I made a journal header thing =)

So I decided the other day that I want to try and draw something big, like really big. OK... maybe 2'x3' or so. We will see... But I think it would be neat to have something large hanging on my wall, that is my artwork.

I don't know about everyone else, but whenever I need motivation to draw, I look at the wonderfully talented artists that are here on DA. I love looking at everyone's progress over time; it gives me so much motivation to continue learning and drawing. You ALL are so talented here...

Soooo, I should be getting to bed, but I'm not. I'm here with all of the other loverly Deviant Art artists. ^_^

I'm new at these Journal things, so bear with me!

I figured I should introduce myself, and tell everyone a little bit about me. First off - Thank You for everyone's fav's on my gallery and all the Devaint Watchs and everything! It really does make me happy everytime there is a new person interested in my work :) :hug:

Ok... About Moi:

I'm Mandi :) I live in the hot state of Arizona, going to school for Fashion Design. Though I will be getting my AA soon in Fashion Design, I'm going to continue on at ASU in Psychology. I know... very odd change, but it took me a while to find what I truly truly could see myself doing as a career. First it was Fashion Design, then I thought Art, now... Psychology. Who knows where the wind will blow me next.

As for my artistic side... I have always been able to copy things, like cartoons, or pictures of horses, but I never thought anything of it. Then my first semester of college I thought I'd take Drawing I. And... the rest is history. I had an amazing teacher, and he taught me how to see things so much differently, and showed me the talent that I have inside. He also pushed me to do the best I could do, and never gave up hope on me. :) I never did portrait drawings in his class, but afterwards I started to, and my family was like, "WOH! Where did that come from?!" And I said, ".... my hand?" Or something like that. :P I have learned so SO much from everyone here on DA. I only took that one drawing class, and the rest I learned from practice and looking at others art pieces and learning from them. Thank you everyone for inspiring me to continue to push myself to learn new things. :hug:

If anyone has questions, feel free to ask! Any comments and/or constructive criticisms <--(sp?) on my artwork is greatly appreciated!
