SUBMITTING WORK: I have an example here on how you can upload it to DA and what I’m kind of looking for in sketches/and bio. Once uploaded you can send me a link to your submission through a pm. I’ll than pm you back saying I got it and an email that you can send your higher res drawings/word documents too. Please zip everything into one file when you email them too me, it will seriously save on time. If you are submitting to the writers option put everything in a Microsoft Office Word document. If you don’t have that program…just put it all in and email, and I’ll copy paste it into one.
When you email everything to me, you must put your screen name from DA in the subject fallowed by the word Contest EX if I were to submit something I would put my screen name malice Kisho fallowed by contest: “Malicekisho Contest”. BW FINISHED DRAWINGS: If your going to do a finished piece with a medium that will result it being in black and white…make sure on the sketches and notes page you illustrate or write the colors of the character in some form or fashion.

Challenge: This shouldn’t be really hard, because at one point we really all do it. The mission in this contest is to come up with your own character. Yes, I said your -own-. The subject though has to be of either an Angel or a Demon, out of society’s typical characterization of the two. So really, an Angel acting like a Demon or a Demon showing attributes that angels are known to usually have.

   My artwork has only appeared on the front page twice, and one of those times it wasn’t even me who posted it. It was some one using my artwork (without my permission, later asked) for a poem…and the other time was for a print (self destruction). Also, considering that I’ve been here for four years, my artwork has changed considerably. I feel like I’ve out grown the MaliceKisho title. On the other hand I feel like I’ve grown attached to it…I’m a bit torn when I say this, but I find that Kisho is no longer my muse. In fact I haven’t –really- drawn him for over a year. I don’t want to delete what I have here either, nor go through all the trouble of reposting them some where else (mainly for copyright issues, deviant art is kind enough to date when you post things).
   
   So here’s what I came to conclusion…I’ll make a new account MaliceAzriel. I’ll be reposting everything that I’ve done for this year, and won’t be deleting anything before that from the MaliceKisho account, but it will no longer be under use. This way any fans that desire enough to see my future work, or bother to read journals…will be able to fallow where I currently am, and know what happened to me. I don’t want any one feeling like I just abandoned my fans. For all you Y! followers, no worries I will be keeping the Kisho title (for now).

   YES, I have hordes and hordes of files designed specifically just for that purpose. In fact I have two 1gb thumb (flash) drives full of resources and references. One’s for the human body alone, the other is for anything else…trees, flowers, light sources, doors…just a lot of stuff.
   
   2.Where do you get your references?
   Magazines, books, irl photographs (with the help of my nifty scanner)…yahoo/google searches.
   
   3.What artist(s) influence your style?
   J.W. Waterhouse, Dali, Anthony Goicolea.
   
   4.Does Zach (kisho), Rio (Ryo) and Azriel have an Online Manga or written fiction?
   No. Well, not currently…that is not much out side of random and spontaneous para rp. I think it would be a lot easier to try one of those if I had some one to work with x_x…to keep me motivated and interested in working on it.
   
   5. What programs do you use? OC 1.1, Paint shop pro 7, illustrator, Fire works and Photoshop.

   A few did it just for fun while other’s were considering the contest. But either way I sat and seriously considered all of them, filtering through the same image over and over x_x… no easy task at 6 am…but I think I’ve narrowed it down to one

   All right, well, I’m as settled in as I ever will be at my grandmother’s house. I’m book-less, cd-less, and we only have dial up. The move to Maryland was excruciatingly painful. I had to drive through New York, and Jersey behind a Pensky truck that went no faster than 50 miles per hour. Jersey drivers are suicidal…every one of them should be removed from the road and retake 60 hours worth of drivers education. You know I actually had a guy say to me once “I wish there weren’t helmet laws.” I stopped to think about how stupid this guy was without verbally insulting this guy. There’s a reason~ helmets are the law. One: Your head isn’t as hard as the pavement. Two: you’re a retard to not realize this. I wanted to get my mother (nurse in recovery) to talk to this guy…she told me this story about a guy once that had an accident on a motorcycle. He wasn’t wearing any protective gear, not even real shoes. *shudders* he was better off dying. The only person that ever came to see him any more was his delusional mother who thought he was going to jump out of bed any day now. He’s spent half his life in the hospital, never got to know his kids, his wife divorced him and remarried, every one moved on without him. Which reminds me why my mother told me this story…we were at this spiffed up Family restaurant that was a Pizza Hut. *laughter* now mind we were hungry when we went into the restaurant, we got bread sticks (Mmmm….breadsticks) and was waiting for our pizza for more than 40 minuets because our waiter disappeared. Our waiter comes back all apologetic and gives us our first slice of pizza (which seems to be a new policy). My mom was like in a subtle but sort of obvious tone asking what the hell took so long…the waiter got all red and was like ‘sorry, I’m the only person in the staff that is CPR certified.’ My mother lifts an eyebrow like ‘uhuh, And? ’…you know that mother look…so he stumbles on ‘there was a motorcycle accident at the intersection.’ As horrible as it sounds I couldn’t help but laugh. We were sitting there for 45 minuets waiting for our pizza, and our waiter was at the intersection giving CPR. The worst part was that no one bothered to tell us, so we were sitting their talking about how lousy the guy was, the crappy service, and how we weren’t going to tip (which it was, because no one bothered to take the waiters tables).
   On another note, I’ve been working against an art block this month. I think it’s because I’m all stressed out…but get this, I got an idea from a David Bowie song called Rock’N’Roll suicide. Now I grew up on David Bowie (among many other classic Rock, my Dad’s proud he raised me right) with out actually knowing who he was. Wait, that’s not right, I knew who David Bowie was (the guy from the Labyrinth) and I knew all of his songs…but I never connected the two together as the same person. So when I heard Rock 'N' Roll Suicide for the first time I recognized the voice as the same guy that did the “Major Tom’ song (I know it’s called something else, space oddity?) So that’s when the epiphany hit me that the tight fitting creepy Labyrinth guy was the singer of one of my top ten favorite songs. I’ll resist the urge to name of the rest of that list, but Rock 'N' Roll Suicide was one the songs that just gave me chills when listening to it.
   Azriel is actually one of my newer characters that has managed to stick around, and pull a close second to my lovable couple Kisho and Ryohi (or English names Zach and Ryo). I mean…what isn’t there to love about him? He’s pretty, psychotic, talks in lyrics, hardly ever wears cloths, and has wings.
   Which leads to another topic, I LOVE the male body…I hate putting cloths on it T_T (you may of noticed). I could seriously draw and study the curves of a male body all damn day. The problem? It’s just not acceptable and popular these days. I pretty much rule out 80% of any males under the age of 40 in liking what I do (or at least admitting it). How do I deal with this? I chug out as much artistically naked males as I can, trying to even the odds (or influence there to be more) against the hordes of the female body (or not so artistic, just smutty female artwork).
   One thing that does bother me about my art work though is how pretty I always make my subjects. I’m not necessarily proud of how inhumanly perfect I sometimes make my characters, but I like to compensate with putting loads of my own emotion into my pieces.

   Kisho: The illustration its self is eye catching and unique all into its self. I loved the line use and color choices that undoubtedly managed to remind me of a comic page...which is why I felt the piece didn’t' break any of the rules of the contest even though it was only one panel of the artist plot line. The story plot was a bit B movie-ish…but we all at some point love to watch those B movies *laughter*. I felt that the Artist was able to catch a good feeling for both Ryo and myself.

   *gig* I'll be graduating with an associates in Art the 5th ^.^! I'll be the first cousin on both sides of my family to get any kind of degree in college. (note I’m one of the younger kids)
   In the spring I’ll be transferring to Maryland institute of art...which I did go to the on campus guide thingy, and I must say it's awwwwsome.
   That and I've never seen so many hot guys in nice fitting jeans in my life!

   alright...so like promised my commission are back open. but this is important...so read the rules. If you note me for a commission I’ll expect you have read them and i will hold you to them.
   
   *I only do digital drawings for commission, so no originals.
   
   *if you want it a certain size or dpi please tell me so before hand, other wise i'll just be doing the drawing at 100 dpi and what ever size I choose.
   
   *You will be paying half the commission price before hand. If it turns out the drawing takes longer than expected...and If I hand you the art work...and you aren't happy with it, you have three strikes for me to go back to the drawing board. if your still not pleased after three, you will still be paying me the complete other half of the payment. This is something that really happen in the art world so I’ m just not making this rule up ^^.

   Alright...it’s about time I’ve done a new journal. *thinks* ah...hmm...what to say...
   Oh yes unskillful soliciting. Please buy some prints off me...money, money, poor art student...need. want a certain print that isn't optional? please note me and i'll put it up.
   It’s sad when I got the choice of going to a class 45 min away or going to the art store 45 min the other direction to get my supplies...than ending up getting an 60% on a art project because I couldn’t afford the gas for the supplies. Which I was throughly pissed off about because the teacher wasn’t willing to cooperate with me. The first time in my life time where I was really trying at something art related and failed miserably. Mono printing is not my thing, and I was actually tempted to tear the damn thing up for a 0.
   Which leads me to another topic. Any one got the program “fireworks”? Preferably in English ;? I got a version *coughs* but it ended up in Spanish...and im not willing to pay the 300 dollars for the one program or over a 1,000 for the package set....that and I don’t have the time to go back and forth between the school to use their computers.
   Comission are currently closed and put on pause till I finish this semester. Graduating comes first T_T ...sorry I’m swamped with my 5 classes.

   so like i finished one of the contest winners drawings. it's on my SA account, cause it's...really naughty *laughter*. and those who dont like to see yaoi...this is you chris...don't bother searching for it.

   *thinks* ....work still sucks. and im STILL the assistant manger, all by myself cause my manager's hip surgerer the new guy lenny is driving me crazy -_-...the guy does stuff to obviously test my limits. like he NEVER rotates stock, never refills the case or reice it. he'll let the case windows sit there dirty all day..and he's not smart enough to know not to put fresh items in the our frezzer....folks...seriously how hard can this concept be? fresh foods/thawed=cooler, frozen=freezer....you don't put a HEAD OF LETACE in the freezer....and you do not but somthing that has aready thawed out...back into the freezer. hello freezer burn??
   oi....but enough about lenny cause i could go on forever and ever on how much this guy pisses me off. i hate working with guys my age...their just......stupid kids still. -_- not that im not, but im closer to realty than this guy is. he seriously thinks he can get away with clocking out 45 min. early...and clocking 10 min. in early before a shift and sit on his lazy ass in the break room to "make up the time." ...wait i thought i wasn't going to rant about this ass?? ok once more...he managed to call in 45 min. before the hour he was working to tell me that he can't come into work becasue he was out of state. to top it all off its a rare occasion he comes in on the morning shifts on time....were talking about 1-2 hours late. but your saying...why the fuck is this guy still hired?? becuase this is vermont, its not like i have people jumping into my department to be hired. it took literly half a year to get 2 more workers in my department...after i got rid of the other dip shits that worked with me. no don't get me wrong...i don't aim to try and get people fired, it just so happens that the 5 other people ive worked with in the time frame of 2 years i worked at shaw's.....have ALL been nitwits. starting with Dawn...seriously this chic gives a whole new meaning to dumb blond. i would seriously have to talk to her till...ha get this...it would -dawn- on her what the hell i was talking about. i didnt mind her so much though, she did her work even though you constantly had to remind her to do it. she actually quite cause she had to move away to out west....
   the second worker was john....*shudders* this guy was actually cheating shaw's out of money, he was listed as full time worker but the guy never worked more than 18 hours a week...i have no clue how this happened cause i wasnt in charge than but..oi...and no matter how many people that i work with no one could be as lazy as this guy. he would litterly stand there pretending to do stuff...lean against the cabnits, hide behind the wall near the desk out of sight of the counter, or stand for 30 min in front of the sink spraying the -clean- sink down...he did -nothing-. but the best thing about this is the guy is he gave a 3 day notice that he was quieting and starting a new job...2 months latter i saw him at wallmart out of state ((yes....i hate small towns)) the job that he had before didn't work out for more than a week...*snicker laughter* and he was now cleaning toliets at wallmart. he actually had the nerv to ask me if there was still space in seafood for a part time job. i laughed at him...

   ag this weeks sucked sooooo much ass. happy holidays indeed.
   i ended up losing my drivers license, and when i went to go get it replaced....someone ends up stealing the new card along with my birth certificate and social card. So I naturally hope over to the bank to tell them I want to cancel my two credit cards, and the lady tells me that I actually only have one filed....I was like “but I have TWO?” and she was like “they both work?” I narrowed my eyes like “ya...” “Alright well we can just cancel the both of them for you and issue a new one.” me “ok cool.” so she goes to talk to her manager about what happened and comes back to tell me she cant do anything for me cause I don’t have any id. I took a breath and went down to the dmv collecting up what ever I could to prove I was -me- bank stubs, payroll account at work, college papers, college id etc. etc. I had to wait 30 min. in line to be told he couldn’t do anything for me.
   So I was like “so let me get this strait? You wont issue me a new drivers licence even though you know I’m me...cause I was here just last week talking to -you- about the same subject...because I don’t have my birth certificate or social security card cause some ass hole out there has both of them along with my credit card, driver licence...and my bank account number...?” he answers nonchalantly “correct”...I’d like to consider I was handling the situation rather well till this point. That fucker was lucky there was plexy glass separating us... I asked “So there’s nothing you can do for me? Me and my identity are just floating in limbo, and at any moment some one can clean me out of every cent I have?” “Correct” agg...I could feel the anger actually tainting my cheeks “how do I go about getting new birth certificates and social cards?” the bastard didn’t even help me at -all- he actually said to me “I don’t know, I’m not dumb enough to loss -MINE-, can you please leave so I can help the next in line.” I had to turn away at that point, every one in line actually took a step back after seeing and hearing the topic at hand. iactually had death written in my eyes. *sighs* so in short I ended up calling my mother in hysterics. tomorrow I have to go down to the police department and report stuff as stolen so I can get a temporary drivers card. That and I got both of my credit cards flagged so no one can use them.

   *coughs* i don't know if any of you relize this but i do work at a shaw's company in the new england area. today actually is my 2nd annaversary working at the company, and no one laugh ^^ but i work in the seafood department. currently for 11 months i've been running the department by my self, becuase my seafood manager has been away for hip surgary. so that makes me tecnically the seafood assistant manger. i'm more than just a clerk beacuse well...i know alot more, such as, making sure all the policies are fallowed and food safty measure are meet, i use the USA ( it list everything that i sold and how much i sold for that weeks period) in making any amendments in ordering product, including the PMB (sheet that list all the new sales)... ((im not expecting you to know what all this is..i'm just saying)) and the physical inventory. but anyway...i do mostly if not all the odering for the seafood department. all are sales are high, and what we tossed out has been decreased. truthfully when ordering i rarely cheak the USA cause it's usally wrong...>.> so i go with what i 'feel' is the right amount, and i have yet to have it fail me. lol and today i just got my appraisial and development form for my work preformance. Woot....not only has my intuition got got me a dollar raise, and soon another 10 cents...but i got a 4 out of 4 on my job preformance. rarely ever do they cassualy hand these out ^^ *claps for self and pats back*

   i must say this was an intresting card to pull out of a full deck concerning my self.
   
   THE FOOL-

Classically, I would assume the card meant being careful of what lies ahead, playing it conservatively, the 'look before you leap' approach. He is afraid of nothing, he is hindered by nothing, he is 'charmed' He can do anything he wishes. If this card comes up it says to me that the situation is unhindered.

   not only does it show how much the topic of gay marriages shouldn't be an issue...but it shows how narrow minded a "good christian man" can be. there's another topic in it self...wtf makes a good christian man? if bush is one...i'm seriously scared that he's any type of roll model for any religion.

   ******on a happier note....i have this idea, ok a couple, for a feature project, although, i haven't quiet finished my last one (the abc book). i'm gonna write my ideas down now so i wont forget them all.
   I'm going to start taking down notes of my dreams in a journal. my dreams are oddly vivid and colorfull ...on most occasions inspiring. i have many dreams that just stick in the back of my mind lurking there to be thought of at random moments ((mostly during any moments of silence....like now....most change cd)), and my ultimite goal is to give an effect in an art peice like my dreams have on me... and with the talented help of my friend crys and his anylasising personality he's going to help me ((wither he knows this now or not)) with translating the 'true' meaning' of my dreams to give the piece more feeling not just a picture of a dream i had...a part of myself ((good or bad...or just issues i have)) to show to the world.
   second idea...i've been playing around with the idea of self potraits in mother goose rhymes. this thought came from a random chat with a friend where we playing "remeber the lines"....but i don't just want to do another plain old over used drawings, i want to give them a dark twist, i not sure how to do this just yet. ^^ *evil laughter* but an idea will come to me.

   im bored so im going to write -warning the fallowing may be pointless jabber and contant no real body structure...or correct grammer and spelling for that matter. this is called a free write.
   
   so half the years already gone ^^...and i don't feel like i have all that much to show for it. truthfully i have noticed i've been getting better with what i do, but the problem lately is...well the desire to cont. what i'm doing. life is feeling rather monotonous right at this point...eat sleep work school and draw....with the occasional manga (*guilty*mostly yaoi...)
   also i've descovered i don't like silence, it makes me nervous and i start to fidget *laughs*. i get this scene from the saprano's where tony and his wife are sitting with a councler ((was that what he was?)) and he was telling them that his son has some of the symptoms of A.D.D...and one of the symptoms was 'fidgeting', and tony was like ".....he...fidGETS?! what constitues a fidget??" good scene. oh kinda went off topic lol...but anyways i've noticed i'm devoloping quiet a collection of cd's, along with my manga obsession. a rather large...selection *snickers* from J.T.L (( a korean pop band)) to Mucc ((a japanese jrock band..i want to say closer to metal but...)) to jewel, kittie, bjork and sigur ros ((icelandic)), to neil young and pink flyod...not to mention a little nirvana and guns and roses, with a little orgy mixed in there ^^, and to think i havn't scratched the surface. almost every genere exculding, polka, country, and rap, although a few of these bands mix rap into their music...but nothing that's like...rap ...rap...you know what i mean.
   but one things for sure i know the bands i dont like- beastie boys, DeG and rage against the machine.
   beastie boys....there is no ...ag i cant even find words to the pointless jebber jabber those boys oh so tone deafingly sing about. just one of those bands that just push my nerves at their lack of talent of carring a tone.
   *ducks for cover* i am not a DeG fan either...i keep being told from evey fan i meet that the wrong songs can really set a person off to DeG music, and yes i have heard more than one song... at least more than 5 songs, and i don't have the titles of which ones i listen to cause it was off a radio and each time a deg song played i had to mute it cause of the, dare i say the words on my mind, crapness. but really sets me off about this band is the fans, to say in the least they can be down right ...scary O.O!! and dangerously abussive over their band lol...i've been bitten scratched raped and molested by multiple dangerously loyal fangirls....who declare that i am in no rights...wrong in my opinion and not free to express it.
   
   rage against the machine, i can listen to it but after a while i get...eh...i have nothing against them at all and i respect rage's abilities to "say what ever the f*ck i want too say wither you f*cking like it or not" and their choice to exercise the first amendment (even if they broke up) but after hearing this band for hours and hours and hours from the room over and my fathers car...it's tiresome to hear so much hate, and "unhappy" lyrics mixed in with my least fav subject politics.

   Incase yo all didn’t notice I am back from my vacation time early.
   So yesterday was my last day of being 19, officially I am 20. I still haven’t warmed up to the idea as of yet though. Still feels weird to think about.
   I’m sorry though to say I have absolutely NOTHING new that I drew over the period, and a special sorry to Reapersun cause I started over her sketch at least 3 times and I’m still mad at it. *shrugs*
   um anything else....not really ._.; I finally got to read that mystery book that was sitting on my shelf for a month and a half. It was good, surprisingly I was able to guess who was the killer, but I had who was in the cottage and who was ‘the brains’ behind it all, mixed up cause of the plot twists.

   First off we have to start with music! Music, music makes the world go round, whiter it’s that soft tonal pattern, music that is just perfect to feel throbbing through your chest at concerts, or the even the simple lyrics that sends you pondering in thought.
   Music-Sigur ros- revelation my world says I. There is no genre my mind can think of to classify this band. It’s just short of techno...it boarders classical...and lingers on the fringes of rock, Singing in a weird form of icelandic that even the locals struggle to understand....their lead singer can send chills through your body with his almost in human vocals. Their songs remind me of sweet lullabies, that make you feel morose and triumphal all at once.“Dazed and confused” comes to mind, fallowed by “clear and crystallize”. Im dying to see these guys live, stories tell of even new york locals at a night club hushing the chitter chatter at the serving bar so they can hear the music better. *laughter* even a journalist that was so amazed by the music she had to go to the bathroom to throw up.    i have to admit ive never been a fan of photography....but this guy is amazing. he sent me for loops of awe.

   I am really special cause there’s only one of me, look at my smile I’m so damn happy other people are jealous of me. When I’m sad and lonely I like to sing this song, it cheers me up and shows me that I won’t be sufferin’ long oh oh oh. I’m so happy I can barely breath, puppy dogs, and sugar frogs, and kittens, baby teeth. Watch out all you mothers I’m happy as hardcore; happy as a coupon for a 20-dollar whore ha ha ha ha. I’m really happy I’m sugar coated me, happy good, angry bad, that’s my philosophy…..
