Now it's finally there, my 2008/2009 Artbook! It will be available as a single or a art-pack copy. You can pre-order it directly through me, preorder means you need to pay up front as I need to pay the books to be printed before as well, shipping can take up to a month depending on where you are.
The book has 102 full color pages and a soft bound cover WITH SPIRALS! in landscape format, 18cm x 22,9cm, it contains a own gryphon art section, vehicle art, character design, sketches and more, some images:

Guess who is back from the US? Well yeah, to sum up those two weeks, one word can barely do the job... AWESOME!
I was there with my little gang including *suzidragonlady and ~Abisan

We mostly hung around in the LosAngeles area, enslaved..ahem rented a Chevrolet Malibu which was an easy ride, none the less, you should've seen me driving it the first few miles, I WAS BRAKING for absolutely no reasons XD well I am used to stick shift so I always wanted to use the brake as a clutch we had lots of LOL-moments concerning that

and one word, concering the title, CAR POOL LANE! WOOOOHOOO! Traffic chaos around LA and SanDiego was evil but due to the fact that we were a group of people in one car, we could use that lane of awesomeness XD

Other than that we visited LasVegas as well, got to see the Hoover Dam, put a foot into Arizona 'Hey people!' went back to LA, visited the Universal Studios, saw Transformers 2 again in IMAX, enjoyed the LA Zoo, went to a huge Wal-mart and ToysRus, got to see a few Star Homes, the Walk of Fame and the Hollywood letters. Drove on to SanDiego, where we ended up in SeaWorld and visited the extremely awesome COMIC CON where we met a bunch of rockin' people, I met a few groups as well and I have no idea if any (or all) of you have a DA page as well, so if you met me and have one just poke me over here XD

Oh my, I am actually working on a detailed report as well, but that will take me a while, more about that in my LJ though...

Also concerning my ArtBook it will be ready for ordering soon, I am just sorting out some print stuff but just keep an eye on my DA journals and you will get all the detailed infos

At first, concerning the title, yeah, I will be at this years' SanDiego ComicCon, only on friday but I will be there

I do hope I will be able to meet some awesome people, get some sketches, signatures, doodles.. WHATEVER as I bring a little sketchbook with me I want to get filled

and on the other side I am bringing goodies as well! YEAH! I will have 5 different ArtCards I will give away FOR FREE, so here they are:
(bad photo though...)

so if you happen to meet me, just ask for these and you will get them

For those not being on the Con they will be available through me and you only need to pay for the shipping which is roughly 4$ the cards are waterproof credit-card like plastic prints

I will also bring my brand NEW ARTBOOK, which I just recieved, it's very shiny

I will only have one copy at the ComicCon, so the people can have a look at it, it will be open for orders after I return from the US

It's a 102 full color pages book with soft shiny cover, very light so it's easy to read and carry

If you are interested you can already preorder it via note or e-mail, price will be 24EUR without shipping, which is just the production cost as I don't plan to sell it with profit at all, if you want you can also get a signed copy.

So concerning the other things, I will be in the US, from 12th July - 26th July together with *suzidragonlady I should be able to go online but it will be really limited so if you're waiting for an answer it might take a longer while..

I will also try to be at the DEV MEET on 18th July in LosAngeles

so yeah.. HOPE TO SEE SOME OF YOU GUYS!

Also finally saw Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, overall impression... I LIKE IT

just telling that I had a few awesome days in Italy with lots of pizza, pasta, awesome weather and a big load of inspiration. Venice was awesome as ever and even after my 7th visit there is still this huge boom of AMAZEMENT as soon as you enter SanMarco...

Other than that I just finished the graphic work for an Anniversary Booklet, some Demoreel arts, two art pieces for a t-shirt I am going to wear at ComicCon SanDiego

if they reach me in time..

Also because I've been asked A LOT if I take Commissions lately, answer is still no... as I am just too busy with other things right now, but I do hope I can open them up again when the stress is gone

Still quite some weeks to go until SanDiego ComicCon.. and I NEED EVERY SINGLE WEEK oyyyyy... I do hope I get all stuff finished

Also.. I refuse to watch the last episode of TF:A just because I don't want it to end..

PLUS... Started to play Pokemon Platinum.. and I am slightly addicted again XD XD

OH DAMN! I feel so extreme overloaded, well let's call it a sensory overload. First of all, watched StarTrek which was really great, as I didn't have any expectations at all, and BAM, yeah I love postive surprises like that,

so all I can say is.. WATCH EEEET!
Also been doing lots of art stuff, lots I can't really post as it's for an Artbook release, I hope I can get that layout done by the beginning of june, it's so much work

luckily I could find the Logo in highres. as well so it turned out really shiny!

Also explains the placement of the big flags and the dark sky better, it's all completely blurred in the background there now (and makes a lot more sense XD) It's actually designed so that you can keep the original folder of the PS3 box in it and only place the print-out above the front part, so the game-details on the back of the box stay the same

want it? Send me a note and I will give you the printable file (it's going to have a signature though...) if people show interest I might do a X-box 360 version of it too

MAN and I am so behind with watching Transformers Animated, I am 2 episodes behind to be exact, but actually there is a lot of pleasant anticipation and I hope I can set my self up to date this weekend

Wowie, I can't believe how DAMN FINE the weather is outside, two weeks ago we still had snow and now... 24Â°C! I spend the last 2 days in the garage of course, already have a roof-wing set up for a lacquer job, will be done until friday next week, and finally GOT THE FIRST REAL DIRT ON MA FINGERS! Feels good

Put summer tyres and the aluminum rims up today, oh man, the snowtires looked bad, extremely dirty and not to forget, covered with de-icer salt that it hurt just looking at them. Also got two new plate holders as well, one brushed steel

and a black one for the trunk as that one doesn't need to be "that" pretty XD.
Anyway, the sunny weather and spending time in the garage with the rides makes me happy

Great way to start a LONG weekend, as monday is a official holiday here too

and because it's time
HAPPY EASTER everyone!

Time for a new entry over here as the last one was really old already, now let's get to the news...
I will be at the ComicCon SanDiego 2009, only for one day, but I will be there!

If everything runs fine... I already got my confirmation and all that stuff, so if none of the flights get cancelled, it should be a fixed date

I will probably bring a bunch of art cards I give away for free and also the art book I am working on, not sure if I will be able to draw something live, as I have only a day and I have no idea if there is "place" to do anything besides walking through the masses there XD

Other than that, I decided to do some small sketch commissions, rules are as follows:

1. These are sketch-commissions, which means they are in a rough stage, they are ONLY for PERSONAL PURPOSES, commercial useage of any kind isn't allowed!
2. I won't send out originals, as they will get a digital touch-up and shading, you get a 300dpi high-res. version of the whole drawing.
3. I won't do any changes, these are fast and fun sketch commissions, also it would be a rather bad deal for me for that price to do a hundred changes within one drawing...
4. PAYPAL only! I can only accept payments through Paypal!

5. You are allowed to use these sketches for further personal purposes, such as ink and color them, etc. as long as it's not for commercial purposes!
6. Payment is to be send up-front, I already did enough art "for free" because I didn't handle it that way
7. Only PG rated themes!
8. To claim a spot, please COMMENT here on this journal, INCLUDING roughly what you want to get DRAWN, details will be discussed via note later on! First come first serve principle.
9. I will do Anthro, Animal, Fantasy, TF:A and Humanoid Characters, Detail is partially limited, as it's a sketch commission, keep that in mind. Only SINGLE CHARACTER sketches will be done, no group images sorry...
10. Here are some examples on how the sketches will look like, they get a slight digital clean-up and a shading as well:

As the date finally fits, wish you all a Merry Christmas and some Happy Holidays no matter what and how you're celebrating it in the end!

On that way, doesn't really look like that we get snow over the Christmas holidays, as it was cold at the beginning of December, and we also got a load of snow but that is all gone yet because we're having +4Â°C and more lately *sigh*
Not that I am a big fan of cold weather and snow, but if I know that I don't need to drive somewhere, snow is nice specially during the holidays

oh heck, a new entry already?

as I don't know if I will have even one free second in the next weeks...ahem, I decided to update this journal here just because I have a moment...

Title? Yeah, currently having -7Â°C / 19Â°F ,snow, ice and all that shi..stuff.

and the heating of the flat is acting up, so I am freezing no matter if I am outside or inside XD, well I do hope it gets fixed soon, I really don't want to run around with full clothing inside my own rooms

other than that I need new snow tires too, ARGH!
Also wanted to feature some new art in here, but actually I need to rush this entry a bit

so I will probably edit it later and add some stuff.

Concerning media stuff, just watched "Quantum of Solace" really liked it, I know it's not the "typical" James Bond, but actually that doesn't really matter for me, I liked the whole mood and the action scenes of the movie

up on the toy front, I finally got the TF:A Activator Figures of Lockdown, Optimus Prime and Ratchet

so the collection is still growing!

Woah, October is almost over, this year was running fast, gosh...
Still need to prepare our rides for winter, winter tyres, check-up, anti freeze, winter diesel, etc. all that stuff. The weather makes me officially insane now, yesterday 21Â°C/70Â°F, today, 5Â°C/41Â°F... I actually don't know WHAT TO WEAR! One you sweat the next day you freeze up, DAUGH!

Other than that Tutorials are still in work, as I still want to do all I had up in my poll, the mask, gradient, shiny stuff and the Vector inking ones are up yet

Next ones are going to be how-to-draw ones and one with the Channel Marking Method since I've been asked a lot about that lately.

Concerning media stuff, I just watched Hellboy II and really ENJOYED it! Probably going watching it at least a 2nd time, besides that I finally got all two DVD editions of the Hellboy Animated movies as well, woooohooo!

and I am getting back in reading comics, even though my freetime is still limited *sigh*
Heehee, and my TF:A toy collection is still growing

Health wise, it seems that I don't need the surgery as soon as I thought, due to the fact that my ankle is only hold by muscles now, it works "rather" well, still the fact that I might be not able to walk/jump whatever when I am past 30 years still shocks me

guess I need to prepare for two more drills in my bones

So what's up people.. decided to update this thing once more, one every month sounds good

So it seems summer is over here, we already got the first snow on the west-side of the alps and the temperature is down on 10Â°C for the whole day... wohoo, me = not so happy face. I hate the cold, I love the hot hot summer!

Anyway, the real cold season starts as soon as I have to put the winter tyres on, which is.. ARGH! I hate them, and I bet Silver does so too, they are loud, ugly and the feeling in driving is absolutely shi... anyway, I've been tossed onto the roof just because of the damn snow on the streets so I better be careful.
Concerning the Poll of the Tutorials I had up, I think I am going to make tutorials of all the points

I have two in work and one just uploaded, if you people still enjoy these..

no idea if they are really helpful.
So finally WALL-E comes to the cinemas over here, and I am already really curious

Woah... just returned from a trip, so that was the reason for being rather silent the last days, was in Budapest/Hungary together with *suzidragonlady for a few days, weather was extreme, 36Â°C the first day, 11Â°C the following day..

But that wasn't all, I am going to be away next weekend as well, driving together with Silver (...of course) ~Abisan and *suzidragonlady to Munich/Germany, enjoying a few days in the city, people already asked me why I don't completely move to Germany, cause it ended up being my second home lately XD.. nya, I can't really leave the place I am at in the moment, too many friends and people I love around

.. so generally that means I will be slow in responding to messages, etc.

Also, thanks a lot to these who gave me so much lovely support and inspiration lately, you rock guys!

I might end up in Hospital in September, still not sure what's going to happen, but I am yet not really happy about it... and it's evil to not know any details, all I know is that it's going to be painful... again...

Oy.. so what to say, this needed a little update anyhow so... concerning the title, "Chaos Pool" somehow describes my life in the moment, also a reason why I am kinda behind with everything, online and in real life, so I do hope people bear with me, being lame in answering stuff and finishing projects. And I am shortly before ending up in hospital again, leg/foot issues... just don't ask.

But I finally saw KungFu Panda and Hancock, both were better than I imagined them to be, Hancock had a strange ending, but actually some of the scenes were just priceless

Really really liked KungFu Panda, the 2D intro and the ending.. AWESOME! I said to the people who went to see it with me, I want to watch the whole movie in that style please

also got the Art-of book, and it contains a lot of this style, now I have a new source of inspiration!

People asked if I am going to be at the EF con in August and if I have an ArtTable there... uh, as hard it is to say for me, the answer is a "no", I don't have any free day off work left to go there. I know, I could probably be there without getting a day off work, but not sure if that stress is "the thing" for me. What I can say for sure that I will be at the VAS-2009, defnitely!

This time actually trying to really do live-sketching there XD. Well that's all future plans, always depends on the current work-load still... well fulltime job and fulltime life, ya know that...

Concerning Transformers Animated, Season 2 Finale.. was GREAT! The only thing... CONTINUE IT PLEASE? I hate cliffhangers, not that the TF:A ending had an extreme one going on, but actually I do hope season 3 is coming, as far as I know it isn't even confirmed yet

GASP... we have a heat over here, it's insane, just to have that mentioned 33Â°C during the last days, but well, not going to bother, CAUSE I LOVE HOT WEATHER better be sweating than freezing I say

To be on topic I will be in Hamburg over this weekend and probably be off the internet for around 3 days or more, going to enjoy the german city another time

Hello guyz!

At first... is it bad luck week or what?

So Los Angeles was a BLAST! I had a lot of stress as well as fun, wanted to meetup with a few people to have a nice sketch clash

but after my phone died on the 2nd day and I had no way to get online... I was kinda lost, so anyhow. I saw the UniversalStudios burning live... which looked like an INFERNO! Arrr... what a pity, all that stuff that got destroyed, at least I could see the street set were they did parts of the Transformers movie as well as a lot of other sets (the one from War of the Worlds was so damn real it really gave me the creeps...)
But to be on topic again, bad luck week because of the fact that now that I am back in good old Europe I ended up twice in Hospital .. URGH! Probably a third time too, depends on how things are turning out. That not being the only thing, when driving home, my beloved car got hit by a huge stone of a DAMN SUV driving in front of me.. like a 200 meters in front of me and that thing still hit me! So Silver has a nice crack in his windshield now...

ARGH! They tried to fix it with that "spot repair" thing so that I don't need to get a new whole windshield, it worked, but only so far that it's stoping the crack from getting any bigger.. but it's still there.. *sigh* Do you think I can enter a Design competition with a crack in the windshield? NADA! -__-
So I am damaged as well as Silver, that's such an coincidence its kinda scary

Transformers Animated is almost ending up stressful for me

So it's going to be a new episode to watch almost every day now (because of the UK.. wohoo) The only thing that's kinda bad.. it's going to be OVER faster... ugh... anybody knows if the third season is yet in the works, or if there is one coming at all? Due to my stupid DVD recorder I missed the last episode in german... heh, but as far as I know the german TV station they're going to run all the episodes again, and again and again and again... yeah that's TV over here XD
Concerning the HAMMERTIME t-shirts I am going to get some of them printed next week... maybe, to see how they look like on the real "stuff" already have a draft how they're going to look like ( [link] )

Collaborations and Commissions:
concerning that I am still thinking about, Commissions aren't going to be done anytime soon (except some TF:A stuff maybe... so if you want something like that, just send me a note) Coloring Commissions are something I can probably take, if the people don't mind a longer wait, Cell-shadings shouldn't be no problem though

concerning the prices, it really varies, concerning the detail etc. Won't do any backgrounds at all.. I have enough of that to do at work, so I really don't need to do it in my freetime as well

Collaborations and Trades is something I would really like to do again. Specially concerning TF:A and TFs at all. (for the anthro people outa there, I did so many trades and collaborations of Anthro stuff the last years, I need to do something else for a while, but don't be afraid... stuff is on the way

)
Well.. concerning Trades and Collabs, my part is going to be digital, no matter what, and I would like to look out for people who are really "into it" per se, to get the same quality or at least try to get the same quality done as if it would be art for themselves.. you know what I mean

I did enough trades and collabs already were I never really recieved my part at all

In the moment I am not taking any Trades, I need to finish some other stuff before, could think about Collabs though...

1. Some of my close friends call my "Cyborg" sometimes (if the situation fits) due to the fact that I have two titanium drills and an artificial ligament in my knee, which is the only intact thing in there anyhow, I can make crazy noises with it

but actually, just as Bruce Banner would say, it's my good knee now

2. I like to tinker around with cars, no matter what cars, no matter who they belong too. I wanted to become car mechanic since I was 4 years old

I fail at doing most of the engine stuffs, but I am willing to learn.. all I need is time to do so. BLACK BRAKE DUST FINGERS ARE SEXY

3. TRANSFAN.. kinda meets it

4. I learned climbing (on a rock wall in the nature not in a hall.. these things are just too "easy" as our teacher told us back than.. GOD do I enjoyed that, I need to do it again, already managed it to climb up 30 meters.. wohoo!) as well as TaeKwonDo, basic PoilceTraining, being a scout (yeah.. for years) and more of that stuff to have a base for getting into the army, we have a school here were you can continue your eduction after the SLE (shool leaving exam, aka "Matura" or "Abi") like a study, including getting a rank in the Federal Armed Forces. Yeah, I wanted to do that, but my health decided against that, so I studied "Media Informatics" Instead.. not for long though.

5. I am a Workaholic, I just can't relax, or at least I have a hard time to try so. Whenever I am somewhere, I always need to find something to occupy myself, so I tend to always have paper and pencils with me.. drawing is a good way to distract yourself

6. I love to jump and dance around, just for no reasons, why just sitting somewhere and don't move yourself? Not my point, why walking if you can run?

Well I am freaky at that point, people say I can't sit still for a moment, well why should I? Life isn't holding still as well

7. doing arts, specially digital is a huge part of my life, I do it as hobby and in my job, and yeah, I do hope I can learn a lot more in the future and spread my horizon in various levels concerning that, a lot. I always try to be a very varied artist, trying to get ahold of various styles, techniques and I am really eager to learn something new everyday with every new art I create. Still it's more trying than doing, and I fail at lots of things, but well, isn't that what makes you "learn" anyhow?

Woah... makes me wonder if I ever manage it to start a journal without that word...
So what to tell, April has been a busy month and yeah.. the upcoming ones aren't going to be less busy. Will be in Italy at the end of May, than at the end June I will be in Hamburg Germany. In July I will be in Munich Germany (probably) this time per car, cause I've hand ENOUGH of PLANES yet, I was already two times in a plane this year yet and it's not going to end any soon. Anyways, I do hope these trips are going to end up with some funny expiriences as well and not too much stress in general.

Besides that Transfromers Animated is going to be on german TV today.. in german of course woooot... DVD recorder is yet set up, because... as always, I won't be at home when it's on TV... I wonder if I ever manage it to be JUST at home for a while, I miss that... really... if I wouldn't have my laptop I wouldn't be able to do anything, digital art-wise.

EDIT: Add-on, since it's "over" now I can add a little review/report...
So generally it was half way a shock XD, that they translated the intro/theme, was more than UGH okay, please, so yes it's short and yeah.. let's go on.
After that... Here comes Dr. Optimus Cox Hrsey... I were right when I thought about the voice actor in detail, yeap, the german voice of Optimus Prime = german voice of Dr. Cox from the Scrubs.. XD *LOL* so I had another 5 minutes of laughter...
Anyways, let's continue... so there was Ratchet, which I think was more than okay, kinda liked him a lot in the german version , the same with Bulkhead (except the fact that they were kinda unable to say his name right )
The most terrible ones in my taste were Bumblebee and Starscream... I mean.. WHUT? Seriously no.. okay, include Ultra Magnus as well... that didn't really do justice at all. OY!
Megatron was fine, the same as with Ratchet, these two were these ones I can deal with easily Blitzwing.. nya.. nothing really that thrilling as well, clean German, without any... ya know... intended flaws. Overall, not that happy about the german version.. errr...

Booklets are still in the works, as mentioned already, puplication is going to have a bigger delay... badly, which I am sorry for. (including the "Laquer Sins -Artbook", the "How to draw Gryphons" and the "ArtAviana" book)

PS: I've had enough of people ranting about this and that... specially concerning the art I submit here... Personally I think I am not here to be "your" personal entertainer, if you don't like the theme of the arts I am uploading (or the art itself) nobody forces you to look at it. I have enough other problems to deal with.. so yeah, art is something I do cause I enjoy it, I don't want to end up in big Drama just because of this and that... ya know.

Concerning Commissions, I am generally still in "closed" status, but it depends on what the people want, so if you have something you would like to get done, send me a note, if I have a free spot of time I might give it a go....

Woah... just used half of the day to get the cars set up on Summer Tires again, means for me, summer started officially my hands were black up to the elbows and so was my face and that damn black brake dust from the disk-brakes is like LACQUER it stays on your skin forever. After 6-8 handwash courses the skin looks more acceptable now, but still it may be some hard work to get the heavy aluminium rims set up, wash the car parts and so on.. but I love it, people who know me know... if I am not sitting somewhere drawing I tinker around on my car, my two big hobbies!
Going on a short cruisin' trip with Silver later on cause the weather is just to fine to not show of these Alu rims..
So just because it fits, what marks the start of summer for you? (or better end of winter, since it's technically not even "real" spring over here)

Booklets are still in the works, as mentioned already, puplication is going to have a bigger delay... badly, which I am sorry for.

Wow.. now january and february have been some high-end busy months luckily, some free days and holidays are just in sight!
So just telling that I will be completely off the internets from 2nd march until the 16th march- EDIT: I am back . Also next week is going to be rather busy, so if you are wating for a note, comment, e-mail whatever to be answered, this is the reason for the delays, generally I tend to go only online, upload stuff and leave again

Oh my.. time for a new journal here, I should really keep this more updated XD. So what's going on...? I am really looking forward to summer already.. simply summer, just to get out of the house without wearing 3 layers of clothing and watermelons.. hmmm.. sweeeeet watermelons

Some facts about me:

1. I am absolutely insane about cars, I already was that way as a child, imagine... I played with the toy cars of our neighbours, just because I didn't have enough myself... after my parents found that out though... they bought me cars instead of Barbies XD
2. My Car means all to me (...crazy, isn't it?).. I leave that sentence the same as ~Keskie did because I am the same insane type
3. Drawing, specially digital is a big part of my life, I learned it really early, and I do it still as hobby and in my job, and I wouldn't be able to live without it.
4. I love cats, and burds...eh birds, that's also a big reason for my big gryphon fetish, which isn't really a secret XD
5. I like to watch animation movies, not only for the story or the art, I am really analyzing them! If I could I would transfer the pictures directly into my brain XD
6. I have a certain urge to buy computer accessories... whatever it is, mainly I am just walking around in the stores for hours, just trying to buy something but end up with nothing...
7. I collect all different modells of the Mercedes McLaren SLR type, I already have all "official" modells except two
8. I am heavily afraid and have a big disguts for roaches.
9. My fave color is green, though I don't really own lots in that color, a few clothes, and my mp3 player.. but that's it.

So just telling that I will be completely off the Internets from 19.th August until 29.th August being on a vacation
Probably will be able to go online here and there but not sure... so if you are waiting for an answer, this will be the main reason if I don't answer within a few days

and as I mentioned last time finally got to see Transformers... already 2 times XD, I know some really don't like it... but I count myself to the geeks who really love it XD

At first I decided to make a Kiriban again, let's say, the one who get the 111.111 page view with a screeny, will get a character drawn, digitally colored (without a background though.. because I am lame with these) and there will be only one kiriban winner if I get more I will choose one out of them randomly...

So that's it with the kiriban, concerning commissions, I still don't take any, sorry, there are old things yet to be finished, and I am behind with everything *sigh*
Besides that I am getting House Season 2 these days, finally... wasn't available here around before, and probably looking forward to watch TRANSFORMERS! Which has premiere on 1st. August here...

At first I really want to thank the people and also friends around who were really really helpful and inspiring lately! Also thanks to everybody else for the faves, +watches, comments and other kind actions, Thank you!
... and I managed it to get a CSS styled DA Journal!

Besides that I am still working on the AA Artbooklet, but still... not more than 10% done, it seems to become a really huge project, at least for me
