Especially this time of year, I think we need to be aware of everything around us. XD I don't want to get overly religeous, but you don't have to believe in God to appreciate this.

This morning my brother was in a very, very bad car accident. He was driving a Chevy Tahoe, going about 45, and hit a deep water puddle. He hydroplaned, nicked a tree, and then ended up flipping FOUR times sideways. He wasn't wearing his seat belt, and ended up falling out of the driver's side window on the first or second flip.

Amazingly he has no broken bones, no internal trauma, no head trauma. He has a gash on his left shin that needed staples, and some road-rash and minor scrapes on his arms and legs. THAT'S IT. Had he gone through the windsheild, he would've had serious head trauma if not dead. Had he stayed in the truck, he would've died (the roof is almost completely caved in). Had he fallen out of the door a second too soon or too late, the truck would've crushed him.

So, just taking a moment to stop and take stock, I wonder if my three friends who passed away last year in a bad accident weren't looking out for him. Karma, angels, really good luck . . . either way you wanna slice it. Count your blessings and hold them dear. After tonight, I'm a believer in miracles.

OMG such a good game. XD I went out and got the midnight preorder of it. I'm about three quarters of the way through, I estimate, and lovin' every minute of it.

Unfortunately like an ADHD patient walking into a room full of shiney bits, the game has distracted me from my artwork for the time being. But never fear, I shall return in due time.

Though I would've liked to have gotten the Nintendo Wii and Zelda : Twilight Princess, I've decided to hold out for now (lack of funds, plus I'm still playing FFXII anyhow.) And I'm waiting to get a PS3 until I see some game that I want to get off of it, which I haven't seen yet. XP

Physically at least. This past month I've been in and out of the hospital emergency room, as well as an orthapedic specialist and a battery of physical therapy sessions.

Result - I've been diagnosed with arthritic degeneration and the beginnings of osteoporosis. XD 23, and I've been hit with diseases that only elderly people are supposed to get. *sigh*

It's getting to the point that holding a pencil or winding cameras at work make my thumb joint ACHE. So far it's not TOO too bad, but I'm really hoping that it doesn't become unbearable within five or ten years . . . .

Anyway, off the sad and sombre note, I managed to UPDATE finally. Some stuff in the Scraps as well as the gallery, for which have been a long time in coming. I appologize, but hopefully these piccies make up for the wait just a little. If not, I'm sorry too. But at least these will get me off the PE Black List. And that's worth something, I think. ^_^

MWUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAH!

After 2 years, I am leaving the Wal-Mart Shoe Department. XD Lots of things have contributed to this decision, including but not limited to the fact that my Dept. Manager has become unbarably psychotic, the department itself has become boring and way too much of a hassle, and the fact that I'm just ready for something new.

So, on the 17th of this month I will officially become a Photo Lab Technician! W000t! I get to wear a white coat, and sometimes a blue plastic apron, and I get a 20 cent raise. GO ME! I also have to learn how to run a register, so that outta be interesting . . . Luckily they won't be able to pull me up front. If you work at Wal-Mart, you understand what curse THAT is . . . *shudder*

In other news, I've recently discovered that it wasn't my tablet that was malfunctioning, it was my USB port. Given the fact that it's some kind of complicated HP Pavilion thingy on the front, my brother just took me to Best Buy and we bought a 4 USB port hub that pugs into the back, and sits on my desk. It glows with a pretty blue light, just like my HP tower. ^^ As my bro put it, I "started out the day with a problem, and ended it with an upgrade!"

So, now I can actually work on my one $80 commission, then YES ~Jonboy2312 I WILL FINISH YOUR TRADE SO PLEASE STOP POKING MEEEE (LOL) and then hopefully I'll have enough time left to finish *frisket17's contest . . . .

Well, after over 2 weeks with no offers, I'll have to assume that no one's interested in commissioning me (or doesn't have the means). So oh well. No new tablet for the Lynnie. At least not any time soon. Especially since all of my finances are going to soon be moving toward my orthadonics.

I went to the dentist for the first time . . . ever. (Gasp, I know, I'm 23 and have never been, but it's because my parents were poor with no insurance so I couldn't go as a kid). Anyhow, I have some pretty screwed up teeth. Both because I don't take care of them like I should and because they were pretty screwed up to begin with. Anyhow, one of my top left teeth (now known as a wisdom tooth) is now defunct, so I went in today to have it seen and see what can be done. I actually only had x-rays taken and had a thorough cleaning today (but man did that hurt like a sonofab*tch) although the assistant lady said I was one tough gal because I neither complained nor asked for any kind of pain numbing (just because the thought of them sticking a needle in my gums is worse to me than the actual pain of the gum scraping, so I just sat and bared it). And apparently I'm a bleeder. XD She couldn't believe I hadn't taken blood-thinning medicine. I won't go into all the gross details, but suffice to say when I rinsed, it took a while for the stuff to come out clear again. LOL

Anyhow, I didn't visit with the actual dentist for too long, mainly because my gums were too swollen after the cleaning and the blood clotting was too heavy/bad for him to see what he needed to. BUT! The good news is that I now have 2 other appointments (one to get the defunct tooth removed, since it's a wisdom tooth and not needed anyhow, and the second to have some fillings done on my bottom teeth). And I also have the card of an orthadontist, so that I can look in to getting some braces and having nice teeth for once. ^_^ It's going to cost me an arm and a leg and a couple of ribs, because I don't have dental insurance either. *le sigh* But it's worth it. And worth more to me than a tablet (as much as I want one). So that'll be happening first.

Man . . . now my gums are really starting to get sore. XD Oh well. Nothing that won't kill me.

After several years of loyal service, my wittle blue Graphire tablet is starting to make that decent into the long, cold dark. He had a good run, and he will be missed. *moment of silence*

But this of course means that da Lynnie is now without a (decently) working tablet. And after some careful dilliberation, I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to need some help getting a new one. Now, in a perfect world, I could raise up the 3,000 dollars needed to get myself a Cinteq 21UX *sob* but I dun think that's going to happen. So instead, I'm setting a more realistic goal of the 500 9x12 Intuos 3.

If you would like to contribute to the Buy Lynnie a New Tablet Fund, it's fun and easy to do! XD LOL You can, of course, make random donations if you'd like. OR you could ask for a *drum roll* commission!

I'll draw pretty much anything, from G rating all the way up to X if that's your fancy. Personal characters or fanart of licensed ones.

So if you're interested in commissioning me to draw you something--either naughty or nice--then this is all you'll need to know as far as what I offer ;

It’s very hard to pigeon-hole the price of a commission without knowing the details, since everything varies so much depending on what the buyer wants, the complexity of the details required, etc. For example, I would charge more for a full-body picture than I would a 3/4s or a bust, just as I would charge more for a full color CG than I would a simple pencil sketch. What I’ve listed here are some very broad price-ranges so you can get a general idea of the cost. However, nothing’s written in stone, and all prices are subject to change depending on what you’re asking for. These are mainly guidelines to give you a general idea of the range. When you email/devnote me with the specifics of your proposal (and I do mean SPECIFICS, the more detailed you are the better), I'll reply with my price estimation. Please keep that in mind. ^_^

All of the following prices are assuming there’s only one character involved. Generally, it’s a rule of thumb to add about $10 per additional character to the base price of what you’re wanting.

Simple Pencil Sketch : $20-25 – A pencil sketch on 11x14 or 14x17 (depending on the amount of characters or the specifics of the image) sketchpad paper, with little to no shading and very simple to no background.

Example -

Detailed Pencil Sketch : $30-40 – A pencil sketch on 11x14 or 14x17 (depending on the amount of characters or the specifics of the image) sketchpad paper, with detailed shading and/or a background of significance.

Have you ever been so sick you thought you were dying?

I didn't know what that expression meant until two days ago. XD I dunno WHAT the heck it was that I had, but I was so weak I couldn't even get out of bed. My Fiance helping me get from my room to the bathroom across the hall nearly made me pass out. With stabbing pain in my back, gas pains in my stomach, no appetite and a fever from hell (complete with watering eyes and headache). . . . I was SURE that death came anon.

Luckily however I have recovered somewhat . . . I still have the pain in my back and my tummy, but I can sit up! *claps sarcastically*

Yeah. I haven't been sick in over a year. This crap always happens to me when I have important stuff to do. ;_;

Well I hope everyone's Christmas was acceptably fun. ^_^ Mine was great. Visited with all the family units, and got some good loot. The only bad spot was Brian. Well, not Brian particularly, but Brian's grief at Shawn not being here. *sigh* I felt really bad for him, but all I could do was just give him kisses and try to take his mind off of it. (For those of you who are unaware, Brian is my fiance and his younger brother Shawn [as well as two of our other friends] were killed in a car accident last April. This is our first Christmas without them ;_; ). Everyone tells me that it's the first holidays that are the worst, and that it'll be better next year. I only hope so, for his sake at least. I hate the thought of him being miserable on Christmas.

Anyhow, on a lighter note. When I logged on this morning I had a congradulatory message from DevART informing me that one of my deviations had recieved over a 1,000 views! That's probably a daily occurance for some of you, but it's a first for me, so I was happy. ^^ Then they used that opprotunity to try and sell me a DevPrints account. LOL Well, being as they offered it 10 dollars less than normal and that it never expires (that I can tell), and since I was thinking of it anyway . . . I said what the hay. I'm still trying to figure out just how exactly you go about making something a print and whatnot (it's kinda confusing, but I'm getting there). My one BIG question that doesn't seem to be adressed is that can I sell prints of artwork based on licensed characters? I.E. fanart of like Record of Lodoss War or Final Fantasy VIII? If anyone knows the answer to this, let me know.

Finally got to see the Chronicles of Narnia movie yesterday. Awesome film. XD If for nothing else than the White Witch and all the different mythological creatures in it, it was a great watch. I Beaver, Mr. Tumnus and the Centaurian General (dun know his name, it was only mentioned once and I didn't catch it XD )

Anyhow, while at the mall afterward, I got my hands on the new 2006 MLP calander. XD So now the ponies are eating my artistic inspiration. LOL I've already finished the one based off of my Fiance, "Brian Boru." I got one of my online persona, Lynnwood, in the works, as well as one of my two bestest friends "Ginsan," and "Jaderaven." And then my brother, who had been pokin' fun at me for drawing ponies, saw how they were coming out and asked me to draw him one for his online persona. LOL So I've also got "Grapekiller" in the works as well. They shouldn't take very long to finish, since I'm only doing very simple cel-style shading. Stay on the look out. ^^

I was supposed to go see The Chronicles of Narnia today with my fiance, but because of several different mishaps and screw-ups, that got totally trashed. And we have no days off this week coming up, so it's not like I'm going to get to see it any time soon either. NARG!

So . . . upset, I decided to do some therapy sketches, stuff just for me cause I feel like it. XD And when I do stuff for me, it usually ends up half-naked or smexy-fied. So far I've got Squall Leonheart and Rinoa Heartilly done. More to come, probably, so keep an eye out if you're interested.

I was supposed to finish that commission I'm working on today, but I ran into a snag and now I have to have something confirmed from the buyer before I can finish it. XD I hate it when that happens. I want to go ahead and get it done and out of the way so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Well, since I couldn't work on that, I went ahead and finished Madeline's long-time-in-the-waiting second Kitten piccy.



Didn't turn out half bad, if I do say so myself. ^_^ Next on the agenda (after the commission that won't ever end) is 's 2 trades. ^_^;

Not much new stuff to report. I find I've been doodling a lot lately, and not "finishing" nearly as much stuff. Which is almost exactly the opposite of the way I used to be. Used to, EVERYTHING that I drew was drawn to be "finished" and fully colored, etc. But especially for my Haven project, I've done a ton of sketches and stuff, that probably won't see the light of Photoshop. I wonder if that's a good thing . . .

Well the big news of the day is that Lynnie FINALLY figured out how to use Corel Painter. XD I feel so accomplished. Anyhow, I've got one little mess-around thing in scraps (digitally manipulated photo/screencap of Eric Bana *yum* ) and in the Gallery I have a fanart illustration of a FFVIII character (The Pig-Tailed Library Girl). In other news, OMG thank you so much to all of you who entered my MOB-TWC month! And congrats to and for winning the artistic and creative categories respectively. ^_^; I've got the sketch for Shannon's Emmelyne character done, and I'm going to be working on getting the ink and the colors done for that asap. Too late for the contest unfortunately (hurricanes = loss of power for a week = teh suckage) but I still want to get it done as a thank-you for participating in my contest. ^^ It's only fair. I'd also like to get a submission done for Bastet's Money character (I catgirls XD ), but I'm not sure if I'm gonna get that done in time either. *thumps head*

I got work, fiancé, writing fanfiction, writing novel, reading new Katie MacAllister book, art . . . . Blegh. I hate it when I have seven and eight things to do. I can never decide which one I SHOULD be doing. Lol

Woohoooooo!!!!! I won my first go around in MOB-TWC (the winner's circle option for Monthly Original Bishoujo). But what's MORE is I actually won the cointoss!! I finally get to submit a character for a monthly contest! *squeeeee* It took me quite some dilliberation on my part as to who I was going to submit, but I finally came to a decision. I wanted to do a character that was both visually pleasing as well as being an interesting character story and personality wise. Plus she had to fit the "bishoujo" tagline (which IS the whole point of this monthly).

I've got her prelim char sheet finished, and I've got the lineart for the splash image done. Just need to ink and color, and get all of my character notes organized.

In other news, just workin' on my MOB sub for Puddle, and my MAG sub for Naomi. I've got the MOB pencils complete, and with the MAG pic, I'm about 2/3s complete with the pencils. I'm saving the inking and the coloring for my next day off (Monday or Tuesday).

In the meantime I'm still cooking up other illustration ideas in my head. I'm hoping the CIA starts back up again soon, so I can sign up for that. I'm currently redoing all of the Tsiagonne characters' sketches with newer, more updated outfits. And after I finish that, I want to redo my "Men of Tsiagonne" illustration to include Saburo. And after that, perhaps redo or finish my "Women of Tsiagonne" counterpart. I've got some fanart ideas I want to try out for Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy IX (my two latest rpgs), I've got another illustration idea in mind for 's character Kitten. XD And then I wouldn't mind finishing the character illustrations for Mage Academy, or the sketches for PS.

Not to mention this other stuff beneath the journal entry.

Not much new stuff to report. Workin' on my MOB-TWC (Montly Original Bishoujo - The Winner's Circle) entry, still generatin' ideas.

In mentioning the montlies, they happen to be in a bit of a slump here lately. I myself am guilty of not submitting in quite some time. There were several factors for me. One being that I joined the PE and that soothed my fanart-wanting needs. Two was that I got discouraged after so many submissions and not many votes. But I've since accepted that it's not so much the votes as it is the giving of good art to great fellow artists.

So if you like drawing fanart and would like the chance to have YOUR characters featured and get loads of fanart for yourself, then head on over to MAG or MOB. In other news, I've seemed to have caught the summer cold from h-e-double hocky sticks. I'm taking Tylonol Cold for it, but it doesn't seem to be getting rid of the problem, only moving it to new locations. XD

First it was my throat, all dried out and sore as if I'd been snoring all night. Then that became swollen and sore so that it was hard to swallow. Then that turned into my whole neck being sore, the glands becoming swollen I guess. In conjunction with this symptom, whenever I'd blow my nose, I didn't get mucus, I got nothing but blood. (That had me worried, but my grandma assured me it was just my sinuses). Then that cleared up, and the sickness then moved into my lungs, attacked my nose with a vengeance, my throat is still sore and swollen and NOW the cold has infected my right eye as well. It's all red and watery and it seals shut over night. *sigh*

Not that any of you wanted to know all of that . . . LOL So whether or not I do any art work on my days off this week depend on whether or not I can still see. XD So till then.

Nothing much new to report. I did an entry for the Monthly Original Bishoujo for the first time in forever. Am working diligently on my Cutepet 5 illustration. As of press time I have the demons inked and flat colored and Fenn inked and flat colored. XD

Gyah. I'm adding more onto my list than I'm taking off. That can't be good, can it?

In other news, I finally got my scanner working again. XD Apparently it no longer likes usuing the USB port in the front of the computer, and will only operate using the one in the back. O_o Shortly after that, I had to fight with my tablet to get IT working, and then two days later my copy of Adobe Photoshop went berserk for most of the day. *sigh* I was about to take it as a sign to never work on art again. XD It was seriously as if someone was trying to ward me off of it. LOL

But alas, I finally got things operating again. I've been doing a lot of pictures lately but they . . . uh . . . have all been of the variety I can't show here. Heehee . . . And since Green M&Ms has been taken down due to Mars Inc and their tight wadedness, they'll just have to rusticate on my computer, unshown. *sigh*

I have a ton of art that's in my que, and MY STUPID SCANNER IS BROKEN! UGH!

Well it's not "broken" persay, but all of a sudden my computer is acting like it doesn't have the drivers for it. Saying it doesn't recognize the hardware and yadda yadda. When the ONLY thing I did was unplug it while I installed my new desk. I used to unplug this thing all the time when I had my old set up. I've unplugged it COMPLETELY twice now as I've moved. And I haven't ever had any problems. Now all of a sudden, this. Grrrrr . . . .

I'm seriously contemplating going out and buying a whole new one. XD I HAVE had this one for a number of years, and it makes funky noises that seem to say "OH MY GOD please stop using me this hurts OH MY GOD stop the torture" whenever it scans. LOL *shrug* We'll see what happens.

I went to see Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith at midnight Thursday morning XD (Lynn = Star Wars Goob). I was VERY impressed with the film and loved every minute of it. But that's not why my life is complete right now.

Two days ago I went ahead and bought the DVD version of Episodes 4, 5 and 6 because I had them in the remastered tape but not DVD. Well, Brian and I were watching Return of the Jedi and as it was nearing the end and doing all the party scenes Brian turns to me and says, "I'm really interested to see if the rumors are true." When I asked him what those were he said "I've been hearing that they've digitally remastered these and put Hayden Christensen in the "Ghost Scene" instead of Sebastian Shaw. I scoffed, saying that that would be cool but I doubt they'd do that.

. . . . Well at the end, there goes Obi-Wan (played by Alan Guiness) and little Yoda . . . and then BAM! Hayden Christensen appears next to them in Jedi garb instead of the (no offense) crusty old white guy that nobody knew. WE FLIPPED OUT! LOL Or I did rather. That was SOOOOO neat, in my opinion. It just tied them all completely together. Now I can't wait until Ep. III comes out on DVD so I can binge out and watch 'em all back to back. LOL

In other news . . . um . . . not too much to report I guess. I'm working on a vew odd-job commissions, CIA projects, planning a few doodles for the Green M&Ms board, designing characters for my WenHtrae story arc and also collaborating with Brandon's uncle on a comic that might possibly be picked up by Image. Heheh. That would be nice. ^_^

Other than that, all is calm again on the Lynnie Front. Maybe a little heart-sore, but none the worse for wear. And that is good. ^_~

Yesterday afternoon, 4/1/05, my fiance's little brother, and two of my other really close friends who were all three more like brothers to me than I can say were involved in a head on collision with a dump druck . . . the two passengers died instantly, my future brother-in-law who was driving held on for twenty minutes after the paramedics arrived and then died on the scene.

They were ages 20, 19 and 18.

Words cannot express how much they will be missed. If ANYONE learns ANYTHING from this harsh lesson, I hope that it is to drive carefully and drive safely and NEVER take anything for granted. I implore everyone of you to hold your loved ones close and keep that in mind always.

XD Unfortunately I don't have much choice in the matter. Working a Department Store at Christmas time = Deathwish. Well . . . my computer crapped out on me . . . AGAIN. XD This time it was the entire machine though. Can't really complain too much, it WAS like . . . five years old. But, to make a long story short, I am now typing to you from the seat of my brand new Hewlitt Packard Pavilion machine. ^^ I named her FLORA. XD It's not the top of the line but it's a decent machine. I like it's one hundred and one usb ports (lord knows I need 'em) and the 17" flatscreen is nice. Now I just have to recover all of my image and document files. UGH. *sigh* Well, guess I better go get crackin.

Oh, and saw Alexander. XD I wasn't too highly impressed. It ran entirely too long imo. But, to each his own.

Well the big news of the day is that my boyfriend of almost 2 years proposed to me last night, at a Halloween Party. Some might say that's kind've morbid, but for our group it's quite fitting. LOL

He was very romantic about the whole thing. After he picked me up from work, we stopped by the house and got a few things. He was dressed as a Medieval Knight and I was just wearing black with a spiderweb cape, nothing fancy. Well, under the guise of putting something in the trunk, Brian slips the ring in his boot (I'm completely unaware of what's going on when this happens, btw). When we arrive at Brandyn's house, where the party is being held and where all of our friends are located, Brian begins gathering things up and going in and out of the house though I don't really pay any attention or notice anything very amiss.

He had mentioned to me earlier that everyone was singing karyoke, so when he emmurged with several of our friends to drag me into the living room under the pretext of Brian singing a song to me, I thought nothing farther into it than him doing his usual hamming it up for a crowd of people. I was reluctant, but allowed them to drag me in. They fired up the karyoke machine and he begins belting out (very off key, but the love was there ^^) Julie Saunders' rendition of "I Need a Hero," from the Shrek 2 Soundtrack. I'm thinking to myself, well this is kind've fitting, I mean he IS dressed up like a Knight.

Well he does the whole song, and then comes over to me while everyone is talking, laughing or commenting. THen all of a sudden he bends down and reaches for his boot and says "Jamie, you always said I was your hero, I'd like to be that forever." Pulls out the box and opens it. "Will you marry me?"

I flipped out. I TOTALLY did not see it coming. LOL Well, needless to say I said yes. ^o^;;;; It's a very happy Lynnie that writes to you now.

It's about time I updated this thing, eh? Heheh. Well I survived the tropics' fury. The house got a bit battered, the town got VERY battered, but no one in my immediate viscinity got injured and that's really the important thing. We all lost a lot of property though. I know someone at work whose storage sheds had a tornado rip through and she lost just about everything. But, as she herself says, they're just things and they can be replaced, where as people cannot. ^^

This past month is showing me, more than anything, that I did the right thing with quitting PE and giving up the Sketchbook before it was too late for someone else to fix it. Regardless of what anyone else believes. I've drawn and completed ONE picture in over a month's time, and you've seen it (the Tashibo picture). Otherwise I've had no other time to draw at all. XD It's depressing but I really haven't got much choice in the matter. Oh well, all I can hope for is for things to calm down eventually and that I can get back into the swing of things.

Well, Hurricane Jeanne should be on top of my area by Sunday morning, which means no power for a few weeks and the same old song and dance. *sigh* So if I dissapear for a little while again, you all know why. This is three in a row now for my area, five for Florida as a whole. Frances, Ivan, now Jeanne (Bonnie and Charley didn't hit on the Treasure Coast). XD

Hopefully she'll stay a Category 2 and not upgrade to a 3 by the time she gets here (which is a very good possibility). Because this time around we don't have enough money or supplies to evacuate. I'm most worried about the fact that we haven't finished cleaning up or recovering from Frances, and Ivan has dumped s-loads of water on us these past few days and we're still so waterlogged. I'm worried that every roof that's been de-shingled and loosened with Frances is gonna come flying off, and the entire city of Vero is going to be underwater before it's all said and done with. Let's hope not tho. O.o

Worse than the actual Hurricane is the shopper madness that ensues just before, though. Humongous lines at the gas station, everybody piled in at Wal-Mart to get those last minute supplies. Ugh. Well, wish me luck. Hopefully my roof will stay on, and we won't lose power for more than a few days. XD

Well after almost 2 years I'm saying good-bye to the Private Exchange. Surviving 2 hurricanes (with a possible third on the way), getting kicked out of the house I was living, and being forced to put in an extra 20 hours at work wasn't excuse enough to to powers that be for a possible tardy Sketchbook Exchange, so I'm being banned/quitting. But hey, those were the rules from the outset, and I understand that. I'm just dealing with the consequences now, I guess.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I met a lot of really cool artists, all great talent, and grew a lot as an artist myself. But when something becomes more a stress headache and a chore than it is fun, it's not a hobby anymore it's a job. One that I'm not really getting paid for. And something I can't afford right now at this juncture.

At any rate, I hope there are no hard feelings, though that's probably wishful thinking. I've already noticed a sharp shift in attitude, but there's not much I can do about that I suppose. When it comes down to it, my livelihood and my survival have to come before an art exchange. It really is that simple.

I'm sad to leave, but at this point I don't have any other choice. So bye-bye to you all (too many to name, though not too many to love ^^ ). I'll still keep you all on my watched list, I love seeing all of your artwork so keep 'em comin!

Well things have settled a lot here at the household (for now at least) so that's good. I've started the Sketchbook Exchange and OMG I already have 4 pages filled. 4 DOWN 96 TO GO!!!! LOL! The characters I got are very well-developed and inspiring, and that was the very main important thing. I kind've had a small heart attack when Brianne sent me the emailing address. O.o Let's just say that my person lives in a very different country, and I'm not too familiar with mailing stuff. But it's ok because I checked the US Postal Service's online quotes and at worst it'll be something like 20-25 bucks to Air Parcel post in 4-10 days. Not too bad.

EDIT - OMG Collateral OWNS!!!!! Tom Cruise + Bad Guy = OH SO BAD ASS. Such a good movie, I reccommend!!

Beginning to feel a little strapped for time on my exchanges. XD I've got Round 20 that needs done, Design-An-Outfit, the Weekly rounds, a gift exchange with Chael and then I need to start thinking about when and how I'm gonna fit in the prize pics for my contest. XD

But I can get them done. ^^ Just might be a little frazzled by the end of it. Lol

EDIT - I tried to resist, but it was indeed futile. XD I've just signed up for the Sketchbook Exchange at PE. At first I was balked a little, by the having to possibly send it overseas (O.o) and then the fact that I'm working now and I don't have gads of freetime. But the concept is just so COOL!! So, to compensate, I went ahead and dropped out of the Deity and Formalwear exchanges. ;_; But I'm not gonna back myself into a corner over this. Gotta be realistic about my abilities here. I need to learn how to do more worthwhile sketching anyhow. So until this exchange ends (in January), I'll only be entering the regular rounds and then those rare exchanges I can't resist (like the Adult Exchange and the Nude Exchange that I've been waiting for. XD )

I just hope I get characters that appeal to me. OMG this project could be abject torture if I get characters that do NOTHING to inspire me. O.o But hopefully Brianne'll hook me up. LOL Right now from looking at who's signed up, my perfect choices would be Bettina (cause I love her chars and she included Axis Lumen OMG TAIDEN!!!), Goddess Virage, Mirre, Brianne (such a selection. O.o) and that's all I can think of off the top of my head. *bounces with excitement* Now I just have to get out and buy a new pad for this. I'm used to working in 11x14" so that's what whoever gets me is getting. XD Geesh, I wonder how much it'll cost to send that through the mail? . . . . Oh well, as long as it's not like 100 bucks or something I should be fine. ^o^;;;

Yay! The contest is officially over, and just let me say now that I LOVE YOU ALL FOREVER!! So many fabtabulous entries! I adore them all completely, I honestly do. Thank you from the bottom of my wittle heart.

And now, the voting!! Here are the rules. There are THREE categories to vote in; Artistic (1st place prize), Creativity (2nd place prize), and Effort (3rd place prize.

Artistic votes should go to the picture you feel is the greatest and most spectacular, artistically speaking. The poses are great, the anatomy is spot on, they spent a lot of time and effort and came up with an absolutely wonderful piece.

Creativity votes should go to the picture that, while not necessarily the best looking of the bunch, it definately has the coolest idea. They really went above and beyond and used their noodles to come up with this piece!

Effort should go to the picture that really shows that tender love and care. It may not be the best looking, it may not be the most creative, but you can tell that the artist really put their heart and soul and love into making it.

Please note!!! Only vote for a person ONCE in each category. If you vote for someone in the artistic category, you CANNOT vote for them again in creative or effort. Also, if you participated and you feel you rightly deserve one of the slots, then I have no problem with you voting for yourself. But be honest!

You can either place your vote here as a comment to this journal entry, or devnote me if you wish to remain annonymous. Votes will be tallied on August 1st and the winners announced then. Once again, First place prize is a color picture of one or two chars of the winner's choice with a bg if so desired. Just one thought on the whole shoe department person at Wal-Mart . . . women are the MESSIEST shoe shoppers EVER. Please, if you're shopping for shoes, do your shoe sales person a favor and at LEAST put the shoe back in the damn box? It doesn't have to be perfect, just put it back where you found it. Don't take it out, put it on the floor to try it on, then leave it there and continue to pull down six other shoes before you decide you want to go to Payless instead and WALK OFF. *fumes*
