I just posted the next issue in the very long but soon to be epic Wizcon storyline.

The art style has changed for the better. I feel the days of lineless comics are over and I started to see my style lose dynamism.
I also altered the color palette to be a little less gray.

This is a Public Service Announcement. There is a new artistÂs organization in town, the Twin Cities Artists Collective.

On July 26th 5-7pm, they will host their first reception at Broadview Mansion. The Group exhibition entitled Public Service Announcement will feature work by Chris Willie, Dane Sorenson, Matt Wiley, Natalie Wetzel, Bekah McLean, Jonah Ortiz, Melanie Scott-Dockery, Joann Goetzinger, and Nam Clark.
Come see contemporary sculpture and paintings by local artists in this wonderful 1906 mansion built for Bird and Margaret Van Leer. Refreshments will be served at the reception. In case you cannot make the reception the exhibit will be on display until August 1.

Broadview Mansion is located at 1301 South Fell Avenue Normal, Illinois.

Twin Cities Artists Collective formed to promote the professional activities of member artists and connect with the Bloomington/Normal community.

I've just been really busy lately.
I received and am still receiving a bunch of freelance work from the mayor in my town and I just finished an extra design class I took at my college.

It's been about two months since I updated my webcomic HYPERBOYCOMICS and I'm working on some filler material (in my awesome painterly style) and posting the progress in my gallery. This issue has nothing to do with the current WIZCON convention storyline currently in production.

I guarantee you will like what's coming in the next few issues.

On a side note, my animated short Grandma and the Funeral got first place in the Bloomington Normal Film Fest! I got an awesome HD camcorder which I will get much use out of!

I'm planning on releasing a pack of roughly postcard size versions of various posters from my gallery and I NEED YOUR HELP to decide which ones to print.

TENTATIVE DIMENSIONS AND PRICING
The cards currently measure 4.25" x 5.125"
Created and printed at 600dpi, these cards are extremely sharp and are printed on nice sturdy 80# cover stock.

I am currently working on packaging and pricing guidelines for these. But don't worry, they'll be inexpensive. I want this to be fun for everyone!

This was a little 24 minute cartoon that I cherished from my childhood (1991) and I could never remember the title or the characters names. I would occasionally see gift cards with the characters on vacation, but would never be able to look it up and find out what they were. This was way before the saviors known as YouTube and Google.
And the only thing I could remember from the movie was the penguin faxing a letter to santa and a mentally deficient cat belching.

Having just watched again, I was amazed of the level of adult humor in it. If you haven't seen this yet, find it. It's awesome, and it brings me back to a time when Saturday morning cartoons were written well.

I recently purchased a major software bundle and a desktop recorder, so soon I will be making a series of
Graphic Design and Photoshop Tutorials.

I will probably be releasing these on YouTube or maybe Blogger, possibly here depending on file size and resolution. I will also put out a few humorous and insightful rant movies about things that people ask about.

Any suggestions on what you'd like to see tutorial wise? I was going to start out with Photoshop basics and move into digital painting with and without a Tablet, the Pen tool and Photoshop vector art.

I am taking a vacation for a few months to complete some important term papers and other requirements before I graduate. This is my last semester, I've done great so far and I can't start screwing up now.

In other news, not suprisingly after 6 months of use my iPod died...again.
This is the third iPod I have ever owned and it has consistently had a 6 month lifespan.

Also, buy Dan Wilson's new CD "Free Life" its awesome. He's the lead singer for the group Semisonic who made "Closing Time"

I've really enjoyed school in its entirety and I will miss it when its gone.

Promo Posters for hyperboyCOMICS

After one year of consistent weekly updates and 50 marvelous issues, Hyperboy has finished. But that doesn't mean I am.
I am creating seven comic series that are spin-offs of Hyperboy and I am creating the environments in VR.
