Seeing as summer's ended, it's time to look forward to the holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Seeing as I'm old I'm not trick-or-treating, but I'll be damned if I don't dress up. As what, I dunno yet. Thanksgiving's a very peaceful, fattening holiday. And Christmas.

Oh, Christmas.

Christmas is a lovely holiday with family, friends, and...wait for it...the giving of gifts. I'm the kind of person who feels guilty if she gets too much. There's only two things I want, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and NiGHTS.

If you live under a rock-- scratch that-- if you live under a rock at the North Pole, you may be asking, "What's Super Smash Bros. Brawl?" First of all, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? The fighting game that brings together all of Nintendo's mascots is looking magnificient-- easily some of the best graphics on the Wii, and I've only seen screenshots. One thing that I'm concerned with: Zelda and Sheik. Sheik was not present at Twilight Princess, while Link and Zelda are sporting said Twilight Princess attire. What made Zelda so good in Melee was her ability to strategically switch to her quicker alter-ego-- Sheik was much faster than Zelda, but Zelda packed more of a punch. Using the two-in-one package made players unpredictable. But if Sheik isn't at Brawl... :'(

I wasn't fortunate enough to play the first NiGHTS. When I played Sonic Adventure, I got curious about that androgynous jester that appeared at Casinopolis. I was immediately interested in the unorthodox gameplay, but I couldn't get a Saturn. Now that it's for Wii, I can't wait.

It was so hot today, and my school has barely any air conditioning. *dies*

So...the two classes are divided into two groups depending on their algebra grade. We took 9th grade algebra in 8th, and anyone who got at least a high C will take 10th grade algebra and geometry in 9th grade. The other group will retake 9th grade algebra. Since I got a B in algebra I'm in the upper group, so by the time I graduate, seeing as it's a year ahead, I'll have some college credit. I think.

There's some new stuff. I finally get a locker, and I'm taking Italian. My lunch time is now 11:18 to 11:48 instead of 1:08 to 1:48. IMO, it's an improvement. I'm still in the Soprano 2 section, which means I'm in the second highest-pitched voice groups. Violin's gonna be harder, of course, but I enjoy violin, so no biggy. I'm taking tennis too. I might try out for the Concert Choir, but honestly I don't care about singing; just for the experience.

There's a few new kids; I met one guy named Stephen, he seemed nice.

Very awesome; very awesome. I, of course, went right for the Yu-gi-oh manga. I liked it, I liked it lots, but there are some things I MUST poke fun at.

First of all, Yuugi is never fully awake. Seriously. His eyes are never fully open and alert like in the anime. I keep expecting him to yawn every five seconds. And now he's perverted. I LOOVE that little quirk; he's not such a perfect cherub now, eh?

Secondly, apparently Yami is demented now. The way he's drawn makes him look like a psychopath in early chapters-- his eyes are sunken in and scary, his hair looks menancing (more than usual ), and he's got a creepy smile. Eventually he looks less and less demented and instead of killing people make them delusional or have just one night filled with torture, sooooo I guess he gets saner as time goes on. But seriously, at first I was like, 'What is he, Yami Marik?'

Finally, so far Kaiba scares me. He smiled. *is scared*

Also, I do not approve of Katsuya's appearance (or Joey's for you dub watchers). He looks much better with a drape of yellow hair.

It started around 7:30. I'm not gonna say who did it- it wasn't me, I'll tell you that much- they thought they felt/saw a flea, so they gave some flea medicine called 'Hartz' to our two dogs. They also figured, May as well give it to the kitties too, so they gave five out of our six cats a drop of the medicine.

Big mistake.

The medicine was for dogs specifically, I realized, so I looked it up over the computer. Turns out, it was wrong for our cats and could cause some serious neurological complications.

Worst case scenario: death.

It was frantic. We were washing them four, five times with Dawn dish soap. And for a while, like twenty minutes, after we cleaned one of the cats once, she scampered off and we couldn't find her.

But we did find her, and washed her more. Thank goodness it was only a drop on each! The poison control we called said that if anything was going to happen, it would be in the first four hours, and there were no symptoms.

They're fine now, but we're still keeping a really close eye on them. But I think they're gonna be okay. Really dodged the bullet on that one...

Well, that's not totally true. I beat Pokemon XD umpteenth times, and Wind Waker I beat and working on the pajama file. But that's like, because the length of them. XD was short-ish, and in Zelda standards, Wind Waker's one of the shorter (unless you count side quests, cuz in side quests, it's looooong). But the other awesome RPG's I'm lucky enough to own, like Skies of Arcadia and LoZ: Twilight Princess, are in one of their final dungeons when I lose my focus.

Also: side quests. They keep me from finishing too. It's like, I have this urge to own EVERYTHING before I reach the final boss. (If you've ever played Skies of Arcadia, you'll know with all those Discoveries around, there are side quests out the WAZOO.) And then it's like, "Screw the final boss, let's go to the other save file and start over! I'll finish later!" AND THEN I DON'T. (by the way, that emoticon is full of WIN, yo.)

Someone smack me, because even though I don't look for spoilers, I KNOW SoA and TP are gonna have these mind-blowing endings-- ones like Super Paper Mario and Wind Waker-- and it'll be so LATE when I see 'em. UGH.

Also, I never beat Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door. I'm PATHETIC, yo! DDDD:

On a different note, OH GOOOOOD I CAN'T WAIT FOR SUPER SMASH BROS. BRAWL. Have you seen the GRAPHICS? The FIGHTERS? YOU CAN BE THE POKEMON TRAINER! AND CONTROL IVYSAUR, SQIRTLE, AND-- BEST OF ALL-- CHARIZARD! There's even ANIMAL CROSSING CAMEOS! K.K. PLAYS FOR YOU AT 8:00 ON A SATURDAY! Dream 1
Beforehand: Axel from Kingdom Hearts makes a cameo. Ms. Theresea was my CCD teacher.

All I think is rush. Faster, go faster. The world zooms by. Hey, I'm too young to drive! But that's irrelevant. The most important thing is to go. Go faster. Get there. Make it.

I'm there. She's there. She'd taught me about the Lord, about my religon. I'm panting, glad I made it, glad I was fast. I hold my arms out. Both are mutilated badly on their undersides. On the left arm there are illegible, random scratches, but on the right, carved into my arm, fresh but not bleeding, the word "DAMNATION."

Hesitantly, she reaches out for it. It stings slightly, but after that the pain subsides. I glance up. An odd mix of fear, sadness, and anger wells in my chest.

Axel's staring at me, a smirk doting his lips, fiery red hair framing his face and jade eyes twinkling over the teardrop tatoos. And suddenly I run, back into the car; I need to get away from them. I need to rush again, I need to go.

Afterthoughts: When I woke up I didn't really feel all that different. I thought it was odd how I got worked up over Axel and Ms. Theresea; I love Axel as much as a girl can love pixels and Ms. Theresea was a fine teacher. What I'm puzzled most about was "DAMNATION" cut into my right arm. And why couldn't I read anything on my left...?

Dream 2
Beforehand: Nothing you need to know.

Quiet. It's so quiet, here in my room. As if the air itself was being held taut. In front of me, suddenly, a grotesque, floating fish head swam in the air.

Repulse turned to fear as the fish approached me. Then it dawned on me-- it was trying to kiss me!! Pivoting on my heels, I ran.

It wasn't my house anymore. The hall walls turned from white wood to maple, and I glance around. My grandfather's summer shorehouse.

Three people by a table catch my eye. Two of them are men; I can tell, but their faces are cloaked with smoke. The third, though; I know that face well: my mother. Playing poker with these two enigmas in a glittering green shirt.

Afterthoughts: I couldn't read anything from this dream. It was so odd.

Dream 3
Beforehand: Nothing you need to know.

The moon was absolutely huge, taking up most of the sky. Stars glittered in abundance. I had never seen the lunar sky so gorgeous. As a star falls, I pray for flight (at ten, everyone wants to fly!). The star halts abruptly, and a brilliant flash of light leaves me unconscious.

Awakening, I find myself cradled in a mess of light pink, red, and white cushions. Sitting up, I gape at my back-- two small, brown wings have appeared.

Yelping with excitement, I rush out of the house. A friend of mine sends an inquisitive glance my way.

"You have to see this!!" I exclaim, climbing my fence.

I settle myself, then jump, only to wake up.

Afterthoughts I've remembered this dream for almost four years, yet it's so fresh in my memories. How odd...

OH KINGDOM HEARTS HOW YOU ELUDE ME.

PS3 is more than $600 dollars once you get all the little trimmings...and oh how I want it just to play Kingdom Hearts. But Nintendo's more my forte...I'm already looking forward to NiGHTS...but KINGDOM HEARTS! I've been faving Kingdom Hearts shounen-ai, and I've only seen my friend play in it for about 20 minutes! Oh, woe is me...

(Soriku and Akuroku are awesomely yummy by the way :3)

What do you think...? Maybe I wait 'til the price drops...?

On a happier note, a friend of mine has Kingdom Hearts Manga volume 3, and I bugged him enough to let me borrow. :3 I don't live close to much manga that I want...

On an even happier note, a classmate of mine, who I believed, by my standards, was a homophobe, has recently fallen in love with the manga Loveless after my recommendation of it. :3 Loveless has the main canon pairing being Loli-shota shounen-ai. It's WONDERFUL. :3 And now I think I've made her love both manga and shonen-ai (it was the first manga she read). I felt so accomplished that day.

On the happiest note of all, I GOT POKEMON DIAMOND!!! I'm such a nerd. But I am so HAPPY about that. It's a great game.

GO ME.

I just feel like babbling. 'Cause, you know. When you just feel like ramblin', you litter your journal with random rants.

Yeah, I usually don't like canon couples. They're so...predictable. Like it'll actually happen. Sheesh; where's the excitement? But WOW. A canon couple I like. It's unheard of, for me. BUT! I have reasons.

Many of you don't know this 'Fahiru' I speak of. It is the hybrid of the names 'Fakir' and 'Ahiru' from an anime called...wait for it...Princess Tutu. There go the male readers. And most of the female ones.

BUT!!

The story starts out a bit cute, I'll give you that. But it darkens considerably, and I think it's waaaaay better than animes like Inuyasha and Bleach. Don't hate. Anyways...

There are a few reasons I like this (gasp) canon couple. First of all. HE TOWERS OVER HER. He is 5' 5", and she's only 4' 9". An eight inch difference. It's amusing to think how they'd have to kiss. certainly has thought of some interesting ones. Like him sitting and pulling her braid so she reaches him.

Second. The ages. He is 17. She is 13. OH THE AMUSEMENT. Seventeen is...an active year. Thirteen...is just beginning puberty. And little Ahiru is dense to boot. GIGGLE.

And then there is cold hard facts. Ahiru is a DUCK. That's right: a quacking, swimming, feathery duck. It takes magic for her to be human. I mean, that basically makes this pairing BEASTIAL. GO IT. CAPS LOCK, CAPS LOCK.

The way it builds up was interesting, to say the very least (amusing and genius is better ). I mean, Fakir was the supreme dick of the universe. SERIOUSLY. But by episode 8, you realize *SPOILER* he rescues little woodland creatures from lockers. And that little woodland creature happened to be duck-form Ahiru. A mere two episodes later, Mr. Poker Face is crying. And he hugs duck form Ahiru. AND EPISODE 12 IS WIN. PURE AND SIMPLE. *END SPOILER*

What we've concluded is that I like couples that are really complicated. Because they're so interesting. And it just makes fluffy scens that much fluffier.

So. WATCH THIS AMAZIN' ANIME. I BEG OF YOU.
