another year, another A-KON. And i must say, i had alot of fun (of course). But what was especially fun was my cosplay. I dressed as a blue spy from Team Fortress 2, along with , who was a blue engineer, it seems we were a big hit along with the rest of the many TF2 cosplayers at the con. Visit 's journal to see pics of us cosplaying with the other TF2 guys.

Along with A-Kon, yet another school semester has passed, and am i ever glad it's over. 2 buisness classes, a bio class, and a history class. Not THAT tough, but just enough to warrent me saying "yay! i'm done for now!" another 3 or so semesters from now, i'll be done with this, so i'm on the final countdown from here on. (insert the song final countdown here) heh.

anyway... wow.. alot has happened... i went to akon, which was awesome (read 's journal for more on that). i started school again, yippie, and.. recently, a damn hurricane struck southeast texas.... which.. btw, is where i live.

my house was ok, just haven't had power for a few days, though, LUCKILY my father has a generator, so we haven't been suffereing.... obviuosly. Hopefully, power will be back in the next day or so.

Though there were ALOT of people in my neighborhood who had trees fall on or near their homes. It's quite unfortunate, but the community helps it's own (unlike FEMA). Oh, and a word to the wise, ALWAY prepare before a hurricane, never say "oh i'll be fine, it won't be that bad". you know what happens to those people after the power goes out, they're the ones getting pissed off in grocery lines, picking fights at gas stations, and being generally displeased at those who WERE prepared.

Christmas was good. Got some good stuff. A new stereo for my truck (which i have STILL yet to install) ninja gaiden, some clothes (of course), but one of my fav gifts was the ORANGE BOX. Wow, i usually don't play fps, but this is an addictive bunch of games. Half life 2 is cool, but the real meat of the orange box is the sadistically funny Portal, and the ever so addictive Team Fortress 2 (i'm akuma_ninja, so watch your backs, literally) Been playing these two games for some time now.

My NEXT great game to get will be the ever anticipated, bad ass Devil May Cry 4. CAN'T wait for this game (even if vergil isn't in it..... as far as we know...)

anyway, more important things. I just started my next semester of college. I have all my classes on tuesdays and thursday, and they are philosophy, business principles, accounting, and history 2 (if you haven't noticed, i'm a business major) None are that hard, just they're all VERY long. but i can survive, i've been through worse.

well, that's it for now. With DMC4 coming up, there will probably be very few people to see me until i beat it. so see you after i kick some demon ass!

anyway, the biggest news of the time is I GOT A TRUCK! WHOO! yep, it's a sexy little red truck. It's, ironically, an isuzu hombre. (i was destined to have this truck, a japanese truck, with a mexican name, and american parts on the inside) heh.

school, is meh. i do know this... i will NEVER take another class before 9am EVER again. But aside from that, i'm on the tennis team at montgomery college. The semester's just about half over, so i'm looking forward to being done with this semster, so i can do something else.

other than that, nothing really. Other than the fact i am now the proud owner of a PS3! yeah, my friends surprised me with one a while ago. It's awesome... it just needs some more games to make it more kick ass.

*ahem* anyway.... yes.... this past weekend i had a rock marathon. On Saturday me, four friends of mine, and........ frankie's brother (darrell or daren i think) went to San Antonio for OZZFEST! Yes, aka Freefest. And wow... just, wow. They had some great bands there. We got there alittle late, but i heard 3 Inches of Blood (awesome band), HateBreed (good band), Lordi (very... unique band), Static X (awesome band) Lamb of God (good band), and finally, the prince of fucking darkness himself: OZZY OSBORNE. And his guitarist was none other than Zakk Wylde himself (metal heads will know what i'm talking about). And well, i've never head banged so hard in my life. the next day, i could barely talke and move my neck.

Then of course SOMEONE had to drive home from San Antonio that night... guess who. And my back hurt because of that.

Unfortunately for me, i had to be in that condition for PROJEKT REVOLUTION the very next day. And it was a good fest as well (not ozzfest good... but still pretty damn good). Though this time i only had 3 friends with me *GLARES AT SOMEONE* and no frankie bro this time. We heard Juilen-K (good, but very 80's), Taking Back Sunday ( ok band), HIM (ok emo band) My Chemical Romance (even though i believe the lead singer and guitarist are either gay, VERY bi, or VERY VERY good actors, they still put on one hell of a show; VERY good band) and finally Linking Park. EVERYONE was screaming their heads off for them. It was almost deafening. And they put on a hell of a show too.

that monday, i was saying "WHAT?" to everyone that talked to me. But it was COMPLETELY worth it.

I vote, best birthday EVER.

anyway, this past friday, me and a few of my friends went to see video games live; which the a symphony (the houston symphony in this case) performing songs from video game. And it was probably one of the best concerts i've ever been to. Before we went to the concert, they were having a guitar hero 2 contest. It was kinda sad, i'm usually playing either hard or expert songs, but the only song you could play was DEAD! by my chemical romance on medium. I ranked pretty high, my score was 116,000 ish, and the top score (the last time i checked) was 142,000 ish. There weren't many ahead of me..... but oh well...

anyway, after that, we went into the concert hall, and heard some awesome music from some very cool games....

pong (heh)

Metal Gear Solid 1,2,3, &4 (so awesome, even had THE BOX on stage, and an enemy with a light up exclamation mark over his head)

and this one japanese guy, my god, he literally played the theme to mario BLINDFOLDED, and then played the themes to tetris and super mario world at inhuman speeds ,his hands looked like they was going in fast forward... made me feel bad as a person... but it was awesome...

also, there was a frogger competition on stage, one of our friends actually got on stage (technically 2, but i don't know the other one) and he did pretty well, but lost by 30 point. But what REALLY sucks is he could have won a 2300 dollar ferrari laptop. (he vowed to never play frogger again)

and ended it with ONE WINGED ANGEL.... the best part of the night

then... well, the unpleasantness started.... when we left, we kinda got lost in downtown houston, now THAT was fun.... and since i was the one giving directions, it's quite natural that the DRIVE got pretty pissed at me (I SAID I'M SORRY!), but after realizing where we actually were, and a quick look at a map, we got on the right track home....

but even with getting lost, it was such an awesome night....

this year..... we weren't just students, we were chaperones... which means.... the little brats who are in high school list to US..... MUWAHAHAH.....i had to watch over 6 little brats.....

but we left thursday (long freaking bus ride) ... and i almost got attacked by 's lunch from the previous day..... we got there, and basically wandered around for a while till we we got bored of the beginning attractions and went to our rooms. Me personally, i beat a bunch of yu gi oh nerds at their own game....

friday, well, i was awoken suddenly... by a bitchy elbow drop.... bah. the con opened that day, so we wandered around alittle bit, then ate chinese food... FREE chinese food that is.... after that, the dealer's room open... and that was when my wallet decided to lose some weight... ALOT of weight.

later that night we, the sponsors, went to a few "taboo" segments: girls at cons (for the girls), boys at cons (for the guys) and finally... sex at cons.... i was so amused... funny as hell, but they actually said alot of stuff that's true ( and that i personally need to apply more often.... and get your mind outta the gutter, cause mine's not there on this one... for once)

it was around 3am, when my room mates , aka 3 of the little brats i had to look over, came back into the room... well.... it seems that one of them was slipped something alittle naughty into their drinks at the rave that they had been at, and this kid was tripping... so me, and two other sponsors had to take care of it BEFORE we answered to the leader (aka the sith lord). Luckily everything worked out, the kid was ok, we didn't get in trouble, and i got to see a bunch of kilt wearing policemen arrest a bunch of drunks that had been heckling us....

i didn't get much sleep friday night, but still got up at 7 saturday morning for breakfast with some voice actors (one of which was hogged by most of the other sponsors) then more random going wandering around the convention happened, when got hungery, so we go to the mall next door, well the mall also has a freakin ice rink, so i got dragged into skating, when i have never skated on ANYTHING in my life (skateboard, roller blade, or otherwise) needless to say, i fell.... alot. But in less than two hours i was doing pretty good, skating on my own without having to grab the side of the rink ever 5 seconds..... my freakin ankle still hurts....

then apples to apples.... ahhh.... me and were the most disturbing people there, cause we always used or picked the most destructive or evil things ( heh, the kkk is exquisite , right zevvy?)

sunday was banquet day, and and i got to eat with scott ramsoomair (vgcats author). well, we atleast thought we were.... when it was 20 minutes into the banquet, and we were the only table with no guest. So, in true ninja fashion, i tracked him down ( i did ALOT of tracking on this trip, i tracked down other sponsor's brats, my own brats, comic creators, security guards, and so on)

then we left, went home, and i slept for 14 hours....

thus ending another akon... I WANNA GO BACK NEXT YEAR!

ok, well, these last 3 weeks have been, pretty unusual. well, unusual for me atleast. but unusual in a good way. I've seen a bunch of movies with friends, stayed out all night (well, mostly all night) paintballed for the first time (with painful results) and have even LARPed a few times (with slightly less painful results). Im working, not as much as i would want to, but money's money i supppose. i'm seeing my friends some, not as much as i would like, but seeing them from time to time is better than never. that's the only down side to school being done, i don't get to see my friends as much anymore, which is sad.

But even so, it kicked alot of ass to see those two awsome bands, and hopefully next on my list of bands to see will be none other than the zumbie himself, ROB ZOMBIE! meheheheh, it rocks when you know the right people.

Some CDs (seether, led zepplin, black sabbath, ac dc, robert plant) then a got some nice cloths ( my mom knows what i like) and of course, some video games, star wars battlefront 2 and the new dragonball z fighter. Not much, but i'm satisfied, hell, more than satisfied.

And i know i'd get grief from some of my friends if i didn't say what they got me:

an awsome book on the history and teachings of the samurai
cameron: built me a very cool video game rack
