In other news....Liz has more time to work! Yay! Because Liz got cockblocked out of her classes because SJSU decided to up their tuition and everyone came running to the CC's.....Boooo. Yeah, I'm being forced to take a semester off because I couldn't get into any of my classes. I thought, "ooh I'm high on the waitlist, I'll be good to go." Nope. I got royally screwed over. Yeah. Fun times. And I don't even know if that teacher will be teaching the same class next quarter. So my plans to graduate have been pushed back even farther. Yay. Lots of things hinge on me graduating, and I'd like to do it as soon as possible. But with 8,000 extra people to fight against....my chances are getting slim.

So, I was driving home, listening to my iPod (don't worry I had one of those tape thingys that you put into the tape deck) and a song called "the Worm" by Audioslave comes on. And some of the lyrics hit me. So I'm going to do a series of pictures that go with these lyrics, that also follow along with a character I play in a forum and her life thus far. Some of you who watch me know her and others don't. Though I do seem to draw her a lot. That's right, it's Rose "Ravager" Wilson. Now, she's not technically my intellectual property, but her life will go along with the comics to a point and then it will take inspiration directly from what happened in the forum. I'm pretty sure, some of the most prominent racial stereotypes come from people who work retail. We see a lot of people. And a lot of traits do seem to be carried by certain ethnicities. But I'm not gonna repeat those here. I'm sure I could expand the subject matter and make it "Life in the service industry." but then the book would be never ending. So, life in retail. Dealing with people. Fun stuff (not). I'm sure most people who go into retail for work have parents who understand the crap you deal with, because one of their first jobs was as a cashier or something similar. Not mine. I can't gripe at her about it because she doesn't understand where I'm coming from at all. And she drives me up a freaking wall when we go out and she gets really impatient with the service people. So I usually tell her to zip it and let me handle it. After I take over, we get a much more pleasant experience. Okay, I'm done ranting for a bit. I may expand on this later.

I wake up this morning and my eyes seem to be doing better. Yes I said eyes, that's not a typo, they both got infected over the weekend. I'm happy, I may get to hug and kiss my boyfriend senseless before the week is out. I go to the doctor to day to get medicine for the pink eye, which apparently is going away quite nicely. While I'm there, I decide to figure out what the hell to do about my cough. After a brief examination, the doctor tells me I have bronchitis. That's right, bronchitis. *rips hair out* Of all the fucking things!!!! And this isn't the first time I've had it. I had it once before in middle school and I was miserable. So, it appears my hope of being able to have physical human contact with anyone by the end of the week is flying away out the window. Like I said, Life hates me.

Although the U.S. Government and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) do not classify Dihydrogen Monoxide as a toxic or carcinogenic substance (as it does with better known chemicals such as hydrochloric acid and benzene), DHMO is a constituent of many known toxic substances, diseases and disease-causing agents, environmental hazards and can even be lethal to humans in quantities as small as a thimbleful.

Research conducted by award-winning U.S. scientist Nathan Zohner concluded that roughly 86 percent of the population supports a ban on dihydrogen monoxide. Although his results are preliminary, Zohner believes people need to pay closer attention to the information presented to them regarding Dihydrogen Monoxide. He adds that if more people knew the truth about DHMO then studies like the one he conducted would not be necessary.

A similar study conducted by U.S. researchers Patrick K. McCluskey and Matthew Kulick also found that nearly 90 percent of the citizens participating in their study were willing to sign a petition to support an outright ban on the use of Dihydrogen Monoxide in the United States.

Historically, the dangers of DHMO, for the most part, have been considered minor and manageable. While the more significant dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide are currently addressed by a number of agencies including FDA, FEMA and CDC, public awareness of the real and daily dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide is lower than some think it should be. Critics of government often cite the fact that many politicians and others in public office do not consider Dihydrogen Monoxide to be a "politically beneficial" cause to get behind, and so the public suffers from a lack of reliable information on just what DHMO is and why they should be concerned. Part of the blame lies with the public and society at large. Many do not take the time to understand Dihydrogen Monoxide, and what it means to their lives and the lives of their families.

Unfortunately, the dangers of DHMO have increased as world population has increased, a fact that the raw numbers and careful research both bear out. Now more than ever, it is important to be aware of just what the dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide are and how we can all reduce the risks faced by ourselves and our families.
Each year, Dihydrogen Monoxide is a known causative component in many thousands of deaths and is a major contributor to millions upon millions of dollars in damage to property and the environment. Some of the known perils of Dihydrogen Monoxide are:


* Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities.
* Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage.
* Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life-threatening side-effects.
* DHMO is a major component of acid rain.
* Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns.
* Contributes to soil erosion.
* Leads to corrosion and oxidation of many metals.
* Contamination of electrical systems often causes short-circuits.
* Exposure decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes.
* Found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions.
* Given to vicious dogs involved in recent deadly attacks.
* Often associated with killer cyclones in the U.S. Midwest and elsewhere, and in hurricanes including deadly storms in Florida, New Orleans and other areas of the southeastern U.S.
* Thermal variations in DHMO are a suspected contributor to the El Nino weather effect.

For the most part, the press has not reported on the dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide as much as some would like. Although many private individuals have put up web sites in a major grassroots effort to spread the word, major publications have not.

Recently, attention has been paid to the subject thanks to an incident in Aliso Viejo, California. This so-called Aliso Viejo Incident was widely reported in the media, although the director of DHMO.org, Dr. Tom Way, was called a "prankster." Once the Associated Press started circulating the story, it became fact, and the valuable information being provided by the DHMO.org website was deemed to be "rubbish" rather than an honest and unbiased recounting of facts about a dangerous, life-endangering chemical compound.

They are trying to make her a goddamned martyr and are too scared to come out and admit they reported her on an actual account so they created another one. And because of all this stupidity the admins have now ruled "since Kagome was underaged for the majority of the manga, she will be considered underaged from now until all eternity by DeviantART staff, the canon ending of Rumiko Takahashi be damned." I don't normally talk about anything the admins do here because it, (I say selfishly) doesn't normally affect me. But this is just going to fucking far. Really?! Fucking admins allow all the fucking fanart to slip through the giant ass cracks (big as the damned Grand Canyon) but because someone decided to be stupid, they persecute an absolutely wonderful artist. It takes many forms though, like you can txt someone the chorus (I know, I've done it) you can write a note (done that too) or have it as a ring tone. Anyway, back to the point, me getting rickroll'd isn't all that uncommon. Just like how it's not uncommon for me to lose the game (damnit!! I just lost). It was in the delivery of today's rickroll that is worth noting. I was walking in the mall toward the food court. I walk that way a lot cause I work in the mall. As I am passing Abercrombie & Fitch I hear, "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down. Never gonna run around and hurt you." I stop. So yeah, I went to a concert with my boyfriend the other day. It was fun, and very very LOUD as concerts tend to be when the venue is rather compact. But this journal is about what happened on the way there and how I got the driving jitters. So, as some of you know, I live in the Bay Area and the concert was in San Fransisco. We had to take the freeway there and I, unlike some people I know, have no problem with going on the freeway. I'll frequently go at least eighty when there's no traffic. On this day however, there was. It was this past Wednesday and we got on the road just in time for rush hour. Yay
Anywidgen, we were driving along when I had to slam on my brakes because some asshole decided "Oh gee, I need to get off here" when he was waaaaay past the point of no return. The off ramp had already split far off and because he was a total Liou coe shway duh biao-tze huh hoe-tze duh ur-tze*, which caused everyone behind him to have to stop. Now this guy was about five cars ahead of me, and this caused a chain reaction, the whole slamming on the brakes thing. Well, I slammed on my brakes, and the lady behind me slammed on her brakes and that went swimmingly. It was the asian kid driving a honda that slammed into her that screwed it all up. The Honda had no front end anymore!! I saw the whole thing through my rearview and could feel the metal crunch. It gets better!!! a minivan behind the Honda rearended him! So, right behind me was a three car pile up and I just kinda sat there for a second and let my nerves cool down. Everyone else was swerving to get out of the way and I was amazed no one else got hurt. I wanted to pull over but we were late as it was and other people were pulling over anyway. The road in front of me cleared and I gunned it. I have never been so close to an accident that I had not been involved in and it shook me a bit cause mine haven't been that serious.

This, however, means, my copy of PS7 is gone and I have no photo editing software yet. I can't reload it because it wasn't my cd and technically was a copy. I don't know how to use torrents, though I have tried scrapetorrent to find it, I don't know how to use or load it once it's been downloaded. Mom said she would buy CS3, which costs a shiny $299 at my school, but like usual she's dragging her feet. I would buy it myself but I lack the funds, what with my paycheck only coming in once a month. It isn't helped by the fact that I cannot work overtime nor can I work more than twenty five hours a week unless it's rush week, which it is right now......that's going to be a nice paycheck next month. But I need to pay of my card and save up for both Fanime and *chorus plays hallelujia* Comicon. And with the rate I burn through cash, I say this is a fools errand so I plan on getting a second job.

Her fiance, Ethan, moved all the way from Colorado for them to be together, they are high school sweet hearts. They were planning on getting married in February and hopefully have a child together soon after. Unfortunately, Becky has lost her job. They are having a hard time financially, so there was going to be no 'wedding', just a quick visit to the courthouse because that's all they could afford. I knew this really upset Becky, it has been her dream to have a wedding, I think it's kinda every girl's dream.

Well, a local radio station here, KDWB, is giving away a free wedding for valentine's day, and it includes EVERYTHING. It reminds me just how fat and ugly I am. And don't start with the "Oh but you're not ugly" stuff. When I try I'm not ugly, with tons and tons of make up. I don't know if it's the mirrors they have in stores that make me feel uber depressed, or how everything I want to buy is never in my size, but I'm always just blargh. I get all disgusted with myself and want to go in a hole and cry. It only happens when I go shopping. I take my medication so this doesn't happen, but when I go shopping it just gets sooo overwhelming and I can't take it. I hate it. Today I actually considered anorexia to get out of this because I can't afford a personal trainer. For me, I need someone to help me with exercise and diet, and my mother is not the best candidate. I asked, totally serious, for a personal trainer for Christmas. This was a person I had taken my mother to, so we could go together, but she says she's unconvinced that I will stick to it. If she knew how much I just want to die half the time I look in the mirror, she wouldn't doubt me. I don't have enough money to pay for this guy on my own, and I so would if I could. I want to, I like his plan. He's not all buff and hulked out, he's nice and toned without going overboard which makes sense. But did I get it? No, of course not. She doesn't think I'm ready or committed enough, so I go on sulking, hating how I look. Sure I attempt to diet and then tell my mother about it but she just goes eh, whatever. arghness

I was feeling miserable. I didn't know what I had done to deserve such treatment from those I once called friends. I went on a retreat that was offered to all seniors, hoping that the three days away would help me clear my head. It was a wonderful experience, one I will never forget. But when I got back, the little bubble of happiness I had burst and I began to spiral even farther downward, until I made a very horrible decision; I tried to take my own life.
It was late at night, and I had been crying myself to sleep for the past few nights. I couldn't take it anymore, so I got up and decided to take all of my meds in order to kill myself. You see, I had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder when I was younger but the doctor kept telling me it was ADD. But that wasn't the problem, they were medicating me right, but I didn't realize I could go so low after feeling so high. I had the pill bottle at my mouth, ready to swallow them all, when I had a second thought. I didn't want to leave my mother all alone, she had lost her husband and mother within the span of a year and if I left, she'd have nothing. So I put the cap back on the bottle and went to bed. The next day I went to see my counselor and told her what had happened. Thus began the therapy sessions and the increase in my dosage. I've gotten better now. I feel a lot better now about myself and my situation. I only maintain contact with one of my original friends, but through him I find out about everybody else.
Three of them do drugs. None of them talk to the instigator anymore. One of them just puts up with her boyfriend's porn and pot smoking habit and has picked up cigarettes. One has become addicted to WoW and doesn't really seek out actual human contact. And the instigator? She has a boyfriend that she can't leave because he threatens to kill himself. She also has an ulcer. Now after all this, I've come to the conclusion, Karma is a real bitch. And see what happens when you take out the linch-pin? (me) Everything falls apart. I have a boyfriend who loves me, I'm not addicted to any drugs, I have a bunch of friends that kick major ass, and I'm happier than I've ever been. So tell me, who's life is better? Yeah, that's what I though. Peace out ya'll, I'm off to enjoy my wonderful life.

In other news. I'm getting shafted in my job. I'm not working more that two days a week and I really would like some more income than the measly $7.50 an hour I get there. I've applied at a few other places and Kohl's is one of the top ones I'd like to work at. It's bugging me that I haven't gotten more hours. I think he doesn't like me much. I am a royal fuck up though, I keep screwing up phone orders and what have you. I think I'm costing him more money than just the pay he has to give me. I like the people, I really do, but the job itself is driving me mad. Ah well. I'll be smart about it this time and won't quite until I have another job. Hey the last time I quit my job I had a very good reason. Cuz if I hadn't, I am damn sure there would have been a disgruntled employee incident plastered all over the news. (Is Libby gonna have to choke a bitch?!) It was like going into high school all over again. I though if I was in the adult world, things wouldn't seem so damned juvenile. But alas, I was wrong. That and my boss wanted me to say "fuck school, your life is here." oh hell no, that ain't happening bitch! Seriously, I want to know why she thought that was a good idea. But I digress. I'm getting all upset thinking about it again. I know I sound like a spoiled brat when I say I don't even do dishes at home, but it would be a bit easier if there was an actual dish washing machine. It has it's perks though, paid breaks, free food while working, funny regulars. Haha, yesterday was my second day on the register. *hangs head* Not my best day. I was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. Pete, my boss, said I was doing very good for my second day, but I kept saying I was sorry. The word is a cop out for me when I am feeling inadequate and he told me not to say it again because there was nothing for me to be sorry about. I had to bite my tongue after that pretty much all night.

Second, my boyfriend is living with me. Now don't even start in on the jokes because my mother rules with an iron fist. We sleep in separate rooms, and because both of us are working now, we can't really find time to spend together. That makes me kind of sad, he really only ever has one day a week off and thats because he isn't scheduled to work. And judging by how I've been scheduled, I know won't be able to see him much on Wednesdays. Sure I probably won't have work until 5, but still, I would like to spend an entire day with him. Ah well, thus is life, just like Mark had to find out today. Cedar Faire (the people who bought Great America) gave him a new uniform. Normally managers get to wear their own clothes, but Cedar Faire has given even them a uniform: a short sleeved button up shirt and tie. He HATES ties, and doesn't even know how to tie one. I thought I knew so we were scrambling around this morning and he gave it to me to tie and I forgot so I gave it to my mom. She had no idea (though she was the one who taught me) so she called my grandpa. Watching her try and do it jogged my memory and so I did it. Mark however, is too damned short for the tie. It was fitted to him, and his shirt was too, but he couldn't button the top button over his adam's apple and the skinny end of the tie was too long. Well anyway, we ran out of the house only to find that the tie is too long so we try and retie it. I taught my boyfriend how to tie a tie. While driving. Talk about hectic.

oooh birthdays, fun fun fun. mine was nice and quite cuz i don't like to broadcast that i'm getting older. next year however, there WILL be a big to-do cuz then i can get drunk, legally anyways. hehe this year, my celebration has gone on for three days so far, more people want to kidnap me though. lessee, on wednesday i went out to cheesecake factory with family and made my boyfriend endure it. 1. Diary: Ummm I have one? I don't usually keep a regular diary.

2. Bathroom - Bath time.......umm first time? need I say more? hehe

3. Lunch - My mom, making sandwiches for me and some friends I had over. She makes the best sandwiches I swear. She should open a deli

4. Music - I was feeling very sad because I was going through bf withdrawls, he was working all week and I hadn't seen him at all. I was listening to my ipod and I was suddenly hit with the urge to create a playlist of songs that reminded me of him. Now I listen to it to cheer me up.

5. Underwear - ummmmmm on a celing fan? what? j/k i dunno

6. New Year - Going out to dinner in downtown then staying up to kiss the man I love. (pssssst! its the first time I've ever been able too!)

7. Music - again? okay, Um, in the shower I was having a really bad week and Scars from PapaRoach came on for the first time. It hit me where I was hurting

8. Road trip - Omg too many to count! Oh I went to Canada for the first time! It was the last one I went on with my dad before he died.

9. Water - Getting a swimming pool in my back yard. I love to swim

And that ladies and gents, would be my brain. My brain exploding that is, because it has been invaded by pr0n. Why, you ask, has my brain been invaded and then blasted into a million tiny pieces? Because, for the past few days, that is all I have been bombarded with by my friends. What's that? I have kinky, weird friends you say? Well generally speaking, yes, yes I do. But thats not the point. The point is, it has overwhelmed me to the extent that all I want to do now is write, draw, do, see pr0n. Does that make me a certifiable person?
