i'm coming up on my 10 yr anniversary of being "the loraxxx"

10 years since i sat down in a basement, at my old computer and started trying to figure out how to make the kind of DiD pics i loved, using this new "3D thing " called POSER...

10 yrs of living by my pledge to provide good quality bondage art without gouging or ripping off other bondage fans like myself--something that happened all too often "back-in-the-day"...

a lot has changed since then--there's plenty of free and really reasonably priced bondage content available on the web, really, really great stuff--there are also many many great poser bondage artists, several of whom you can see here at DA...

plus, there are many really cool bondage oriented on-line communities, chat rooms, message boards, etc.--i've met some cool people, met some NOT SO cool people, and made a lot of friends...

anyway, i'm just sitting here, in a good mood for once, and feeling thankful to have been a part of all of it...

5. my first thought is usually something indistinct and biological--human is not my native language--just something my parents forced on me...

once again i've been tagged with the 8 random facts thingy--problem is i've been having a hard time covering 8 random facts i hadn't discussed in a previous blog post--really, some of you should read my older journals here--i swear, i put all my bidness out in the streets for your pleasure...

anyway...

1. i pretty much gave up on popular music back in 1984--about the time record companies realized that they didn't need talented singers and performers so much as they needed talented record producers...and the rest, as they say, is history...

2. i'm posting this journal over wifi at a local bar, drinking, red stripe, listening to oldies on the juke, and waiting for what i hope will be a delicious stack of chicken wings...

3. if i could have any job in the universe i'd be SUPERMAN--i think i've posted this before, but did you know i'd most want to be pre-crisis superman from the 30's-40's--the one who fought not only spies, sabatours, and evil capitalists--you know--rampaging ass-holes in the mold of DONALD TRUMPP and the BUSH family...

4. the wings are quite tasty, but nothing special...

5. i didn't have "sexual congress" with a woman until i was 25--i think i've posted this before ,as well...

i've had a few questions and request both 'here' and 'there,' so i thought i'd post this...

i have a tremendous interest in women's fantasies about bondage, so i'm always looking for people, generally ladies, to collaborate with in terms of ideas for my bondage pics...

i do a lot of images based on friends, and their bondage fantasies--if you want me to use you in pics, then you should send me pictures of how you want your 3D model to look--please be honest about whether the images actually are you, just look like you, or look the way you'd like to look--it makes a big difference to me creatively...

i will also need some idea as to how sexual you'd want the images to be--i won't top you OL, but i will use your digital self as a bondage model, and try to put her (i'm only interested in doing women) in situations that i think you'd enjoy, so the more honest and open you are about who you are as a person, your needs and your wants, the more i think you'll enjoy the work i do for you...

sorry gents, i'm really not interested in bringing your bondage fantasies to life, so please, please, please don't ask...

also i limit this 'service' to women over the age of 18...

in the past, i've had some ladies express interest, and then i never hear from them again--i'm sure this is an attempt to be respectful, but to be honest, i've got a brain like a sieve, so outta sight=outta mind...

i honestly intend no offense, i just have other stuff to do, what can i say, i'm distracted by shiny things...

my response to a journal post from --a very interesting and talented young lady...

art is very, very very, very important to me--not just visual art, but music, theatre, and lit as well--i don't make all of it, but i feel that we are all lessened as people if we don't have a creative outlet, and try to support my friends who are, and encourage our society to provide more opportunities along those lines...

Is it a hobby or a passion? Do you wake up every day with the urge to draw or do you draw when you're bored?

for me it's totally a passion--more specifically, it's a form of therapy--i mostly use my art to deal with my inner feelings of isolation and inadequacy and translate them as best i can into something beautiful, and communal, and inspiring to others who may find themselves feeling like outsiders, as i have for most of my life--so i guess it's equal parts, therapy and "ministry"...

Do you want to improve? Do you want to stay right where you are? Do you like your art? Do you want to change how it looks? i.e. change from a cartoonist to realism?

i always want to improve--but i'm not one of those that feels, "the more realistic your work, the better it is..."--which is very unusual, because i work in 3D, and the general move within the community is towards more and more realism, and i'm primarily a figure artist, which is inherently about capturing the form and dynamism of the human body, generally in as realistic a manner as possible...

mostly i'd like to improve my work compositionally, and like you i'd love to spend my time in character design--i'd also like to do more lone figure study work, but as my time for art is limited, i generally try to push myself towards more finished pieces with backgrounds, and additional characters, and interaction...

the following is exerpted from a post i made to a friends blog--so if it seems familiar, it probably is--i added some things, but it's pretty much the same...

mostly, it's just me riffing on the state of affairs with the sexes these days--please, if you are a T-girl, or a cross-dresser, I DON'T HATE YOU!--i just don't understand you, or at least, i don't understand that part of you--but if you're a good person, i respect you...

i agree with you about the gender wars thing--i especially agree with you about the whole "dudes with boobs" thing too, a prime example being WONDER WOMAN--who started being the paragon of 'feminine strength and beauty,' as well as the prototypical comic book DiD (often bound, but never conquered!!), and is now essentially, CONAN WITH CLEAVAGE--hell the biggest thing going on with her currently is that she snapped a villain's neck like he was chicken...

justification aside (she was totally justified, btw) it saddens me that she's gained so much strength, but at the same time lost so much of her vulnerability--that's what was best about the character in her golden age years--she was strong, but vulnerable, wise but naive, feirce and gentle, all at the same time--now-a-days--not so much...

to me. at least, she comes off as kind of buff and intimidating and un-approachable--but i've totally got the image of LYNDA CARTER stuck in my head when it comes to her--who was tall and strong, but grace ful, and had such a gentle way of speaking when she was the character...

this sorta of physicality carries over into my feelings about t-girls, in that i don't feel you should have to look like a woman to explore or express your feminine side, any more than i think a woman needs to look like, or act like a man in order to be tough--maybe that's what works for some people, but i don't understand it--for me to physically and emotionally to take on the guise of a woman as part of my life would be to deny my masculine side--when i think what we need as indivdiuals and as a society is to embrace both at the same time as part of our whole person--the male and female in us need to be intergrated, not seperated...

and while i feel we may, as individuals need to cluster in gender groups from time to time, i don't see the need for us to be at odds with each other--so maybe we need to spend more time together, as much as we can without gender bias' or hostility--i know i suffer a lot in my relationships with women because of 'some other jerk that did her wrong.' and i know that as a result, i'm frequently defensive around women when i don't need to be...

at the end of the day, i just wish we all could be more comfortable in our own skin, whatever that skin may look like--and that when we wanted to express different aspects of ourselves we didn't have to make make so many radical changes in our outer appearance--i wish that people could just be themselves, and that our society made room for them to be that way...

since asked me, and i'm a total attention whore, here are 20 facts no one was interested in knowing about me--in no particular order....

1) i am an only child, and poorly, poorly socialized....;

2) i'm a negro;

3) i've been dealing with serious bouts of depression since i was 5 yrs. old;

4) many of the women in my life, even until this day have had serious, serious control isues--which, combined with the crushingly low self-esteem i've had most of my life, i think is at the root of my desire to make pictures of women in bondage....;

5) i'm currently 6' tall and way 350lbs--i haven't been smaller than 5'7" since i was 11 yrs old;

6) more than anything else, i like to help people and make them happy; if i could have had any possible career, i would have been a super-hero; as it is i've spent 10-11 yrs working in some human-services related field, or another....

7) even though i like helping people, i don't like being around large numbers of them--i was very unpopular in my youth--frequently teased, and physically abused by my peers, due to my size, poor socialization, depression, and lack of hygine--i instinctually expect to be turned on at any minute....

8) now-a-days i am truly beloved by my family and close circle of friends--something i am poorly prepared to deal with emotioanlly, but still enjoy immensely, and thank any higher power willing to listen for, on a daily basis....

9)i have a pretty extensive vocabulary and have never scored less than 90% on one of those 'build your own word power' quizzes they run in reader's digest...

10) i didn't bring a woman to orgasm until i was 25--a woman didn't bring me to orgasm until i was 30....

11) i have an encyclopedic knowledge of TV theme songs from the 60's 70's and early 80's--i can sing the themes to 95% of the programs i watched from the ages of 5-25 yrs. old;

12) i'm not really that much into porn--the plots are boring, and why would i want to watch other people fucking?

13) i love cartoons, comic books, sci-fi and other nerdy things....

i have a pretty singular taste in music--i listen to a little bit of everything--but mostly i listen to TV and movie music, soundtracks, incidental music, and covers based on said-same....

yesterday, for instance, i put the INCREDIBLES soundtrack on loop, and listened to it all day....

since wednesday is NEW COMIC BOK DAY (the day when new comix arrive at the shop) i usuallly wind up listening to my extensive collection of heroic/cartoon themes songs while i read--this includes lots of noises from the japanese metal band ANIMETAL, who's ra'ison d'etre is to cover the themes to japanese anime/action programs in speedmetal style....

most disturbing is my ability to sing the themesong to 95% of the programs i watched from the ages of 5 to 18--the people i game with call it my 'real life stupor-power'

but i also love the obscure stuff that no one seems to want to play on the radio anymore or that people think is weird--i dig bands like SLOPPY SECONDS, THE VANDALS, and BRAVE COMBO--great bands that nobody's heard of--except the vandals who have become really popular since TONY HAWK 2....

i read this on bw-inc's DA account--and i'm stealing it and posting it here:

I find that just because I'm an artist, people expect me to draw for them. It's really unfair... Even some of my friends expect it. It's a lot of pressure. Especially from a friend. Because I know they feel they have some sort or priority over me. Best in real life friends and family, yes, because I know them personally.. duh. So I would I will do things for them. And if I say no, they understand.

Even people I become friends after a couple of conversations through email already expect me to draw for them. Like sticking me in gaia guilds as an artist... even when I didn't agree to it. Or expecting me to "play around" with one of their sketches.. or just mentioning maybe drawing something, and they think "omg, she's gonna draw me something, yay!" when I didn't exactly say I would do it, but a MAYBE. Since when did MAYBE become a definite yes?

I'm not targeting anyone in particular. So please no "oh.. are you mad at me?" or "argh.. I feel like I'm one of those people.. I won't bother you.." comments. It'll make me feel even worse.

I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad or anything. I just need people to back off. This is a huge reason I don't go on messengers. There a lot of people who want to become my friends. Which I'm very open to, but the second someone asks me to draw something-- especially after a couple of conversations, it turns me off. You wouldn't believe how people pull this on me. "oh yay, were friends now, I hope she draws me something".

If I do it once, they will ask again, but bigger.

I'm sure people have experience that before. Not with drawing, but maybe with something else. Haven't you done someone a favor before, because you think "oh, it's so small, why not". Then they ask you for another favor later? But it's bigger?

My older brother told me right before I moved never to do favors for people you don't know, because they will keep asking for bigger favors. Then when you finally say no, they get angry with you and make you the bad guy. It's true. People use each other. I'm sick of people using me. Even some of my friends who I've helped, are starting to show their colors. Now they EXPECT it from me. And if they don't see it coming, they harass and remind me every bloody chance they get. Even after I tell them I'm busy. Busy busy busy busy BUSY. Hello??? I have school. I'm trying to get my degree. I have more important things to do at the moment.

There are people/"friends" out there who I've drawn for, and now I never see them anymore because I said no after I've done it for them once. You don't know who you friends are these days. I can only name a couple online that are true friends and who I've been friends with for a long time now.

I'm really tired of it. When I mean no requests and that I'm busy. I mean it.
