Yes you heard it right I am going to be soon Self Publishing one of my children's books. I just got the first proof yesterday in the mail. It looks good. It is paginated wrong but that is because Lulu.com has no information on which page it will start printing on. So right now it going to my friend Barry who is going to copy edit the book and I am going to finish the color corrections next week. I hope to have a book ready for sale with my other cool bit of news.

The long awaited update to my website. It will have new and improved crayons and a new layouts. Check out the new layout designs in my gallery.

ELEMENT 12420: This Flash asked for a resizing canvas, so make your browser window different sizes and see what happens.

Fort Totten Square: It was fun to make the transitions from page to page and the semi 2d/3d panel swap. The client ended up adding music so that is why the load is so big.

The MET GRAMERCY This page I have had to learn how to deal with XML from a feed. It was an interesting challenge. But the building tour turn out well and the client was happy with it.

1. I am honored and happy to be brought to the attention of so many great people in DA through the features listed above.

2. I will never be able to thank everyone individually for all the watches and 's that have happened. I went to bed at 2 am with no messages and this morning I woke up 200 and the number keeps gowning. So Right here and now THANK YOU! you are all great in my eyes. I will try to whittle down the number but I might never get there.
3. Because of the before mentioned I have had a painting of mine get more then 100 's yes I don't have any other painting that have more. This is the painting that has gotten so much love.



4. That is it for first today, but there is always tomorrow.


5. So tomorrow hasn't happened but I just learned that the above piece has been flagged as a Daily Deviation. So yeah it has been a great day.

Have you ever flipped a painting in the mirror to see what you have done wrong. Well I find that when I flip a painting it looks better the other way around. I am not dyslexic to a point that it gives me major problems but I am always amused that I am dyslexic enough to design backwards. Right now I am working on the Mountain Titian and somewhere in the painting I wanted to look at it in a different way.

So I flipped it. Thought about adding some goats; changed the dimension of the painting; altered some colors; punched the contrast; painted over some crappy bits of the painting; and now I am looking at a painting that is much more dynaimic and it is all thanks to the flexibility of digital. In the grand scheme of things a good day with me is talking with good friends sharing a cup of coffee with them then cracking to a project that I am proud of.



So, today wasn't any of those things. It was a day of running around and taking care of business. It was filled with excuses and complications and it just ended up taking me away from the things that make me really happy. It is what we all do with our lives.



When did it happen to us all? When did we put value into things that wasn't our family of friends? I love my friends. They keep me going; they feed me inspiration; and they are my compass for my morality. I am writing this small note because I wanted to thank all the people I call family.



I would never be as strong as I am without all of you.

It is not just because of the normal reasons. It is more the fact that it leaves me so conflicted. I don't celebrate this holiday for many reasons.

Sometimes I just don't have anyone to celebrate with. I am usually not stricken with loneliness. But on this day it is palpable. It hurts I have to admit. I also don't celebrate this holiday because my strongest memory of this holiday is being dumped on this day with my first girlfriend while I had half a dozen roses in my locker and teddy bear in my backpack that I was just about to give her. Yeah it SUCKED trust me.

The problem is that there are a lot of bad feelings that comes with this day but to compete with the ill I am also a HUGE romantic. Anyone who knows me well knows that. Honor, Loyalty, and Passion are major parts of my personality. I love the women in my life with the same passion that I put into my art. My greatest moment of struggling with holiday is with a girl named Serra. I just couldn't get over my feelings for the holiday that I gave her a rose every day of the week besides V-day and on the end of the week I had another half a dozen roses waiting at the restaurant we were going to. She didn’t know what to say about not receiving something on Valentines Day but said I made a proclamation of love over a week which with most is usually a hollow jester on a single day

Yeah So I don't know why I am complaining it is just something that has to be said. Romance is spontaneous I have never believed I needed a day to remind me to do it. I just wish this day didn't remind me of the times when I can't express the side of me. I always celebrate the love of a great woman like everyday was Valentines Day.

This post is for the women I have loved fully and passionately and only because we walk different paths is why I don't call you lovers but thankfully I call you friends.

Life has been good. My real job has been getting in the way lately of doing and of my happy illustrations but all in all life is good. I have lately been collecting my thoughts on what pieces I will be sending on to Spectrum. It is my first year entereing and it would be a great moral boost to have a placement in this years cataloge. I have been trying hard to produce more fantasy work so I can submit to WOTC I will be sending that off in April. I know it is just an arbitrary deadline but I work best with scheduals.

So my shared New Year's Resoluctions

1.(this is a role over from last year) To be more silly

2. Finish another children's book (I hope the "Rockwall")

3. Make all the changes in "The Commute on the C-line"
