I think it's about time to update my journal. I haven't done anything much on deviantArt, but I've been playing around on some other web tools using Gallery2 (for image galleries: some mobile phone pics and some taekwondo pics), MediaWiki (for collaborative writing projects), WordPress (for blogging) and Moodle (for online learning). Most of this is work related (ie pretty boring rather than arty), but I'm hoping to add some more artistic touches to actual web-design projects - at the moment I'm just doing the infrastructure side of things.

Maybe Tim (or someone else) will become a CSS guru in time to make me some cool themes or at least give me a range of photoshopped images for logos and branding and stuff ...

Anyhow sometime I might add some actual creative stuff to deviantArt ...

I decided to upload some old photos to DeviantArt see how the site works and to see what the subscriber and other options are, and generally to play around with things.

Not sure why - prolly because I'm supposed to be working but it's a public holiday so I don't feel like it

Not sure whether it offers any advantage over my own site or my own photogallery since the things I do are for me rather than "artistic". Then again, I have a secret desire to have a website full of food shots (but I always seem to eat my food before I remember I was going to photograph it - not sure that I want my food shots to take over my "work" site ... don't know what message it would send out to potential employers ...)
