How are y'all? I'm doing well, although I came down with a cold yesterday. Hopefully by tomorrow I will be in full health again. I've officially started a book illustration career, with the printing of my first illustrated kids' book in March, and the second just last week. I finished my work on the third book this week, so in a month or two that'll be on the shelves too! Only the first book is listed on Amazon, but here is a link: [link]
So that's pretty exciting!

Other than that.... I'm graduating in December from GVSU. It'll be 4 1/2 years there... I kinda wish I could stay longer.

I got my hair cut. I hadn't had it cut (only trimmed) since I started college! It was pretty long, so I've donated it

I also got a new bike. It's awesome and pink! A cruiser style bike, so it looks kinda old/retro? I had forgot how much fun it is to go bicycling! And it helps a ton for getting around campus.

I probably still won't visit DA too much in the future, but if you wanna talk sometime, you can email me (i just updated my email address cuz i don't check the old one anymore) I've also got a website, rather in need of some updating, but it has some of my more recent art if you wanna check that out. I miss you guys too, and it really really makes me happy to know that you're still thinking of me.

I saw a McDonalds sign today and I noticed its prolific use of "i" as opposed to "I" and was thinking about how funny it was that this example of bad grammar has become something so acceptable. And how it wasn't even an issue really, back when people just wrote things and didn't have to bother with pressing an extra key to make their i capitalized. And now, it's totally like, the norm. Personally, I capitalize my "I"s always, except when I'm talking on AIM.

Oh. I got some new shoes recently. They're tan, and I think they're cute, even though they're really quite normal-looking. They're Keds. Isn't that like a grandma-brand or something? Anyway .... they're nice shoes. I also got some argyle socks. I love argyle!!

Tonight I was reading numbers dyslexicly when I had to type them in at the end of my night of cashiering ... it was kinda fun. Then I came home and had fish for my dinner, and ate a peep. I love peeps ... they sell them at my work for a dear fifty cents a package and I discovered a dollar in my pocket and, you know, I couldn't resist.

Cat hair on my monitor. I think my cat misses me when I'm at college because she's really sweet when I come back. Or maybe I'm just telling myself she misses me for an esteem-boost, because I like esteem-boosts TOO MUCH. Or maybe she's just spoiled and likes to be given attention.

Anyway, it's pretty good, this chili. I've been eating a lot of chili and ramen lately, for some reason. (cheap?) And I bought Apple Jacks yesterday, to breakfast on here at my dorm. Usually I just snag a couple boxes of cereal from home but all we had was Rice Chex and something like All Bran (Kellogg's) (oh my, have you ever realized what a strange word/brand-name "Kellogg's" is??) and those aren't very delicious. So I bought cereal for myself, cereal that I know my mum would never let me buy if she knew, and I feel oh-so rebellious. Wonderful!

Lots of people are sick lately. I feel bad for you. I hope you all regain your health soon!! According to my mum's theory, I should be sick quite often because I don't eat very healthily. But as you may see, I'm cheery and well. I haven't even been taking my vitamin C lately!

Last thing for this entry. Concerning those things people like to call "kiriban" ... Since I went over 10,000, pageviews with all the numbers the same aren't so common. So if you happen to land on my page and the number happens to be something interesting, let me know. And I'll draw you something maybe. Yes, this is my very lazy, laid-back offer to you all. Um, aside from that, today I obsessed over pictures of Lee, stared at my dramatic Gai-sensei screenshot background, read a few fics, drew a crappy little Shino in the distance in a pic I'm working on, ate way-too-spicy chicken food, went to classes, and painted colours. I really liked painting the colours, and obsessing over pictures of Lee is always a fun way to put off doing homework.

So are writing journal entries.

And after getting pizza again tonight (i refer back to my last entry, if that statement lost you), I've come to the conclusion that it is MEANT to be partly raw. As weird as that is. But I took some of the sauce-stuff that's meant to be used with bread sticks, and it bettered the taste/consistency considerably. So all is well.

Except my lack of soda.

And the cold snow falling outside that I'll have to stumble through at 7:40 tomorrow morning.

And the fact that I am DEFINITELY getting a new room mate, and her room is on the second/top floor of our dorm ... and I don't want to leave mine *gets weepy* but I don't know why she'd want to leave hers, either, so I'll probably end up being the nice-kid who gives in and moves all my junk to the other's upstairs room with all the people I don't know because I'm an antisocial loser who simply doesn't go upstairs.

And all the homework I have to do for my classes.

But if I don't think of these things, I am still a happy person!! So that settles it. *pushes worries out of mind and settles down comfortably in chair with pillows and a tall purple glass of water* Oh, also, I've been TRYING to keep somewhat up-to-date with my dev-messages. As in, I comment on new stuff as soon as I see it. (the old stuff is still sitting in my box waiting for attention ... I'm not that motivated).

And I guess I'm getting a new room mate after all, at some point soonish. Bah ... I was enjoying having the room to myself too. Getting up at 7 is a lot easier when you can turn on the light and open cupboard doors without worrying about waking up the other person. Plus I can be a slob and no one will think anything of it. Again I'm reminded of my perfect-future dream: living in a nice, small apartment in some [Canadian] city.

Happily, I belive my slippers have decided which foot each belongs to, despite being exactly the same by all outward appearances. I think it's pretty smart of my slippers. I feel like some proud parent when I think of them ........

Oh! I got a new sketchbook recently! There's something. Only 5 pages used so far, I believe. But it inks ever-so-much better than my last one, and that makes me very very happy. Now I need to find pretty pictures to print up and put on the front so it's not so dull and brown (though brown is a nice enough colour).

I been listening to all sorts of music I never did before, or at least not recently. To move on to other topics ... Lys is reading BOOKS again!! I read a Hamlet adaption, with a happy ending ... that was interesting. And I finally finished Jackaroo by Cynthia Voigt, after starting it for the third time ... now I'm reading On Fortune's Wheel also by her ... it's my favourite of the series so I'm reading it again.

Ah, what else am I doing over Spring Break? Watching downloaded anime, listening to One Piece musics (the few I manage to find on KaZaA), starting my JOB!! (yes, Lys has a source of income now ... she is a cashier ... to-day will be her first day and she is rather nervous about that ... ) And wondering why, with all this free time, I can't manage to draw anything decent--even on the rare occasions I get inspiration, I lose interest before finishing the picture. To-day is very grey. And chilly. It makes me sad, yesterday was very nice ... warm, sunny, springish. And now we are back to the deadness that is end-of-winter. Dead grass, dead trees, dirty snow, cold air ...

Yeah, it's not very happy. We talked about war-related stuff in French class (I swear, we get so off-topic in that class!). And I'm working on an essay about a book set during/just-previous-to the Vietnam war. So I'm educating myself on the topic ... (book is A Prayer for Owen Meany, remember me always talking about that?). I hate war but I want to know more about them so that I can better say why I don't like them You know?

*sighs* Everything I do is about war these days. I don't like it! It makes me unhappy and I try to be a happy person ... oh well. Ah, sigh! I can't help but wonder ... will college art assignments be this bad? Or will the professors actually KNOW how to teach their subject and keep their students interested and improving? I certainly hope so.

So, after this week I should be back to uploading again ... look forward to it! (isn't that from the next-ep-previews on IY or something?)

OH!! And everyone must download "In the Land of Twilight, Under the Moon" from .hack//SIGN because it is the best!! I drew a picture to go with it ... was up till 3 colouring it this morning (not finished yet though ^ˆ^;; ) Then I woke up at 6:30! 3 and a half hours of sleep here, folks!
