time.

The flight home on Saturday should be fun... 11 hours with very little leg room and the worst movies of today. Bliss...

He's out of hospital now, but very weak.
And to make this the perfect Christmas... my Godfather drank himself to death this week. He passed out in a parking lot, and wound up in intensive care when he was found about an hour later. He left behind 4 children and both of his parents.
So... yeah. Again, I'm finding the Christmas spirit fails to find me (last year my Grandma was recovering from cancer, and the year before that my other Grandma died). Sometimes I don't know why I look forward to Christmas so much when so much bad stuff seems to happen over that period.
Ah well... hopefully my birthday (1st of January) won't be forgotten again this year, but really, worse has already happened.

And after all, people often forget who they are after nights out, and a card with their name on would help convince them that they aren't called "Newcastle". The wonderful art of age discrimination would be a lot easier to carry out also. Other problems could be solved as well, say someone comes up to you and asks if you are someone they want to beat up/ attack. Simply produce a card with a different name on it and you'll be safe. Ish? If someone does attack, you could give them a nasty paper cut with the edge of the card anyway, and everyone knows they sting like hell. Unfortunately, they aren't around in England yet, but in the near future, all of these wonderful bonuses could be around.

Had a concert thing with the school band on Friday. We got "Highly Commended" which is (as far as I know) the best grade they give out. The audience was the smalest we've played for in ages... I can't imagine there were more than 20. But it was fun.

As normal, I am writing this journal in my computer lesson, because I have no idea what we are supposed to be doing. Most of the people that sit near me are playing a game where the object is to beat up old people... funily enough, it doesn't appeal to me.

The pen on my graphics tablet is playing up... that's annoying. It draws when the pen is over two inches from the pad. My mouse is almost dead as well (computer mouse I mean ).

I'm kinda being pressured to spend the money I was saving for getting the new Nintendo on a new TV. That bugs me. The only real problem with the on I have now is that it's old and doesn't have a scart socket. It still works fine.

My Red Dwarf DVD *should* turn up today. They finally dispatched it, which they already said they had done over a week ago. My dad's getting used to his new pace maker, and isn't in that bad a state which is good, and my grandma isn't suffereing that much after having her kidney removed.

I'm bored, which is normal for ICT lessons. Still though... only half an hour before I can go home, and of course get a pie, can of dandilion and burdock and chocolate eclair on the way. We have a substitute teacher... he aint too nice, and he looks like a zol.

The woman pulled out a knife, some people in the crowd moved closer, and she cut the ropes. I fell to the ground. The crowd quickly dissapeared, leaving behind the woman, and the man i saw earlier. "Whats wrong with my appearance?" I asked the woman. She didn't say anything. She gestured me to follow her. We began walking, and after a couple of minutes came to a small house. She opened the door and we went inside.

She pointed to a stool, which i sat on. I looked around the room. It was cozy. A small table at which my stool was placed, a cooker and a sink. If this was anything to go by, the town was probably quite simple. 'Wonder if they still deal in pesetas' i thaught. The woman came up to me, and held a mirror in front of her. Suddenly, shouts came from the town, and looking up, i noticed a huge crowd of cloaked vilagers. One of the people came and stood next to me, behind a small altar. He began shouting things in some language i wasn't farmiliar with, the only word i could hear that he said was "lagarto!" which seemed to be used quite often. People were looking at me in shock, someone whispered "que dientes mas grandes," and more than a couple said "que es eso?".

The language sounded Spanish, a language that i had never learned (and still havn't). "What the hell is going on here?!" i snapped. The people moved back quickly, and the guy who was next to me retreated. After acouple of minutes, i mannaged to regain controll of my self, then looked around. I had never seen the place before. Behind me was sea, and stretching before me was nothing but sand. I decided, given the situation, walking on wasnt such a bad idea. I could swim well, but i wouldnt know where to go, and i couldnt hold my breath forever.

I started to walk, the sun felt good on my back. After an hour of walking, still nothing. The ocassional plant was the only other sign of life. I started to feel hungry, but i had nothing with me. I saw a figure in the distance. Suddenly, there was a loud BANG, I looked at my chest. My cold blood was slowly making its way down my front. NewlyInfected: The first step towards becoming a member. When a higher member than you promotes you to this level, ask for cured, hunter, licker, spinner or chimera. (all have equal powers)
Cured: You are cured. The T-Virus no longer affects you.
Licker: The result of adding the T-Virus directly into a subject, resulting in an incredible stealth predater, faster and more intelligent than a zombie.
Spinner: a giant spider created by adding the T-Virus to a tarantula.
Chimera: The result of adding insect DNA with a subject that contains the T-Virus. The result is a strange insectoid creature, one arm is used to hold its victim, the other to slice the victims throat. They have a strange interest in anatomy: they will often toy with there prey before devouring, removing certain parts of the body first. Sometimes while the creature is still alive.
Hunter: The result of adding the DNA of several carniverous creatures to an infected person. The result is a reptilian creature, it has poor eye sight, but incredible hearing and a great sence of smell.
Stars Members: An elite paramiliatry force based in raccon city. They have good training and access to heavy weaponry. You can only become a member of stars if you were cured.
Wesker: a former member of stars. He betrayed them, and took the T-Virous into his body. He is now a super human. He is stronger, and faster than any other T-Virous creature. He usually uses a combat knife. He is practically invincible. you can only be promoted to Wesker if you were NOT a member of cured.
Commando: A highly trained stars member may become a commando, even better weapons training and more defence techniques. only attainable if you were a stars member.
G-Monsters: a person or animal infected with the G-Virus. They have the power to regenerate after death, and are there fore invincible. The things infected by the G-Virus constantly mutate. Anyone can become a G-Monster, as it is a seperate virus to the T-Virus.
lizard-guy: is a seperate rank only I can use. Commandos and G-Monsters both have the same powers on the room as me.
