We are considering making a small change to how stats relating to comments are laid out on your deviant profile. As it is now, it shows deviation comments, deviant comments and news comments.
It also lacks seeing how many comments you received in total.

It also doesn't show comments made toward collections which kind of brings us to the next point. In addition to collection comments, over the years there will most likely be more things and areas upon which one can comment. This is going to have a couple repercussions if we keep the system as it is. So, as many of you have already seen, The Happening contest ended very unexpectedly and with little warning. I wish I could go into specifics, but let us say something uhh happened, no  pun intended, that caused us to have to pull the contest almost immediately. It was not something on our end which means we had no control and did what we could to try and keep it running but were left with no choice in the matter.

So, I owe the whole community for a huge apology about the account that received deviousness. Unfortunately I was pretty heavily medicated for some migraine issues and hardcore allergies, and was scrambling to put a mudkip related account up there for a few hours. Recently as some of you have probably noticed we made some changes, or more accurately, fixed the way the Mature Content filter works so that users under 18 are no longer allowed to view things flagged as mature content.

Why did this happen exactly? Well, :devrealitysquared: beat me to the punch and summed it up quite nicely a couple days ago in This Journal which hits it point by point.

Last month, myself, :devwaveswinger:, :devheidi: and :devanna: attended the mighty Comic Con in San Diego and arranged a devMeet and Scavenger hunt and provided a lengthy list of things to photgraph.

Today, :devy2jenn: officially joins the Community Development team! Jenn has been around the site since 2002 and has at one point pretty much been involved in just about every facet of it.
She now joins us working with not one, but two departments! She will be working dual class with both the Help Desk and the CEA teams along with :devhexentanz:, :devewm: and :devrealitysquared: and :devdamphyr: to take some much needed weight off both areas. During the recent visit to LA by the CEA team and :devmoonbeam13: it was pretty obvious we needed someone on both teams, and so we decided to do something about that.

Well, we're back. Unfortunately our hosting facility suffered a power loss and then its back up failed to kick in, hence the down time. We apologize for the delay and this was really one of those way out of left field unforeseeable incidents., and also entirely 100% not our fault this time :D
