i got some nice presents and cards.. and there was this waiter who sings there and he sang for my birthday which i really DIDN'T LIKE and my friend's son who is like 3 month old started crying because of the waiter singing opera in a minor scale which was really sad but aside from the waiter singing it was beautiful.. 1.of course you have to download an application called swirlyMMS
2. when you install, restart, and open the program go to settings and put the following information:

MMSC: h t t p : / / mms/servlets/mms <----- i did some spacing to prevent it showing as [link] but there are actually no spaces

APN: mms

username: mms

password: mms

image size: high.. which is 300kb

3. for receiving MMSs you will be notified when you receive an mms that you have an mms to fetch. fetch the mms and it will be stored in your iphone.
4. however, you cant view it yet untill you download an application called MobileFinder which is a browsing application. and you will find the recieved mms stored in ~/media/mmsfiles

On the 11th of December my 6 years-old nephew died "memo" the first grand child to both parents families

He had a cough like 80% of children have, nothing major and nothing to make anybody worry about. however, just to be safe his father took him to the hospital "al2a6iba2 almota7doon in Jeddah/ united doctors or whatever" so they give him an inhalant and give him something to make him feel better. the doctor "Ahmad Reffa'at"tells him your sun has nothing really but just to be extra safe bring him to the hospital later today because we don't have enough rooms at the very moment and you have an insurance so just be extra safe you wont loose anything..
my brother brought his son back at night even though he was much better and had nothing practically. the doctor prescribe him a drug that you take as drips through a needle. as soon as he gets the first few drips he gets extreme irritation and starts feeling he cant breath and jumps on the bed. his father tells him son be strong don't do this.. not understanding that his son is actually having an anaphlatic shock because he is allergic to the medicine and didn't need at all.. blood started to come out of his nose and mouth and everywhere.. throughs up.. un able to breath for a minute and stops moving. a few seconds his face becomes blue, hes ears get swollen his lips are blue, and his feet becomes yellow. screaming every body in the room crying out for help. no one answers, no doctors available, nothing.. 15 minutes someone shows up and look for oxygen in the room but the tank is empty. 30 minutes someone else comes and starts to do something abut it.. 66 minutes passes before someone tries to make him live again and give him first aids. nothing works.. and the 6 years old memo as we called him dies. his father in the room, his mother, his grand parents.. crying.. hugging him.. on the edge of sanity..

i heard what happened on the 12th on the way to my work.. i arrive at work and an hour late im in the airport looking for the first flight.. i arrived at Jeddah around 5 pm.. indescribable feelings and indescribable devastation..

i just came back and i am now at work.. all i can say is inna lillah wa inna ilaihi raji3oon..

we sued the hospital and inshalla we're gonna screw their butts off

ok yesterday i watched my first dubai film festival movie and it was "Night Shadows" which i think wasn't good enough.. acting was bad.. directing wasnt amature.. camera work was low budget and and so on.. i didnt like the soundtracks as well..

however, I am so excited about the film festival and i tried to attend the maximum number of movies i can attend and here is the 10 movies i am going to watch.. they are 9 long movies and 4 or 5 short movies:

I went to this PINO gallery a couple of days ago.. I have to say i fell in love with this guy's technique.. he is still not one tenth of my ultimate favorite artist JOHN SINGER SARGENT who i totally fell in love with his work and every piece of painting he has done thie first time i saw his stuff.. John Singer Sargent is just a person from another world.. he has the hands of an angel this guy.. his portraits breath.. letteraly they are not just paintings.. I get the feeling if i stood next to a painting of his and got a little closer i might hear the breathing of the portrait.. they are so alive, so expressive, so spontaneous, so natural.. and so beautiful.. you get to know the person portraid in the painting just from the painting.. he gets the personality and the life story in the eyes and gesture........ i could talk forever really..

so let me go back to what i was saying...my opinion about PINO who i loved his work in general.. I felt the guy is a master in his technique even though he had some faults.. proportion wise and perspective wise.. i saw this huge painting in the gallery that was $170,000+ but it had a part that really annoyed me.. THE GUITAR.. its so wrong in proportions and perspectives i couldn't concentrate on how beautiful the whole painting is because of it..

anyways here are some of his work.. some i really like















there are alot more that i like but too lazy to search for his work on line..

BTW i bought his book from the gallery.. and the first time i asked for the book they told me a page has been cut out because of a nude painting.. then i asked for the original and then the woman told me she has a copy at home and she could bring it the second day.. so i came back and bought the original... "NO IDIOT CAN DECIDE WHAT I SEE AND WHAT I DONT... ITS FREAKIN ART NOT PORNOGRAPHY.. for god sake.. like any body would actually leave the whole world and come to look at this painting for sexual reasons.. how stupid is that.."

I have been thinking about this shot for a few days and barely had the time to actually take it..

finally yesterday, eventhough i was so tired after i came back from the movies "watching balls of fury -very nice movie btw", I picked my tripod and went to the guest room in my apartment so that i don't wake my wife up while taking the photo.. i positioned the camera and did a few trials trying to do the exact thing on my mind but imagination is always more vivid and more surreal.. anyways here is one of the trials i had.. i took quite some of the same thing and this one is probubly the second trial.. second out of like 30..



here is what i had in mind:

1. the image to be much wider "more cinematic proportion and feeling"
2. a little more zoomed out but i tried that and really didnt work and this is the closet to what i had in mind
3. the lights of the city to be much more blurred.. yet this portion of my figure should still be there crisp.. which is impossible with the lenses i have because u need a much narrower focal lenth and a bigger distance between me and the camera.. but i guess this shot is not bad..

i dont know.. i am pretty happy with what i got eventhough my imagination can draw a better version..

I love this guys work.. and i love his style and the way he draws his subjects in relevance to the canvas.. the way they emerge and blend with the paper or they look floating on the paper is just beautiful.. i like the way he understands light and shadow..

6 wierd whatever

1. when i wake up late to work or to an exam i hear "an ear worm" as the germans call it.. a song comes in my ears "ifta7 ya simsim abwabak na7nol2a6fal,, ifta7 wastaqbil as7abak na7nol2a6faaaal" coz when i was young in elementry school i used to not do my homework or anythign so i wake up feeling guilt and afraid and i remember what i was doing last night when i was happy and i remember watching sasimi street the arabic version and the song still hunts me till now.. I HAD IT THIS MORNING FOR GOD SAKE..

2. I USED TO.. NOT NOW.. i used to try to feel how it is for blind people and keep my eyes shut for a long time.. whether i am walking in the street or sitting somewhere or whatever

3. i am most inspired when my eyes are blurred of being sleepy.. i get inspired most when i am sleepy.. not tired.. just sleepy

4. i used to like to eat labne with ketchup.. i used to like it as a kid.. and ask the made to write my name with ketchup on the sandwich before i eat it.. it made it tastier XD.. but now,.. i still eat 7omos with ketchup.. i love it actually..

5. i cant sleep if i hear my watch arms tick tock.. thats why i never buy swatch watches anymore..

6. i read in the car while driving in traffic.. i finished some books that way..

some more.. weird stuff

7. i can stay 3 minutes and 30 seconds underwater without breathing

8. if i am alone i am never bored.. i can always find a way to entertain my self and keep my self busy.. and i really enjoy being alone sometimes

yesterday for example i went to abu dhabi and i wanted to park my car infront of the building so i saw this landcrouse backing up.. so signled and stood aside.. the guy sees me and then stops and goes inside and i wait for a minute he doesnt move.. and he flashes his signels to me to go find some other parking.. i said ok no probs and once i move he backs his car and leaves.. BUT I ALSO REVERSED AND PARKED EVEN THOUGH I WAS FAR FROM HIM.. JUST TO MAKE A POINT TO THIS IDIOTA.. IF I WANNA PARK WHERE HE WAS I WILL.. NO ONE IS GOING TO BE A JERK ON ME.. AND U ASK UR SELF.. 4. me and my younger brother bought a honda s2000 but we discovered that it was about to break and it broke after 4 days and now we might file a lawcase
5. i hate salik and i think they should call it ba3is.. "excuse my french" but to be honest it has made it 10% easier for me to go back home
6. i am so happy i live in a nahda because it is so easy for me to come to work in the morning and it avoinds all the traffic.. and it is like 2 minutes from my wife's work.. so its even better for her
