Making a platforming game has made me start thinking very carefully about the mechanics of how a player moves his character through the game world.  Wall jumping in 3D is very tricky to get right.  And Earth's gravity seems really slow and floaty when you put it in a game.

I feel like the people that watch me might be interested in a game called Brink.  You can take a look at some screenshots at the game's official website: http://brinkthegame.com/  Its the new game from Splash Damage, the guys that made the Enemy Territory games.  I can't speak to the gameplay, I wasn't at Quakecon or GamesCom, but the screenshots are amazing.  I'd be hard pressed to name another upcoming game with such inspiring visuals, so take a look and keep the game in your memory, these guys deserve their jobs. ]]>
