I decided to clean up my DA gallery. Most of the old stuff is gone (it was so awkward to look at old artwork!) and some of the newer pictures as well. Those are available on my sites: the English one [link] and the Hungarian [link]

I really recommend the English site, not only because it's English so most of you can understand it, but also because it's updated regularly. I know, I'm such a lazy person. But that's ok as long as I have comfortable and fast admin area for the site
(the Hungarian will be updated as well, but I don't know when. Probably when I'll feel like updating it... it's so hard to get myself edit the PHP and HTML and create all those thumbnails manually)

So look for all my work on my sites. DA is only a representation.

Wooooohoooooo!!!

My birthday present was a new printer (to replace that money-eater sucker whose brand name is 2 letter starting with an 'H' and ending with a ' P ' ) and since there was a good chance that the one, which is for a good price will be combined with a scanner, fax and whatever extension I really won't ever need, I hoped that I would be able to finally scan my sketches.

Of course it has a scanner, though not as great as my old one (don't worry baby, I haven't forget about you, I just need to get a new power supply for you somehow!), but at least I can scan my sketches and traditional stuff. At the moment I only have sketches, but I could upload a whole sketchbook if I wanted, so I had to select only the acceptable pages...

So that is why there are a lot of new sketches among my scraps. Soon I'll upload them to pannadraws.com as well, and at last I can colour under pencil drawing and ink manually again!

Finally I finished my new site: [link]

Those who doesn't speak Hungarian (most of you, I know ) will find this better than my other site. It's also much developed and applies web2.0 features such as commenting on blog posts. Oh, by the way I merged the two ideas, that is, starting an artblog and making an English site, and pannadraws.com combines the two.

Also, my webdesign work has a pretty, elegant gallery as well (after all this is what I'm doing for a living, it has to have a nice gallery ).

Now I'll get back to artwork again and will post WIP pictures and other (mostly) art-related stuff there, as well as my pictures and finished work as usual. The difference is that this site is made especially for the community so that everyone should understand and anyone can comment.

The old site, pannarajzol.hu will be updated as well but I'm not planning to make it as great as the English site is, at least not in this summer. However, the new site can be expanded easily, so there might be some new features soon

Check it out: [link]

YES, I finished that freaking university (at least the BA part) and passed all my final exams. I just have to get that piece of paper and that's all. Though I applied for MA, I'll be always that naive person who thinks it will be different... Nevermind.

Meanwhile I didn't really had the time to draw or do anything creative beside using Google and other good source sites creatively for my thesis and such things. So I'm finished, I have to work of course, but I have time again to spend on personal art, not on designs, not on something that is made for money (i.e. I'm not the person who really creates it...) I've already uploaded some new pieces.

I plan to create a new site, an English one, for the domain pannadraws.com [link] Now it still leads you to my Hungarian site but as soon as I have a good idea about its appearance I'm going to come out with something for the English speaking community. That will be my "serious" site, perhaps later I'll make it available in Hungarian as well, but English will be its major language. I've been always trying to be sooooo serious about my reference site but after all I'm an idiot and I have to show that

So I'll have two sites, one for my idiot self and one for the wannabe-serious. And I have to create a blog. Its language hasn't been decided yet - I don't want two blogs with different languages, it's enough for me to make up so much stupid talk in one version - so we'll see.

Hey, and I'm finished. No more BA. Is that true?
Sure it's true ^^

Hi everyone,

So I update my journal... I'll be very brief.

I'm back from Transylvania which was extremely amazing and uber-great. I strongly recommend all the people who cares to read this journal visiting that place before it disappears. It's April and there is still snow in the mountains (at the peak of Havasok and in Hargita), the landscape is incredible and impossible to be described. Photos speak instead of me.
I found it odd (and probably others would also find it odd) that there wasn't enough change in the country. Yes, that's true. In all the shops (and believe me, we bought things in several shops since it was a tour with the band Kárpátia and we stopped at a lot of towns) we got the change in chewing gums. This was a general problem and I collected a few of them.
Well, the time on the bus was sometimes funny and sometimes boring. The members of Kárpátia were sitting next to us and they were rather funny especially after drinking some beer So overall the tour was great, great and great.

Last weekend 50000 (yes, that's four zeros) cyclists gathered to rule the streets of Budapest Critical Mass is the largest demonstration in the country which is organised by cyclists for cyclists (and others who don't use cars or motorcycles). Its site should tell you everything: [link]
Perhaps I upload more pictures taken during the demonstration later.

Oh, and my website [link] was also updated.

Three days passed and I still love it! Life at the university is much better than it was at highscool. Every day I meet new people and the classes are great! First I thought that it would be difficult to understand all those things because all my major classes are in English. But those are great. And the other ones? Well, they are awful. Boring. My brain flows out of my head, I could say.

But thanks to my great schedule I have more time to draw. I mean now. We'll see what will happen in December... O_o

Oh, and put the new album of New Found Glory in your players. I highly recommend "Too good to be".
I'm tagged!
Tagged by:
Here are the rules:
List 10 things about your art and post it in your journal. Then pick six other deviants to do the same.

1. If I can call myself an artist then I'm a fantasy artist.
2. I also take photos then post those here that I can call "artistic"
3. Drawing dragons is fun. I love them.
4. Drawing female bodies is much easier than drawing male ones.
5. I have about 30 linearts that I'll never finish.
6. I have to finish a picture within a few days or else I won't finish it. Yes, I'm such a bad person, I always loose my enthusiasm :/
7. Music is the best partner when you want to draw.
8. Photoshop and my wacom tablet are my friends. Respect them
9. Usually I don't take commissions. When I don't have to study or deal with school I have plenty things to do and I don't have time for this. And I want to spend my drawing-time on drawing things that turn me off.
10. One day I want to start my own comic... But I need to be better at drawing and I need a story... I'm absolutely not a novelist. I have ideas but they need to be organised to create a great story.

Wow, writing these things took me about an hour...

Now I tag:

Have fun!

I think I should write something here now. This summer is about changes in my life and I hardly get some drawings done. Today I finished the lineart of a new pic but I don't think I'm able to scan it in the next few weeks. (This is really complicated... I got my scanner from the USA but here in Hungary we have different sockets and plugs so I need a - I hope it's called that - booster negative to use the scanner. This device is in my brother's room and I can only use my scanner when my brother's computer is turned on. But it's broken now...)

And because I mentioned changes I have to write about my new school! Unfortunately I wasn't choosen to continue drawing in the third round at that university (you know, the Képzőművészeti Egyetem) but at least I tried it. And, fortunately, next year I'm going to study at Pázmány (another university, not about art). And what makes me happy, I'm going to study English, and everything about English culture, history and things connected to English. Wow, I'm enthusiastic!

Anyway, I didn't have enough time to do anything but taking photos. This is going to change, too. As soon as I can use the scanner I start drawing again (at least I colour that lineart which I have mentioned before). But I should go now. Writing in English is a hard thing to do when you haven't used it for months

Wow, my exams are all over Now the only thing I have to do is to wait and see whether I'm good enough and whether my applications are accepted... Well, I don't care. Exams are over. *thinking about this all day*

And I think I should get back to work now... I can't remember when was the last time I uploaded something. I have the outlines of a resting dragon on a balcony (or sth...) with curtains, coloums, large rugs and pillows with mediterranean patterns and other stuff. This sketch has been lying on my desk for a long time... I drew and inked it before my literature exam started. I think I'll start my artistic life again with this lovely piece

Oh and I almost forgot to mention the fact that I have one more exam... but it's not like the others. Because I passed the first selection held by the University of Arts (Képzőművészeti Egyetem) I'm allowed to be there when the bell goes out for the next round... It will be MUCH harder and MORE difficult than any of my previous exams. I don't hope anything, I'm just going to try to do my best. Believe me, I'll be the most surprised if I'm successful

Anyway, what's the worst thing that could happen? I'll have a year off (That's a long holiday, isn't it?)

That's all for now, I think. The next time I write here I will show you some (or only one as I know myself) pretty(?) new artwork. Bye! *going to have fun all day and all week...*

I uploaded the portraits that I mentioned in my previous journal entry. It's in the sraps beacause they aren't finished. They're just studies
I decided to take photos of them and I think this method was good enough. Of course I still needed to use Photoshop to give them acceptable appearance
And I want to say thank you to everyone who commented on the previous entry. Your ideas and hints were really useful!

I realized that I have plenty of drawings that I haven't uploaded yet. But there's a problem. These drawings are portraits of real persons and are created on very large papers (size A/2, if this tells something to someone). The problem is that I can't scan drawings so large. The question is: should I try to take a photo of them and submit that, or should I leave those pics behind my desk where I found them? Although I'm going to try to take photos I'm interested in your opinion.

Wow. So now I created a gallery at last. It's nice to belong such a big community. I've been watching DA for a few months and I always wanted to see my own pics up here.
To speak about something else, I'm really busy right now. I'm going to finish high school at the end of this term so I should study now instead of writing a journal So see you later!

And thanks for all the comments!
